Today's Date: ======= Judges 18:1 ============ Jdg 18:1 In those days there was no king of Israel; and in those days the tribe of the Danites was seeking an inheritance for themselves to live in, for until that day an inheritance had not been allotted to them as a possession among the tribes of Israel.(nasb) Jdg 18:1 In diebus illis non erat rex in Israël, et tribus Dan quærebat possessionem sibi, ut habitaret in ea: usque ad illum enim diem inter ceteras tribus sortem non acceperat.(vulgate) Jueces 18:1 En aquellos días no [había] rey en Israel. Y en aquellos días la tribu de Dan buscaba posesión para sí donde morase, porque hasta entonces no le había caído suerte entre las tribus de Israel por heredad.(E) Juges 18:1 En ce temps-là, il n'y avait point de roi en Israël; et la tribu des Danites se cherchait une possession pour s'établir, car jusqu'à ce jour il ne lui était point échu d'héritage au milieu des tribus d'Israël.(F) Jdg 18:1 Zu der Zeit war kein König in Israel. Und der Stamm der Daniter suchte sich ein Erbteil, da sie wohnen möchten; denn es war bis auf den Tag noch kein Erbe auf sie gefallen unter den Stämmen Israels.(D) Jdg 18:1 ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις οὐκ ἦν βασιλεὺς ἐν Ισραηλ καὶ ἐν ταῖς ἡμέραις ἐκείναις ἡ φυλὴ Δαν ἐζήτει αὑτῇ κληρονομίαν κατοικῆσαι ὅτι οὐκ ἐνέπεσεν αὐτῇ ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ἐκείνης ἐν μέσῳ φυλῶν Ισραηλ κληρονομία(lxx) Jdg 18:1 In those days there was no king in Israel. And in those days the tribe of the Danites was seeking an inheritance for itself to dwell in; for until that day their inheritance among the tribes of Israel had not fallen to them.(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:2 ============ Jdg 18:2 So the sons of Dan sent from their family five men out of their whole number, valiant men from Zorah and Eshtaol, to spy out the land and to search it; and they said to them, "Go, search the land." And they came to the hill country of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and lodged there.(nasb) Jdg 18:2 Miserunt ergo filii Dan stirpis et familiæ suæ quinque viros fortissimos de Saraa et Esthaol, ut explorarent terram, et diligenter inspicerent: dixeruntque eis: Ite, et considerate terram. Qui cum pergentes venissent in montem Ephraim, et intrassent domum Michæ, requieverunt ibi:(vulgate) Jueces 18:2 Y los hijos de Dan enviaron de su tribu cinco hombres de sus términos, hombres valientes, de Zora y Estaol, para que reconociesen y explorasen bien la tierra; y les dijeron; Id y reconoced la tierra. Éstos vinieron al monte de Efraín, hasta la casa de Micaía, y allí posaron.(E) Juges 18:2 Les fils de Dan prirent sur eux tous, parmi leurs familles, cinq hommes vaillants, qu'ils envoyèrent de Tsorea et d'Eschthaol, pour explorer le pays et pour l'examiner. Ils leur dirent: Allez, examinez le pays. Ils arrivèrent dans la montagne d'Ephraïm jusqu'à la maison de Mica, et ils y passèrent la nuit.(F) Jdg 18:2 Und die Kinder Dan sandten aus ihren Geschlechtern von ihren Enden fünf streitbare Männer von Zora und Esthaol, das Land zu erkunden und zu erforschen, und sprachen zu ihnen: Ziehet hin und erforschet das Land. Und sie kamen auf das Gebirge Ephraim ans Haus Michas und blieben über Nacht daselbst.(D) Jdg 18:2 καὶ ἀπέστειλαν οἱ υἱοὶ Δαν ἀπὸ δήμων αὐτῶν πέντε ἄνδρας υἱοὺς δυνάμεως ἀπὸ Σαραα καὶ ἀπὸ Εσθαολ τοῦ κατασκέψασθαι τὴν γῆν καὶ ἐξιχνιάσαι αὐτὴν καὶ εἶπαν πρὸς αὐτούς πορεύεσθε καὶ ἐξιχνιάσατε τὴν γῆν καὶ ἦλθον ἕως ὄρους Εφραιμ ἕως οἴκου Μιχαια καὶ ηὐλίσθησαν ἐκεῖ(lxx) Jdg 18:2 So the children of Dan sent five men of their family from their territory, men of valor from Zorah and Eshtaol, to spy out the land and search it. They said to them, "Go, search the land." So they went to the mountains of Ephraim, to the house of Micah, and lodged there.