Today's Date: ======= Numbers 27:1 ============ Num 27:1 Then the daughters of Zelophehad, the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, of the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph, came near; and these are the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah and Hoglah and Milcah and Tirzah.(nasb) Num 27:1 καὶ προσελθοῦσαι αἱ θυγατέρες Σαλπααδ υἱοῦ Οφερ υἱοῦ Γαλααδ υἱοῦ Μαχιρ τοῦ δήμου Μανασση τῶν υἱῶν Ιωσηφ καὶ ταῦτα τὰ ὀνόματα αὐτῶν Μαλα καὶ Νουα καὶ Εγλα καὶ Μελχα καὶ Θερσα (lxx) Num 27:1 Accesserunt autem filiæ Salphaad, filii Hepher, filii Galaad, filii Machir, filii Manasse, qui fuit filius Joseph: quarum sunt nomina, Maala, et Noa, et Hegla, et Melcha, et Thersa.(vulgate) Num 27:1 Und die Töchter Zelophehads, des Sohnes Hephers, des Sohnes Gileads, des Sohnes Machirs, des Sohnes Manasses, unter den Geschlechtern Manasses, des Sohnes Josephs, mit Namen Mahela, Noa, Hogla, Milka und Thirza, kamen herzu(dhs) Num 27:1 Then came the daughters of Zelophehad the son of Hepher, the son of Gilead, the son of Machir, the son of Manasseh, from the families of Manasseh the son of Joseph; and these were the names of his daughters: Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, Milcah, and Tirzah.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:2 ============ Num 27:2 They stood before Moses and before Eleazar the priest and before the leaders and all the congregation, at the doorway of the tent of meeting, saying,(nasb) Num 27:2 καὶ στᾶσαι ἔναντι Μωυσῆ καὶ ἔναντι Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἔναντι τῶν ἀρχόντων καὶ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς ἐπὶ τῆς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου λέγουσιν (lxx) Num 27:2 Steteruntque coram Moyse et Eleazaro sacerdote et cunctis principibus populi ad ostium tabernaculi fœderis, atque dixerunt:(vulgate) Num 27:2 und traten vor Mose und vor Eleasar, den Priester, und vor die Fürsten und die ganze Gemeinde vor der Tür der Hütte des Stifts und sprachen:(dhs) Num 27:2 And they stood before Moses, before Eleazar the priest, and before the leaders and all the congregation, by the doorway of the tabernacle of meeting, saying:(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:3 ============ Num 27:3 "Our father died in the wilderness, yet he was not among the company of those who gathered themselves together against the Lord in the company of Korah; but he died in his own sin, and he had no sons.(nasb) Num 27:3 ὁ πατὴρ ἡμῶν ἀπέθανεν ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ καὶ αὐτὸς οὐκ ἦν ἐν μέσῳ τῆς συναγωγῆς τῆς ἐπισυστάσης ἔναντι κυρίου ἐν τῇ συναγωγῇ Κορε ὅτι διὰ ἁμαρτίαν αὐτοῦ ἀπέθανεν καὶ υἱοὶ οὐκ ἐγένοντο αὐτῷ (lxx) Num 27:3 Pater noster mortuus est in deserto, nec fuit in seditione, quæ concitata est contra Dominum sub Core, sed in peccato suo mortuus est: hic non habuit mares filios. Cur tollitur nomen illius de familia sua, quia non habuit filium? date nobis possessionem inter cognatos patris nostri.(vulgate) Num 27:3 Unser Vater ist gestorben in der Wüste und war nicht mit unter der Gemeinde, die sich wider den HERRN empörte in der Rotte Korahs, sondern ist an seiner Sünde gestorben, und hatte keine Söhne.(dhs) Num 27:3 "Our father died in the wilderness; but he was not in the company of those who gathered together against the Lord, in company with Korah, but he died in his own sin; and he had no sons.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:4 ============ Num 27:4 Why should the name of our father be withdrawn from among his family because he had no son? Give us a possession among our father's brothers."(nasb) Num 27:4 μὴ ἐξαλειφθήτω τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ πατρὸς ἡμῶν ἐκ μέσου τοῦ δήμου αὐτοῦ ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτῷ υἱός δότε ἡμῖν κατάσχεσιν ἐν μέσῳ ἀδελφῶν πατρὸς ἡμῶν (lxx) Num 27:4 Retulitque Moyses causam earum ad judicium Domini.