Today's Date: ======= Haggai 2:1 ============ Hag 2:1 On the twenty-first of the seventh month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet saying,(nasb) Hag 2:1 In septimo mense, vigesima et prima mensis, factum est verbum Domini in manu Aggæi prophetæ, dicens:(vulgate) Haggeo 2:1 En el [mes] séptimo, a los veintiún [días] del mes, vino palabra de Jehová por medio del profeta Hageo, diciendo:(E) Aggée 2:1 Le vingt et unième jour du septième mois, la parole de l'Eternel se révéla par Aggée, le prophète, en ces mots:(F) Hag 2:1 Am einundzwanzigsten Tage des siebenten Monats geschah des HERRN Wort durch den Propheten Haggai und sprach:(D) Hag 2:1 τῷ ἑβδόμῳ μηνὶ μιᾷ καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνὸς ἐλάλησεν κύριος ἐν χειρὶ Αγγαιου τοῦ προφήτου λέγων(lxx) Hag 2:1 In the seventh month, on the twenty-first of the month, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying:(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:2 ============ Hag 2:2 "Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people saying,(nasb) Hag 2:2 Loquere ad Zorobabel, filium Salathiel, ducem Juda, et ad Jesum, filium Josedec, sacerdotem magnum, et ad reliquos populi, dicens:(vulgate) Haggeo 2:2 Habla ahora a Zorobabel, hijo de Salatiel, gobernador de Judá, y a Josué, hijo de Josadac, el sumo sacerdote, y al resto del pueblo, diciendo:(E) Aggée 2:2 Parle à Zorobabel, fils de Schealthiel, gouverneur de Juda, à Josué, fils de Jotsadak, le souverain sacrificateur, et au reste du peuple, et dis-leur:(F) Hag 2:2 Sage zu Serubabel, dem Sohn Sealthiels, dem Fürsten Juda's, und zu Josua, dem Sohn Jozadaks, dem Hohenpriester, und zum übrigen Volk und sprich:(D) Hag 2:2 εἰπὸν δὴ πρὸς Ζοροβαβελ τὸν τοῦ Σαλαθιηλ ἐκ φυλῆς Ιουδα καὶ πρὸς Ἰησοῦν τὸν τοῦ Ιωσεδεκ τὸν ἱερέα τὸν μέγαν καὶ πρὸς πάντας τοὺς καταλοίπους τοῦ λαοῦ λέγων(lxx) Hag 2:2 "Speak now to Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, governor of Judah, and to Joshua the son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and to the remnant of the people, saying:(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:3 ============ Hag 2:3 'Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? Does it not seem to you like nothing in comparison?(nasb) Hag 2:3 [Quis in vobis est derelictus, qui vidit domum istam in gloria sua prima? et quid vos videtis hanc nunc? numquid non ita est, quasi non sit in oculis vestris?(vulgate) Haggeo 2:3 ¿Quién ha quedado entre vosotros que haya visto esta casa en su primera gloria? ¿Y cómo la veis ahora? ¿No [es] ella como nada delante de vuestros ojos?(E) Aggée 2:3 Quel est parmi vous le survivant Qui ait vu cette maison dans sa gloire première? Et comment la voyez-vous maintenant? Telle qu'elle est, ne paraît-elle pas comme rien à vos yeux?(F) Hag 2:3 Wer ist unter euch übriggeblieben, der dies Haus in seiner vorigen Herrlichkeit gesehen hat? und wie seht ihr's nun an? Ist's nicht also, es dünkt euch nichts zu sein?(D) Hag 2:3 τίς ἐξ ὑμῶν ὃς εἶδεν τὸν οἶκον τοῦτον ἐν τῇ δόξῃ αὐτοῦ τῇ ἔμπροσθεν καὶ πῶς ὑμεῖς βλέπετε αὐτὸν νῦν καθὼς οὐχ ὑπάρχοντα ἐνώπιον ὑμῶν(lxx) Hag 2:3 'Who is left among you who saw this temple in its former glory? And how do you see it now? In comparison with it, is this not in your eyes as nothing?(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:4 ============ Hag 2:4 But now take courage, Zerubbabel, 'declares the Lord, 'take courage also, Joshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest, and all you people of the land take courage, 'declares the Lord, 'and work; for I am with you,' declares the Lord of hosts.(nasb) Hag 2:4 Et nunc confortare, Zorobabel, dicit Dominus; et confortare, Jesu, fili Josedec, sacerdos magne; et confortare, omnis populus terræ, dicit Dominus exercituum: et facite (quoniam ego vobiscum sum, dicit Dominus exercituum)(vulgate) Haggeo 2:4 Pues ahora, Zorobabel, esfuérzate, dice Jehová; esfuérzate también, Josué, hijo de Josadac, el sumo sacerdote; y esforzaos, pueblo todo de la tierra, dice Jehová, y trabajad; porque yo estoy con vosotros, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.