Today's Date: ======= Hosea 9:1 ============ Hos 9:1 Do not rejoice, O Israel, with exultation like the nations! For you have played the harlot, forsaking your God. You have loved harlots' earnings on every threshing floor.(nasb) Hos 9:1 μὴ χαῖρε Ισραηλ μηδὲ εὐφραίνου καθὼς οἱ λαοί διότι ἐπόρνευσας ἀπὸ τοῦ θεοῦ σου ἠγάπησας δόματα ἐπὶ πάντα ἅλωνα σίτου (lxx) Hos 9:1 [Noli lætari, Israël; noli exsultare sicut populi: quia fornicatus es a Deo tuo; dilexisti mercedem super omnes areas tritici.(vulgate) Hos 9:1 Du darfst dich nicht freuen, Israel, noch rühmen wie die Völker; denn du hurst wider deinen Gott und suchst damit Hurenlohn, daß alle Tennen voll Getreide werden.(dhs) Hos 9:1 Do not rejoice, O Israel, with joy like other peoples, For you have played the harlot against your God. You have made love for hire on every threshing floor.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:2 ============ Hos 9:2 Threshing floor and wine press will not feed them, And the new wine will fail them.(nasb) Hos 9:2 ἅλων καὶ ληνὸς οὐκ ἔγνω αὐτούς καὶ ὁ οἶνος ἐψεύσατο αὐτούς (lxx) Hos 9:2 Area et torcular non pascet eos, et vinum mentietur eis:(vulgate) Hos 9:2 Darum sollen dich Tenne und Kelter nicht nähren, und der Most soll dir fehlen.(dhs) Hos 9:2 The threshing floor and the winepress Shall not feed them, And the new wine shall fail in her.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:3 ============ Hos 9:3 They will not remain in the Lord's land, But Ephraim will return to Egypt, And in Assyria they will eat unclean food.(nasb) Hos 9:3 οὐ κατῴκησαν ἐν τῇ γῇ τοῦ κυρίου κατῴκησεν Εφραιμ εἰς Αἴγυπτον καὶ ἐν Ἀσσυρίοις ἀκάθαρτα φάγονται (lxx) Hos 9:3 non habitabunt in terra Domini. Reversus est Ephraim in Ægyptum, et in Assyriis pollutum comedit.(vulgate) Hos 9:3 Sie sollen nicht bleiben im Lande des HERRN, sondern Ephraim muß wieder nach Ägypten und muß in Assyrien Unreines essen,(dhs) Hos 9:3 They shall not dwell in the Lord's land, But Ephraim shall return to Egypt, And shall eat unclean things in Assyria.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:4 ============ Hos 9:4 They will not pour out drink offerings of wine to the Lord, Their sacrifices will not please Him. Their bread will be like mourners' bread; All who eat of it will be defiled, For their bread will be for themselves alone; It will not enter the house of the Lord.(nasb) Hos 9:4 οὐκ ἔσπεισαν τῷ κυρίῳ οἶνον καὶ οὐχ ἥδυναν αὐτῷ αἱ θυσίαι αὐτῶν ὡς ἄρτος πένθους αὐτοῖς πάντες οἱ ἔσθοντες αὐτὰ μιανθήσονται διότι οἱ ἄρτοι αὐτῶν ταῖς ψυχαῖς αὐτῶν οὐκ εἰσελεύσονται εἰς τὸν οἶκον κυρίου (lxx) Hos 9:4 Non libabunt Domino vinum, et non placebunt ei. Sacrificia eorum quasi panis lugentium; omnes qui comedent eum, contaminabuntur: quia panis eorum animæ ipsorum: non intrabit in domum Domini.(vulgate) Hos 9:4 wo sie dem HERRN kein Trankopfer vom Wein noch etwas zu Gefallen tun können. Ihr Opfer soll sein wie der Betrübten Brot, an welchem unrein werden alle, die davon essen; denn ihr Brot müssen sie für sich selbst essen, und es soll nicht in des HERRN Haus gebracht werden.(dhs) Hos 9:4 They shall not offer wine offerings to the Lord, Nor shall their sacrifices be pleasing to Him. It shall be like bread of mourners to them; All who eat it shall be defiled. For their bread shall be for their own life; It shall not come into the house of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:5 ============ Hos 9:5 What will you do on the day of the appointed festival And on the day of the feast of the Lord?