Today's Date: ======= Deuteronomy 22:1 ============ Deu 22:1 "You shall not see your countryman's ox or his sheep straying away, and pay no attention to them; you shall certainly bring them back to your countryman.(nas) Deu 22:1 μὴ ἰδὼν τὸν μόσχον τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου ἢ τὸ πρόβατον αὐτοῦ πλανώμενα ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ὑπερίδῃς αὐτά ἀποστροφῇ ἀποστρέψεις αὐτὰ τῷ ἀδελφῷ σου καὶ ἀποδώσεις αὐτῷ (lxx) Deu 22:1 Non videbis bovem fratris tui, aut ovem errantem, et præteribis: sed reduces fratri tuo,(vulgate) 1 ׃22 לֹֽא־תִרְאֶה֩ אֶת־שׁ֨וֹר אָחִ֜יךָ א֤וֹ אֶת־שֵׂיוֹ֙ נִדָּחִ֔ים וְהִתְעַלַּמְתָּ֖ מֵהֶ֑ם הָשֵׁ֥ב תְּשִׁיבֵ֖ם לְאָחִֽיךָ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 22:1 Wenn du deines Bruders Ochsen oder Schaf siehst irregehen, so sollst du dich nicht entziehen von ihnen, sondern sollst sie wieder zu deinem Bruder führen.(dhs) Deu 22:1 "You shall not see your brother's ox or his sheep going astray, and hide yourself from them; you shall certainly bring them back to your brother.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:2 ============ Deu 22:2 If your countryman is not near you, or if you do not know him, then you shall bring it home to your house, and it shall remain with you until your countryman looks for it; then you shall restore it to him.(nas) Deu 22:2 ἐὰν δὲ μὴ ἐγγίζῃ ὁ ἀδελφός σου πρὸς σὲ μηδὲ ἐπίστῃ αὐτόν συνάξεις αὐτὰ ἔνδον εἰς τὴν οἰκίαν σου καὶ ἔσται μετὰ σοῦ ἕως ἂν ζητήσῃ αὐτὰ ὁ ἀδελφός σου καὶ ἀποδώσεις αὐτῷ (lxx) Deu 22:2 etiamsi non est propinquus frater tuus, nec nosti eum: duces in domum tuam, et erunt apud te quamdiu quærat ea frater tuus, et recipiat.(vulgate) 2 ׃22 וְאִם־לֹ֨א קָר֥וֹב אָחִ֛יךָ אֵלֶ֖יךָ וְלֹ֣א יְדַעְתּ֑וֹ וַאֲסַפְתּוֹ֙ אֶל־תּ֣וֹךְ בֵּיתֶ֔ךָ וְהָיָ֣ה עִמְּךָ֗ עַ֣ד דְּרֹ֤שׁ אָחִ֙יךָ֙ אֹת֔וֹ וַהֲשֵׁבֹת֖וֹ לֽוֹ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 22:2 Wenn aber dein Bruder dir nicht nahe ist und du kennst ihn nicht, so sollst du sie in dein Haus nehmen, daß sie bei dir seien, bis sie dein Bruder suche, und sollst sie ihm dann wiedergeben.(dhs) Deu 22:2 And if your brother is not near you, or if you do not know him, then you shall bring it to your own house, and it shall remain with you until your brother seeks it; then you shall restore it to him.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:3 ============ Deu 22:3 Thus you shall do with his donkey, and you shall do the same with his garment, and you shall do likewise with anything lost by your countryman, which he has lost and you have found. You are not allowed to neglect them.(nas) Deu 22:3 οὕτως ποιήσεις τὸν ὄνον αὐτοῦ καὶ οὕτως ποιήσεις τὸ ἱμάτιον αὐτοῦ καὶ οὕτως ποιήσεις κατὰ πᾶσαν ἀπώλειαν τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου ὅσα ἐὰν ἀπόληται παρ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ εὕρῃς οὐ δυνήσῃ ὑπεριδεῖν (lxx) Deu 22:3 Similiter facies de asino, et de vestimento, et de omni re fratris tui, quæ perierit: si inveneris eam, ne negligas quasi alienam.(vulgate) 3 ׃22 וְכֵ֧ן תַּעֲשֶׂ֣ה לַחֲמֹר֗וֹ וְכֵ֣ן תַּעֲשֶׂה֮ לְשִׂמְלָתוֹ֒ וְכֵ֣ן תַּעֲשֶׂ֗[t]ה לְכָל־אֲבֵדַ֥ת אָחִ֛יךָ אֲשֶׁר־תֹּאבַ֥ד מִמֶּ֖נּוּ וּמְצָאתָ֑הּ לֹ֥א תוּכַ֖ל לְהִתְעַלֵּֽם׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 22:3 Also sollst du tun mit seinem Esel, mit seinem Kleid und mit allem Verlorenen, das dein Bruder verliert und du findest; du kannst dich nicht entziehen.