Today's Date: ======= Luke 17:1 ============ Luk 17:1 He said to His disciples, "It is inevitable that stumbling blocks come, but woe to him through whom they come!(nasb) Luk 17:1 εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς τοὺς μαθητὰς αὐτοῦ, ἀνένδεκτόν ἐστιν τοῦ τὰ σκάνδαλα μὴ ἐλθεῖν, πλὴν οὐαὶ δι᾽ οὖ ἔρχεται·(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:1 Et ait ad discipulos suos: Impossibile est ut non veniant scandala: væ autem illi per quem veniunt.(vulgate) Luk 17:1 Er sprach aber zu seinen Jüngern: Es ist unmöglich, daß nicht Ärgernisse kommen; weh aber dem, durch welchen sie kommen!(dhs) Luk 17:1 Then He said to the disciples, "It is impossible that no offenses should come, but woe to him through whom they do come!(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:2 ============ Luk 17:2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck and he were thrown into the sea, than that he would cause one of these little ones to stumble.(nasb) Luk 17:2 λυσιτελεῖ αὐτῶ εἰ λίθος μυλικὸς περίκειται περὶ τὸν τράχηλον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔρριπται εἰς τὴν θάλασσαν ἢ ἵνα σκανδαλίσῃ τῶν μικρῶν τούτων ἕνα.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:2 Utilius est illi si lapis molaris imponatur circa collum ejus, et projiciatur in mare quam ut scandalizet unum de pusillis istis.(vulgate) Luk 17:2 Es wäre ihm besser, daß man einen Mühlstein an seinen Hals hängte und würfe ihm ins Meer, denn daß er dieser Kleinen einen ärgert.(dhs) Luk 17:2 It would be better for him if a millstone were hung around his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, than that he should offend one of these little ones.(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:3 ============ Luk 17:3 Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.(nasb) Luk 17:3 προσέχετε ἑαυτοῖς. ἐὰν ἁμάρτῃ ὁ ἀδελφός σου ἐπιτίμησον αὐτῶ, καὶ ἐὰν μετανοήσῃ ἄφες αὐτῶ·(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:3 Attendite vobis: Si peccaverit in te frater tuus, increpa illum: et si pœnitentiam egerit, dimitte illi.(vulgate) Luk 17:3 Hütet euch! So dein Bruder an dir sündigt, so strafe ihn; und so es ihn reut, vergib ihm.(dhs) Luk 17:3 Take heed to yourselves. If your brother sins against you, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him.(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:4 ============ Luk 17:4 And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, 'I repent,' forgive him."(nasb) Luk 17:4 καὶ ἐὰν ἑπτάκις τῆς ἡμέρας ἁμαρτήσῃ εἰς σὲ καὶ ἑπτάκις ἐπιστρέψῃ πρὸς σὲ λέγων, μετανοῶ, ἀφήσεις αὐτῶ.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:4 Et si septies in die peccaverit in te, et septies in die conversus fuerit ad te, dicens: Pœnitet me, dimitte illi.(vulgate) Luk 17:4 Und wenn er siebenmal des Tages an dir sündigen würde und siebenmal des Tages wiederkäme zu dir und spräche: Es reut mich! so sollst du ihm vergeben.(dhs) Luk 17:4 And if he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times in a day returns to you, saying, 'I repent,' you shall forgive him."(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:5 ============ Luk 17:5 The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!"(nasb) Luk 17:5 καὶ εἶπαν οἱ ἀπόστολοι τῶ κυρίῳ, πρόσθες ἡμῖν πίστιν.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:5 Et dixerunt apostoli Domino: Adauge nobis fidem.(vulgate) Luk 17:5 Und die Apostel sprachen zum HERRN: Stärke uns den Glauben!(dhs) Luk 17:5 And the apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith."(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:6 ============ Luk 17:6 And the Lord said, "If you had faith like a mustard seed, you would say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and be planted in the sea'; and it would obey you.(nasb) Luk 17:6 εἶπεν δὲ ὁ κύριος, εἰ ἔχετε πίστιν ὡς κόκκον σινάπεως, ἐλέγετε ἂν τῇ συκαμίνῳ [ταύτῃ], ἐκριζώθητι καὶ φυτεύθητι ἐν τῇ θαλάσσῃ· καὶ ὑπήκουσεν ἂν ὑμῖν.