(nasb) Hos 9:5 τί ποιήσετε ἐν ἡμέρᾳ πανηγύρεως καὶ ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ἑορτῆς τοῦ κυρίου (lxx) Hos 9:5 Quid facietis in die solemni, in die festivitatis Domini?(vulgate) Hos 9:5 Was wollt ihr alsdann an den Jahrfesten und an den Feiertagen des HERRN tun?(dhs) Hos 9:5 What will you do in the appointed day, And in the day of the feast of the Lord?(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:6 ============ Hos 9:6 For behold, they will go because of destruction; Egypt will gather them up, Memphis will bury them. Weeds will take over their treasures of silver; Thorns will be in their tents.(nasb) Hos 9:6 διὰ τοῦτο ἰδοὺ πορεύσονται ἐκ ταλαιπωρίας Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐκδέξεται αὐτοὺς Μέμφις καὶ θάψει αὐτοὺς Μαχμας τὸ ἀργύριον αὐτῶν ὄλεθρος κληρονομήσει ἄκανθαι ἐν τοῖς σκηνώμασιν αὐτῶν (lxx) Hos 9:6 Ecce enim profecti sunt a vastitate: Ægyptus congregabit eos; Memphis sepeliet eos: desiderabile argentum eorum urtica hæreditabit, lappa in tabernaculis eorum.(vulgate) Hos 9:6 Siehe, sie müssen weg vor dem Verstörer. Ägypten wird sie sammeln, und Moph wird sie begraben. Nesseln werden wachsen, da jetzt ihr liebes Götzensilber steht, und Dornen in ihren Hütten.(dhs) Hos 9:6 For indeed they are gone because of destruction. Nettles shall possess their valuables of silver; Thorns shall be in their tents.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:7 ============ Hos 9:7 The days of punishment have come, The days of retribution have come; Let Israel know this! The prophet is a fool, The inspired man is demented, Because of the grossness of your iniquity, And because your hostility is so great.(nasb) Hos 9:7 ἥκασιν αἱ ἡμέραι τῆς ἐκδικήσεως ἥκασιν αἱ ἡμέραι τῆς ἀνταποδόσεώς σου καὶ κακωθήσεται Ισραηλ ὥσπερ ὁ προφήτης ὁ παρεξεστηκώς ἄνθρωπος ὁ πνευματοφόρος ὑπὸ τοῦ πλήθους τῶν ἀδικιῶν σου ἐπληθύνθη μανία σου (lxx) Hos 9:7 Venerunt dies visitationis, venerunt dies retributionis. Scitote, Israël, stultum prophetam, insanum virum spiritualem, propter multitudinem iniquitatis tuæ, et multitudinem amentiæ.(vulgate) Hos 9:7 Die Zeit der Heimsuchung ist gekommen, die Zeit der Vergeltung; des wird Israel innewerden. Die Propheten sind Narren, und die Rottengeister sind wahnsinnig um deiner großen Missetat und um der großen feindseligen Abgötterei willen.(dhs) Hos 9:7 The days of punishment have come; The days of recompense have come. Israel knows! The prophet is a fool, The spiritual man is insane, Because of the greatness of your iniquity and great enmity.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:8 ============ Hos 9:8 Ephraim was a watchman with my God, a prophet; Yet the snare of a bird catcher is in all his ways, And there is only hostility in the house of his God.(nasb) Hos 9:8 σκοπὸς Εφραιμ μετὰ θεοῦ προφήτης παγὶς σκολιὰ ἐπὶ πάσας τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτοῦ μανίαν ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου κατέπηξαν (lxx) Hos 9:8 Speculator Ephraim cum Deo meo, propheta laqueus ruinæ factus est super omnes vias ejus; insania in domo Dei ejus.(vulgate) Hos 9:8 Die Wächter in Ephraim hielten sich vormals an meinen Gott; aber nun sind sie Propheten, die Stricke legen auf allen ihren Wegen durch die feindselige Abgötterei im Hause ihres Gottes.