(dhs) Deu 22:3 You shall do the same with his donkey, and so shall you do with his garment; with any lost thing of your brother's, which he has lost and you have found, you shall do likewise; you must not hide yourself.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:4 ============ Deu 22:4 You shall not see your countryman's donkey or his ox fallen down on the way, and pay no attention to them; you shall certainly help him to raise them up.(nas) Deu 22:4 οὐκ ὄψῃ τὸν ὄνον τοῦ ἀδελφοῦ σου ἢ τὸν μόσχον αὐτοῦ πεπτωκότας ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ μὴ ὑπερίδῃς αὐτούς ἀνιστῶν ἀναστήσεις μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Deu 22:4 Si videris asinum fratris tui aut bovem cecidisse in via, non despicies, sed sublevabis cum eo.~(vulgate) 4 ׃22 לֹא־תִרְאֶה֩ אֶת־חֲמ֨וֹר אָחִ֜יךָ א֤וֹ שׁוֹרוֹ֙ נֹפְלִ֣ים בַּדֶּ֔רֶךְ וְהִתְעַלַּמְתָּ֖ מֵהֶ֑ם הָקֵ֥ם תָּקִ֖ים עִמּֽוֹ׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 22:4 Wenn du deines Bruders Esel oder Ochsen siehst fallen auf dem Wege, so sollst du dich nicht von ihm entziehen, sondern sollst ihm aufhelfen.(dhs) Deu 22:4 "You shall not see your brother's donkey or his ox fall down along the road, and hide yourself from them; you shall surely help him lift them up again.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:5 ============ Deu 22:5 "A woman shall not wear man's clothing, nor shall a man put on a woman's clothing; for whoever does these things is an abomination to the Lord your God.(nas) Deu 22:5 οὐκ ἔσται σκεύη ἀνδρὸς ἐπὶ γυναικί οὐδὲ μὴ ἐνδύσηται ἀνὴρ στολὴν γυναικείαν ὅτι βδέλυγμα κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σού ἐστιν πᾶς ποιῶν ταῦτα (lxx) Deu 22:5 Non induetur mulier veste virili, nec vir utetur veste feminea: abominabilis enim apud Deum est qui facit hæc.(vulgate) 5 ׃22 לֹא־יִהְיֶ֤ה כְלִי־גֶ֙בֶר֙ עַל־אִשָּׁ֔ה וְלֹא־יִלְבַּ֥שׁ גֶּ֖בֶר שִׂמְלַ֣ת אִשָּׁ֑ה כִּ֧י תוֹעֲבַ֛ת יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ כָּל־עֹ֥שֵׂה אֵֽלֶּה׃ פ Deuteronomy Deu 22:5 Ein Weib soll nicht Mannsgewand tragen, und ein Mann soll nicht Weiberkleider antun; denn wer solches tut, der ist dem HERRN, deinem Gott, ein Greuel.(dhs) Deu 22:5 "A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman's garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the Lord your God.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:6 ============ Deu 22:6 "If you happen to come upon a bird's nest along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, and the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young;(nas) Deu 22:6 ἐὰν δὲ συναντήσῃς νοσσιᾷ ὀρνέων πρὸ προσώπου σου ἐν τῇ ὁδῷ ἢ ἐπὶ παντὶ δένδρει ἢ ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς νεοσσοῖς ἢ ᾠοῖς καὶ ἡ μήτηρ θάλπῃ ἐπὶ τῶν νεοσσῶν ἢ ἐπὶ τῶν ᾠῶν οὐ λήμψῃ τὴν μητέρα μετὰ τῶν τέκνων (lxx) Deu 22:6 Si ambulans per viam, in arbore vel in terra nidum avis inveneris, et matrem pullis vel ovis desuper incubantem: non tenebis eam cum filiis,(vulgate) 6 ׃22 כִּ֣י יִקָּרֵ֣א קַן־צִפּ֣וֹר ׀ לְפָנֶ֡יךָ בַּדֶּ֜רֶךְ בְּכָל־עֵ֣ץ ׀ א֣וֹ עַל־הָאָ֗רֶץ אֶפְרֹחִים֙ א֣וֹ בֵיצִ֔ים וְהָאֵ֤ם רֹבֶ֙צֶת֙ עַל־הָֽאֶפְרֹחִ֔ים א֖וֹ עַל־הַבֵּיצִ֑ים לֹא־תִקַּ֥ח הָאֵ֖ם עַל־הַבָּנִֽים׃ Deuteronomy Deu 22:6 Wenn du auf dem