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:6 Dixit autem Dominus: Si habueritis fidem sicut granum sinapis, dicetis huic arbori moro: Eradicare, et transplantare in mare, et obediet vobis.(vulgate) Luk 17:6 Der HERR aber sprach: Wenn ihr Glauben habt wie ein Senfkorn und sagt zu diesem Maulbeerbaum: Reiß dich aus und versetze dich ins Meer! so wird er euch gehorsam sein.(dhs) Luk 17:6 So the Lord said, "If you have faith as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be pulled up by the roots and be planted in the sea,' and it would obey you.(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:7 ============ Luk 17:7 "Which of you, having a slave plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come immediately and sit down to eat'?(nasb) Luk 17:7 τίς δὲ ἐξ ὑμῶν δοῦλον ἔχων ἀροτριῶντα ἢ ποιμαίνοντα, ὃς εἰσελθόντι ἐκ τοῦ ἀγροῦ ἐρεῖ αὐτῶ, εὐθέως παρελθὼν ἀνάπεσε,(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:7 Quis autem vestrum habens servum arantem aut pascentem, qui regresso de agro dicat illi: Statim transi, recumbe:(vulgate) Luk 17:7 Welcher ist unter euch, der einen Knecht hat, der ihm pflügt oder das Vieh weidet, wenn er heimkommt vom Felde, daß er ihm alsbald sage: Gehe alsbald hin und setze dich zu Tische?(dhs) Luk 17:7 And which of you, having a servant plowing or tending sheep, will say to him when he has come in from the field, 'Come at once and sit down to eat'?(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:8 ============ Luk 17:8 But will he not say to him, 'Prepare something for me to eat, and properly clothe yourself and serve me while I eat and drink; and afterward you may eat and drink'?(nasb) Luk 17:8 ἀλλ᾽ οὐχὶ ἐρεῖ αὐτῶ, ἑτοίμασον τί δειπνήσω, καὶ περιζωσάμενος διακόνει μοι ἕως φάγω καὶ πίω, καὶ μετὰ ταῦτα φάγεσαι καὶ πίεσαι σύ;(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:8 et non dicat ei: Para quod cœnem, et præcinge te, et ministra mihi donec manducem, et bibam, et post hæc tu manducabis, et bibes?(vulgate) Luk 17:8 Ist's nicht also, daß er zu ihm sagt: Richte zu, was ich zum Abend esse, schürze dich und diene mir, bis ich esse und trinke; darnach sollst du auch essen und trinken?(dhs) Luk 17:8 But will he not rather say to him, 'Prepare something for my supper, and gird yourself and serve me till I have eaten and drunk, and afterward you will eat and drink'?(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:9 ============ Luk 17:9 He does not thank the slave because he did the things which were commanded, does he?(nasb) Luk 17:9 μὴ ἔχει χάριν τῶ δούλῳ ὅτι ἐποίησεν τὰ διαταχθέντα;(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:9 Numquid gratiam habet servo illi, quia fecit quæ ei imperaverat?(vulgate) Luk 17:9 Dankt er auch dem Knechte, daß er getan hat, was ihm befohlen war? Ich meine es nicht.(dhs) Luk 17:9 Does he thank that servant because he did the things that were commanded him? I think not.(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:10 ============ Luk 17:10 So you too, when you do all the things which are commanded you, say, 'We are unworthy slaves; we have done only that which we ought to have done.'"(nasb) Luk 17:10 οὕτως καὶ ὑμεῖς, ὅταν ποιήσητε πάντα τὰ διαταχθέντα ὑμῖν, λέγετε ὅτι δοῦλοι ἀχρεῖοί ἐσμεν, ὃ ὠφείλομεν ποιῆσαι πεποιήκαμεν.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:10 non puto. Sic et vos cum feceritis omnia quæ præcepta sunt vobis, dicite: Servi inutiles sumus: quod debuimus facere, fecimus.~(vulgate) Luk 17:10 Also auch ihr; wenn ihr alles getan habt, was euch befohlen ist, so sprechet: Wir sind unnütze Knechte; wir haben getan, was wir zu tun schuldig waren.(dhs) Luk 17:10 So likewise you, when you have done all those things which you are commanded, say, 'We are unprofitable servants. We have done what was our duty to do.' "(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:11 ============ Luk 17:11 While He was on the way to Jerusalem, He was passing between Samaria and Galilee.