(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:3 ============ Jdg 18:3 When they were near the house of Micah, they recognized the voice of the young man, the Levite; and they turned aside there and said to him, "Who brought you here? And what are you doing in this place? And what do you have here?"(nasb) Jdg 18:3 et agnoscentes vocem adolescentis Levitæ, utentesque illius diversorio, dixerunt ad eum: Quis te huc adducit? quid hic agis? quam ob causam huc venire voluisti?(vulgate) Jueces 18:3 Y cuando [estaban] cerca de la casa de Micaía, reconocieron la voz del joven levita; y llegándose allá, le dijeron: ¿Quién te ha traído por acá? ¿Y qué haces aquí? ¿Y qué tienes tú por aquí?(E) Juges 18:3 Comme ils étaient près de la maison de Mica, ils reconnurent la voix du jeune Lévite, s'approchèrent et lui dirent: Qui t'a amené ici? que fais-tu dans ce lieu? et qu'as-tu ici?(F) Jdg 18:3 Und da sie bei dem Gesinde Michas waren, erkannten sie die Stimme des Jünglings, des Leviten; und sie wichen von ihrem Weg dahin und sprachen zu ihm: Wer hat dich hierhergebracht? Was machst du da? Und was hast du hier?(D) Jdg 18:3 αὐτοὶ ἐν οἴκῳ Μιχαια καὶ αὐτοὶ ἐπέγνωσαν τὴν φωνὴν τοῦ νεανίσκου τοῦ Λευίτου καὶ ἐξέκλιναν ἐκεῖ καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ τίς ἤνεγκέν σε ὧδε καὶ τί σὺ ποιεῖς ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ καὶ τί σοι ὧδε(lxx) Jdg 18:3 While they were at the house of Micah, they recognized the voice of the young Levite. What do you have here?"(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:4 ============ Jdg 18:4 He said to them, "Thus and so has Micah done to me, and he has hired me and I have become his priest."(nasb) Jdg 18:4 Qui respondit eis: Hæc et hæc præstitit mihi Michas, et me mercede conduxit, ut sim ei sacerdos.(vulgate) Jueces 18:4 Y él les respondió: De esta y de esta manera ha hecho conmigo Micaía, y me ha tomado para que sea su sacerdote.(E) Juges 18:4 Il leur répondit: Mica fait pour moi telle et telle chose, il me donne un salaire, et je lui sers de prêtre.(F) Jdg 18:4 Er antwortete ihnen: So und so hat Micha an mir getan und hat mich gedingt, daß ich sein Priester sei.(D) Jdg 18:4 καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτούς οὕτως καὶ οὕτως ἐποίησέν μοι Μιχαιας καὶ ἐμισθώσατό με καὶ ἐγενόμην αὐτῷ εἰς ἱερέα(lxx) Jdg 18:4 He said to them, "Thus and so Micah did for me. He has hired me, and I have become his priest."(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:5 ============ Jdg 18:5 They said to him, "Inquire of God, please, that we may know whether our way on which we are going will be prosperous."(nasb) Jdg 18:5 Rogaverunt autem eum ut consuleret Dominum ut scire possent an prospero itinere pergerent, et res haberet effectum.(vulgate) Jueces 18:5 Y ellos le dijeron: Pregunta pues, ahora a Dios, para que sepamos si este viaje que hacemos será próspero.(E) Juges 18:5 Ils lui dirent: Consulte Dieu, afin que nous sachions si notre voyage aura du succès.(F) Jdg 18:5 Sie sprachen zu ihm: Frage doch Gott, daß wir erfahren, ob unser Weg, den wir wandeln, auch wohl geraten werde.(D) Jdg 18:5 καὶ εἶπαν αὐτῷ ἐρώτησον δὴ ἐν τῷ θεῷ καὶ γνωσόμεθα εἰ εὐοδωθήσεται ἡ ὁδὸς ἡμῶν ἐν ᾗ ἡμεῖς πορευόμεθα ἐν αὐτῇ(lxx) Jdg 18:5 So they said to him, "Please inquire of God, that we may know whether the journey on which we go will be prosperous."