Today's Date: ======= Mark 15:1 ============ Mar 15:1 Early in the morning the chief priests with the elders and scribes and the whole Council, immediately held a consultation; and binding Jesus, they led Him away and delivered Him to Pilate.(nasb) Mar 15:1 καὶ εὐθὺς πρωῒ συμβούλιον ποιήσαντες οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς μετὰ τῶν πρεσβυτέρων καὶ γραμματέων καὶ ὅλον τὸ συνέδριον δήσαντες τὸν ἰησοῦν ἀπήνεγκαν καὶ παρέδωκαν πιλάτῳ.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:1 Et confestim mane consilium facientes summi sacerdotes cum senioribus, et scribis, et universo concilio, vincientes Jesum, duxerunt, et tradiderunt Pilato.(vulgate) Mar 15:1 Und bald am Morgen hielten die Hohenpriester einen Rat mit den Ältesten und Schriftgelehrten, dazu der ganze Rat, und banden Jesum und führten ihn hin und überantworteten ihn dem Pilatus.(dhs) Mar 15:1 Immediately, in the morning, the chief priests held a consultation with the elders and scribes and the whole council; and they bound Jesus, led Him away, and delivered Him to Pilate.(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:2 ============ Mar 15:2 Pilate questioned Him, "Are You the King of the Jews?" He answered and said to him, "It is as you say."(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:3 ============ Mar 15:3 The chief priests began to accuse Him harshly.(nasb) Mar 15:3 καὶ κατηγόρουν αὐτοῦ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς πολλά.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:3 Et accusabant eum summi sacerdotes in multis.(vulgate) Mar 15:3 Und die Hohenpriester beschuldigten ihn hart.(dhs) Mar 15:3 And the chief priests accused Him of many things, but He answered nothing.(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:4 ============ Mar 15:4 Then Pilate questioned Him again, saying, "Do You not answer? See how many charges they bring against You!"(nasb) Mar 15:4 ὁ δὲ πιλᾶτος πάλιν ἐπηρώτα αὐτὸν λέγων, οὐκ ἀποκρίνῃ οὐδέν; ἴδε πόσα σου κατηγοροῦσιν.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:4 Pilatus autem rursum interrogavit eum, dicens: Non respondes quidquam? vide in quantis te accusant.(vulgate) Mar 15:4 Pilatus aber fragte ihn abermals und sprach: Antwortest du nichts? Siehe, wie hart sie dich verklagen!(dhs) Mar 15:4 Then Pilate asked Him again, saying, "Do You answer nothing? But they shouted all the more, "Crucify Him!"(nasb) Mar 15:14 ὁ δὲ πιλᾶτος ἔλεγεν αὐτοῖς, τί γὰρ ἐποίησεν κακόν; οἱ δὲ περισσῶς ἔκραξαν, σταύρωσον αὐτόν.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:14 Pilatus vero dicebat illis: Quid enim mali fecit? At illi magis clamabant: Crucifige eum.(vulgate) Mar 15:14 Pilatus aber sprach zu ihnen: Was hat er Übles getan? Aber sie schrieen noch viel mehr: Kreuzige ihn!(dhs) Mar 15:14 Then Pilate said to them, "Why, what evil has He done?" But they cried out all the more, "Crucify Him!"(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:15 ============ Mar 15:15 Wishing to satisfy the crowd, Pilate released Barabbas for them, and after having Jesus scourged, he handed Him over to be crucified.(nasb) Mar 15:15 ὁ δὲ πιλᾶτος βουλόμενος τῶ ὄχλῳ τὸ ἱκανὸν ποιῆσαι ἀπέλυσεν αὐτοῖς τὸν βαραββᾶν, καὶ παρέδωκεν τὸν ἰησοῦν φραγελλώσας ἵνα σταυρωθῇ.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:15 Pilatus autem volens populo satisfacere, dimisit illis Barabbam, et tradidit Jesum flagellis cæsum, ut crucifigeretur.~(vulgate) Mar 15:15 Pilatus aber gedachte, dem Volk genugzutun, und gab ihnen Barabbas los, und geißelte Jesum und überantwortete ihn, daß er gekreuzigt würde.(dhs) Mar 15:15 So Pilate, wanting to gratify the crowd, released Barabbas to them; and he delivered Jesus, after he had scourged Him, to be crucified.