(nasb) Luk 17:11 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῶ πορεύεσθαι εἰς ἰερουσαλὴμ καὶ αὐτὸς διήρχετο διὰ μέσον σαμαρείας καὶ γαλιλαίας.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:11 Et factum est, dum iret in Jerusalem, transibat per mediam Samariam et Galilæam.(vulgate) Luk 17:11 Und es begab sich, da er reiste gen Jerusalem, zog er mitten durch Samarien und Galiläa.(dhs) Luk 17:11 Now it happened as He went to Jerusalem that He passed through the midst of Samaria and Galilee.(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:12 ============ Luk 17:12 As He entered a village, ten leprous men who stood at a distance met Him;(nasb) Luk 17:12 καὶ εἰσερχομένου αὐτοῦ εἴς τινα κώμην ἀπήντησαν [αὐτῶ] δέκα λεπροὶ ἄνδρες, οἳ ἔστησαν πόρρωθεν,(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:12 Et cum ingrederetur quoddam castellum, occurrerunt ei decem viri leprosi, qui steterunt a longe:(vulgate) Luk 17:12 Und als er in einen Markt kam, begegneten ihm zehn aussätzige Männer, die standen von ferne(dhs) Luk 17:12 Then as He entered a certain village, there met Him ten men who were lepers, who stood afar off.(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:13 ============ Luk 17:13 and they raised their voices, saying, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"(nasb) Luk 17:13 καὶ αὐτοὶ ἦραν φωνὴν λέγοντες, ἰησοῦ ἐπιστάτα, ἐλέησον ἡμᾶς.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:13 et levaverunt vocem, dicentes: Jesu præceptor, miserere nostri.(vulgate) Luk 17:13 und erhoben ihre Stimme und sprachen: Jesu, lieber Meister, erbarme dich unser!(dhs) Luk 17:13 And they lifted up their voices and said, "Jesus, Master, have mercy on us!"(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:14 ============ Luk 17:14 When He saw them, He said to them, "Go and show yourselves to the priests." And as they were going, they were cleansed.(nasb) Luk 17:14 καὶ ἰδὼν εἶπεν αὐτοῖς, πορευθέντες ἐπιδείξατε ἑαυτοὺς τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν. καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῶ ὑπάγειν αὐτοὺς ἐκαθαρίσθησαν.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:14 Quos ut vidit, dixit: Ite, ostendite vos sacerdotibus. Et factum est, dum irent, mundati sunt.(vulgate) Luk 17:14 Und da er sie sah, sprach er zu ihnen: Gehet hin und zeiget euch den Priestern! Und es geschah, da sie hingingen, wurden sie rein.(dhs) Luk 17:14 So when He saw them, He said to them, "Go, show yourselves to the priests." And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed.(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:15 ============ Luk 17:15 Now one of them, when he saw that he had been healed, turned back, glorifying God with a loud voice,(nasb) Luk 17:15 εἷς δὲ ἐξ αὐτῶν, ἰδὼν ὅτι ἰάθη, ὑπέστρεψεν μετὰ φωνῆς μεγάλης δοξάζων τὸν θεόν,(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:15 Unus autem ex illis, ut vidit quia mundatus est, regressus est, cum magna voce magnificans Deum,(vulgate) Luk 17:15 Einer aber unter ihnen, da er sah, daß er geheilt war, kehrte um und pries Gott mit lauter Stimme(dhs) Luk 17:15 And one of them, when he saw that he was healed, returned, and with a loud voice glorified God,(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:16 ============ Luk 17:16 and he fell on his face at His feet, giving thanks to Him. And he was a Samaritan.(nasb) Luk 17:16 καὶ ἔπεσεν ἐπὶ πρόσωπον παρὰ τοὺς πόδας αὐτοῦ εὐχαριστῶν αὐτῶ· καὶ αὐτὸς ἦν σαμαρίτης.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:16 et cecidit in faciem ante pedes ejus, gratias agens: et hic erat Samaritanus.(vulgate) Luk 17:16 und fiel auf sein Angesicht zu seinen Füßen und dankte ihm. Wo sind aber die neun?(dhs) Luk 17:17 So Jesus answered and said, "Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:18 ============ Luk 17:18 Was no one found who returned to give glory to God, except this foreigner?"