Wege findest ein Vogelnest auf einem Baum oder auf der Erde, mit Jungen oder mit Eiern, und daß die Mutter auf den Jungen oder auf den Eiern sitzt, so sollst du nicht die Mutter mit den Jungen nehmen,(dhs) Deu 22:6 "If a bird's nest happens to be before you along the way, in any tree or on the ground, with young ones or eggs, with the mother sitting on the young or on the eggs, you shall not take the mother with the young;(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:7 ============ Deu 22:7 you shall certainly let the mother go, but the young you may take for yourself, in order that it may be well with you and that you may prolong your days.(nas) Deu 22:7 ἀποστολῇ ἀποστελεῖς τὴν μητέρα τὰ δὲ παιδία λήμψῃ σεαυτῷ ἵνα εὖ σοι γένηται καὶ πολυήμερος ἔσῃ (lxx) Deu 22:7 sed abire patieris, captos tenens filios: ut bene sit tibi, et longo vivas tempore.(vulgate) 7 ׃22 שַׁלֵּ֤חַ תְּשַׁלַּח֙ אֶת־הָאֵ֔ם וְאֶת־הַבָּנִ֖ים תִּֽקַּֽח־לָ֑ךְ לְמַ֙עַן֙ יִ֣יטַב לָ֔ךְ וְהַאֲרַכְתָּ֖ יָמִֽים׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 22:7 sondern sollst die Mutter fliegen lassen und die Jungen nehmen, auf daß dir's wohl gehe und du lange lebest.(dhs) Deu 22:7 you shall surely let the mother go, and take the young for yourself, that it may be well with you and that you may prolong your days.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:8 ============ Deu 22:8 "When you build a new house, you shall make a parapet for your roof, so that you will not bring bloodguilt on your house if anyone falls from it.(nas) Deu 22:8 ἐὰν δὲ οἰκοδομήσῃς οἰκίαν καινήν καὶ ποιήσεις στεφάνην τῷ δώματί σου καὶ οὐ ποιήσεις φόνον ἐν τῇ οἰκίᾳ σου ἐὰν πέσῃ ὁ πεσὼν ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Deu 22:8 Cum ædificaveris domum novam, facies murum tecti per circuitum: ne effundatur sanguis in domo tua, et sis reus labente alio, et in præceps ruente.(vulgate) 8 ׃22 כִּ֤י תִבְנֶה֙ בַּ֣יִת חָדָ֔שׁ וְעָשִׂ֥יתָ מַעֲקֶ֖ה לְגַגֶּ֑ךָ וְלֹֽא־תָשִׂ֤ים דָּמִים֙ בְּבֵיתֶ֔ךָ כִּֽי־יִפֹּ֥ל הַנֹּפֵ֖ל מִמֶּֽנּוּ׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 22:8 Wenn du ein neues Haus baust, so mache eine Lehne darum auf deinem Dache, auf daß du nicht Blut auf dein Haus ladest, wenn jemand herabfiele.(dhs) Deu 22:8 "When you build a new house, then you shall make a parapet for your roof, that you may not bring guilt of bloodshed on your household if anyone falls from it.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:9 ============ Deu 22:9 "You shall not sow your vineyard with two kinds of seed, or all the produce of the seed which you have sown and the increase of the vineyard will become defiled.(nas) Deu 22:9 οὐ κατασπερεῖς τὸν ἀμπελῶνά σου διάφορον ἵνα μὴ ἁγιασθῇ τὸ γένημα καὶ τὸ σπέρμα ὃ ἐὰν σπείρῃς μετὰ τοῦ γενήματος τοῦ ἀμπελῶνός σου (lxx) Deu 22:9 Non seres vineam tuam altero semine: ne et sementis quam sevisti, et quæ nascuntur ex vinea, pariter sanctificentur.(vulgate) 9 ׃22 לֹא־תִזְרַ֥ע כַּרְמְךָ֖ כִּלְאָ֑יִם פֶּן־תִּקְדַּ֗שׁ הַֽמְלֵאָ֤ה הַזֶּ֙רַע֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר תִּזְרָ֔ע וּתְבוּאַ֖ת הַכָּֽרֶם׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 22:9 Du sollst deinen Weinberg nicht mit mancherlei besäen, daß nicht dem Heiligtum verfalle die Fülle, der Same, den du gesät hast, samt dem Ertrage des Weinbergs.