(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:6 ============ Jdg 18:6 The priest said to them, "Go in peace; your way in which you are going has the Lord's approval."(nasb) Jdg 18:6 Qui respondit eis: Ite in pace: Dominus respicit viam vestram, et iter quo pergitis.(vulgate) Jueces 18:6 Y el sacerdote les respondió: Id en paz, que vuestro viaje que hacéis es delante de Jehová.(E) Juges 18:6 Et le prêtre leur répondit: Allez en paix; le voyage que vous faites est sous le regard de l'Eternel.(F) Jdg 18:6 Der Priester antwortete ihnen: Ziehet hin mit Frieden; euer Weg, den ihr ziehet, ist recht vor dem HERRN.(D) Jdg 18:6 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ὁ ἱερεύς πορεύεσθε ἐν εἰρήνῃ ἐνώπιον κυρίου ἡ ὁδὸς ὑμῶν ἐν ᾗ πορεύεσθε ἐν αὐτῇ(lxx) Jdg 18:6 And the priest said to them, "Go in peace. The presence of the Lord be with you on your way."(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:7 ============ Jdg 18:7 Then the five men departed and came to Laish and saw the people who were in it living in security, after the manner of the Sidonians, quiet and secure; for there was no ruler humiliating them for anything in the land, and they were far from the Sidonians and had no dealings with anyone.(nasb) Jdg 18:7 Euntes igitur quinque viri venerunt Lais: videruntque populum habitantem in ea absque ullo timore, juxta consuetudinem Sidoniorum, securum et quietum, nullo ei penitus resistente, magnarumque opum, et procul a Sidone atque a cunctis hominibus separatum.~(vulgate) Jueces 18:7 Entonces aquellos cinco hombres partieron, y vinieron a Lais; y vieron que el pueblo que [habitaba] en ella estaba seguro, ocioso y confiado, conforme a la costumbre de los sidonios; sin que nadie en aquella región los humillase en cosa alguna; y estaban lejos de los sidonios, y no tenían negocios con nadie.(E) Juges 18:7 Les cinq hommes partirent, et ils arrivèrent à Laïs. Ils virent le peuple qui y était vivant en sécurité à la manière des Sidoniens, tranquille et sans inquiétude; il n'y avait dans le pays personne qui leur fît le moindre outrage en dominant sur eux; ils étaient éloignés des Sidoniens, et ils n'avaient pas de liaison avec d'autres hommes.(F) Jdg 18:7 Da gingen die fünf Männer hin und kamen gen Lais und sahen das Volk, das darin war, sicher wohnen auf die Weise wie die Sidonier, still und sicher; und war niemand, der ihnen Leid täte im Land oder Herr über sie wäre, und waren ferne von den Sidoniern und hatten nichts mit Leuten zu tun.(D) Jdg 18:7 καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν οἱ πέντε ἄνδρες καὶ ἦλθον εἰς Λαισα καὶ εἶδαν τὸν λαὸν τὸν ἐν μέσῳ αὐτῆς καθήμενον ἐπ᾽ ἐλπίδι ὡς κρίσις Σιδωνίων ἡσυχάζουσα καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν διατρέπων ἢ καταισχύνων λόγον ἐν τῇ γῇ κληρονόμος ἐκπιέζων θησαυροῦ καὶ μακράν εἰσιν Σιδωνίων καὶ λόγον οὐκ ἔχουσιν πρὸς ἄνθρωπον(lxx) Jdg 18:7 So the five men departed and went to Laish. They saw the people who were there, how they dwelt safely, in the manner of the Sidonians, quiet and secure. There were no rulers in the land who might put them to shame for anything. They were far from the Sidonians, and they had no ties with anyone.(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:8 ============ Jdg 18:8 When they came back to their brothers at Zorah and Eshtaol, their brothers said to them, "What do you report?"