Today's Date: ======= Numbers 6:1 ============ Num 6:1 Again the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,(nasb) Num 6:1 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων (lxx) Num 6:1 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens:(vulgate) Num 6:1 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:(dhs) Num 6:1 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:2 ============ Num 6:2 "Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'When a man or woman makes a special vow, the vow of a Nazirite, to dedicate himself to the Lord,(nasb) Num 6:2 λάλησον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ καὶ ἐρεῖς πρὸς αὐτούς ἀνὴρ ἢ γυνή ὃς ἐὰν μεγάλως εὔξηται εὐχὴν ἀφαγνίσασθαι ἁγνείαν κυρίῳ (lxx) Num 6:2 Loquere ad filios Israël, et dices ad eos: Vir, sive mulier, cum fecerint votum ut sanctificentur, et se voluerint Domino consecrare:(vulgate) Num 6:2 Sage den Kindern Israel und sprich zu ihnen: Wenn ein Mann oder Weib ein besonderes Gelübde tut, dem HERRN sich zu enthalten,(dhs) Num 6:2 "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'When either a man or woman consecrates an offering to take the vow of a Nazirite, to separate himself to the Lord,(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:3 ============ Num 6:3 he shall abstain from wine and strong drink; he shall drink no vinegar, whether made from wine or strong drink, nor shall he drink any grape juice nor eat fresh or dried grapes.(nasb) Num 6:3 ἀπὸ οἴνου καὶ σικερα ἁγνισθήσεται ἀπὸ οἴνου καὶ ὄξος ἐξ οἴνου καὶ ὄξος ἐκ σικερα οὐ πίεται καὶ ὅσα κατεργάζεται ἐκ σταφυλῆς οὐ πίεται καὶ σταφυλὴν πρόσφατον καὶ σταφίδα οὐ φάγεται (lxx) Num 6:3 a vino, et omni quod inebriare potest, abstinebunt. Acetum ex vino, et ex qualibet alia potione, et quidquid de uva exprimitur, non bibent: uvas recentes siccasque non comedent(vulgate) Num 6:3 der soll sich Weins und starken Getränks enthalten; Weinessig oder Essig von starkem Getränk soll er auch nicht trinken, auch nichts, das aus Weinbeeren gemacht wird; er soll weder frische noch dürre Weinbeeren essen.(dhs) Num 6:3 he shall separate himself from wine and similar drink; he shall drink neither vinegar made from wine nor vinegar made from similar drink; neither shall he drink any grape juice, nor eat fresh grapes or raisins.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:4 ============ Num 6:4 All the days of his separation he shall not eat anything that is produced by the grape vine, from the seeds even to the skin.(nasb) Num 6:4 πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς εὐχῆς αὐτοῦ ἀπὸ πάντων ὅσα γίνεται ἐξ ἀμπέλου οἶνον ἀπὸ στεμφύλων ἕως γιγάρτου οὐ φάγεται (lxx) Num 6:4 cunctis diebus quibus ex voto Domino consecrantur: quidquid ex vinea esse potest, ab uva passa usque ad acinum non comedent.(vulgate) Num 6:4 Solange solch ein Gelübde währt, soll er nichts essen, das man vom Weinstock macht, vom Weinkern bis zu den Hülsen.(dhs) Num 6:4 All the days of his separation he shall eat nothing that is produced by the grapevine, from seed to skin.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:5 ============ Num 6:5 'All the days of his vow of separation no razor shall pass over his head. He shall be holy until the days are fulfilled for which he separated himself to the Lord; he shall let the locks of hair on his head grow long.(nasb) Num 6:5 πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς εὐχῆς τοῦ ἁγνισμοῦ ξυρὸν οὐκ ἐπελεύσεται ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ ἕως ἂν πληρωθῶσιν αἱ ἡμέραι ὅσας ηὔξατο κυρίῳ ἅγιος ἔσται τρέφων κόμην τρίχα κεφαλῆς (lxx) Num 6:5 Omni tempore separationis suæ novacula non transibit per caput ejus usque ad completum diem, quo Domino consecratur. Sanctus erit, crescente cæsarie capitis ejus.(vulgate) Num 6:5 Solange die Zeit solches seines Gelübdes währt, soll kein Schermesser über sein Haupt fahren, bis das die Zeit aus sei, die er dem HERRN gelobt hat; denn er ist heilig und soll das Haar auf seinem Haupt lassen frei wachsen.