(E) Aggée 2:4 Maintenant fortifie-toi, Zorobabel! dit l'Eternel. Fortifie-toi, Josué, fils de Jotsadak, souverain sacrificateur! Fortifie-toi, peuple entier du pays! dit l'Eternel. Et travaillez! Car je suis avec vous, Dit l'Eternel des armées.(F) Hag 2:4 Und nun Serubabel, sei getrost! spricht der HERR; sei getrost, Josua, du Sohn Jozadaks, du Hoherpriester! sei getrost alles Volk im Lande! spricht der HERR, und arbeitet! denn ich bin mit euch, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.(D) Hag 2:4 καὶ νῦν κατίσχυε Ζοροβαβελ λέγει κύριος καὶ κατίσχυε Ἰησοῦ ὁ τοῦ Ιωσεδεκ ὁ ἱερεὺς ὁ μέγας καὶ κατισχυέτω πᾶς ὁ λαὸς τῆς γῆς λέγει κύριος καὶ ποιεῖτε διότι μεθ᾽ ὑμῶν ἐγώ εἰμι λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ(lxx) Hag 2:4 Yet now be strong, Zerubbabel,' says the Lord; 'and be strong, Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest; and be strong, all you people of the land,' says the Lord, 'and work; for I am with you,' says the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:5 ============ Hag 2:5 'As for the promise which I made you when you came out of Egypt, My Spirit is abiding in your midst; do not fear!'(nasb) Hag 2:5 verbum quod pepigi vobiscum cum egrederemini de terra Ægypti: et spiritus meus erit in medio vestrum: nolite timere.(vulgate) Haggeo 2:5 [Según] el pacto que hice con vosotros cuando salisteis de Egipto, así mi Espíritu estará en medio de vosotros: no temáis.(E) Aggée 2:5 Je reste fidèle à l'alliance que j'ai faite avec vous Quand vous sortîtes de l'Egypte, Et mon esprit est au milieu de vous; Ne craignez pas!(F) Hag 2:5 Nach dem Wort, da ich mit euch einen Bund machte, da ihr aus Ägypten zogt, soll mein Geist unter euch bleiben. Fürchtet euch nicht!(D) Hag 2:5 καὶ τὸ πνεῦμά μου ἐφέστηκεν ἐν μέσῳ ὑμῶν θαρσεῖτε(lxx) Hag 2:5 'According to the word that I covenanted with you when you came out of Egypt, so My Spirit remains among you; do not fear!'(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:6 ============ Hag 2:6 For thus says the Lord of hosts, 'Once more in a little while, I am going to shake the heavens and the earth, the sea also and the dry land.(nasb) Hag 2:6 Quia hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Adhuc unum modicum est, et ego commovebo cælum, et terram, et mare, et aridam.(vulgate) Haggeo 2:6 Porque así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: De aquí a poco aún yo haré temblar los cielos y la tierra, y el mar y la [tierra] seca;(E) Aggée 2:6 Car ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Encore un peu de temps, Et j'ébranlerai les cieux et la terre, La mer et le sec;(F) Hag 2:6 Denn so spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Es ist noch ein kleines dahin, daß ich Himmel und Erde, das Meer und das Trockene bewegen werde.(D) Hag 2:6 διότι τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἔτι ἅπαξ ἐγὼ σείσω τὸν οὐρανὸν καὶ τὴν γῆν καὶ τὴν θάλασσαν καὶ τὴν ξηράν(lxx) Hag 2:6 "For thus says the Lord of hosts: 'Once more (it is a little while) I will shake heaven and earth, the sea and dry land;(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:7 ============ Hag 2:7 I will shake all the nations; and they will come with the wealth of all nations, and I will fill this house with glory, 'says the Lord of hosts.(nasb) Hag 2:7 Et movebo omnes gentes, et veniet desideratus cunctis gentibus: et implebo domum istam gloria, dicit Dominus exercituum.(vulgate) Haggeo 2:7 y haré temblar a todas las naciones, y vendrá el Deseado de todas las naciones; y llenaré de gloria esta casa, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.(E) Aggée 2:7 J'ébranlerai toutes les nations; Les trésors de toutes les nations viendront, Et je remplirai de gloire cette maison, Dit l'Eternel des armées.