Today's Date: ======= 2 Chronicles 9:1 ============ 2Ch 9:1 Now when the queen of Sheba heard of the fame of Solomon, she came to Jerusalem to test Solomon with difficult questions. She had a very large retinue, with camels carrying spices and a large amount of gold and precious stones; and when she came to Solomon, she spoke with him about all that was on her heart.(nasb) 2Ch 9:1 Regina quoque Saba, cum audisset famam Salomonis, venit ut tentaret eum in ænigmatibus in Jerusalem, cum magnis opibus et camelis, qui portabant aromata, et auri plurimum, gemmasque pretiosas. Cumque venisset ad Salomonem, locuta est ei quæcumque erant in corde suo.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 9:1 Y oyendo la reina de Seba la fama de Salomón, vino a Jerusalén con un séquito muy grande, con camellos cargados de especias aromáticas, y oro en abundancia, y piedras preciosas, para probar a Salomón con preguntas difíciles. And behold, the half of the greatness of your wisdom was not told me. You surpass the report that I heard.(nasb) 2Ch 9:6 Non credebam narrantibus donec ipsa venissem, et vidissent oculi mei, et probassem vix medietatem sapientiæ tuæ mihi fuisse narratam: vicisti famam virtutibus tuis.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 9:6 Mas yo no creía las palabras de ellos, hasta que he venido, y mis ojos han visto; y he aquí que ni aun la mitad de la grandeza de tu sabiduría me había sido dicha; [porque] tú sobrepasas la fama que yo había oído.(E) 2 Chroniques 9:6 Je ne croyais pas ce qu'on en disait, avant d'être venue et d'avoir vu de mes yeux. Et voici, on ne m'a pas raconté la moitié de la grandeur de ta sagesse. Tu surpasses ce que la renommée m'a fait connaître.(F) 2Ch 9:6 Ich wollte aber ihren Worten nicht glauben, bis ich gekommmen bin und habe es mit meinen Augen gesehen. Und siehe, es ist mir nicht die Hälfte gesagt deiner großen Weisheit. Es ist mehr an dir denn das Gerücht, das ich gehört habe.(D) 2Ch 9:6 καὶ οὐκ ἐπίστευσα τοῖς λόγοις ἕως οὗ ἦλθον καὶ εἶδον οἱ ὀφθαλμοί μου καὶ ἰδοὺ οὐκ ἀπηγγέλη μοι ἥμισυ τοῦ πλήθους τῆς σοφίας σου προσέθηκας ἐπὶ τὴν ἀκοήν ἣν ἤκουσα(lxx) 2Ch 9:6 However I did not believe their words until I came and saw with my own eyes; and indeed the half of the greatness of your wisdom was not told me. You exceed the fame of which I heard.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 9:7 ============ 2Ch 9:7 How blessed are your men, how blessed are these your servants who stand before you continually and hear your wisdom.(nasb) 2Ch 9:7 Beati viri tui, et beati servi tui, qui assistunt coram te omni tempore, et audiunt sapientiam tuam.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 9:7 Bienaventurados tus hombres, y dichosos estos tus siervos, que están siempre delante de ti, y oyen tu sabiduría.(E) 2 Chroniques 9:7 Heureux tes gens, heureux tes serviteurs, qui sont continuellement devant toi et qui entendent ta sagesse!(F) 2Ch 9:7 Selig sind deine Männer und selig diese deine Knechte, die allewege vor dir stehen und deine Weisheit hören.(D) 2Ch 9:7 μακάριοι οἱ ἄνδρες μακάριοι οἱ παῖδές σου οὗτοι οἱ παρεστηκότες σοι διὰ παντὸς καὶ ἀκούουσιν σοφίαν σου(lxx) 2Ch 9:7 Happy are your men and happy are these your servants, who stand continually before you and hear your wisdom!(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 9:8 ============ 2Ch 9:8 Blessed be the Lord your God who delighted in you, setting you on His throne as king for the Lord your God; because your God loved Israel establishing them forever, therefore He made you king over them, to do justice and righteousness."