(dhs) Deu 22:9 "You shall not sow your vineyard with different kinds of seed, lest the yield of the seed which you have sown and the fruit of your vineyard be defiled.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:10 ============ Deu 22:10 "You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.(nas) Deu 22:10 οὐκ ἀροτριάσεις ἐν μόσχῳ καὶ ὄνῳ ἐπὶ τὸ αὐτό (lxx) Deu 22:10 Non arabis in bove simul et asino.(vulgate) 10 ׃22 לֹֽא־תַחֲרֹ֥שׁ בְּשׁוֹר־וּבַחֲמֹ֖ר יַחְדָּֽו׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 22:10 Du sollst nicht ackern zugleich mit einem Ochsen und Esel.(dhs) Deu 22:10 "You shall not plow with an ox and a donkey together.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:11 ============ Deu 22:11 "You shall not wear a material mixed of wool and linen together.(nas) Deu 22:11 οὐκ ἐνδύσῃ κίβδηλον ἔρια καὶ λίνον ἐν τῷ αὐτῷ (lxx) Deu 22:11 Non indueris vestimento, quod ex lana linoque contextum est.(vulgate) 11 ׃22 לֹ֤א תִלְבַּשׁ֙ שַֽׁעַטְנֵ֔ז צֶ֥מֶר וּפִשְׁתִּ֖ים יַחְדָּֽו׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 22:11 Du sollst nicht anziehen ein gemengtes Kleid, von Wolle und Leinen zugleich.(dhs) Deu 22:11 "You shall not wear a garment of different sorts, such as wool and linen mixed together.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:12 ============ Deu 22:12 "You shall make yourself tassels on the four corners of your garment with which you cover yourself.(nas) Deu 22:12 στρεπτὰ ποιήσεις σεαυτῷ ἐπὶ τῶν τεσσάρων κρασπέδων τῶν περιβολαίων σου ἃ ἐὰν περιβάλῃ ἐν αὐτοῖς (lxx) Deu 22:12 Funiculos in fimbriis facies per quatuor angulos pallii tui, quo operieris.~(vulgate) 12 ׃22 גְּדִלִ֖ים תַּעֲשֶׂה־לָּ֑ךְ עַל־אַרְבַּ֛ע כַּנְפ֥וֹת כְּסוּתְךָ֖ אֲשֶׁ֥ר תְּכַסֶּה־בָּֽהּ׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 22:12 Du sollst dir Quasten machen an den Zipfeln deines Mantels mit dem du dich bedeckst.(dhs) Deu 22:12 "You shall make tassels on the four corners of the clothing with which you cover yourself.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:13 ============ Deu 22:13 "If any man takes a wife and goes in to her and then turns against her,(nas) Deu 22:13 ἐὰν δέ τις λάβῃ γυναῖκα καὶ συνοικήσῃ αὐτῇ καὶ μισήσῃ αὐτὴν (lxx) Deu 22:13 Si duxerit vir uxorem, et postea odio habuerit eam,(vulgate) 13 ׃22 כִּֽי־יִקַּ֥ח אִ֖ישׁ אִשָּׁ֑ה וּבָ֥א אֵלֶ֖יהָ וּשְׂנֵאָֽהּ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 22:13 Wenn jemand ein Weib nimmt und wird ihr gram, wenn er zu ihr gegangen ist,(dhs) Deu 22:13 "If any man takes a wife, and goes in to her, and detests her,(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:14 ============ Deu 22:14 and charges her with shameful deeds and publicly defames her, and says, 'I took this woman, but when I came near her, I did not find her a virgin,'(nas) Deu 22:14 καὶ ἐπιθῇ αὐτῇ προφασιστικοὺς λόγους καὶ κατενέγκῃ αὐτῆς ὄνομα πονηρὸν καὶ λέγῃ τὴν γυναῖκα ταύτην εἴληφα καὶ προσελθὼν αὐτῇ οὐχ εὕρηκα αὐτῆς παρθένια (lxx) Deu 22:14 quæsieritque occasiones quibus dimittat eam, objiciens ei nomen pessimum, et dixerit: Uxorem hanc accepi, et ingressus ad eam non inveni virginem:(vulgate) 14 ׃22 וְשָׂ֥ם לָהּ֙ עֲלִילֹ֣ת דְּבָרִ֔ים וְהוֹצִ֥יא עָלֶ֖יהָ שֵׁ֣ם רָ֑ע וְאָמַ֗ר אֶת־הָאִשָּׁ֤ה הַזֹּאת֙ לָקַ֔חְתִּי וָאֶקְרַ֣ב אֵלֶ֔יהָ וְלֹא־מָצָ֥אתִי לָ֖הּ בְּתוּלִֽים׃ Deuteronomy Deu 22:14 und legt ihr etwas