Today's Date: ======= Hosea 11:1 ============ Hos 11:1 When Israel was a youth I loved him, And out of Egypt I called My son.(nasb) Hos 11:1 [Sicut mane transiit, pertransiit rex Israël. Quia puer Israël, et dilexi eum; et ex Ægypto vocavi filium meum.(vulgate) Oseas 11:1 Cuando Israel [era] muchacho, yo lo amé, y de Egipto llamé a mi hijo.(E) Osée 11:1 Quand Israël était jeune, je l'aimais, Et j'appelai mon fils hors d'Egypte.(F) Hos 11:1 Da Israel jung war, hatte ich ihn lieb und rief ihn, meinen Sohn, aus Ägypten.(D) Hos 11:1 διότι νήπιος Ισραηλ καὶ ἐγὼ ἠγάπησα αὐτὸν καὶ ἐξ Αἰγύπτου μετεκάλεσα τὰ τέκνα αὐτοῦ(lxx) Hos 11:1 "When Israel was a child, I loved him, And out of Egypt I called My son.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 11:2 ============ Hos 11:2 The more they called them, The more they went from them; They kept sacrificing to the Baals And burning incense to idols.(nasb) Hos 11:2 Vocaverunt eos, sic abierunt a facie eorum; Baalim immolabant, et simulacris sacrificabant.(vulgate) Oseas 11:2 Cuanto más los llamaban, así ellos se iban de su presencia; a los Baales sacrificaban, y a los ídolos quemaban incienso.(E) Osée 11:2 Mais ils se sont éloignés de ceux qui les appelaient; Ils ont sacrifié aux Baals, Et offert de l'encens aux idoles.(F) Hos 11:2 Aber wenn man sie jetzt ruft, so wenden sie sich davon und opfern den Baalim und räuchern den Bildern.(D) Hos 11:2 καθὼς μετεκάλεσα αὐτούς οὕτως ἀπῴχοντο ἐκ προσώπου μου αὐτοὶ τοῖς Βααλιμ ἔθυον καὶ τοῖς γλυπτοῖς ἐθυμίων(lxx) Hos 11:2 As they called them, So they went from them; They sacrificed to the Baals, And burned incense to carved images.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 11:3 ============ Hos 11:3 Yet it is I who taught Ephraim to walk, I took them in My arms; But they did not know that I healed them.(nasb) Hos 11:3 Et ego quasi nutritius Ephraim: portabam eos in brachiis meis, et nescierunt quod curarem eos.(vulgate) Oseas 11:3 Yo con todo enseñé a caminar a Efraín, tomándolo de los brazos; y no conocieron que yo los cuidaba.(E) Osée 11:3 C'est moi qui guidai les pas d'Ephraïm, Le soutenant par ses bras; Et ils n'ont pas vu que je les guérissais.(F) Hos 11:3 Ich nahm Ephraim bei seinen Armen und leitete ihn; aber sie merkten es nicht, wie ich ihnen half.(D) Hos 11:3 καὶ ἐγὼ συνεπόδισα τὸν Εφραιμ ἀνέλαβον αὐτὸν ἐπὶ τὸν βραχίονά μου καὶ οὐκ ἔγνωσαν ὅτι ἴαμαι αὐτούς(lxx) Hos 11:3 "I taught Ephraim to walk, Taking them by their arms; But they did not know that I healed them.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 11:4 ============ Hos 11:4 I led them with cords of a man, with bonds of love, And I became to them as one who lifts the yoke from their jaws; And I bent down and fed them.(nasb) Hos 11:4 In funiculis Adam traham eos, in vinculis caritatis; et ero eis quasi exaltans jugum super maxillas eorum, et declinavi ad eum ut vesceretur.(vulgate) Oseas 11:4 Con cuerdas de hombre los atraje, con cuerdas de amor; y fui para ellos como los que alzan el yugo de sobre su cerviz, y puse comida delante de ellos.(E) Osée 11:4 Je les tirai avec des liens d'humanité, avec des cordages d'amour, Je fus pour eux comme celui qui aurait relâché le joug près de leur bouche, Et je leur présentai de la nourriture.