(nasb) Jdg 18:8 Reversique ad fratres suos in Saraa et Esthaol, et quid egissent sciscitantibus responderunt:(vulgate) Jueces 18:8 Volviendo pues, ellos a sus hermanos en Zora y Estaol, sus hermanos les dijeron: ¿Qué hay?(E) Juges 18:8 Ils revinrent auprès de leurs frères à Tsorea et Eschthaol, et leurs frères leur dirent: Quelle nouvelle apportez-vous?(F) Jdg 18:8 Und sie kamen zu ihren Brüdern gen Zora und Esthaol; und ihre Brüder sprachen zu ihnen: Wie steht's mit euch?(D) Jdg 18:8 καὶ ἦλθον οἱ πέντε ἄνδρες πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτῶν εἰς Σαραα καὶ Εσθαολ καὶ εἶπον τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς αὐτῶν τί ὑμεῖς κάθησθε(lxx) Jdg 18:8 Then the spies came back to their brethren at Zorah and Eshtaol, and their brethren said to them, "What is your report?"(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:9 ============ Jdg 18:9 They said, "Arise, and let us go up against them; for we have seen the land, and behold, it is very good. And will you sit still? Do not delay to go, to enter, to possess the land.(nasb) Jdg 18:9 Surgite, ascendamus ad eos: vidimus enim terram valde opulentam et uberem. Nolite negligere, nolite cessare: eamus, et possideamus eam: nullus erit labor.(vulgate) Jueces 18:9 Y ellos respondieron: Levantaos, subamos contra ellos; porque nosotros hemos explorado la región, y hemos visto que es muy buena: ¿y vosotros os quedáis quietos? No seáis perezosos en poneros en marcha para ir a poseer la tierra.(E) Juges 18:9 Allons! répondirent-ils, montons contre eux; car nous avons vu le pays, et voici, il est très bon. Quoi! vous restez sans rien dire! Ne soyez point paresseux à vous mettre en marche pour aller prendre possession de ce pays.(F) Jdg 18:9 Sie sprachen: Auf, laßt uns zu ihnen hinaufziehen! denn wir haben das Land besehen, das ist sehr gut. Darum eilt und seid nicht faul zu ziehen, daß ihr kommt, das Land einzunehmen.(D) Jdg 18:9 καὶ εἶπαν ἀνάστητε καὶ ἀναβῶμεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς ὅτι εἴδομεν τὴν γῆν καὶ ἰδοὺ ἀγαθὴ σφόδρα καὶ ὑμεῖς ἡσυχάζετε μὴ ὀκνήσητε τοῦ πορευθῆναι καὶ εἰσελθεῖν τοῦ κληρονομῆσαι τὴν γῆν(lxx) Jdg 18:9 So they said, "Arise, let us go up against them. For we have seen the land, and indeed it is very good. Would you do nothing? Do not hesitate to go, and enter to possess the land.(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:10 ============ Jdg 18:10 When you enter, you will come to a secure people with a spacious land; for God has given it into your hand, a place where there is no lack of anything that is on the earth."(nasb) Jdg 18:10 Intrabimus ad securos, in regionem latissimam, tradetque nobis Dominus locum, in quo nullius rei est penuria eorum quæ gignuntur in terra.(vulgate) Jueces 18:10 Cuando allá llegareis, vendréis a una gente confiada, y a una tierra muy espaciosa; pues Dios la ha entregado en vuestras manos; lugar donde no hay falta de cosa alguna que haya en la tierra.(E) Juges 18:10 Quand vous y entrerez, vous arriverez vers un peuple en sécurité. Le pays est vaste, et Dieu l'a livré entre vos mains; c'est un lieu où rien ne manque de tout ce qui est sur la terre.(F) Jdg 18:10 Wenn ihr kommt, werdet ihr zu einem sichern Volke kommen, und das Land ist weit und breit; denn Gott hat's in eure Hände gegeben, einen solchen Ort, da nichts gebricht an alle dem, was auf Erden ist.(D) Jdg 18:10 καὶ ἡνίκα ἂν ἔλθητε εἰσελεύσεσθε πρὸς λαὸν ἐπ᾽ ἐλπίδι καὶ ἡ γῆ πλατεῖα ὅτι ἔδωκεν αὐτὴν ὁ θεὸς ἐν χειρὶ ὑμῶν τόπος ὅπου οὐκ ἔστιν ἐκεῖ ὑστέρημα παντὸς ῥήματος τῶν ἐν τῇ γῇ(lxx) Jdg 18:10 When you go, you will come to a secure people and a large land. For God has given it into your hands, a place where there is no lack of anything that is on the earth."