(dhs) Num 6:5 All the days of the vow of his separation no razor shall come upon his head; until the days are fulfilled for which he separated himself to the Lord, he shall be holy. Then he shall let the locks of the hair of his head grow.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:6 ============ Num 6:6 'All the days of his separation to the Lord he shall not go near to a dead person.(nasb) Num 6:6 πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς εὐχῆς κυρίῳ ἐπὶ πάσῃ ψυχῇ τετελευτηκυίᾳ οὐκ εἰσελεύσεται (lxx) Num 6:6 Omni tempore consecrationis suæ, super mortuum non ingredietur,(vulgate) Num 6:6 Die ganze Zeit über, die er dem HERRN gelobt hat, soll er zu keinem Toten gehen.(dhs) Num 6:6 All the days that he separates himself to the Lord he shall not go near a dead body.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:7 ============ Num 6:7 He shall not make himself unclean for his father or for his mother, for his brother or for his sister, when they die, because his separation to God is on his head.(nasb) Num 6:7 ἐπὶ πατρὶ καὶ ἐπὶ μητρὶ καὶ ἐπ᾽ ἀδελφῷ καὶ ἐπ᾽ ἀδελφῇ οὐ μιανθήσεται ἐπ᾽ αὐτοῖς ἀποθανόντων αὐτῶν ὅτι εὐχὴ θεοῦ αὐτοῦ ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ ἐπὶ κεφαλῆς αὐτοῦ (lxx) Num 6:7 nec super patris quidem et matris et fratris sororisque funere contaminabitur, quia consecratio Dei sui super caput ejus est.(vulgate) Num 6:7 Er soll sich auch nicht verunreinigen an dem Tod seines Vaters, seiner Mutter, seines Bruders oder seiner Schwester; denn das Gelübde seines Gottes ist auf seinem Haupt.(dhs) Num 6:7 He shall not make himself unclean even for his father or his mother, for his brother or his sister, when they die, because his separation to God is on his head.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:8 ============ Num 6:8 All the days of his separation he is holy to the Lord.(nasb) Num 6:8 πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς εὐχῆς αὐτοῦ ἅγιος ἔσται κυρίῳ (lxx) Num 6:8 Omnibus diebus separationis suæ sanctus erit Domino.(vulgate) Num 6:8 Die ganze Zeit seines Gelübdes soll er dem HERRN heilig sein.(dhs) Num 6:8 All the days of his separation he shall be holy to the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:9 ============ Num 6:9 'But if a man dies very suddenly beside him and he defiles his dedicated head of hair, then he shall shave his head on the day when he becomes clean; he shall shave it on the seventh day.(nasb) Num 6:9 ἐὰν δέ τις ἀποθάνῃ ἐξάπινα ἐπ᾽ αὐτῷ παραχρῆμα μιανθήσεται ἡ κεφαλὴ εὐχῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ ξυρήσεται τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ ᾗ ἂν ἡμέρᾳ καθαρισθῇ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ἑβδόμῃ ξυρηθήσεται (lxx) Num 6:9 Sin autem mortuus fuerit subito quispiam coram eo, polluetur caput consecrationis ejus: quod radet illico in eadem die purgationis suæ, et rursum septima.(vulgate) Num 6:9 Und wo jemand vor ihm unversehens plötzlich stirbt, da wird das Haupt seines Gelübdes verunreinigt; darum soll er sein Haupt scheren am Tage seiner Reinigung, das ist am siebenten Tage.(dhs) Num 6:9 'And if anyone dies very suddenly beside him, and he defiles his consecrated head, then he shall shave his head on the day of his cleansing; on the seventh day he shall shave it.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:10 ============ Num 6:10 Then on the eighth day he shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the priest, to the doorway of the tent of meeting.(nasb) Num 6:10 καὶ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ ὀγδόῃ οἴσει δύο τρυγόνας ἢ δύο νεοσσοὺς περιστερῶν πρὸς τὸν ἱερέα ἐπὶ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου (lxx) Num 6:10 In octava autem die offeret duos turtures, vel duos pullos columbæ sacerdoti in introitu fœderis testimonii.(vulgate) Num 6:10 Und am achten Tage soll er zwei Turteltauben bringen oder zwei junge Tauben zum Priester vor die Tür der Hütte des Stifts.