Today's Date: ======= Deuteronomy 24:1 ============ Deu 24:1 "When a man takes a wife and marries her, and it happens that she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some indecency in her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out from his house,(nasb) Deu 24:1 ἐὰν δέ τις λάβῃ γυναῖκα καὶ συνοικήσῃ αὐτῇ καὶ ἔσται ἐὰν μὴ εὕρῃ χάριν ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ ὅτι εὗρεν ἐν αὐτῇ ἄσχημον πρᾶγμα καὶ γράψει αὐτῇ βιβλίον ἀποστασίου καὶ δώσει εἰς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῆς καὶ ἐξαποστελεῖ αὐτὴν ἐκ τῆς οἰκίας αὐτοῦ (lxx) Deu 24:1 Si acceperit homo uxorem, et habuerit eam, et non invenerit gratiam ante oculos ejus propter aliquam fœditatem: scribet libellum repudii, et dabit in manu illius, et dimittet eam de domo sua.(vulgate) Deu 24:1 Wenn jemand ein Weib nimmt und ehelicht sie, und sie nicht Gnade findet vor seinen Augen, weil er etwas schändliches an ihr gefunden hat, so soll er einen Scheidebrief schreiben und ihr in die Hand geben und sie aus seinem Haus entlassen.(dhs) Deu 24:1 "When a man takes a wife and marries her, and it happens that she finds no favor in his eyes because he has found some uncleanness in her, and he writes her a certificate of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house,(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 24:2 ============ Deu 24:2 and she leaves his house and goes and becomes another man's wife,(nasb) Deu 24:2 καὶ ἀπελθοῦσα γένηται ἀνδρὶ ἑτέρῳ (lxx) Deu 24:2 Cumque egressa alterum maritum duxerit,(vulgate) Deu 24:2 Wenn sie dann aus seinem Hause gegangen ist und hingeht und wird eines andern Weib,(dhs) Deu 24:2 when she has departed from his house, and goes and becomes another man's wife,(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 24:3 ============ Deu 24:3 and if the latter husband turns against her and writes her a certificate of divorce and puts it in her hand and sends her out of his house, or if the latter husband dies who took her to be his wife,(nasb) Deu 24:3 καὶ μισήσῃ αὐτὴν ὁ ἀνὴρ ὁ ἔσχατος καὶ γράψει αὐτῇ βιβλίον ἀποστασίου καὶ δώσει εἰς τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῆς καὶ ἐξαποστελεῖ αὐτὴν ἐκ τῆς οἰκίας αὐτοῦ ἢ ἀποθάνῃ ὁ ἀνὴρ ὁ ἔσχατος ὃς ἔλαβεν αὐτὴν ἑαυτῷ γυναῖκα (lxx) Deu 24:3 et ille quoque oderit eam, dederitque ei libellum repudii, et dimiserit de domo sua, vel certe mortuus fuerit:(vulgate) Deu 24:3 und der andere ihr auch gram wird und einen Scheidebrief schreibt und ihr in die Hand gibt und sie aus seinem Hause läßt, oder so der andere Mann stirbt, der sie zum Weibe genommen hatte:(dhs) Deu 24:3 if the latter husband detests her and writes her a certificate of divorce, puts it in her hand, and sends her out of his house, or if the latter husband dies who took her as his wife,(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 24:4 ============ Deu 24:4 then her former husband who sent her away is not allowed to take her again to be his wife, since she has been defiled; for that is an abomination before the Lord, and you shall not bring sin on the land which the Lord your God gives you as an inheritance.(nasb) Deu 24:4 οὐ δυνήσεται ὁ ἀνὴρ ὁ πρότερος ὁ ἐξαποστείλας αὐτὴν ἐπαναστρέψας λαβεῖν αὐτὴν ἑαυτῷ γυναῖκα μετὰ τὸ μιανθῆναι αὐτήν ὅτι βδέλυγμά ἐστιν ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου καὶ οὐ μιανεῖτε τὴν γῆν ἣν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν δίδωσιν ὑμῖν ἐν κλήρῳ (lxx) Deu 24:4 non poterit prior maritus recipere eam in uxorem: quia polluta est, et abominabilis facta est coram Domino: ne peccare facias terram tuam, quam Dominus Deus tuus tradiderit tibi possidendam.