(vulgate) Num 27:4 Warum soll denn unsers Vaters Name unter seinem Geschlecht untergehen, weil er keinen Sohn hat? Gebt uns auch ein Gut unter unsers Vaters Brüdern!(dhs) Num 27:4 Why should the name of our father be removed from among his family because he had no son? Give us a possession among our father's brothers."(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:5 ============ Num 27:5 So Moses brought their case before the Lord.(nasb) Num 27:5 καὶ προσήγαγεν Μωυσῆς τὴν κρίσιν αὐτῶν ἔναντι κυρίου (lxx) Num 27:5 Qui dixit ad eum:(vulgate) Num 27:5 Mose brachte ihre Sache vor den HERRN.(dhs) Num 27:5 So Moses brought their case before the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:6 ============ Num 27:6 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,(nasb) Num 27:6 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων (lxx) Num 27:6 Justam rem postulant filiæ Salphaad: da eis possessionem inter cognatos patris sui, et ei in hæreditatem succedant.(vulgate) Num 27:6 Und der HERR sprach zu ihm:(dhs) Num 27:6 And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:7 ============ Num 27:7 "The daughters of Zelophehad are right in their statements. You shall surely give them a hereditary possession among their father's brothers, and you shall transfer the inheritance of their father to them.(nasb) Num 27:7 ὀρθῶς θυγατέρες Σαλπααδ λελαλήκασιν δόμα δώσεις αὐταῖς κατάσχεσιν κληρονομίας ἐν μέσῳ ἀδελφῶν πατρὸς αὐτῶν καὶ περιθήσεις τὸν κλῆρον τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῶν αὐταῖς (lxx) Num 27:7 Ad filios autem Israël loqueris hæc:(vulgate) Num 27:7 Die Töchter Zelophehads haben recht geredet; du sollst ihnen ein Erbgut unter ihres Vaters Brüdern geben und sollst ihres Vaters Erbe ihnen zuwenden.(dhs) Num 27:7 "The daughters of Zelophehad speak what is right; you shall surely give them a possession of inheritance among their father's brothers, and cause the inheritance of their father to pass to them.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:8 ============ Num 27:8 Further, you shall speak to the sons of Israel, saying, 'If a man dies and has no son, then you shall transfer his inheritance to his daughter.(nasb) Num 27:8 καὶ τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ λαλήσεις λέγων ἄνθρωπος ἐὰν ἀποθάνῃ καὶ υἱὸς μὴ ᾖ αὐτῷ περιθήσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν αὐτοῦ τῇ θυγατρὶ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Num 27:8 Homo cum mortuus fuerit absque filio, ad filiam ejus transibit hæreditas.(vulgate) Num 27:8 Und sage den Kindern Israel: Wenn jemand stirbt und hat nicht Söhne, so sollt ihr sein Erbe seiner Tochter zuwenden.(dhs) Num 27:8 And you shall speak to the children of Israel, saying: 'If a man dies and has no son, then you shall cause his inheritance to pass to his daughter.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:9 ============ Num 27:9 If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers.(nasb) Num 27:9 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ᾖ θυγάτηρ αὐτῷ δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ ἀδελφῷ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Num 27:9 Si filiam non habuerit, habebit successores fratres suos.(vulgate) Num 27:9 Hat er keine Tochter, sollt ihr's seinen Brüdern geben.(dhs) Num 27:9 If he has no daughter, then you shall give his inheritance to his brothers.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:10 ============ Num 27:10 If he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father's brothers.(nasb) Num 27:10 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὦσιν αὐτῷ ἀδελφοί δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ ἀδελφῷ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ (lxx) Num 27:10 Quod si et fratres non fuerint, dabitis hæreditatem fratribus patris ejus.