(nasb) 2Ch 9:8 Sit Dominus Deus tuus benedictus, qui voluit te ordinare super thronum suum, regem Domini Dei tui. Quia diligit Deus Israël, et vult servare eum in æternum, idcirco posuit te super eum regem ut facias judicia atque justitiam.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 9:8 Jehová tu Dios sea bendito, el cual se ha agradado en ti para ponerte sobre su trono por rey para Jehová tu Dios; por cuanto tu Dios amó a Israel para afirmarlo perpetuamente, por eso te ha puesto por rey sobre ellos, para que hagas juicio y justicia.(E) 2 Chroniques 9:8 Béni soit l'Eternel, ton Dieu, qui t'a accordé la faveur de te placer sur son trône comme roi pour l'Eternel, ton Dieu! C'est parce que ton Dieu aime Israël et veut le faire subsister à toujours, qu'il t'a établi roi sur lui pour que tu fasses droit et justice.(F) 2Ch 9:8 Der HERR, dein Gott, sei gelobt, der dich liebhat, daß er dich auf seinen Stuhl zum König gesetzt hat dem HERRN, deinem Gott. Das macht, dein Gott hat Israel lieb, daß er es ewiglich aufrichte; darum hat er dich über sie zum König gesetzt, daß du Recht und Redlichkeit handhabest.(D) 2Ch 9:8 ἔστω κύριος ὁ θεός σου ηὐλογημένος ὃς ἠθέλησέν σοι τοῦ δοῦναί σε ἐπὶ θρόνον αὐτοῦ εἰς βασιλέα τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ σου ἐν τῷ ἀγαπῆσαι κύριον τὸν θεόν σου τὸν Ισραηλ τοῦ στῆσαι αὐτὸν εἰς αἰῶνα καὶ ἔδωκέν σε ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς εἰς βασιλέα τοῦ ποιῆσαι κρίμα καὶ δικαιοσύνην(lxx) 2Ch 9:8 Blessed be the Lord your God, who delighted in you, setting you on His throne to be king for the Lord your God! Because your God has loved Israel, to establish them forever, therefore He made you king over them, to do justice and righteousness."(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 9:9 ============ 2Ch 9:9 Then she gave the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold and a very great amount of spices and precious stones; there had never been spice like that which the queen of Sheba gave to King Solomon.(nasb) 2Ch 9:9 Dedit autem regi centum viginti talenta auri, et aromata multa nimis, et gemmas pretiosissimas: non fuerunt aromata talia, ut hæc quæ dedit regina Saba regi Salomoni.~(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 9:9 Y dio al rey ciento veinte talentos de oro, y gran cantidad de especias aromáticas y piedras preciosas; nunca hubo tales especias aromáticas como las que dio la reina de Seba al rey Salomón.(E) 2 Chroniques 9:9 Elle donna au roi cent vingt talents d'or, une très grande quantité d'aromates et des pierres précieuses. Es waren vormals nie gesehen solche Hölzer im Lande Juda.(D) 2Ch 9:11 καὶ ἐποίησεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τὰ ξύλα τὰ πεύκινα ἀναβάσεις τῷ οἴκῳ κυρίου καὶ τῷ οἴκῳ τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ κιθάρας καὶ νάβλας τοῖς ᾠδοῖς καὶ οὐκ ὤφθησαν τοιαῦτα ἔμπροσθεν ἐν γῇ Ιουδα(lxx) 2Ch 9:11 And the king made walkways of the algum wood for the house of the Lord and for the king's house, also harps and stringed instruments for singers; and there were none such as these seen before in the land of Judah.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 9:12 ============ 2Ch 9:12 King Solomon gave to the queen of Sheba all her desire which she requested besides a return for what she had brought to the king. Then she turned and went to her own land with her servants.(nasb) 2Ch 9:12 Rex autem Salomon dedit reginæ Saba cuncta quæ voluit, et quæ postulavit, et multo plura quam attulerat ad eum: quæ reversa abiit in terram suam cum servis suis.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 9:12 Y el rey Salomón dio a la reina de Seba todo lo que ella quiso y le pidió, más de lo [que] ella había traído al rey.