(nasb) Luk 17:18 οὐχ εὑρέθησαν ὑποστρέψαντες δοῦναι δόξαν τῶ θεῶ εἰ μὴ ὁ ἀλλογενὴς οὖτος;(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:18 Non est inventus qui rediret, et daret gloriam Deo, nisi hic alienigena.(vulgate) Luk 17:18 Hat sich sonst keiner gefunden, der wieder umkehrte und gäbe Gott die Ehre, denn dieser Fremdling?(dhs) Luk 17:18 Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?"(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:19 ============ Luk 17:19 And He said to him, "Stand up and go; your faith has made you well."(nasb) Luk 17:19 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῶ, ἀναστὰς πορεύου· ἡ πίστις σου σέσωκέν σε.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:19 Et ait illi: Surge, vade: quia fides tua te salvum fecit.~(vulgate) Luk 17:19 Und er sprach zu ihm: Stehe auf, gehe hin; dein Glaube hat dir geholfen.(dhs) Luk 17:19 And He said to him, "Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well."(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:20 ============ Luk 17:20 Now having been questioned by the Pharisees as to when the kingdom of God was coming, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God is not coming with signs to be observed;(nasb) Luk 17:20 ἐπερωτηθεὶς δὲ ὑπὸ τῶν φαρισαίων πότε ἔρχεται ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ ἀπεκρίθη αὐτοῖς καὶ εἶπεν, οὐκ ἔρχεται ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ μετὰ παρατηρήσεως,(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:20 Interrogatus autem a pharisæis: Quando venit regnum Dei? respondens eis, dixit: Non venit regnum Dei cum observatione:(vulgate) Luk 17:20 Da er aber gefragt ward von den Pharisäern: Wann kommt das Reich Gottes? antwortete er ihnen und sprach: Das Reich Gottes kommt nicht mit äußerlichen Gebärden;(dhs) Luk 17:20 Now when He was asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, He answered them and said, "The kingdom of God does not come with observation;(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:21 ============ Luk 17:21 nor will they say, 'Look, here it is!' or, 'There it is!' For behold, the kingdom of God is in your midst."(nasb) Luk 17:21 οὐδὲ ἐροῦσιν, ἰδοὺ ὧδε· ἤ, ἐκεῖ· ἰδοὺ γὰρ ἡ βασιλεία τοῦ θεοῦ ἐντὸς ὑμῶν ἐστιν.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:21 neque dicent: Ecce hic, aut ecce illic. Ecce enim regnum Dei intra vos est.(vulgate) Luk 17:21 man wird auch nicht sagen: Siehe hier! oder: da ist es! Denn sehet, das Reich Gottes ist inwendig in euch.(dhs) Luk 17:21 nor will they say, 'See here!' or 'See there!' For indeed, the kingdom of God is within you."(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:22 ============ Luk 17:22 And He said to the disciples, "The days will come when you will long to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.(nasb) Luk 17:22 εἶπεν δὲ πρὸς τοὺς μαθητάς, ἐλεύσονται ἡμέραι ὅτε ἐπιθυμήσετε μίαν τῶν ἡμερῶν τοῦ υἱοῦ τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἰδεῖν καὶ οὐκ ὄψεσθε.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:22 Et ait ad discipulos suos: Venient dies quando desideretis videre unum diem Filii hominis, et non videbitis.(vulgate) Luk 17:22 Er sprach aber zu den Jüngern: Es wird die Zeit kommen, daß ihr werdet begehren zu sehen einen Tag des Menschensohnes, und werdet ihn nicht sehen.(dhs) Luk 17:22 Then He said to the disciples, "The days will come when you will desire to see one of the days of the Son of Man, and you will not see it.(nkjv) ======= Luke 17:23 ============ Luk 17:23 They will say to you, 'Look there! Look here!' Do not go away, and do not run after them.(nasb) Luk 17:23 καὶ ἐροῦσιν ὑμῖν, ἰδοὺ ἐκεῖ· [ἤ,] ἰδοὺ ὧδε· μὴ ἀπέλθητε μηδὲ διώξητε.(Nestle-Aland) Luk 17:23 Et dicent vobis: Ecce hic, et ecce illic. Nolite ire, neque sectemini:(vulgate) Luk 17:23 Und sie werden zu euch sagen: Siehe hier! siehe da! Gehet nicht hin und folget auch nicht.(dhs) Luk 17:23 And they will say to you, 'Look here!' or 'Look there!'