(dhs) Hos 9:8 The watchman of Ephraim is with my God; But the prophet is a fowler's snare in all his ways-- Enmity in the house of his God.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:9 ============ Hos 9:9 They have gone deep in depravity As in the days of Gibeah; He will remember their iniquity, He will punish their sins.(nasb) Hos 9:9 ἐφθάρησαν κατὰ τὰς ἡμέρας τοῦ βουνοῦ μνησθήσεται ἀδικίας αὐτοῦ ἐκδικήσει ἁμαρτίας αὐτοῦ (lxx) Hos 9:9 Profunde peccaverunt, sicut in diebus Gabaa. Recordabitur iniquitatis eorum, et visitabit peccata eorum.(vulgate) Hos 9:9 Sie verderben's zu tief wie zur Zeit Gibeas; darum wird er ihrer Missetat gedenken und ihre Sünden heimsuchen.(dhs) Hos 9:9 They are deeply corrupted, As in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity; He will punish their sins.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:10 ============ Hos 9:10 I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your forefathers as the earliest fruit on the fig tree in its first season. But they came to Baal-peor and devoted themselves to shame, And they became as detestable as that which they loved.(nasb) Hos 9:10 ὡς σταφυλὴν ἐν ἐρήμῳ εὗρον τὸν Ισραηλ καὶ ὡς σκοπὸν ἐν συκῇ πρόιμον εἶδον πατέρας αὐτῶν αὐτοὶ εἰσῆλθον πρὸς τὸν Βεελφεγωρ καὶ ἀπηλλοτριώθησαν εἰς αἰσχύνην καὶ ἐγένοντο οἱ ἠγαπημένοι ὡς οἱ ἐβδελυγμένοι (lxx) Hos 9:10 Quasi uvas in deserto inveni Israël, quasi prima poma ficulneæ in cacumine ejus vidi patres eorum: ipsi autem intraverunt ad Beelphegor, et abalienati sunt in confusionem, et facti sunt abominabiles sicut ea quæ dilexerunt.(vulgate) Hos 9:10 Ich fand Israel in der Wüste wie Trauben und sah eure Väter wie die ersten Feigen am Feigenbaum; aber hernach gingen sie zu Baal-Peor und gelobten sich dem schändlichen Abgott und wurden ja so greulich wie ihre Buhlen.(dhs) Hos 9:10 "I found Israel Like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers As the firstfruits on the fig tree in its first season. But they went to Baal Peor, And separated themselves to that shame; They became an abomination like the thing they loved.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:11 ============ Hos 9:11 As for Ephraim, their glory will fly away like a bird-- No birth, no pregnancy and no conception!(nasb) Hos 9:11 Εφραιμ ὡς ὄρνεον ἐξεπετάσθη αἱ δόξαι αὐτῶν ἐκ τόκων καὶ ὠδίνων καὶ συλλήμψεων (lxx) Hos 9:11 Ephraim quasi avis avolavit; gloria eorum a partu, et ab utero, et a conceptu.(vulgate) Hos 9:11 Darum muß die Herrlichkeit Ephraims wie ein Vogel wegfliegen, daß sie weder gebären noch tragen noch schwanger werden sollen.(dhs) Hos 9:11 As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird-- No birth, no pregnancy, and no conception!(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:12 ============ Hos 9:12 Though they bring up their children, Yet I will bereave them until not a man is left. Yes, woe to them indeed when I depart from them!(nasb) Hos 9:12 διότι καὶ ἐὰν ἐκθρέψωσιν τὰ τέκνα αὐτῶν ἀτεκνωθήσονται ἐξ ἀνθρώπων διότι καὶ οὐαὶ αὐτοῖς ἐστιν σάρξ μου ἐξ αὐτῶν (lxx) Hos 9:12 Quod etsi enutrierint filios suos, absque liberis eos faciam in hominibus; sed et væ eis cum recessero ab eis!(vulgate) Hos 9:12 Und ob sie ihre Kinder gleich erzögen, will ich sie doch ohne Kinder machen, daß keine Leute mehr sein sollen. Auch weh ihnen, wenn ich von ihnen gewichen bin!