Schändliches auf und bringt ein böses Geschrei über sie aus und spricht: Das Weib habe ich genommen, und da ich mich zu ihr tat, fand ich sie nicht Jungfrau,(dhs) Deu 22:14 and charges her with shameful conduct, and brings a bad name on her, and says, 'I took this woman, and when I came to her I found she was not a virgin,'(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:15 ============ Deu 22:15 then the girl's father and her mother shall take and bring out the evidence of the girl's virginity to the elders of the city at the gate.(nas) Deu 22:15 καὶ λαβὼν ὁ πατὴρ τῆς παιδὸς καὶ ἡ μήτηρ ἐξοίσουσιν τὰ παρθένια τῆς παιδὸς πρὸς τὴν γερουσίαν ἐπὶ τὴν πύλην (lxx) Deu 22:15 tollent eam pater et mater ejus, et ferent secum signa virginitatis ejus ad seniores urbis qui in porta sunt:(vulgate) 15 ׃22 וְלָקַ֛ח אֲבִ֥י *הנער **הַֽנַּעֲרָ֖ה וְאִמָּ֑הּ וְהוֹצִ֜יאוּ אֶת־בְּתוּלֵ֧י *הנער **הַֽנַּעֲרָ֛ה אֶל־זִקְנֵ֥י הָעִ֖יר הַשָּֽׁעְרָה׃ Deuteronomy Deu 22:15 so sollen Vater und Mutter der Dirne sie nehmen und vor die Ältesten der Stadt in dem Tor hervorbringen der Dirne Jungfrauschaft.(dhs) Deu 22:15 then the father and mother of the young woman shall take and bring out the evidence of the young woman's virginity to the elders of the city at the gate.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:16 ============ Deu 22:16 The girl's father shall say to the elders, 'I gave my daughter to this man for a wife, but he turned against her;(nas) Deu 22:16 καὶ ἐρεῖ ὁ πατὴρ τῆς παιδὸς τῇ γερουσίᾳ τὴν θυγατέρα μου ταύτην δέδωκα τῷ ἀνθρώπῳ τούτῳ γυναῖκα καὶ μισήσας αὐτὴν (lxx) Deu 22:16 et dicet pater: Filiam meam dedi huic uxorem: quam quia odit,(vulgate) 16 ׃22 וְאָמַ֛ר אֲבִ֥י *הנער **הַֽנַּעַרָ֖ה אֶל־הַזְּקֵנִ֑ים אֶת־בִּתִּ֗י נָתַ֜תִּי לָאִ֥ישׁ הַזֶּ֛ה לְאִשָּׁ֖ה וַיִּשְׂנָאֶֽהָ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 22:16 Und der Dirne Vater soll sagen: Ich habe diesem Mann meine Tochter zum Weibe gegeben; nun ist er ihr gram geworden(dhs) Deu 22:16 And the young woman's father shall say to the elders, 'I gave my daughter to this man as wife, and he detests her.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:17 ============ Deu 22:17 and behold, he has charged her with shameful deeds, saying, "I did not find your daughter a virgin." But this is the evidence of my daughter's virginity.' And they shall spread the garment before the elders of the city.(nas) Deu 22:17 αὐτὸς νῦν ἐπιτίθησιν αὐτῇ προφασιστικοὺς λόγους λέγων οὐχ εὕρηκα τῇ θυγατρί σου παρθένια καὶ ταῦτα τὰ παρθένια τῆς θυγατρός μου καὶ ἀναπτύξουσιν τὸ ἱμάτιον ἐναντίον τῆς γερουσίας τῆς πόλεως (lxx) Deu 22:17 imponit ei nomen pessimum, ut dicat: Non inveni filiam tuam virginem: et ecce hæc sunt signa virginitatis filiæ meæ. Expandent vestimentum coram senioribus civitatis:(vulgate) 17 ׃22 וְהִנֵּה־ה֡וּא שָׂם֩ עֲלִילֹ֨ת דְּבָרִ֜ים לֵאמֹ֗ר לֹֽא־מָצָ֤אתִי לְבִתְּךָ֙ בְּתוּלִ֔ים וְאֵ֖לֶּה בְּתוּלֵ֣י בִתִּ֑י וּפֽ͏ָרְשׂוּ֙ הַשִּׂמְלָ֔ה לִפְנֵ֖י זִקְנֵ֥י הָעִֽיר׃ Deuteronomy Deu 22:17 und legt ein schändlich Ding auf sie und spricht: Ich habe deine Tochter nicht Jungfrau gefunden; hier ist die Jungfrauschaft meiner Tochter. Und sollen das Kleid vor den Ältesten der Stadt ausbreiten.(dhs) Deu 22:17 Now he has charged her with shameful conduct, saying, "I found your daughter was not a virgin," and yet these are the evidences of my daughter's virginity.' And they shall spread the cloth before the elders of the city.