~(vulgate) Deu 24:4 so kann sie ihr erster Mann, der sie entließ, nicht wiederum nehmen, daß sie sein Weib sei, nachdem sie unrein ist, den solches ist ein Greuel vor dem HERRN, auf daß du nicht eine Sünde über das Land bringst, das dir der HERR, dein Gott, zum Erbe gegeben hat.(dhs) Deu 24:4 then her former husband who divorced her must not take her back to be his wife after she has been defiled; for that is an abomination before the Lord, and you shall not bring sin on the land which the Lord your God is giving you as an inheritance.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 24:5 ============ Deu 24:5 "When a man takes a new wife, he shall not go out with the army nor be charged with any duty; he shall be free at home one year and shall give happiness to his wife whom he has taken.(nasb) Deu 24:5 ἐὰν δέ τις λάβῃ γυναῖκα προσφάτως οὐκ ἐξελεύσεται εἰς τὸν πόλεμον καὶ οὐκ ἐπιβληθήσεται αὐτῷ οὐδὲν πρᾶγμα ἀθῷος ἔσται ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ αὐτοῦ ἐνιαυτὸν ἕνα εὐφρανεῖ τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ ἣν ἔλαβεν (lxx) Deu 24:5 Cum acceperit homo nuper uxorem, non procedet ad bellum, nec ei quippiam necessitatis injungetur publicæ, sed vacabit absque culpa domi suæ, ut uno anno lætetur cum uxore sua.(vulgate) Deu 24:5 Wenn jemand kurz zuvor ein Weib genommen hat, der soll nicht in die Heerfahrt ziehen, und man soll ihm nichts auflegen. Er soll frei in seinem Hause sein ein Jahr lang, daß er fröhlich sei mit seinem Weibe, das er genommen hat.(dhs) Deu 24:5 "When a man has taken a new wife, he shall not go out to war or be charged with any business; he shall be free at home one year, and bring happiness to his wife whom he has taken.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 24:6 ============ Deu 24:6 "No one shall take a handmill or an upper millstone in pledge, for he would be taking a life in pledge.(nasb) Deu 24:6 οὐκ ἐνεχυράσεις μύλον οὐδὲ ἐπιμύλιον ὅτι ψυχὴν οὗτος ἐνεχυράζει (lxx) Deu 24:6 Non accipies loco pignoris inferiorem, et superiorem molam: quia animam suam opposuit tibi.(vulgate) Deu 24:6 Du sollst nicht zum Pfande nehmen den unteren und den oberen Mühlstein; denn damit hättest du das Leben zum Pfand genommen.(dhs) Deu 24:6 "No man shall take the lower or the upper millstone in pledge, for he takes one's living in pledge.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 24:7 ============ Deu 24:7 "If a man is caught kidnapping any of his countrymen of the sons of Israel, and he deals with him violently or sells him, then that thief shall die; so you shall purge the evil from among you.(nasb) Deu 24:7 ἐὰν δὲ ἁλῷ ἄνθρωπος κλέπτων ψυχὴν τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτοῦ τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καὶ καταδυναστεύσας αὐτὸν ἀποδῶται ἀποθανεῖται ὁ κλέπτης ἐκεῖνος καὶ ἐξαρεῖς τὸν πονηρὸν ἐξ ὑμῶν αὐτῶν (lxx) Deu 24:7 Si deprehensus fuerit homo sollicitans fratrem suum de filiis Israël, et vendito eo acceperit pretium, interficietur, et auferes malum de medio tui.(vulgate) Deu 24:7 Wenn jemand gefunden wird, der aus seinen Brüdern, aus den Kindern Israel, eine Seele stiehlt, und versetzt oder verkauft sie: solcher Dieb soll sterben, daß du das Böse von dir tust.(dhs) Deu 24:7 "If a man is found kidnapping any of his brethren of the children of Israel, and mistreats him or sells him, then that kidnapper shall die; and you shall put away the evil from among you.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 24:8 ============ Deu 24:8 "Be careful against an infection of leprosy, that you diligently observe and do according to all that the Levitical priests teach you; as I have commanded them, so you shall be careful to do.