(vulgate) Num 27:10 Hat er keine Brüder, sollt ihr's seines Vaters Brüdern geben.(dhs) Num 27:10 If he has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his father's brothers.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:11 ============ Num 27:11 If his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to his nearest relative in his own family, and he shall possess it; and it shall be a statutory ordinance to the sons of Israel, just as the Lord commanded Moses.'"(nasb) Num 27:11 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ὦσιν ἀδελφοὶ τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ δώσετε τὴν κληρονομίαν τῷ οἰκείῳ τῷ ἔγγιστα αὐτοῦ ἐκ τῆς φυλῆς αὐτοῦ κληρονομήσει τὰ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσται τοῦτο τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ δικαίωμα κρίσεως καθὰ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ (lxx) Num 27:11 Sin autem nec patruos habuerit, dabitur hæreditas his qui ei proximi sunt. Eritque hoc filiis Israël sanctum lege perpetua, sicut præcepit Dominus Moysi.~(vulgate) Num 27:11 Hat er nicht Vatersbrüder, sollt ihr's seinen nächsten Blutsfreunden geben, die ihm angehören in seinem Geschlecht, daß sie es einnehmen. Das soll den Kindern Israel ein Gesetz und Recht sein, wie der HERR dem Mose geboten hat.(dhs) Num 27:11 And if his father has no brothers, then you shall give his inheritance to the relative closest him in his family, and he shall possess it.' " And it shall be to the children of Israel a statute of judgment, just as the Lord commanded Moses.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:12 ============ Num 27:12 Then the Lord said to Moses, "Go up to this mountain of Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the sons of Israel.(nasb) Num 27:12 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἀνάβηθι εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ ἐν τῷ πέραν τοῦτο ὄρος Ναβαυ καὶ ἰδὲ τὴν γῆν Χανααν ἣν ἐγὼ δίδωμι τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἐν κατασχέσει (lxx) Num 27:12 Dixit quoque Dominus ad Moysen: Ascende in montem istum Abarim, et contemplare inde terram, quam daturus sum filiis Israël.(vulgate) Num 27:12 Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Steig auf dies Gebirge Abarim und besiehe das Land, das ich den Kindern Israel gebe werde.(dhs) Num 27:12 Now the Lord said to Moses: "Go up into this Mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given to the children of Israel.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:13 ============ Num 27:13 When you have seen it, you too will be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was;(nasb) Num 27:13 καὶ ὄψει αὐτὴν καὶ προστεθήσῃ πρὸς τὸν λαόν σου καὶ σύ καθὰ προσετέθη Ααρων ὁ ἀδελφός σου ἐν Ωρ τῷ ὄρει (lxx) Num 27:13 Cumque videris eam, ibis et tu ad populum tuum, sicut ivit frater tuus Aaron:(vulgate) Num 27:13 Und wenn du es gesehen hast, sollst du dich sammeln zu deinem Volk, wie dein Bruder Aaron versammelt ist,(dhs) Num 27:13 And when you have seen it, you also shall be gathered to your people, as Aaron your brother was gathered.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:14 ============ Num 27:14 for in the wilderness of Zin, during the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against My command to treat Me as holy before their eyes at the water." (These are the waters of Meribah of Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.)(nasb) Num 27:14 διότι παρέβητε τὸ ῥῆμά μου ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σιν ἐν τῷ ἀντιπίπτειν τὴν συναγωγὴν ἁγιάσαι με οὐχ ἡγιάσατέ με ἐπὶ τῷ ὕδατι ἔναντι αὐτῶν τοῦτό ἐστιν ὕδωρ ἀντιλογίας Καδης ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ Σιν (lxx) Num 27:14 quia offendistis me in deserto Sin in contradictione multitudinis, nec sanctificare me voluistis coram ea super aquas. Hæ sunt aquæ contradictionis in Cades deserti Sin.