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:18 ============ Deu 22:18 So the elders of that city shall take the man and chastise him,(nas) Deu 22:18 καὶ λήμψεται ἡ γερουσία τῆς πόλεως ἐκείνης τὸν ἄνθρωπον ἐκεῖνον καὶ παιδεύσουσιν αὐτὸν (lxx) Deu 22:18 apprehendentque senes urbis illius virum, et verberabunt illum,(vulgate) 18 ׃22 וְלָֽ[m]קְח֛וּ זִקְנֵ֥י הָֽעִיר־הַהִ֖וא אֶת־הָאִ֑ישׁ וְיִסְּר֖וּ אֹתֽוֹ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 22:18 So sollen die Ältesten der Stadt den Mann nehmen und züchtigen(dhs) Deu 22:18 Then the elders of that city shall take that man and punish him;(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:19 ============ Deu 22:19 and they shall fine him a hundred shekels of silver and give it to the girl's father, because he publicly defamed a virgin of Israel. And she shall remain his wife; he cannot divorce her all his days.(nas) Deu 22:19 καὶ ζημιώσουσιν αὐτὸν ἑκατὸν σίκλους καὶ δώσουσιν τῷ πατρὶ τῆς νεάνιδος ὅτι ἐξήνεγκεν ὄνομα πονηρὸν ἐπὶ παρθένον Ισραηλῖτιν καὶ αὐτοῦ ἔσται γυνή οὐ δυνήσεται ἐξαποστεῖλαι αὐτὴν τὸν ἅπαντα χρόνον (lxx) Deu 22:19 condemnantes insuper centum siclis argenti, quos dabit patri puellæ, quoniam diffamavit nomen pessimum super virginem Israël: habebitque eam uxorem, et non poterit dimittere eam omnibus diebus vitæ suæ.(vulgate) 19 ׃22 וְעָנְשׁ֨וּ אֹת֜וֹ מֵ֣אָה כֶ֗סֶף וְנָתְנוּ֙ לַאֲבִ֣י הַֽנַּעֲרָ֔ה כִּ֤י הוֹצִיא֙ שֵׁ֣ם רָ֔ע עַ֖ל בְּתוּלַ֣ת יִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וְלֽוֹ־תִהְיֶ֣ה לְאִשָּׁ֔ה לֹא־יוּכַ֥ל לְשַּׁלְּחָ֖הּ כָּל־יָמָֽיו׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 22:19 und um hundert Silberlinge büßen und dieselben der Dirne Vater geben, darum daß er eine Jungfrau in Israel berüchtigt hat; und er soll sie zum Weibe haben, daß er sie sein Leben lang nicht lassen möge.(dhs) Deu 22:19 and they shall fine him one hundred shekels of silver and give them to the father of the young woman, because he has brought a bad name on a virgin of Israel. And she shall be his wife; he cannot divorce her all his days.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:20 ============ Deu 22:20 "But if this charge is true, that the girl was not found a virgin,(nas) Deu 22:20 ἐὰν δὲ ἐπ᾽ ἀληθείας γένηται ὁ λόγος οὗτος καὶ μὴ εὑρεθῇ παρθένια τῇ νεάνιδι (lxx) Deu 22:20 Quod si verum est quod objicit, et non est in puella inventa virginitas,(vulgate) 20 ׃22 וְאִם־אֱמֶ֣ת הָיָ֔ה הַדָּבָ֖ר הַזֶּ֑ה לֹא־נִמְצְא֥וּ בְתוּלִ֖ים *לנער **לַֽנַּעֲרָֽה׃ Deuteronomy Deu 22:20 Ist's aber Wahrheit, daß die Dirne nicht ist Jungfrau gefunden,(dhs) Deu 22:20 But if the thing is true, and evidences of virginity are not found for the young woman,(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:21 ============ Deu 22:21 then they shall bring out the girl to the doorway of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death because she has committed an act of folly in Israel by playing the harlot in her father's house; thus you shall purge the evil from among you.