(F) Hos 11:4 Ich ließ sie ein menschlich Joch ziehen und in Seilen der Liebe gehen und half ihnen das Joch an ihrem Hals tragen und gab ihnen Futter.(D) Hos 11:4 ἐν διαφθορᾷ ἀνθρώπων ἐξέτεινα αὐτοὺς ἐν δεσμοῖς ἀγαπήσεώς μου καὶ ἔσομαι αὐτοῖς ὡς ῥαπίζων ἄνθρωπος ἐπὶ τὰς σιαγόνας αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπιβλέψομαι πρὸς αὐτόν δυνήσομαι αὐτῷ(lxx) Hos 11:4 I drew them with gentle cords, With bands of love, And I was to them as those who take the yoke from their neck. I stooped and fed them.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 11:5 ============ Hos 11:5 They will not return to the land of Egypt; But Assyria--he will be their king Because they refused to return to Me.(nasb) Hos 11:5 Non revertetur in terram Ægypti, et Assur ipse rex ejus, quoniam noluerunt converti.(vulgate) Oseas 11:5 No volverá a la tierra de Egipto, sino que el asirio será su rey, porque no se quisieron convertir.(E) Osée 11:5 Ils ne retourneront pas au pays d'Egypte; Mais l'Assyrien sera leur roi, Parce qu'ils ont refusé de revenir à moi.(F) Hos 11:5 Sie sollen nicht wieder nach Ägyptenland kommen, sondern Assur soll nun ihr König sein; denn sie wollen sich nicht bekehren.(D) Hos 11:5 κατῴκησεν Εφραιμ ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ καὶ Ασσουρ αὐτὸς βασιλεὺς αὐτοῦ ὅτι οὐκ ἠθέλησεν ἐπιστρέψαι(lxx) Hos 11:5 "He shall not return to the land of Egypt; But the Assyrian shall be his king, Because they refused to repent.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 11:6 ============ Hos 11:6 The sword will whirl against their cities, And will demolish their gate bars And consume them because of their counsels.(nasb) Hos 11:6 Cœpit gladius in civitatibus ejus, et consumet electos ejus, et comedet capita eorum.(vulgate) Oseas 11:6 Y caerá espada sobre sus ciudades, y consumirá sus aldeas; las consumirá a causa de sus propios consejos.(E) Osée 11:6 L'épée fondra sur leurs villes, Anéantira, dévorera leurs soutiens, A cause des desseins qu'ils ont eus.(F) Hos 11:6 Darum soll das Schwert über ihre Städte kommen und soll ihre Riegel aufreiben und fressen um ihres Vornehmens willen.(D) Hos 11:6 καὶ ἠσθένησεν ῥομφαία ἐν ταῖς πόλεσιν αὐτοῦ καὶ κατέπαυσεν ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτοῦ καὶ φάγονται ἐκ τῶν διαβουλίων αὐτῶν(lxx) Hos 11:6 And the sword shall slash in his cities, Devour his districts, And consume them, Because of their own counsels.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 11:7 ============ Hos 11:7 So My people are bent on turning from Me. Though they call them to the One on high, None at all exalts Him.(nasb) Hos 11:7 Et populus meus pendebit ad reditum meum; jugum autem imponetur eis simul, quod non auferetur.(vulgate) Oseas 11:7 Entre tanto, mi pueblo está inclinado a rebelarse contra mí; aunque ellos invocan al Altísimo, ninguno absolutamente quiere enaltecerle.(E) Osée 11:7 Mon peuple est enclin à s'éloigner de moi; On les rappelle vers le Très-Haut, Mais aucun d'eux ne l'exalte.(F) Hos 11:7 Mein Volk ist müde, sich zu mir zu kehren; und wenn man ihnen predigt, so richtet sich keiner auf.