(vulgate) Num 27:14 dieweil ihr meinem Wort ungehorsam gewesen seid in der Wüste Zin bei dem Hader der Gemeinde, da ihr mich heiligen solltet durch das Wasser vor ihnen. Das ist das Haderwasser zu Kades in der Wüste Zin.(dhs) Num 27:14 For in the Wilderness of Zin, during the strife of the congregation, you rebelled against My command to hallow Me at the waters before their eyes." (These are the waters of Meribah, at Kadesh in the Wilderness of Zin.)(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:15 ============ Num 27:15 Then Moses spoke to the Lord, saying,(nasb) Num 27:15 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς πρὸς κύριον (lxx) Num 27:15 Cui respondit Moyses:(vulgate) Num 27:15 Und Mose redete mit dem HERRN und sprach:(dhs) Num 27:15 Then Moses spoke to the Lord, saying:(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:16 ============ Num 27:16 "May the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, appoint a man over the congregation,(nasb) Num 27:16 ἐπισκεψάσθω κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πνευμάτων καὶ πάσης σαρκὸς ἄνθρωπον ἐπὶ τῆς συναγωγῆς ταύτης (lxx) Num 27:16 Provideat Dominus Deus spirituum omnis carnis hominem, qui sit super multitudinem hanc:(vulgate) Num 27:16 Der HERR, der Gott der Geister alles Fleisches, wolle einen Mann setzen über die Gemeinde,(dhs) Num 27:16 "Let the Lord, the God of the spirits of all flesh, set a man over the congregation,(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:17 ============ Num 27:17 who will go out and come in before them, and who will lead them out and bring them in, so that the congregation of the Lord will not be like sheep which have no shepherd."(nasb) Num 27:17 ὅστις ἐξελεύσεται πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν καὶ ὅστις εἰσελεύσεται πρὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν καὶ ὅστις ἐξάξει αὐτοὺς καὶ ὅστις εἰσάξει αὐτούς καὶ οὐκ ἔσται ἡ συναγωγὴ κυρίου ὡσεὶ πρόβατα οἷς οὐκ ἔστιν ποιμήν (lxx) Num 27:17 et possit exire et intrare ante eos, et educere eos vel introducere: ne sit populus Domini sicut oves absque pastore.(vulgate) Num 27:17 der vor ihnen her aus und ein gehe und sie aus und ein führe, daß die Gemeinde des HERRN nicht sei wie die Schafe ohne Hirten.(dhs) Num 27:17 who may go out before them and go in before them, who may lead them out and bring them in, that the congregation of the Lord may not be like sheep which have no shepherd."(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:18 ============ Num 27:18 So the Lord said to Moses, "Take Joshua the son of Nun, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;(nasb) Num 27:18 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λέγων λαβὲ πρὸς σεαυτὸν τὸν Ἰησοῦν υἱὸν Ναυη ἄνθρωπον ὃς ἔχει πνεῦμα ἐν ἑαυτῷ καὶ ἐπιθήσεις τὰς χεῖράς σου ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν (lxx) Num 27:18 Dixitque Dominus ad eum: Tolle Josue filium Nun, virum in quo est spiritus, et pone manum tuam super eum.(vulgate) Num 27:18 Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Nimm Josua zu dir, den Sohn Nuns, einen Mann, in dem der Geist ist, und lege deine Hände auf ihn(dhs) Num 27:18 And the Lord said to Moses: "Take Joshua the son of Nun with you, a man in whom is the Spirit, and lay your hand on him;(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:19 ============ Num 27:19 and have him stand before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation, and commission him in their sight.