(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:11 ============ Jdg 18:11 Then from the family of the Danites, from Zorah and from Eshtaol, six hundred men armed with weapons of war set out.(nasb) Jdg 18:11 Profecti igitur sunt de cognatione Dan, id est, de Saraa et Esthaol, sexcenti viri accincti armis bellicis,(vulgate) Jueces 18:11 Y partiendo los de Dan de allí, de Zora y de Estaol, seiscientos hombres armados con armas de guerra,(E) Juges 18:11 Six cents hommes de la famille de Dan partirent de Tsorea et d'Eschthaol, munis de leurs armes de guerre.(F) Jdg 18:11 Da zogen von da aus den Geschlechtern Dan von Zora und Esthaol sechshundert Mann, gerüstet mit ihren Waffen zum Streit,(D) Jdg 18:11 καὶ ἀπῆραν ἐκεῖθεν ἀπὸ δήμων τοῦ Δαν ἀπὸ Σαραα καὶ ἀπὸ Εσθαολ ἑξακόσιοι ἄνδρες ἐζωσμένοι σκεύη παρατάξεως(lxx) Jdg 18:11 And six hundred men of the family of the Danites went from there, from Zorah and Eshtaol, armed with weapons of war.(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:12 ============ Jdg 18:12 They went up and camped at Kiriath-jearim in Judah. Therefore they called that place Mahaneh-dan to this day; behold, it is west of Kiriath-jearim.(nasb) Jdg 18:12 ascendentesque manserunt in Cariathiarim Judæ: qui locus ex eo tempore Castrorum Dan nomen accepit, et est post tergum Cariathiarim.(vulgate) Jueces 18:12 subieron y acamparon en Quiriat-jearim, en Judá; por lo cual llamaron a aquel lugar el campamento de Dan, hasta hoy; he aquí [está] detrás de Quiriat-jearim.(E) Juges 18:12 Ils montèrent, et campèrent à Kirjath-Jearim en Juda; c'est pourquoi ce lieu, qui est derrière Kirjath-Jearim, a été appelé jusqu'à ce jour Machané-Dan.(F) Jdg 18:12 und zogen hinauf und lagerten sich zu Kirjath-Jearim in Juda. Daher nannten sie die Stätte das Lager Dan bis auf diesen Tag, das hinter Kirjath-Jearim liegt.(D) Jdg 18:12 καὶ ἀνέβησαν καὶ παρενέβαλον ἐν Καριαθιαριμ ἐν Ιουδα διὰ τοῦτο ἐκλήθη ἐν ἐκείνῳ τῷ τόπῳ παρεμβολὴ Δαν ἕως τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης ἰδοὺ ὀπίσω Καριαθιαριμ(lxx) Jdg 18:12 Then they went up and encamped in Kirjath Jearim in Judah. (Therefore they call that place Mahaneh Dan to this day. Cumque venissent ad domum Michæ,(vulgate) Jueces 18:13 Y pasando de allí al monte de Efraín, vinieron hasta la casa de Micaía.(E) Juges 18:13 Ils passèrent de là dans la montagne d'Ephraïm, et ils arrivèrent jusqu'à la maison de Mica.(F) Jdg 18:13 Und von da gingen sie auf das Gebirge Ephraim und kamen zum Hause Michas.(D) Jdg 18:13 καὶ παρῆλθον ἐκεῖθεν ὄρος Εφραιμ καὶ ἦλθον ἕως οἴκου Μιχαια(lxx) Jdg 18:13 And they passed from there to the mountains of Ephraim, and came to the house of Micah.(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:14 ============ Jdg 18:14 Then the five men who went to spy out the country of Laish said to their kinsmen, "Do you know that there are in these houses an ephod and household idols and a graven image and a molten image? Now therefore, consider what you should do."(nasb) Jdg 18:14 dixerunt quinque viri, qui prius missi fuerant ad considerandam terram Lais, ceteris fratribus suis: Nostis quod in domibus istis sit ephod, et theraphim, et sculptile, atque conflatile: videte quid vobis placeat.~(vulgate) Jueces 18:14 Entonces aquellos cinco hombres que habían ido a reconocer la tierra de Lais, dijeron a sus hermanos: ¿No sabéis como en estas casas hay efod y terafim, e imagen de talla y de fundición? Mirad pues, lo que habéis de hacer.