(dhs) Num 6:10 Then on the eighth day he shall bring two turtledoves or two young pigeons to the priest, to the door of the tabernacle of meeting;(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:11 ============ Num 6:11 The priest shall offer one for a sin offering and the other for a burnt offering, and make atonement for him concerning his sin because of the dead person. And that same day he shall consecrate his head,(nasb) Num 6:11 καὶ ποιήσει ὁ ἱερεὺς μίαν περὶ ἁμαρτίας καὶ μίαν εἰς ὁλοκαύτωμα καὶ ἐξιλάσεται περὶ αὐτοῦ ὁ ἱερεὺς περὶ ὧν ἥμαρτεν περὶ τῆς ψυχῆς καὶ ἁγιάσει τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ ἐν ἐκείνῃ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ (lxx) Num 6:11 Faciet sacerdos unum pro peccato, et alterum in holocaustum, et deprecabitur pro eo, quia peccavit super mortuo: sanctificabitque caput ejus in die illo:(vulgate) Num 6:11 Und der Priester soll eine zum Sündopfer und die andere zum Brandopfer machen und ihn versöhnen, darum daß er sich an einem Toten versündigt hat, und also sein Haupt desselben Tages heiligen,(dhs) Num 6:11 and the priest shall offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering, and make atonement for him, because he sinned in regard to the corpse; and he shall sanctify his head that same day.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:12 ============ Num 6:12 and shall dedicate to the Lord his days as a Nazirite, and shall bring a male lamb a year old for a guilt offering; but the former days will be void because his separation was defiled.(nasb) Num 6:12 ᾗ ἡγιάσθη κυρίῳ τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς εὐχῆς καὶ προσάξει ἀμνὸν ἐνιαύσιον εἰς πλημμέλειαν καὶ αἱ ἡμέραι αἱ πρότεραι ἄλογοι ἔσονται ὅτι ἐμιάνθη κεφαλὴ εὐχῆς αὐτοῦ (lxx) Num 6:12 et consecrabit Domino dies separationis illius, offerens agnum anniculum pro peccato: ita tamen ut dies priores irriti fiant, quoniam polluta est sanctificatio ejus.(vulgate) Num 6:12 daß er dem HERRN die Zeit seines Gelübdes aushalte. Und soll ein jähriges Lamm bringen zum Schuldopfer. Aber die vorigen Tage sollen umsonst sein, darum daß sein Gelübde verunreinigt ist.(dhs) Num 6:12 He shall consecrate to the Lord the days of his separation, and bring a male lamb in its first year as a trespass offering; but the former days shall be lost, because his separation was defiled.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:13 ============ Num 6:13 'Now this is the law of the Nazirite when the days of his separation are fulfilled, he shall bring the offering to the doorway of the tent of meeting.(nasb) Num 6:13 καὶ οὗτος ὁ νόμος τοῦ εὐξαμένου ᾗ ἂν ἡμέρᾳ πληρώσῃ ἡμέρας εὐχῆς αὐτοῦ προσοίσει αὐτὸς παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου (lxx) Num 6:13 Ista est lex consecrationis. Cum dies, quos ex voto decreverat, complebuntur, adducet eum ad ostium tabernaculi fœderis,(vulgate) Num 6:13 Dies ist das Gesetz des Gottgeweihten: wenn die Zeit seines Gelübdes aus ist, so soll man ihn bringen vor die Tür der Hütte des Stifts.(dhs) Num 6:13 'Now this is the law of the Nazirite: When the days of his separation are fulfilled, he shall be brought to the door of the tabernacle of meeting.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:14 ============ Num 6:14 He shall present his offering to the Lord: one male lamb a year old without defect for a burnt offering and one ewe-lamb a year old without defect for a sin offering and one ram without defect for a peace offering,(nasb) Num 6:14 καὶ προσάξει τὸ δῶρον αὐτοῦ κυρίῳ ἀμνὸν ἐνιαύσιον ἄμωμον ἕνα εἰς ὁλοκαύτωσιν καὶ ἀμνάδα ἐνιαυσίαν ἄμωμον μίαν εἰς ἁμαρτίαν καὶ κριὸν ἕνα ἄμωμον εἰς σωτήριον (lxx) Num 6:14 et offeret oblationes ejus Domino, agnum anniculum immaculatum in holocaustum, et ovem anniculam immaculatam pro peccato, et arietem immaculatum, hostiam pacificam,(vulgate) Num 6:14 Und er soll bringen sein Opfer dem HERRN, ein jähriges Lamm ohne Fehl zum Brandopfer und ein jähriges Schaf ohne Fehl zum Sündopfer und einen Widder ohne Fehl zum Dankopfer(dhs) Num 6:14 And he shall present his offering to the Lord: one male lamb in its first year without blemish as a burnt offering, one ewe lamb in its first year without blemish as a sin offering, one ram without blemish as a peace offering,(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:15 ============ Num 6:15 and a basket of unleavened cakes of fine flour mixed with oil and unleavened wafers spread with oil, along with their grain offering and their drink offering.