(nas) Deu 22:21 καὶ ἐξάξουσιν τὴν νεᾶνιν ἐπὶ τὰς θύρας οἴκου πατρὸς αὐτῆς καὶ λιθοβολήσουσιν αὐτὴν οἱ ἄνδρες τῆς πόλεως αὐτῆς ἐν λίθοις καὶ ἀποθανεῖται ὅτι ἐποίησεν ἀφροσύνην ἐν υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἐκπορνεῦσαι τὸν οἶκον τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτῆς καὶ ἐξαρεῖς τὸν πονηρὸν ἐξ ὑμῶν αὐτῶν (lxx) Deu 22:21 ejicient eam extra fores domus patris sui, et lapidibus obruent viri civitatis illius, et morietur: quoniam fecit nefas in Israël, ut fornicaretur in domo patris sui: et auferes malum de medio tui.(vulgate) 21 ׃22 וְהוֹצִ֨יאוּ אֶת־*הנער **הַֽנַּעֲרָ֜ה אֶל־פֶּ֣תַח בֵּית־אָבִ֗יהָ וּסְקָלוּהָ֩ אַנְשֵׁ֨י עִירָ֤הּ בָּאֲבָנִים֙ וָמֵ֔תָה כִּֽי־עָשְׂתָ֤ה נְבָלָה֙ בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל לִזְנ֖וֹת בֵּ֣ית אָבִ֑יהָ וּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥ הָרָ֖ע מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 22:21 so soll man sie heraus vor die Tür ihres Vaters Hauses führen, und die Leute der Stadt sollen sie zu Tode steinigen, darum daß sie eine Torheit in Israel begangen und in ihres Vaters Hause gehurt hat; und sollst das Böse von dir tun.(dhs) Deu 22:21 then they shall bring out the young woman to the door of her father's house, and the men of her city shall stone her to death with stones, because she has done a disgraceful thing in Israel, to play the harlot in her father's house. So you shall put away the evil from among you.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:22 ============ Deu 22:22 "If a man is found lying with a married woman, then both of them shall die, the man who lay with the woman, and the woman; thus you shall purge the evil from Israel.(nas) Deu 22:22 ἐὰν δὲ εὑρεθῇ ἄνθρωπος κοιμώμενος μετὰ γυναικὸς συνῳκισμένης ἀνδρί ἀποκτενεῖτε ἀμφοτέρους τὸν ἄνδρα τὸν κοιμώμενον μετὰ τῆς γυναικὸς καὶ τὴν γυναῖκα καὶ ἐξαρεῖς τὸν πονηρὸν ἐξ Ισραηλ (lxx) Deu 22:22 Si dormierit vir cum uxore alterius, uterque morietur, id est, adulter et adultera: et auferes malum de Israël.~(vulgate) 22 ׃22 כִּֽי־יִמָּצֵ֨א אִ֜ישׁ שֹׁכֵ֣ב ׀ עִם־אִשָּׁ֣ה בְעֻֽלַת־בַּ֗עַל וּמֵ֙תוּ֙ גַּם־שְׁנֵיהֶ֔ם הָאִ֛ישׁ הַשֹּׁכֵ֥ב עִם־הָאִשָּׁ֖ה וְהָאִשָּׁ֑ה וּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥ הָרָ֖ע מִיִּשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 22:22 Wenn jemand gefunden wird, der bei einem Weibe schläft, die einen Ehemann hat, so sollen sie beide sterben, der Mann und das Weib, bei dem er geschlafen hat; und sollst das Böse von Israel tun.(dhs) Deu 22:22 "If a man is found lying with a woman married to a husband, then both of them shall die--the man that lay with the woman, and the woman; so you shall put away the evil from Israel.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:23 ============ Deu 22:23 "If there is a girl who is a virgin engaged to a man, and another man finds her in the city and lies with her,(nas) Deu 22:23 ἐὰν δὲ γένηται παῖς παρθένος μεμνηστευμένη ἀνδρὶ καὶ εὑρὼν αὐτὴν ἄνθρωπος ἐν πόλει κοιμηθῇ μετ᾽ αὐτῆς (lxx) Deu 22:23 Si puellam virginem desponderit vir, et invenerit eam aliquis in civitate, et concubuerit cum ea,(vulgate) 23 ׃22 כִּ֤י יִהְיֶה֙ *נער **נַעֲרָ֣ה בְתוּלָ֔ה מְאֹרָשָׂ֖ה לְאִ֑ישׁ וּמְצָאָ֥הּ אִ֛ישׁ בָּעִ֖יר וְשָׁכַ֥ב עִמָּֽהּ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 22:23 Wenn eine Dirne jemand verlobt ist, und ein Mann kriegt sie in der Stadt und schläft bei ihr,(dhs) Deu 22:23 "If a young woman who is a virgin is betrothed to a husband, and a man finds her in the city and lies with her,(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:24 ============ Deu 22:24 then you shall bring them both out to the gate of that city and you shall stone them to death; the girl, because she did not cry out in the city, and the man, because he has violated his neighbor's wife. Thus you shall purge the evil from among you.