(F) Hag 2:7 Ja, alle Heiden will ich bewegen. Da soll dann kommen aller Heiden Bestes; und ich will dies Haus voll Herrlichkeit machen, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.(D) Hag 2:7 καὶ συσσείσω πάντα τὰ ἔθνη καὶ ἥξει τὰ ἐκλεκτὰ πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν καὶ πλήσω τὸν οἶκον τοῦτον δόξης λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ(lxx) Hag 2:7 and I will shake all nations, and they shall come to the Desire of All Nations, and I will fill this temple with glory,' says the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:8 ============ Hag 2:8 'The silver is Mine and the gold is Mine,' declares the Lord of hosts.(nasb) Hag 2:8 Meum est argentum, et meum est aurum, dicit Dominus exercituum.(vulgate) Haggeo 2:8 Mía [es] la plata, y mío [es] el oro, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.(E) Aggée 2:8 L'argent est à moi, et l'or est à moi, Dit l'Eternel des armées.(F) Hag 2:8 Denn mein ist Silber und Gold, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.(D) Hag 2:8 ἐμὸν τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ ἐμὸν τὸ χρυσίον λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ(lxx) Hag 2:8 'The silver is Mine, and the gold is Mine,' says the Lord of hosts.(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:9 ============ Hag 2:9 'The latter glory of this house will be greater than the former,' says the Lord of hosts, 'and in this place I will give peace,' declares the Lord of hosts."(nasb) Hag 2:9 Magna erit gloria domus istius novissimæ plus quam primæ, dicit Dominus exercituum: et in loco isto dabo pacem, dicit Dominus exercituum.]~(vulgate) Haggeo 2:9 La gloria de esta casa postrera será mayor que la de la primera, dice Jehová de los ejércitos; y daré paz en este lugar, dice Jehová de los ejércitos.(E) Aggée 2:9 La gloire de cette dernière maison sera plus grande Que celle de la première, Dit l'Eternel des armées; Et c'est dans ce lieu que je donnerai la paix, Dit l'Eternel des armées.(F) Hag 2:9 Es soll die Herrlichkeit dieses letzten Hauses größer werden, denn des ersten gewesen ist, spricht der HERR Zebaoth; und ich will Frieden geben an diesem Ort, spricht der HERR Zebaoth.(D) Hag 2:9 διότι μεγάλη ἔσται ἡ δόξα τοῦ οἴκου τούτου ἡ ἐσχάτη ὑπὲρ τὴν πρώτην λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ καὶ ἐν τῷ τόπῳ τούτῳ δώσω εἰρήνην λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ καὶ εἰρήνην ψυχῆς εἰς περιποίησιν παντὶ τῷ κτίζοντι τοῦ ἀναστῆσαι τὸν ναὸν τοῦτον(lxx) Hag 2:9 The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,' says the Lord of hosts. 'And in this place I will give peace,' says the Lord of hosts."(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:10 ============ Hag 2:10 On the twenty-fourth of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came to Haggai the prophet, saying,(nasb) Hag 2:10 In vigesima et quarta noni mensis, in anno secundo Darii regis, factum est verbum Domini ad Aggæum prophetam, dicens:(vulgate) Haggeo 2:10 El día veinticuatro del noveno [mes], en el segundo año de Darío, vino palabra de Jehová por medio del profeta Hageo, diciendo:(E) Aggée 2:10 le vingt-quatrième jour du neuvième mois, la seconde année de Darius, la parole de l'Eternel se révéla par Aggée, le prophète, en ces mots:(F) Hag 2:10 Am vierundzwanzigsten Tage des neunten Monats, im zweiten Jahr des Darius, geschah des HERRN Wort zu dem Propheten Haggai und sprach:(D) Hag 2:10 τετράδι καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ ἐνάτου μηνὸς ἔτους δευτέρου ἐπὶ Δαρείου ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρὸς Αγγαιον τὸν προφήτην λέγων(lxx) Hag 2:10 On the twenty-fourth day of the ninth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the Lord came by Haggai the prophet, saying,(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:11 ============ Hag 2:11 "Thus says the Lord of hosts, 'Ask now the priests for a ruling:(nasb) Hag 2:11 Hæc dicit Dominus exercituum: Interroga sacerdotes