(nasb) Num 6:15 καὶ κανοῦν ἀζύμων σεμιδάλεως ἄρτους ἀναπεποιημένους ἐν ἐλαίῳ καὶ λάγανα ἄζυμα κεχρισμένα ἐν ἐλαίῳ καὶ θυσία αὐτῶν καὶ σπονδὴ αὐτῶν (lxx) Num 6:15 canistrum quoque panum azymorum qui conspersi sint oleo, et lagana absque fermento uncta oleo, ac libamina singulorum:(vulgate) Num 6:15 und einen Korb mit ungesäuerten Kuchen von Semmelmehl, mit Öl gemengt, und ungesäuerte Fladen, mit Öl bestrichen, und ihre Speisopfer und Trankopfer.(dhs) Num 6:15 a basket of unleavened bread, cakes of fine flour mixed with oil, unleavened wafers anointed with oil, and their grain offering with their drink offerings.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:16 ============ Num 6:16 Then the priest shall present them before the Lord and shall offer his sin offering and his burnt offering.(nasb) Num 6:16 καὶ προσοίσει ὁ ἱερεὺς ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ ποιήσει τὸ περὶ ἁμαρτίας αὐτοῦ καὶ τὸ ὁλοκαύτωμα αὐτοῦ (lxx) Num 6:16 quæ offeret sacerdos coram Domino, et faciet tam pro peccato, quam in holocaustum.(vulgate) Num 6:16 Und der Priester soll's vor den HERRN bringen und soll sein Sündopfer und sein Brandopfer machen.(dhs) Num 6:16 Then the priest shall bring them before the Lord and offer his sin offering and his burnt offering;(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:17 ============ Num 6:17 He shall also offer the ram for a sacrifice of peace offerings to the Lord, together with the basket of unleavened cakes; the priest shall likewise offer its grain offering and its drink offering.(nasb) Num 6:17 καὶ τὸν κριὸν ποιήσει θυσίαν σωτηρίου κυρίῳ ἐπὶ τῷ κανῷ τῶν ἀζύμων καὶ ποιήσει ὁ ἱερεὺς τὴν θυσίαν αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν σπονδὴν αὐτοῦ (lxx) Num 6:17 Arietem vero immolabit hostiam pacificam Domino, offerens simul canistrum azymorum, et libamenta quæ ex more debentur.(vulgate) Num 6:17 Und den Widder soll er zum Dankopfer machen dem HERRN samt dem Korbe mit den ungesäuerten Brot; und soll auch sein Speisopfer und sein Trankopfer machen.(dhs) Num 6:17 and he shall offer the ram as a sacrifice of peace offering to the Lord, with the basket of unleavened bread; the priest shall also offer its grain offering and its drink offering.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:18 ============ Num 6:18 The Nazirite shall then shave his dedicated head of hair at the doorway of the tent of meeting, and take the dedicated hair of his head and put it on the fire which is under the sacrifice of peace offerings.(nasb) Num 6:18 καὶ ξυρήσεται ὁ ηὐγμένος παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου τὴν κεφαλὴν τῆς εὐχῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπιθήσει τὰς τρίχας ἐπὶ τὸ πῦρ ὅ ἐστιν ὑπὸ τὴν θυσίαν τοῦ σωτηρίου (lxx) Num 6:18 Tunc radetur nazaræus ante ostium tabernaculi fœderis cæsarie consecrationis suæ: tolletque capillos ejus, et ponet super ignem, qui est suppositus sacrificio pacificorum:(vulgate) Num 6:18 Und der Geweihte soll das Haupt seines Gelübdes scheren vor der Tür der Hütte des Stifts und soll das Haupthaar seines Gelübdes nehmen und aufs Feuer werfen, das unter dem Dankopfer ist.(dhs) Num 6:18 Then the Nazirite shall shave his consecrated head at the door of the tabernacle of meeting, and shall take the hair from his consecrated head and put it on the fire which is under the sacrifice of the peace offering.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:19 ============ Num 6:19 The priest shall take the ram's shoulder when it has been boiled, and one unleavened cake out of the basket and one unleavened wafer, and shall put them on the hands of the Nazirite after he has shaved his dedicated hair.(nasb) Num 6:19 καὶ λήμψεται ὁ ἱερεὺς τὸν βραχίονα ἑφθὸν ἀπὸ τοῦ κριοῦ καὶ ἄρτον ἕνα ἄζυμον ἀπὸ τοῦ κανοῦ καὶ λάγανον ἄζυμον ἓν καὶ ἐπιθήσει ἐπὶ τὰς χεῖρας τοῦ ηὐγμένου μετὰ τὸ ξυρήσασθαι αὐτὸν τὴν εὐχὴν αὐτοῦ (lxx) Num 6:19 et armum coctum arietis, tortamque absque fermento unam de canistro, et laganum azymum unum, et tradet in manus nazaræi, postquam rasum fuerit caput ejus.