(E) Juges 18:14 Alors les cinq hommes qui étaient allés pour explorer le pays de Laïs prirent la parole et dirent à leurs frères: Savez-vous qu'il y a dans ces maisons-là un éphod, des théraphim, une image taillée et une image en fonte? Voyez maintenant ce que vous avez à faire.(F) Jdg 18:14 Da antworteten die fünf Männer, die ausgegangen waren, das Land Lais zu erkunden, und sprachen zu ihren Brüdern: Wißt ihr auch, daß in diesen Häusern ein Leibrock, Hausgötzen, Bildnis und Abgott sind? Nun möget ihr denken, was euch zu tun ist.(D) Jdg 18:14 καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν οἱ πέντε ἄνδρες οἱ πεπορευμένοι κατασκέψασθαι τὴν γῆν Λαισα καὶ εἶπαν πρὸς τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτῶν ἔγνωτε ὅτι ἔστιν ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τούτῳ εφωδ καὶ θεραφιν καὶ γλυπτὸν καὶ χωνευτόν καὶ νῦν γνῶτε ὅ τι ποιήσετε(lxx) Jdg 18:14 Then the five men who had gone to spy out the country of Laish answered and said to their brethren, "Do you know that there are in these houses an ephod, household idols, a carved image, and a molded image? Is it better for you to be a priest to the house of one man, or to be priest to a tribe and a family in Israel?"(nasb) Jdg 18:19 Cui responderunt: Tace et pone digitum super os tuum: venique nobiscum, ut habeamus te patrem, ac sacerdotem. Quid tibi melius est, ut sis sacerdos in domo unius viri, an in una tribu et familia in Israël?(vulgate) Jueces 18:19 Y ellos le respondieron: Calla, pon la mano sobre tu boca, y vente con nosotros, para que seas nuestro padre y sacerdote. ¿Es mejor que seas tú sacerdote en casa de un solo hombre, que de una tribu y familia de Israel?(E) Juges 18:19 Ils lui répondirent: Tais-toi, mets ta main sur ta bouche, et viens avec nous; tu nous serviras de père et de prêtre. So they turned around and said to Micah, "What ails you, that you have gathered such a company?"(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:24 ============ Jdg 18:24 He said, "You have taken away my gods which I made, and the priest, and have gone away, and what do I have besides? So how can you say to me, 'What is the matter with you?'"(nasb) Jdg 18:24 Qui respondit: Deos meos, quos mihi feci, tulistis, et sacerdotem, et omnia quæ habeo, et dicitis: Quid tibi est?(vulgate) Jueces 18:24 Y él respondió: Habéis llevado mis dioses que yo hice, y al sacerdote, y os fuisteis: ¿Qué más me queda? ¿Y a qué propósito me decís: Qué tienes?(E) Juges 18:24 Il répondit: Mes dieux que j'avais faits, vous les avez enlevés avec le prêtre et vous êtes partis: que me reste-t-il? Comment donc pouvez-vous me dire: Qu'as-tu?(F) Jdg 18:24 Er antwortete: Ihr habt meine Götter genommen, die ich gemacht hatte, und den Priester und ziehet hin; und was habe ich nun mehr? Und ihr fragt noch, was mir fehle?(D) Jdg 18:24 καὶ εἶπεν Μιχαιας ὅτι τὸ γλυπτόν μου ὃ ἐποίησα ἐλάβετε καὶ τὸν ἱερέα καὶ ἐπορεύθητε καὶ τί ἐμοὶ ἔτι καὶ τί τοῦτο λέγετε πρός με τί κράζεις(lxx) Jdg 18:24 So he said, "You have taken away my gods which I made, and the priest, and you have gone away. Now what more do I have? How can you say to me, 'What ails you?' "(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:25 ============ Jdg 18:25 The sons of Dan said to him, "Do not let your voice be heard among us, or else fierce men will fall upon you and you will lose your life, with the lives of your household."(nasb) Jdg 18:25 Dixeruntque ei filii Dan: Cave ne ultra loquaris ad nos, et veniant ad te viri animo concitati, et ipse cum omni domo tua pereas.