legem, dicens:(vulgate) Haggeo 2:11 Así dice Jehová de los ejércitos: Pregunta ahora a los sacerdotes [acerca] de la ley, diciendo:(E) Aggée 2:11 Ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Propose aux sacrificateurs cette question sur la loi:(F) Hag 2:11 So spricht der HERR Zebaoth: Frage die Priester um das Gesetz und sprich:(D) Hag 2:11 τάδε λέγει κύριος παντοκράτωρ ἐπερώτησον τοὺς ἱερεῖς νόμον λέγων(lxx) Hag 2:11 "Thus says the Lord of hosts: 'Now, ask the priests concerning the law, saying,(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:12 ============ Hag 2:12 If a man carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and touches bread with this fold, or cooked food, wine, oil, or any other food, will it become holy?'" And the priests answered, "No."(nasb) Hag 2:12 Si tulerit homo carnem sanctificatam in ora vestimenti sui, et tetigerit de summitate ejus panem, aut pulmentum, aut vinum, aut oleum, aut omnem cibum, numquid sanctificabitur? Respondentes autem sacerdotes, dixerunt: Non.(vulgate) Haggeo 2:12 Si llevare alguno las carnes santificadas en el extremo de su vestidura, y con el extremo de ella tocare pan, o vianda, o vino, o aceite, o cualquier otra comida, ¿será santificada? Y respondieron los sacerdotes, y dijeron: No.(E) Aggée 2:12 Si quelqu'un porte dans le pan de son vêtement de la chair consacrée, et qu'il touche avec son vêtement du pain, des mets, du vin, de l'huile, ou un aliment quelconque, ces choses seront-elles sanctifiées? Les sacrificateurs répondirent: Non!(F) Hag 2:12 Wenn jemand heiliges Fleisch trüge in seines Kleides Zipfel und rührte darnach an mit seinem Zipfel Brot, Gemüse, Wein, Öl oder was es für Speise wäre: würde es auch heilig? und die Priester antworteten und sprachen: Nein.(D) Hag 2:12 ἐὰν λάβῃ ἄνθρωπος κρέας ἅγιον ἐν τῷ ἄκρῳ τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἅψηται τὸ ἄκρον τοῦ ἱματίου αὐτοῦ ἄρτου ἢ ἑψέματος ἢ οἴνου ἢ ἐλαίου ἢ παντὸς βρώματος εἰ ἁγιασθήσεται καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ εἶπαν οὔ(lxx) Hag 2:12 If one carries holy meat in the fold of his garment, and with the edge he touches bread or stew, wine or oil, or any food, will it become holy?" ' " Then the priests answered and said, "No."(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:13 ============ Hag 2:13 Then Haggai said, "If one who is unclean from a corpse touches any of these, will the latter become unclean?" And the priests answered, "It will become unclean."(nasb) Hag 2:13 Et dixit Aggæus: Si tetigerit pollutus in anima ex omnibus his, numquid contaminabitur? Et responderunt sacerdotes, et dixerunt: Contaminabitur.(vulgate) Haggeo 2:13 Y dijo Hageo: Si un inmundo a causa de cuerpo muerto tocare alguna cosa de éstas, ¿será inmunda? Y respondieron los sacerdotes, y dijeron: Inmunda será.(E) Aggée 2:13 Et Aggée dit: Si quelqu'un souillé par le contact d'un cadavre touche toutes ces choses, seront-elles souillées? Les sacrificateurs répondirent: Elles seront souillées.(F) Hag 2:13 Haggai sprach: Wo aber jemand von einem Toten unrein wäre und deren eines anrührte, würde es auch unrein? Die Priester antworteten und sprachen: Es würde unrein.(D) Hag 2:13 καὶ εἶπεν Αγγαιος ἐὰν ἅψηται μεμιαμμένος ἐπὶ ψυχῇ ἀπὸ παντὸς τούτων εἰ μιανθήσεται καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ εἶπαν μιανθήσεται(lxx) Hag 2:13 And Haggai said, "If one who is unclean because of a dead body touches any of these, will it be unclean?" So the priests answered and said, "It shall be unclean."(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:14 ============ Hag 2:14 Then Haggai said, "'So is this people. And so is this nation before Me,' declares the Lord, 'and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.(nasb) Hag 2:14 Et respondit Aggæus, et dixit: [Sic populus iste, et sic gens ista ante faciem meam, dicit Dominus, et sic omne opus manuum eorum: et omnia quæ obtulerunt ibi, contaminata erunt.