(nasb) Num 27:19 καὶ στήσεις αὐτὸν ἔναντι Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἐντελῇ αὐτῷ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς καὶ ἐντελῇ περὶ αὐτοῦ ἐναντίον αὐτῶν (lxx) Num 27:19 Qui stabit coram Eleazaro sacerdote et omni multitudine:(vulgate) Num 27:19 und stelle ihn vor den Priester Eleasar und vor die ganze Gemeinde und gebiete ihm vor ihren Augen,(dhs) Num 27:19 set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation, and inaugurate him in their sight.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:20 ============ Num 27:20 You shall put some of your authority on him, in order that all the congregation of the sons of Israel may obey him.(nasb) Num 27:20 καὶ δώσεις τῆς δόξης σου ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν ὅπως ἂν εἰσακούσωσιν αὐτοῦ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ (lxx) Num 27:20 et dabis ei præcepta cunctis videntibus, et partem gloriæ tuæ, ut audiat eum omnis synagoga filiorum Israël.(vulgate) Num 27:20 und lege von deiner Herrlichkeit auf ihn, daß ihm gehorche die ganze Gemeinde der Kinder Israel.(dhs) Num 27:20 And you shall give some of your authority to him, that all the congregation of the children of Israel may be obedient.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:21 ============ Num 27:21 Moreover, he shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire for him by the judgment of the Urim before the Lord. At his command they shall go out and at his command they shall come in, both he and the sons of Israel with him, even all the congregation."(nasb) Num 27:21 καὶ ἔναντι Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως στήσεται καὶ ἐπερωτήσουσιν αὐτὸν τὴν κρίσιν τῶν δήλων ἔναντι κυρίου ἐπὶ τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ ἐξελεύσονται καὶ ἐπὶ τῷ στόματι αὐτοῦ εἰσελεύσονται αὐτὸς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ ὁμοθυμαδὸν καὶ πᾶσα ἡ συναγωγή (lxx) Num 27:21 Pro hoc, si quid agendum erit, Eleazar sacerdos consulet Dominum. Ad verbum ejus egredietur et ingredietur ipse, et omnes filii Israël cum eo, et cetera multitudo.(vulgate) Num 27:21 Und er soll treten vor den Priester Eleasar, der soll für ihn ratfragen durch die Weise des Lichts vor dem HERRN. Nach desselben Mund sollen aus und einziehen er und alle Kinder Israel mit ihm und die ganze Gemeinde.(dhs) Num 27:21 He shall stand before Eleazar the priest, who shall inquire before the Lord for him by the judgment of the Urim. At his word they shall go out, and at his word they shall come in, he and all the children of Israel with him--all the congregation."(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:22 ============ Num 27:22 Moses did just as the Lord commanded him; and he took Joshua and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation.(nasb) Num 27:22 καὶ ἐποίησεν Μωυσῆς καθὰ ἐνετείλατο αὐτῷ κύριος καὶ λαβὼν τὸν Ἰησοῦν ἔστησεν αὐτὸν ἐναντίον Ελεαζαρ τοῦ ἱερέως καὶ ἔναντι πάσης συναγωγῆς (lxx) Num 27:22 Fecit Moyses ut præceperat Dominus: cumque tulisset Josue, statuit eum coram Eleazaro sacerdote et omni frequentia populi.(vulgate) Num 27:22 Mose tat, wie ihm der HERR geboten hatte, und nahm Josua und stellte ihn vor den Priester Eleasar und vor die ganze Gemeinde(dhs) Num 27:22 So Moses did as the Lord commanded him. He took Joshua and set him before Eleazar the priest and before all the congregation.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 27:23 ============ Num 27:23 Then he laid his hands on him and commissioned him, just as the Lord had spoken through Moses.(nasb) Num 27:23 καὶ ἐπέθηκεν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν καὶ συνέστησεν αὐτόν καθάπερ συνέταξεν κύριος τῷ Μωυσῇ (lxx) Num 27:23 Et impositis capiti ejus manibus, cuncta replicavit quæ mandaverat Dominus.(vulgate) Num 27:23 und legte seine Hand auf ihn und gebot ihm, wie der HERR mit Mose geredet hatte.(dhs) Num 27:23 And he laid his hands on him and inaugurated him, just as the Lord commanded by the hand of Moses.(nkjv) ======= Numbers 28:1 ============ top of the page
