Now Eli the priest was sitting on the seat by the doorpost of the temple of the Lord.(nasb) 1Sa 1:9 καὶ ἀνέστη Αννα μετὰ τὸ φαγεῖν αὐτοὺς ἐν Σηλω καὶ κατέστη ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ Ηλι ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐκάθητο ἐπὶ τοῦ δίφρου ἐπὶ τῶν φλιῶν ναοῦ κυρίου (lxx) 1Sa 1:9 Surrexit autem Anna postquam comederat et biberat in Silo. Now Eli the priest was sitting on the seat by the doorpost of the tabernacle of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 1:10 ============ 1Sa 1:10 She, greatly distressed, prayed to the Lord and wept bitterly.(nasb) 1Sa 1:10 καὶ αὐτὴ κατώδυνος ψυχῇ καὶ προσηύξατο πρὸς κύριον καὶ κλαίουσα ἔκλαυσεν (lxx) 1Sa 1:10 cum esset Anna amaro animo, oravit ad Dominum, flens largiter,(vulgate) 1Sa 1:10 Und sie war von Herzen betrübt und betete zum HERRN und weinte sehr(dhs) 1Sa 1:10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed to the Lord and wept in anguish.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 1:11 ============ 1Sa 1:11 She made a vow and said, "O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a son, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and a razor shall never come on his head."(nasb) 1Sa 1:11 καὶ ηὔξατο εὐχὴν κυρίῳ λέγουσα Αδωναι κύριε ελωαι σαβαωθ ἐὰν ἐπιβλέπων ἐπιβλέψῃς ἐπὶ τὴν ταπείνωσιν τῆς δούλης σου καὶ μνησθῇς μου καὶ δῷς τῇ δούλῃ σου σπέρμα ἀνδρῶν καὶ δώσω αὐτὸν ἐνώπιόν σου δοτὸν ἕως ἡμέρας θανάτου αὐτοῦ καὶ οἶνον καὶ μέθυσμα οὐ πίεται καὶ σίδηρος οὐκ ἀναβήσεται ἐπὶ τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτοῦ (lxx) 1Sa 1:11 et votum vovit, dicens: Domine exercituum, si respiciens videris afflictionem famulæ tuæ, et recordatus mei fueris, nec oblitus ancillæ tuæ, dederisque servæ tuæ sexum virilem: dabo eum Domino omnibus diebus vitæ ejus, et novacula non ascendet super caput ejus.~(vulgate) 1Sa 1:11 und gelobte ein Gelübde und sprach: HERR Zebaoth, wirst du deiner Magd Elend ansehen und an mich gedenken und deiner Magd nicht vergessen und wirst deiner Magd einen Sohn geben, so will ich ihn dem HERRN geben sein Leben lang und soll kein Schermesser auf sein Haupt kommen.(dhs) 1Sa 1:11 Then she made a vow and said, "O Lord of hosts, if You will indeed look on the affliction of Your maidservant and remember me, and not forget Your maidservant, but will give Your maidservant a male child, then I will give him to the Lord all the days of his life, and no razor shall come upon his head."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 1:12 ============ 1Sa 1:12 Now it came about, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli was watching her mouth.(nasb) 1Sa 1:12 καὶ ἐγενήθη ὅτε ἐπλήθυνεν προσευχομένη ἐνώπιον κυρίου καὶ Ηλι ὁ ἱερεὺς ἐφύλαξεν τὸ στόμα αὐτῆς (lxx) 1Sa 1:12 Factum est autem, cum illa multiplicaret preces coram Domino, ut Heli observaret os ejus.(vulgate) 1Sa 1:12 Und da sie lange betete vor dem HERRN, hatte Eli acht auf ihren Mund.(dhs) 1Sa 1:12 And it happened, as she continued praying before the Lord, that Eli watched her mouth.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 1:13 ============ 1Sa 1:13 As for Hannah, she was speaking in her heart, only her lips were moving, but her voice was not heard. So Eli thought she was drunk.(nasb) 1Sa 1:13 καὶ αὐτὴ ἐλάλει ἐν τῇ καρδίᾳ αὐτῆς καὶ τὰ χείλη αὐτῆς ἐκινεῖτο καὶ φωνὴ αὐτῆς οὐκ ἠκούετο καὶ ἐλογίσατο αὐτὴν Ηλι εἰς μεθύουσαν (lxx) 1Sa 1:13 Porro Anna loquebatur in corde suo, tantumque labia illius movebantur, et vox penitus non audiebatur. Æstimavit ergo eam Heli temulentam,(vulgate) 1Sa 1:13 Denn Hanna redete in ihrem Herzen; allein ihre Lippen regten sich, und ihre Stimme hörte man nicht. Da meinte Eli, sie wäre trunken,(dhs) 1Sa 1:13 Now Hannah spoke in her heart; only her lips moved, but her voice was not heard. Put your wine away from you!"(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 1:15 ============ 1Sa 1:15 But Hannah replied, "No, my lord, I am a woman oppressed in spirit; I have drunk neither wine nor strong drink, but I have poured out my soul before the Lord.