(vulgate) Haggeo 2:14 Y respondió Hageo y dijo: Así [es] este pueblo y esta nación delante de mí, dice Jehová; y asimismo toda obra de sus manos; y lo que aquí ofrecen inmundo [es].(E) Aggée 2:14 Alors Aggée, reprenant la parole, dit: Tel est ce peuple, telle est cette nation devant moi, dit l'Eternel, Telles sont toutes les oeuvres de leurs mains; Ce qu'ils m'offrent là est souillé.(F) Hag 2:14 Da antwortete Haggai und sprach: Ebenalso sind dies Volk und diese Leute vor mir auch, spricht der HERR; und all ihrer Hände Werk und was sie opfern ist unrein.(D) Hag 2:14 καὶ ἀπεκρίθη Αγγαιος καὶ εἶπεν οὕτως ὁ λαὸς οὗτος καὶ οὕτως τὸ ἔθνος τοῦτο ἐνώπιον ἐμοῦ λέγει κύριος καὶ οὕτως πάντα τὰ ἔργα τῶν χειρῶν αὐτῶν καὶ ὃς ἐὰν ἐγγίσῃ ἐκεῖ μιανθήσεται ἕνεκεν τῶν λημμάτων αὐτῶν τῶν ὀρθρινῶν ὀδυνηθήσονται ἀπὸ προσώπου πόνων αὐτῶν καὶ ἐμισεῖτε ἐν πύλαις ἐλέγχοντας(lxx) Hag 2:14 Then Haggai answered and said, " 'So is this people, and so is this nation before Me,' says the Lord, 'and so is every work of their hands; and what they offer there is unclean.(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:15 ============ Hag 2:15 But now, do consider from this day onward: before one stone was placed on another in the temple of the Lord,(nasb) Hag 2:15 Et nunc ponite corda vestra a die hac et supra, antequam poneretur lapis super lapidem in templo Domini.(vulgate) Haggeo 2:15 Ahora, pues, Considerad [esto] en vuestro corazón desde este día en adelante, antes que pongáis piedra sobre piedra en el templo de Jehová.(E) Aggée 2:15 Considérez donc attentivement Ce qui s'est passé jusqu'à ce jour, Avant qu'on eût mis pierre sur pierre au temple de l'Eternel!(F) Hag 2:15 Und nun schauet, wie es euch gegangen ist von diesem Tage an und zuvor, ehe denn ein Stein auf den andern gelegt ward am Tempel des HERRN:(D) Hag 2:15 καὶ νῦν θέσθε δὴ εἰς τὰς καρδίας ὑμῶν ἀπὸ τῆς ἡμέρας ταύτης καὶ ὑπεράνω πρὸ τοῦ θεῖναι λίθον ἐπὶ λίθον ἐν τῷ ναῷ κυρίου(lxx) Hag 2:15 'And now, carefully consider from this day forward: from before stone was laid upon stone in the temple of the Lord--(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:16 ============ Hag 2:16 from that time when one came to a grain heap of twenty measures, there would be only ten; and when one came to the wine vat to draw fifty measures, there would be only twenty.(nasb) Hag 2:16 Cum accederetis ad acervum viginti modiorum, et fierent decem; et intraretis ad torcular, ut exprimeretis quinquaginta lagenas, et fiebant viginti.(vulgate) Haggeo 2:16 Antes que fuesen estas cosas, venían al montón de veinte, [y] había diez; venían al lagar para sacar cincuenta [cántaros] del lagar, [y] había veinte.(E) Aggée 2:16 Alors, quand on venait à un tas de vingt mesures, Il n'y en avait que dix; Quand on venait à la cuve pour puiser cinquante mesures, Il n'y en avait que vingt.(F) Hag 2:16 daß, wenn einer zum Kornhaufen kam, der zwanzig Maß haben sollte, so waren kaum zehn da; kam er zur Kelter und meinte fünfzig Eimer zu schöpfen, so waren kaum zwanzig da.(D) Hag 2:16 τίνες ἦτε ὅτε ἐνεβάλλετε εἰς κυψέλην κριθῆς εἴκοσι σάτα καὶ ἐγένετο κριθῆς δέκα σάτα καὶ εἰσεπορεύεσθε εἰς τὸ ὑπολήνιον ἐξαντλῆσαι πεντήκοντα μετρητάς καὶ ἐγένοντο εἴκοσι(lxx) Hag 2:16 since those days, when one came to a heap of twenty ephahs, there were but ten; when one came to the wine vat to draw out fifty baths from the press, there were but twenty.(nkjv) ======= Haggai 2:17 ============ Hag 2:17 I smote you and every work of your hands with blasting wind, mildew and hail; yet you did not come back to Me,' declares the Lord.(nasb) Hag 2:17 Percussi vos vento urente, et aurugine, et grandine omnia opera manuum vestrarum: et non fuit in vobis qui reverteretur ad me, dicit Dominus.(vulgate) Haggeo 2:17 Os herí con viento solano, y con tizoncillo, y con granizo en toda obra de vuestras manos; mas no os [convertisteis] a mí, dice Jehová.(E) Aggée 2:17 Je vous ai frappés par la rouille et par la nielle, et par la grêle; J'ai frappé tout le travail de vos mains.