(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:16 ============ Mar 15:16 The soldiers took Him away into the palace (that is, the Praetorium), and they called together the whole Roman cohort.(nasb) Mar 15:16 οἱ δὲ στρατιῶται ἀπήγαγον αὐτὸν ἔσω τῆς αὐλῆς, ὅ ἐστιν πραιτώριον, καὶ συγκαλοῦσιν ὅλην τὴν σπεῖραν.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:16 Milites autem duxerunt eum in atrium prætorii, et convocant totam cohortem,(vulgate) Mar 15:16 Die Kriegsknechte aber führten ihn hinein in das Richthaus und riefen zusammen die ganze Schar(dhs) Mar 15:16 Then the soldiers led Him away into the hall called Praetorium, and they called together the whole garrison.(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:17 ============ Mar 15:17 They dressed Him up in purple, and after twisting a crown of thorns, they put it on Him;(nasb) Mar 15:17 καὶ ἐνδιδύσκουσιν αὐτὸν πορφύραν καὶ περιτιθέασιν αὐτῶ πλέξαντες ἀκάνθινον στέφανον·(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:17 et induunt eum purpura, et imponunt ei plectentes spineam coronam.(vulgate) Mar 15:17 und zogen ihm einen Purpur an und flochten eine dornene Krone und setzten sie ihm auf,(dhs) Mar 15:17 And they clothed Him with purple; and they twisted a crown of thorns, put it on His head,(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:18 ============ Mar 15:18 and they began to acclaim Him, "Hail, King of the Jews!"(nasb) Mar 15:18 καὶ ἤρξαντο ἀσπάζεσθαι αὐτόν, χαῖρε, βασιλεῦ τῶν ἰουδαίων·(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:18 Et cœperunt salutare eum: Ave rex Judæorum.(vulgate) Mar 15:18 und fingen an, ihn zu grüßen: Gegrüßet seist du, der Juden König!(dhs) Mar 15:18 and began to salute Him, "Hail, King of the Jews!"(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:19 ============ Mar 15:19 They kept beating His head with a reed, and spitting on Him, and kneeling and bowing before Him.(nasb) Mar 15:19 καὶ ἔτυπτον αὐτοῦ τὴν κεφαλὴν καλάμῳ καὶ ἐνέπτυον αὐτῶ, καὶ τιθέντες τὰ γόνατα προσεκύνουν αὐτῶ.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:19 Et percutiebant caput ejus arundine: et conspuebant eum, et ponentes genua, adorabant eum.(vulgate) Mar 15:19 Und schlugen ihm das Haupt mit dem Rohr und verspeiten ihn und fielen auf die Kniee und beteten ihn an.(dhs) Mar 15:19 Then they struck Him on the head with a reed and spat on Him; and bowing the knee, they worshiped Him.(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:20 ============ Mar 15:20 After they had mocked Him, they took the purple robe off Him and put His own garments on Him. And they led Him out to crucify Him.(nasb) Mar 15:20 καὶ ὅτε ἐνέπαιξαν αὐτῶ, ἐξέδυσαν αὐτὸν τὴν πορφύραν καὶ ἐνέδυσαν αὐτὸν τὰ ἱμάτια αὐτοῦ. καὶ ἐξάγουσιν αὐτὸν ἵνα σταυρώσωσιν αὐτόν.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:20 Et postquam illuserunt ei, exuerunt illum purpura, et induerunt eum vestimentis suis: et educunt illum ut crucifigerent eum.~(vulgate) Mar 15:20 Und da sie ihn verspottet hatten, zogen sie ihm den Purpur aus und zogen seine eigenen Kleider an und führten ihn aus, daß sie ihn kreuzigten.(dhs) Mar 15:20 And when they had mocked Him, they took the purple off Him, put His own clothes on Him, and led Him out to crucify Him.(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:21 ============ Mar 15:21 They pressed into service a passer-by coming from the country, Simon of Cyrene (the father of Alexander and Rufus), to bear His cross.(nasb) Mar 15:21 καὶ ἀγγαρεύουσιν παράγοντά τινα σίμωνα κυρηναῖον ἐρχόμενον ἀπ᾽ ἀγροῦ, τὸν πατέρα ἀλεξάνδρου καὶ ῥούφου, ἵνα ἄρῃ τὸν σταυρὸν αὐτοῦ.