(nasb) 1Sa 1:15 καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Αννα καὶ εἶπεν οὐχί κύριε γυνή ᾗ σκληρὰ ἡμέρα ἐγώ εἰμι καὶ οἶνον καὶ μέθυσμα οὐ πέπωκα καὶ ἐκχέω τὴν ψυχήν μου ἐνώπιον κυρίου (lxx) 1Sa 1:15 Respondens Anna: Nequaquam, inquit, domine mi: nam mulier infelix nimis ego sum: vinumque et omne quod inebriare potest, non bibi, sed effudi animam meam in conspectu Domini.(vulgate) 1Sa 1:15 Hanna aber antwortete und sprach: Nein, mein Herr, ich bin ein betrübtes Weib. So the woman went her way and ate, and her face was no longer sad.(nasb) 1Sa 1:18 καὶ εἶπεν εὗρεν ἡ δούλη σου χάριν ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς σου καὶ ἐπορεύθη ἡ γυνὴ εἰς τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτῆς καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸ κατάλυμα αὐτῆς καὶ ἔφαγεν μετὰ τοῦ ἀνδρὸς αὐτῆς καὶ ἔπιεν καὶ τὸ πρόσωπον αὐτῆς οὐ συνέπεσεν ἔτι (lxx) 1Sa 1:18 Et illa dixit: Utinam inveniat ancilla tua gratiam in oculis tuis. Et abiit mulier in viam suam, et comedit, vultusque illius non sunt amplius in diversa mutati.(vulgate) 1Sa 1:18 Sie sprach: Laß deine Magd Gnade finden vor deinen Augen. And Elkanah had relations with Hannah his wife, and the Lord remembered her.(nasb) 1Sa 1:19 καὶ ὀρθρίζουσιν τὸ πρωὶ καὶ προσκυνοῦσιν τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ πορεύονται τὴν ὁδὸν αὐτῶν καὶ εἰσῆλθεν Ελκανα εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ Αρμαθαιμ καὶ ἔγνω τὴν Ανναν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐμνήσθη αὐτῆς κύριος (lxx) 1Sa 1:19 Et surrexerunt mane, et adoraverunt coram Domino: reversique sunt, et venerunt in domum suam Ramatha.~ Cognovit autem Elcana Annam uxorem suam: et recordatus est ejus Dominus.(vulgate) 1Sa 1:19 Und des Morgens früh machten sie sich auf; und da sie angebetet hatten vor dem HERRN, kehrten sie wieder um und kamen heim gen Rama. Remain until you have weaned him; only may the Lord confirm His word." So the woman remained and nursed her son until she weaned him.(nasb) 1Sa 1:23 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῇ Ελκανα ὁ ἀνὴρ αὐτῆς ποίει τὸ ἀγαθὸν ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς σου κάθου ἕως ἂν ἀπογαλακτίσῃς αὐτό ἀλλὰ στήσαι κύριος τὸ ἐξελθὸν ἐκ τοῦ στόματός σου καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἡ γυνὴ καὶ ἐθήλασεν τὸν υἱὸν αὐτῆς ἕως ἂν ἀπογαλακτίσῃ αὐτόν (lxx) 1Sa 1:23 Et ait ei Elcana vir suus: Fac quod bonum tibi videtur, et mane donec ablactes eum: precorque ut impleat Dominus verbum suum. Only let the Lord establish His word." So the woman stayed and nursed her son until she had weaned him.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 1:24 ============ 1Sa 1:24 Now when she had weaned him, she took him up with her, with a three-year-old bull and one ephah of flour and a jug of wine, and brought him to the house of the Lord in Shiloh, although the child was young.(nasb) 1Sa 1:24 καὶ ἀνέβη μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ εἰς Σηλωμ ἐν μόσχῳ τριετίζοντι καὶ ἄρτοις καὶ οιφι σεμιδάλεως καὶ νεβελ οἴνου καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς οἶκον κυρίου ἐν Σηλωμ καὶ τὸ παιδάριον μετ᾽ αὐτῶν (lxx) 1Sa 1:24 Et adduxit eum secum, postquam ablactaverat, in vitulis tribus, et tribus modiis farinæ, et amphora vini, et adduxit eum ad domum Domini in Silo. Puer autem erat adhuc infantulus:(vulgate) 1Sa 1:24 und brachte ihn mit sich hinauf, nachdem sie ihn entwöhnt hatte, mit drei Farren, mit einem Epha Mehl und einem Krug Wein; und brachte ihn in das Haus des HERRN zu Silo. And he worshiped the Lord there.(nasb) 1Sa 1:28 κἀγὼ κιχρῶ αὐτὸν τῷ κυρίῳ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας ἃς ζῇ αὐτός χρῆσιν τῷ κυρίῳ (lxx) 1Sa 1:28 Idcirco et ego commodavi eum Domino cunctis diebus quibus fuerit commodatus Domino. Et adoraverunt ibi Dominum.~ Et oravit Anna, et ait:(vulgate) 1Sa 1:28 Darum gebe ich ihm dem HERRN wieder sein Leben lang, weil er vom HERRN erbeten ist. Und sie beteten daselbst den HERRN an.(dhs) 1Sa 1:28 Therefore I also have lent him to the Lord; as long as he lives he shall be lent to the Lord."