(vulgate) Num 6:19 Und der Priester soll den gekochten Bug nehmen von dem Widder und einen ungesäuerten Kuchen aus dem Korbe und einen ungesäuerten Fladen und soll's dem Geweihten auf sein Hände legen, nachdem er sein Gelübde abgeschoren hat,(dhs) Num 6:19 And the priest shall take the boiled shoulder of the ram, one unleavened cake from the basket, and one unleavened wafer, and put them upon the hands of the Nazirite after he has shaved his consecrated hair,(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:20 ============ Num 6:20 Then the priest shall wave them for a wave offering before the Lord. It is holy for the priest, together with the breast offered by waving and the thigh offered by lifting up; and afterward the Nazirite may drink wine.'(nasb) Num 6:20 καὶ προσοίσει αὐτὰ ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐπίθεμα ἔναντι κυρίου ἅγιον ἔσται τῷ ἱερεῖ ἐπὶ τοῦ στηθυνίου τοῦ ἐπιθέματος καὶ ἐπὶ τοῦ βραχίονος τοῦ ἀφαιρέματος καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα πίεται ὁ ηὐγμένος οἶνον (lxx) Num 6:20 Susceptaque rursum ab eo, elevabit in conspectu Domini: et sanctificata sacerdotis erunt, sicut pectusculum, quod separari jussum est, et femur. Post hæc, potest bibere nazaræus vinum.(vulgate) Num 6:20 und der Priester soll's vor dem HERRN weben. Das ist heilig dem Priester samt der Webebrust und der Hebeschulter. Darnach mag der Geweihte Wein trinken.(dhs) Num 6:20 and the priest shall wave them as a wave offering before the Lord; they are holy for the priest, together with the breast of the wave offering and the thigh of the heave offering. After that the Nazirite may drink wine.'(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:21 ============ Num 6:21 "This is the law of the Nazirite who vows his offering to the Lord according to his separation, in addition to what else he can afford; according to his vow which he takes, so he shall do according to the law of his separation."(nasb) Num 6:21 οὗτος ὁ νόμος τοῦ εὐξαμένου ὃς ἂν εὔξηται κυρίῳ δῶρον αὐτοῦ κυρίῳ περὶ τῆς εὐχῆς χωρὶς ὧν ἂν εὕρῃ ἡ χεὶρ αὐτοῦ κατὰ δύναμιν τῆς εὐχῆς αὐτοῦ ἣν ἂν εὔξηται κατὰ νόμον ἁγνείας (lxx) Num 6:21 Ista est lex nazaræi, cum voverit oblationem suam Domino tempore consecrationis suæ, exceptis his, quæ invenerit manus ejus: juxta quod mente devoverat, ita faciet ad perfectionem sanctificationis suæ.~(vulgate) Num 6:21 Das ist das Gesetz des Gottgeweihten, der sein Opfer dem HERRN gelobt wegen seines Gelübdes, außer dem, was er sonst vermag; wie er gelobt hat, soll er tun nach dem Gesetz seines Gelübdes.(dhs) Num 6:21 "This is the law of the Nazirite who vows to the Lord the offering for his separation, and besides that, whatever else his hand is able to provide; according to the vow which he takes, so he must do according to the law of his separation."(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:22 ============ Num 6:22 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,(nasb) Num 6:22 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων (lxx) Num 6:22 Locutusque est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens:(vulgate) Num 6:22 Und der HERR redete mit Mose und sprach:(dhs) Num 6:22 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:(nkjv) ======= Numbers 6:23 ============ Num 6:23 "Speak to Aaron and to his sons, saying, 'Thus you shall bless the sons of Israel. You shall say to them:(nasb) Num 6:23 λάλησον Ααρων καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς αὐτοῦ λέγων οὕτως εὐλογήσετε τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ λέγοντες αὐτοῖς καὶ ἐπιθήσουσιν τὸ ὄνομά μου ἐπὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς Ισραηλ καὶ ἐγὼ κύριος εὐλογήσω αὐτούς (lxx) Num 6:23 Loquere Aaron et filiis ejus: Sic benedicetis filiis Israël, et dicetis eis:(vulgate) Num 6:23 Sage Aaron und seinen Söhnen und sprich: Also sollt ihr sagen zu den Kindern Israel, wenn ihr sie segnet:(dhs) Num 6:23 "Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, 'This is the way you shall bless the children of Israel.