(D) Hos 11:7 καὶ ὁ λαὸς αὐτοῦ ἐπικρεμάμενος ἐκ τῆς κατοικίας αὐτοῦ καὶ ὁ θεὸς ἐπὶ τὰ τίμια αὐτοῦ θυμωθήσεται καὶ οὐ μὴ ὑψώσῃ αὐτόν(lxx) Hos 11:7 My people are bent on backsliding from Me. Though they call to the Most High, None at all exalt Him.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 11:8 ============ Hos 11:8 How can I give you up, O Ephraim? How can I surrender you, O Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I treat you like Zeboiim? My heart is turned over within Me, All My compassions are kindled.(nasb) Hos 11:8 Quomodo dabo te, Ephraim? protegam te, Israël? Quomodo dabo te sicut Adama, ponam te ut Seboim? Conversum est in me cor meum, pariter conturbata est pœnitudo mea.(vulgate) Oseas 11:8 ¿Cómo he de dejarte, oh Efraín? ¿He de entregarte yo, Israel? ¿Cómo podré yo hacerte como Adma, o ponerte como a Zeboim? Mi corazón se conmueve dentro de mí, se inflama toda mi compasión.(E) Osée 11:8 Que ferai-je de toi, Ephraïm? Dois-je te livrer, Israël? Te traiterai-je comme Adma? Te rendrai-je semblable à Tseboïm? Mon coeur s'agite au dedans de moi, Toutes mes compassions sont émues.(F) Hos 11:8 Was soll ich aus dir machen, Ephraim? Soll ich dich schützen, Israel? Soll ich nicht billig ein Adama aus dir machen und dich wie Zeboim zurichten? Aber mein Herz ist andern Sinnes, meine Barmherzigkeit ist zu brünstig,(D) Hos 11:8 τί σε διαθῶ Εφραιμ ὑπερασπιῶ σου Ισραηλ τί σε διαθῶ ὡς Αδαμα θήσομαί σε καὶ ὡς Σεβωιμ μετεστράφη ἡ καρδία μου ἐν τῷ αὐτῷ συνεταράχθη ἡ μεταμέλειά μου(lxx) Hos 11:8 "How can I give you up, Ephraim? How can I hand you over, Israel? How can I make you like Admah? How can I set you like Zeboiim? My heart churns within Me; My sympathy is stirred.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 11:9 ============ Hos 11:9 I will not execute My fierce anger; I will not destroy Ephraim again. For I am God and not man, the Holy One in your midst, And I will not come in wrath.(nasb) Hos 11:9 Non faciam furorem iræ meæ; non convertar ut disperdam Ephraim, quoniam Deus ego, et non homo; in medio tui sanctus, et non ingrediar civitatem.(vulgate) Oseas 11:9 No ejecutaré el furor de mi ira, no volveré para destruir a Efraín; porque Dios soy, y no hombre; el Santo en medio de ti; y no entraré en la ciudad.(E) Osée 11:9 Je n'agirai pas selon mon ardente colère, Je renonce à détruire Ephraïm; Car je suis Dieu, et non pas un homme, Je suis le Saint au milieu de toi; Je ne viendrai pas avec colère.(F) Hos 11:9 daß ich nicht tun will nach meinem grimmigen Zorn, noch mich kehren, Ephraim gar zu verderben. Denn ich bin Gott und nicht ein Mensch und bin der Heilige unter dir; ich will aber nicht in die Stadt kommen.(D) Hos 11:9 οὐ μὴ ποιήσω κατὰ τὴν ὀργὴν τοῦ θυμοῦ μου οὐ μὴ ἐγκαταλίπω τοῦ ἐξαλειφθῆναι τὸν Εφραιμ διότι θεὸς ἐγώ εἰμι καὶ οὐκ ἄνθρωπος ἐν σοὶ ἅγιος καὶ οὐκ εἰσελεύσομαι εἰς πόλιν(lxx) Hos 11:9 I will not execute the fierceness of My anger; I will not again destroy Ephraim. For I am God, and not man, The Holy One in your midst; And I will not come with terror.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 11:10 ============ Hos 11:10 They will walk after the Lord, He will roar like a lion; Indeed He will roar And His sons will come trembling from the west.