(nas) Deu 22:24 ἐξάξετε ἀμφοτέρους ἐπὶ τὴν πύλην τῆς πόλεως αὐτῶν καὶ λιθοβοληθήσονται ἐν λίθοις καὶ ἀποθανοῦνται τὴν νεᾶνιν ὅτι οὐκ ἐβόησεν ἐν τῇ πόλει καὶ τὸν ἄνθρωπον ὅτι ἐταπείνωσεν τὴν γυναῖκα τοῦ πλησίον καὶ ἐξαρεῖς τὸν πονηρὸν ἐξ ὑμῶν αὐτῶν (lxx) Deu 22:24 educes utrumque ad portam civitatis illius, et lapidibus obruentur: puella, quia non clamavit, cum esset in civitate: vir, quia humiliavit uxorem proximi sui: et auferes malum de medio tui.(vulgate) 24 ׃22 וְהוֹצֵאתֶ֨ם אֶת־שְׁנֵיהֶ֜ם אֶל־שַׁ֣עַר ׀ הָעִ֣יר הַהִ֗וא וּסְקַלְתֶּ֨ם אֹתָ֥ם בָּאֲבָנִים֮ וָמֵתוּ֒ אֶת־*הנער **הַֽנַּעֲרָ֗ה עַל־דְּבַר֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא־צָעֲקָ֣ה בָעִ֔יר וְאֶ֨ת־הָאִ֔ישׁ עַל־דְּבַ֥ר אֲשֶׁר־עִנָּ֖ה אֶת־אֵ֣שֶׁת רֵעֵ֑הוּ וּבִֽעַרְתָּ֥ הָרָ֖ע מִקִּרְבֶּֽךָ׃ ס Deuteronomy Deu 22:24 so sollt ihr sie alle beide zu der Stadt Tor ausführen und sollt sie steinigen, daß sie sterben; so you shall put away the evil from among you.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:25 ============ Deu 22:25 "But if in the field the man finds the girl who is engaged, and the man forces her and lies with her, then only the man who lies with her shall die.(nas) Deu 22:25 ἐὰν δὲ ἐν πεδίῳ εὕρῃ ἄνθρωπος τὴν παῖδα τὴν μεμνηστευμένην καὶ βιασάμενος κοιμηθῇ μετ᾽ αὐτῆς ἀποκτενεῖτε τὸν ἄνθρωπον τὸν κοιμώμενον μετ᾽ αὐτῆς μόνον (lxx) Deu 22:25 Sin autem in agro repererit vir puellam, quæ desponsata est, et apprehendens concubuerit cum ea, ipse morietur solus:(vulgate) 25 ׃22 וְֽאִם־בַּשָּׂדֶ֞ה יִמְצָ֣א הָאִ֗ישׁ אֶת־*הנער **הַֽנַּעֲרָה֙ הַמְאֹ֣רָשָׂ֔ה וְהֶחֱזִֽיק־בָּ֥הּ הָאִ֖ישׁ וְשָׁכַ֣ב עִמָּ֑הּ וּמֵ֗ת הָאִ֛ישׁ אֲשֶׁר־שָׁכַ֥ב עִמָּ֖הּ לְבַדּֽוֹ׃ Deuteronomy Deu 22:25 Wenn aber jemand eine verlobte Dirne auf dem Felde kriegt und ergreift sie und schläft bei ihr, so soll der Mann allein sterben, der bei ihr geschlafen hat,(dhs) Deu 22:25 "But if a man finds a betrothed young woman in the countryside, and the man forces her and lies with her, then only the man who lay with her shall die.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 22:26 ============ Deu 22:26 But you shall do nothing to the girl; there is no sin in the girl worthy of death, for just as a man rises against his neighbor and murders him, so is this case.(nas) Deu 22:26 καὶ τῇ νεάνιδι οὐ ποιήσετε οὐδέν οὐκ ἔστιν τῇ νεάνιδι ἁμάρτημα θανάτου ὅτι ὡς εἴ τις ἐπαναστῇ ἄνθρωπος ἐπὶ τὸν πλησίον καὶ φονεύσῃ αὐτοῦ ψυχήν οὕτως τὸ πρᾶγμα τοῦτο (lxx) Deu 22:26 puella nihil patietur, nec est rea mortis: quoniam sicut latro consurgit contra fratrem suum, et occidit animam ejus, ita et puella perpessa est.(vulgate) 26 ׃22 *ולנער **וְלַֽנַּעֲרָה֙ לֹא־תַעֲשֶׂ֣ה דָבָ֔ר אֵ֥ין *לנער **לַֽנַּעֲרָ֖ה חֵ֣טְא מָ֑וֶת כִּ֡י כַּאֲשֶׁר֩ יָק֨וּם אִ֤ישׁ עַל־רֵעֵ֙הוּ֙ וּרְצָח֣וֹ נֶ֔פֶשׁ כֵּ֖ן הַדָּבָ֥ר הַזֶּֽה׃ Deuteronomy Deu 22:26 und der Dirne sollst du nichts tun; denn sie hat keine Sünde des Todes wert getan, sondern gleich wie jemand sich wider seinen Nächsten erhöbe und schlüge ihn tot, so ist dies auch.(dhs) Deu 22:26 But you shall do nothing to the young woman;