(dhs) Hos 9:12 Though they bring up their children, Yet I will bereave them to the last man. Yes, woe to them when I depart from them!(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:13 ============ Hos 9:13 Ephraim, as I have seen, Is planted in a pleasant meadow like Tyre; But Ephraim will bring out his children for slaughter.(nasb) Hos 9:13 Εφραιμ ὃν τρόπον εἶδον εἰς θήραν παρέστησαν τὰ τέκνα αὐτῶν καὶ Εφραιμ τοῦ ἐξαγαγεῖν εἰς ἀποκέντησιν τὰ τέκνα αὐτοῦ (lxx) Hos 9:13 Ephraim, ut vidi, Tyrus erat fundata in pulchritudine; et Ephraim educet ad interfectorem filios suos.(vulgate) Hos 9:13 Ephraim, wie ich es ansehe, ist gepflanzt und hübsch wie Tyrus, muß aber nun seine Kinder herauslassen dem Totschläger.(dhs) Hos 9:13 Just as I saw Ephraim like Tyre, planted in a pleasant place, So Ephraim will bring out his children to the murderer."(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:14 ============ Hos 9:14 Give them, O Lord--what will You give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.(nasb) Hos 9:14 δὸς αὐτοῖς κύριε τί δώσεις αὐτοῖς δὸς αὐτοῖς μήτραν ἀτεκνοῦσαν καὶ μαστοὺς ξηρούς (lxx) Hos 9:14 Da eis, Domine. Quid dabis eis? da eis vulvam sine liberis, et ubera arentia.(vulgate) Hos 9:14 HERR, gib ihnen-was willst du ihnen aber geben-,gib ihnen unfruchtbare Leiber und versiegte Brüste!(dhs) Hos 9:14 Give them, O Lord-- What will You give? Give them a miscarrying womb And dry breasts!(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:15 ============ Hos 9:15 All their evil is at Gilgal; Indeed, I came to hate them there! Because of the wickedness of their deeds I will drive them out of My house! I will love them no more; All their princes are rebels.(nasb) Hos 9:15 πᾶσαι αἱ κακίαι αὐτῶν εἰς Γαλγαλ ὅτι ἐκεῖ αὐτοὺς ἐμίσησα διὰ τὰς κακίας τῶν ἐπιτηδευμάτων αὐτῶν ἐκ τοῦ οἴκου μου ἐκβαλῶ αὐτούς οὐ μὴ προσθήσω τοῦ ἀγαπῆσαι αὐτούς πάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτῶν ἀπειθοῦντες (lxx) Hos 9:15 Omnes nequitiæ eorum in Galgal, quia ibi exosos habui eos. Propter malitiam adinventionum eorum, de domo mea ejiciam eos; non addam ut diligam eos: omnes principes eorum recedentes.(vulgate) Hos 9:15 Alle ihre Bosheit geschieht zu Gilgal, daselbst bin ich ihnen feind; und ich will sie auch um ihres bösen Wesens willen aus meinem Hause stoßen und ihnen nicht mehr Liebe erzeigen; denn alle Ihre Fürsten sind Abtrünnige.(dhs) Hos 9:15 "All their wickedness is in Gilgal, For there I hated them. Because of the evil of their deeds I will drive them from My house; I will love them no more. All their princes are rebellious.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:16 ============ Hos 9:16 Ephraim is stricken, their root is dried up, They will bear no fruit. Even though they bear children, I will slay the precious ones of their womb.(nasb) Hos 9:16 ἐπόνεσεν Εφραιμ τὰς ῥίζας αὐτοῦ ἐξηράνθη καρπὸν οὐκέτι μὴ ἐνέγκῃ διότι καὶ ἐὰν γεννήσωσιν ἀποκτενῶ τὰ ἐπιθυμήματα κοιλίας αὐτῶν (lxx) Hos 9:16 Percussus est Ephraim; radix eorum exsiccata est: fructum nequaquam facient, quod etsi genuerint, interficiam amantissima uteri eorum.(vulgate) Hos 9:16 Ephraim ist geschlagen; ihre Wurzel ist verdorrt, daß sie keine Frucht mehr bringen können. Und ob sie gebären würden, will ich doch die liebe Frucht ihres Leibes töten.(dhs) Hos 9:16 Ephraim is stricken, Their root is dried up; They shall bear no fruit.