(vulgate) Jueces 18:25 Y los hijos de Dan le dijeron: No des voces tras nosotros, no sea que los de ánimo colérico os acometan, y pierdas también tu vida, y la vida de los tuyos.(E) Juges 18:25 Les fils de Dan lui dirent: Ne fais pas entendre ta voix près de nous; sinon des hommes irrités se jetteront sur vous, et tu causeras ta perte et celle de ta maison.(F) Jdg 18:25 Aber die Kinder Dan sprachen zu ihm: Laß deine Stimme nicht hören bei uns, daß nicht auf dich stoßen zornige Leute und deine Seele und deines Hauses Seele nicht hingerafft werde!(D) Jdg 18:25 καὶ εἶπον πρὸς αὐτὸν οἱ υἱοὶ Δαν μὴ ἀκουσθήτω δὴ φωνή σου μεθ᾽ ἡμῶν μήποτε συναντήσωσιν ἐν ἡμῖν ἄνδρες πικροὶ ψυχῇ καὶ προσθήσουσιν ψυχὴν καὶ τὴν ψυχὴν τοῦ οἴκου σου(lxx) Jdg 18:25 And the children of Dan said to him, "Do not let your voice be heard among us, lest angry men fall upon you, and you lose your life, with the lives of your household!"(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:26 ============ Jdg 18:26 So the sons of Dan went on their way; and when Micah saw that they were too strong for him, he turned and went back to his house.(nasb) Jdg 18:26 Et sic cœpto itinere perrexerunt. Videns autem Michas quod fortiores se essent, reversus est in domum suam.~(vulgate) Jueces 18:26 Y yéndose los hijos de Dan su camino, y viendo Micaía que [eran] más fuertes que él, se volvió y regresó a su casa.(E) Juges 18:26 Et les fils de Dan continuèrent leur route. Und Micha, da er sah, daß sie ihm zu stark waren, wandte er sich um und kam wieder zu seinem Hause.(D) Jdg 18:26 καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Δαν εἰς ὁδὸν αὐτῶν καὶ εἶδεν Μιχαιας ὅτι δυνατώτεροί εἰσιν ὑπὲρ αὐτόν καὶ ἐπόστρεψεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον αὐτοῦ(lxx) Jdg 18:26 Then the children of Dan went their way. And when Micah saw that they were too strong for him, he turned and went back to his house.(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:27 ============ Jdg 18:27 Then they took what Micah had made and the priest who had belonged to him, and came to Laish, to a people quiet and secure, and struck them with the edge of the sword; and they burned the city with fire.(nasb) Jdg 18:27 Sexcenti autem viri tulerunt sacerdotem, et quæ supra diximus: veneruntque in Lais ad populum quiescentem atque securum, et percusserunt eos in ore gladii: urbemque incendio tradiderunt,(vulgate) Jueces 18:27 Y ellos llevando las cosas que había hecho Micaía, juntamente con el sacerdote que tenía, llegaron a Lais, al pueblo reposado y seguro; y los hirieron a filo de espada, y prendieron fuego a la ciudad.(E) Juges 18:27 Ils enlevèrent ainsi ce qu'avait fait Mica et emmenèrent le prêtre qui était à son service, et ils tombèrent sur Laïs, sur un peuple tranquille et en sécurité; ils le passèrent au fil de l'épée, et ils brûlèrent la ville.(F) Jdg 18:27 Sie aber nahmen, was Micha gemacht hatte, und den Priester, den er hatte, und kamen an Lais, an ein stilles, sicheres Volk, und schlugen es mit der Schärfe des Schwerts und verbrannten die Stadt mit Feuer.(D) Jdg 18:27 καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Δαν ἔλαβον ὃ ἐποίησεν Μιχαιας καὶ τὸν ἱερέα ὃς ἦν αὐτῷ καὶ ἦλθον ἐπὶ Λαισα ἐπὶ λαὸν ἡσυχάζοντα καὶ πεποιθότα ἐπ᾽ ἐλπίδι καὶ ἐπάταξαν αὐτοὺς ἐν στόματι ῥομφαίας καὶ τὴν πόλιν ἐνέπρησαν ἐν πυρί(lxx) Jdg 18:27 So they took the things Micah had made, and the priest who had belonged to him, and went to Laish, to a people quiet and secure; and they struck them with the edge of the sword and burned the city with fire.