(nasb) Hos 11:10 Post Dominum ambulabunt; quasi leo rugiet, quia ipse rugiet, et formidabunt filii maris.(vulgate) Oseas 11:10 En pos de Jehová caminarán; Él rugirá como león, de cierto rugirá; y los hijos vendrán temblando desde el occidente.(E) Osée 11:10 Ils suivront l'Eternel, qui rugira comme un lion, Car il rugira, et les enfants accourront de la mer.(F) Hos 11:10 Alsdann wird man dem HERRN nachfolgen, und er wird brüllen wie ein Löwe; und wenn er wird brüllen, so werden erschrocken kommen die Kinder, so gegen Abend sind.(D) Hos 11:10 ὀπίσω κυρίου πορεύσομαι ὡς λέων ἐρεύξεται ὅτι αὐτὸς ὠρύσεται καὶ ἐκστήσονται τέκνα ὑδάτων(lxx) Hos 11:10 "They shall walk after the Lord. He will roar like a lion. When He roars, Then His sons shall come trembling from the west;(nkjv) ======= Hosea 11:11 ============ Hos 11:11 They will come trembling like birds from Egypt And like doves from the land of Assyria; And I will settle them in their houses, declares the Lord.(nasb) Hos 11:11 Et avolabunt quasi avis ex Ægypto, et quasi columba de terra Assyriorum: et collocabo eos in domibus suis, dicit Dominus.]~(vulgate) Oseas 11:11 De Egipto vendrán temblando como ave, y como paloma, de la tierra de Asiria; y yo los pondré en sus casas, dice Jehová.(E) Osée 11:11 Ils accourront de l'Egypte, comme un oiseau, Et du pays d'Assyrie, comme une colombe. Et je les ferai habiter dans leurs maisons, dit l'Eternel.(F) Hos 11:11 Und die in Ägypten werden auch erschrocken kommen wie die Vögel, und die im Lande Assur wie Tauben; und ich will sie in ihre Häuser setzen, spricht der HERR.(D) Hos 11:11 καὶ ἐκστήσονται ὡς ὄρνεον ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ὡς περιστερὰ ἐκ γῆς Ἀσσυρίων καὶ ἀποκαταστήσω αὐτοὺς εἰς τοὺς οἴκους αὐτῶν λέγει κύριος(lxx) Hos 11:11 They shall come trembling like a bird from Egypt, Like a dove from the land of Assyria. And I will let them dwell in their houses," Says the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 11:12 ============ Hos 11:12 Ephraim surrounds Me with lies And the house of Israel with deceit; Judah is also unruly against God, Even against the Holy One who is faithful.(nasb) Hos 11:12 [Circumdedit me in negatione Ephraim, et in dolo domus Israël; Judas autem testis descendit cum Deo, et cum sanctis fidelis.](vulgate) Oseas 11:12 Efraín me ha rodeado con mentira, y la casa de Israel con engaño; mas Judá aún gobierna con Dios, y es fiel con los santos.(E) Osée 11:12 Ephraïm m'entoure de mensonge, Et la maison d'Israël de tromperie; Juda est encore sans frein vis-à-vis de Dieu, Vis-à-vis du Saint fidèle.(F) Hos 11:12 In Ephraim ist allenthalben Lügen wider mich und im Hause Israel falscher Gottesdienst. Aber auch Juda hält nicht fest an Gott und an dem Heiligen, der treu ist.(D) Hos 11:12 ἐκύκλωσέν με ἐν ψεύδει Εφραιμ καὶ ἐν ἀσεβείαις οἶκος Ισραηλ καὶ Ιουδα νῦν ἔγνω αὐτοὺς ὁ θεός καὶ λαὸς ἅγιος κεκλήσεται θεοῦ(lxx) Hos 11:12 "Ephraim has encircled Me with lies, And the house of Israel with deceit; But Judah still walks with God, Even with the Holy One who is faithful.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 12:1 ============ top of the page