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:21 Et angariaverunt prætereuntem quempiam, Simonem Cyrenæum venientem de villa, patrem Alexandri et Rufi, ut tolleret crucem ejus.(vulgate) Mar 15:21 Und zwangen einen, mit Namen Simon von Kyrene, der vom Felde kam (der ein Vater war des Alexander und Rufus), daß er sein Kreuz trüge.(dhs) Mar 15:21 Then they compelled a certain man, Simon a Cyrenian, the father of Alexander and Rufus, as he was coming out of the country and passing by, to bear His cross.(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:22 ============ Mar 15:22 Then they brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is translated, Place of a Skull.(nasb) Mar 15:22 καὶ φέρουσιν αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὸν γολγοθᾶν τόπον, ὅ ἐστιν μεθερμηνευόμενον κρανίου τόπος.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:22 Et perducunt illum in Golgotha locum: quod est interpretatum Calvariæ locus.(vulgate) Mar 15:22 Und sie brachten ihn an die Stätte Golgatha, das ist verdolmetscht: Schädelstätte.(dhs) Mar 15:22 And they brought Him to the place Golgotha, which is translated, Place of a Skull.(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:23 ============ Mar 15:23 They tried to give Him wine mixed with myrrh; You who are going to destroy the temple and rebuild it in three days,(nasb) Mar 15:29 καὶ οἱ παραπορευόμενοι ἐβλασφήμουν αὐτὸν κινοῦντες τὰς κεφαλὰς αὐτῶν καὶ λέγοντες, οὐὰ ὁ καταλύων τὸν ναὸν καὶ οἰκοδομῶν ἐν τρισὶν ἡμέραις,(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:29 Et prætereuntes blasphemabant eum, moventes capita sua, et dicentes: Vah! qui destruis templum Dei, et in tribus diebus reædificas,(vulgate) Mar 15:29 Und die vorübergingen, lästerten ihn und schüttelten ihre Häupter und sprachen: Pfui dich, wie fein zerbrichst du den Tempel und baust ihn in drei Tagen!(dhs) Mar 15:29 And those who passed by blasphemed Him, wagging their heads and saying, "Aha! You who destroy the temple and build it in three days,(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:30 ============ Mar 15:30 save Yourself, and come down from the cross!"(nasb) Mar 15:30 σῶσον σεαυτὸν καταβὰς ἀπὸ τοῦ σταυροῦ.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:30 salvum fac temetipsum descendens de cruce.(vulgate) Mar 15:30 Hilf dir nun selber und steig herab vom Kreuz!(dhs) Mar 15:30 save Yourself, and come down from the cross!"(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:31 ============ Mar 15:31 In the same way the chief priests also, along with the scribes, were mocking Him among themselves and saying, "He saved others; He cannot save Himself.(nasb) Mar 15:31 ὁμοίως καὶ οἱ ἀρχιερεῖς ἐμπαίζοντες πρὸς ἀλλήλους μετὰ τῶν γραμματέων ἔλεγον, ἄλλους ἔσωσεν, ἑαυτὸν οὐ δύναται σῶσαι·(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:31 Similiter et summi sacerdotes illudentes, ad alterutrum cum scribis dicebant: Alios salvos fecit; seipsum non potest salvum facere.(vulgate) Mar 15:31 Desgleichen die Hohenpriester verspotteten ihn untereinander samt den Schriftgelehrten und sprachen: Er hat anderen geholfen, und kann sich selber nicht helfen.(dhs) Mar 15:31 Likewise the chief priests also, mocking among themselves with the scribes, said, "He saved others; Himself He cannot save.(nkjv) ======= Mark 15:32 ============ Mar 15:32 Let this Christ, the King of Israel, now come down from the cross, so that we may see and believe!" Those who were crucified with Him were also insulting Him.(nasb) Mar 15:32 ὁ χριστὸς ὁ βασιλεὺς ἰσραὴλ καταβάτω νῦν ἀπὸ τοῦ σταυροῦ, ἵνα ἴδωμεν καὶ πιστεύσωμεν. καὶ οἱ συνεσταυρωμένοι σὺν αὐτῶ ὠνείδιζον αὐτόν.(Nestle-Aland) Mar 15:32 Christus rex Israël descendat nunc de cruce, ut videamus, et credamus.