(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:28 ============ Jdg 18:28 And there was no one to deliver them, because it was far from Sidon and they had no dealings with anyone, and it was in the valley which is near Beth-rehob. And they rebuilt the city and lived in it.(nasb) Jdg 18:28 nullo penitus ferente præsidium, eo quod procul habitarent a Sidone, et cum nullo hominum haberent quidquam societatis ac negotii. Erat autem civitas sita in regione Rohob: quam rursum exstruentes habitaverunt in ea,(vulgate) Jueces 18:28 Y no [hubo] quien los defendiese, porque estaban lejos de Sidón, y no tenían comercio con nadie. Y la ciudad estaba en el valle que hay en Bet-rehob. Luego reedificaron la ciudad, y habitaron en ella.(E) Juges 18:28 Personne ne la délivra, car elle était éloignée de Sidon, et ses habitants n'avaient pas de liaison avec d'autres hommes: elle était dans la vallée qui s'étend vers Beth-Rehob. Les fils de Dan rebâtirent la ville, et y habitèrent;(F) Jdg 18:28 Und war niemand, der sie errettete; denn sie lag fern von Sidon, und sie hatten mit den Leuten nichts zu schaffen; und sie lag im Grunde, welcher an Beth-Rehob liegt. Da bauten sie die Stadt und wohnten darin(D) Jdg 18:28 καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ ῥυόμενος ὅτι μακράν ἐστιν ἀπὸ Σιδωνίων καὶ λόγος οὐκ ἔστιν αὐτοῖς μετὰ ἀνθρώπου καὶ αὐτὴ ἐν τῇ κοιλάδι τοῦ οἴκου Ρααβ καὶ ᾠκοδόμησαν τὴν πόλιν καὶ κατεσκήνωσαν ἐν αὐτῇ(lxx) Jdg 18:28 There was no deliverer, because it was far from Sidon, and they had no ties with anyone. It was in the valley that belongs to Beth Rehob. So they rebuilt the city and dwelt there.(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:29 ============ Jdg 18:29 They called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father who was born in Israel; however, the name of the city formerly was Laish.(nasb) Jdg 18:29 vocato nomine civitatis Dan, juxta vocabulum patris sui, quem genuerat Israël, quæ prius Lais dicebatur.(vulgate) Jueces 18:29 Y llamaron el nombre de aquella ciudad Dan, conforme al nombre de Dan su padre, hijo de Israel, bien que antes se llamaba la ciudad Lais.(E) Juges 18:29 ils l'appelèrent Dan, d'après le nom de Dan, leur père, qui était né à Israël; mais la ville s'appelait auparavant Laïs.(F) Jdg 18:29 und nannten sie Dan nach dem Namen ihres Vaters Dan, der Israel geboren war. (Und die Stadt hieß vorzeiten Lais.)(D) Jdg 18:29 καὶ ἐκάλεσαν τὸ ὄνομα τῆς πόλεως Δαν ἐν ὀνόματι Δαν πατρὸς αὐτῶν ὃς ἐτέχθη τῷ Ισραηλ καὶ Ουλαμαις τὸ ὄνομα τῆς πόλεως τὸ πρότερον(lxx) Jdg 18:29 And they called the name of the city Dan, after the name of Dan their father, who was born to Israel. However, the name of the city formerly was Laish.(nkjv) ======= Judges 18:30 ============ Jdg 18:30 The sons of Dan set up for themselves the graven image; and Jonathan, the son of Gershom, the son of Manasseh, he and his sons were priests to the tribe of the Danites until the day of the captivity of the land.(nasb) Jdg 18:30 Posueruntque sibi sculptile, et Jonathan filium Gersam filii Moysi ac filios ejus sacerdotes in tribu Dan, usque ad diem captivitatis suæ.(vulgate) Jueces 18:30 Y los hijos de Dan se levantaron la imagen de talla; y Jonatán, hijo de Gersón, hijo de Manasés, él y sus hijos fueron sacerdotes en la tribu de Dan, hasta el día del cautiverio de la tierra.(E) Juges 18:30 Ils dressèrent pour eux l'image taillée; et Jonathan, fils de Guerschom, fils de Manassé, lui et ses fils, furent prêtres pour la tribu des Danites, jusqu'à l'époque de la captivité du pays.(F) Jdg 18:30 Und die Kinder Dan richteten für sich auf das Bild.