(nasb) Deu 24:8 πρόσεχε σεαυτῷ ἐν τῇ ἁφῇ τῆς λέπρας φυλάξῃ σφόδρα ποιεῖν κατὰ πάντα τὸν νόμον ὃν ἐὰν ἀναγγείλωσιν ὑμῖν οἱ ἱερεῖς οἱ Λευῖται ὃν τρόπον ἐνετειλάμην ὑμῖν φυλάξασθε ποιεῖν (lxx) Deu 24:8 Observa diligenter ne incurras plagam lepræ, sed facies quæcumque docuerint te sacerdotes Levitici generis, juxta id quod præcepi eis, et imple sollicite.(vulgate) Deu 24:8 Hüte dich bei der Plage des Aussatzes, daß du mit Fleiß haltest und tust alles, was dich die Priester, die Leviten, lehren; wie ich ihnen geboten habe, so sollt ihr's halten und darnach tun.(dhs) Deu 24:8 "Take heed in an outbreak of leprosy, that you carefully observe and do according to all that the priests, the Levites, shall teach you; just as I commanded them, so you shall be careful to do.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 24:9 ============ Deu 24:9 Remember what the Lord your God did to Miriam on the way as you came out of Egypt.(nasb) Deu 24:9 μνήσθητι ὅσα ἐποίησεν κύριος ὁ θεός σου τῇ Μαριαμ ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἐκπορευομένων ὑμῶν ἐξ Αἰγύπτου (lxx) Deu 24:9 Mementote quæ fecerit Dominus Deus vester Mariæ in via cum egrederemini de Ægypto.(vulgate) Deu 24:9 Bedenke, was der HERR, dein Gott, tat mit Mirjam auf dem Wege, da ihr aus Ägypten zoget.(dhs) Deu 24:9 Remember what the Lord your God did to Miriam on the way when you came out of Egypt.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 24:10 ============ Deu 24:10 "When you make your neighbor a loan of any sort, you shall not enter his house to take his pledge.(nasb) Deu 24:10 ἐὰν ὀφείλημα ᾖ ἐν τῷ πλησίον σου ὀφείλημα ὁτιοῦν οὐκ εἰσελεύσῃ εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν αὐτοῦ ἐνεχυράσαι τὸ ἐνέχυρον (lxx) Deu 24:10 Cum repetes a proximo tuo rem aliquam, quam debet tibi, non ingredieris domum ejus ut pignus auferas:(vulgate) Deu 24:10 Wenn du deinem Nächsten irgend eine Schuld borgst, so sollst du nicht in sein Haus gehen und ihm ein Pfand nehmen,(dhs) Deu 24:10 "When you lend your brother anything, you shall not go into his house to get his pledge.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 24:11 ============ Deu 24:11 You shall remain outside, and the man to whom you make the loan shall bring the pledge out to you.(nasb) Deu 24:11 ἔξω στήσῃ καὶ ὁ ἄνθρωπος οὗ τὸ δάνειόν σού ἐστιν ἐν αὐτῷ ἐξοίσει σοι τὸ ἐνέχυρον ἔξω (lxx) Deu 24:11 sed stabis foris, et ille tibi proferet quod habuerit.(vulgate) Deu 24:11 sondern du sollst außen stehen, und er, dem du borgst, soll sein Pfand zu dir herausbringen.(dhs) Deu 24:11 You shall stand outside, and the man to whom you lend shall bring the pledge out to you.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 24:12 ============ Deu 24:12 If he is a poor man, you shall not sleep with his pledge.(nasb) Deu 24:12 ἐὰν δὲ ὁ ἄνθρωπος πένηται οὐ κοιμηθήσῃ ἐν τῷ ἐνεχύρῳ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Deu 24:12 Sin autem pauper est, non pernoctabit apud te pignus,(vulgate) Deu 24:12 Ist er aber ein Dürftiger, so sollst du dich nicht schlafen legen über seinem Pfand,(dhs) Deu 24:12 And if the man is poor, you shall not keep his pledge overnight.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 24:13 ============ Deu 24:13 When the sun goes down you shall surely return the pledge to him, that he may sleep in his cloak and bless you; and it will be righteousness for you before the Lord your God.(nasb) Deu 24:13 ἀποδόσει ἀποδώσεις τὸ ἐνέχυρον αὐτοῦ περὶ δυσμὰς ἡλίου καὶ κοιμηθήσεται ἐν τῷ ἱματίῳ αὐτοῦ καὶ εὐλογήσει σε καὶ ἔσται σοι ἐλεημοσύνη ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ σου (lxx) Deu 24:13 sed statim reddes ei ante solis occasum: ut dormiens in vestimento suo, benedicat tibi, et habeas justitiam coram Domino Deo tuo.(vulgate) Deu 24:13 sondern sollst ihm sein Pfand wiedergeben, wenn die Sonne untergeht, daß er in seinem Kleide schlafe und segne dich.
