Today's Date: ======= 2 Kings 25:1 ============ 2Ki 25:1 Now in the ninth year of his reign, on the tenth day of the tenth month, Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon came, he and all his army, against Jerusalem, camped against it and built a siege wall all around it.(nas) 2Ki 25:1 καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ ἐνάτῳ τῆς βασιλείας αὐτοῦ ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ δεκάτῳ ἦλθεν Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος καὶ πᾶσα ἡ δύναμις αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ Ιερουσαλημ καὶ παρενέβαλεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτὴν περίτειχος κύκλῳ (lxx) 2Ki 25:1 Factum est autem anno nono regni ejus, mense decimo, decima die mensis, venit Nabuchodonosor rex Babylonis, ipse et omnis exercitus ejus, in Jerusalem, et circumdederunt eam: et exstruxerunt in circuitu ejus munitiones.(vulgate) 1 ׃25 וַיְהִי֩ בִשְׁנַ֨ת הַתְּשִׁיעִ֜ית לְמָלְכ֗וֹ בַּחֹ֣דֶשׁ הָעֲשִׂירִי֮ בֶּעָשׂ֣וֹר לַחֹדֶשׁ֒ בָּ֠א נְבֻכַדְנֶאצַּ֨ר מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֜ל ה֧וּא וְכָל־חֵיל֛וֹ עַל־יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם וַיִּ֣חַן עָלֶ֑יהָ וַיִּבְנ֥וּ עָלֶ֛יהָ דָּיֵ֖ק סָבִֽיב׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:1 Und es begab sich im neunten Jahr seines Königreichs, am zehnten Tag des zehnten Monats, kam Nebukadnezar, der König zu Babel, mit aller seiner Macht wider Jerusalem; und sie lagerten sich dawider und bauten Bollwerke darum her.(dhs) 2Ki 25:1 Now it came to pass in the ninth year of his reign, in the tenth month, on the tenth day of the month, that Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon and all his army came against Jerusalem and encamped against it; and they built a siege wall against it all around.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:2 ============ 2Ki 25:2 So the city was under siege until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.(nas) 2Ki 25:2 καὶ ἦλθεν ἡ πόλις ἐν περιοχῇ ἕως τοῦ ἑνδεκάτου ἔτους τοῦ βασιλέως Σεδεκιου (lxx) 2Ki 25:2 Et clausa est civitas atque vallata usque ad undecimum annum regis Sedeciæ,(vulgate) 2 ׃25 וַתָּבֹ֥א הָעִ֖יר בַּמָּצ֑וֹר עַ֚ד עַשְׁתֵּ֣י עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה לַמֶּ֖לֶךְ צִדְקִיָּֽהוּ׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:2 Also ward die Stadt belagert bis ins elfte Jahr des Königs Zedekia.(dhs) 2Ki 25:2 So the city was besieged until the eleventh year of King Zedekiah.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:3 ============ 2Ki 25:3 On the ninth day of the fourth month the famine was so severe in the city that there was no food for the people of the land.(nas) 2Ki 25:3 ἐνάτῃ τοῦ μηνὸς καὶ ἐνίσχυσεν ὁ λιμὸς ἐν τῇ πόλει καὶ οὐκ ἦσαν ἄρτοι τῷ λαῷ τῆς γῆς (lxx) 2Ki 25:3 nona die mensis: prævaluitque fames in civitate, nec erat panis populo terræ.(vulgate) 3 ׃25 בְּתִשְׁעָ֣ה לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ וַיֶּחֱזַ֥ק הָרָעָ֖ב בָּעִ֑יר וְלֹא־הָ֥יָה לֶ֖חֶם לְעַ֥ם הָאָֽרֶץ׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:3 Aber am neunten Tag des (vierten) Monats ward der Hunger stark in der Stadt, daß das Volk des Landes nichts zu essen hatte.(dhs) 2Ki 25:3 By the ninth day of the fourth month the famine had become so severe in the city that there was no food for the people of the land.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:4 ============ 2Ki 25:4 Then the city was broken into, and all the men of war fled by night by way of the gate between the two walls beside the king's garden, though the Chaldeans were all around the city. And they went by way of the Arabah.(nas) 2Ki 25:4 καὶ ἐρράγη ἡ πόλις καὶ πάντες οἱ ἄνδρες τοῦ πολέμου ἐξῆλθον νυκτὸς ὁδὸν πύλης τῆς ἀνὰ μέσον τῶν τειχέων αὕτη ἥ ἐστιν τοῦ κήπου τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ οἱ Χαλδαῖοι ἐπὶ τὴν πόλιν κύκλῳ καὶ ἐπορεύθη ὁδὸν τὴν Αραβα (lxx) 2Ki 25:4 Et interrupta est civitas: et omnes viri bellatores nocte fugerunt per viam portæ quæ est inter duplicem murum ad hortum regis. Porro Chaldæi obsidebant in circuitu civitatem. Fugit itaque Sedecias per viam quæ ducit ad campestria solitudinis.(vulgate) 4 ׃25 וַתִּבָּקַ֣ע הָעִ֗יר וְכָל־אַנְשֵׁ֨י הַמִּלְחָמָ֤ה ׀ הַלַּ֙יְלָה֙ דֶּ֜רֶךְ שַׁ֣עַר ׀ בֵּ֣ין הַחֹמֹתַ֗יִם אֲשֶׁר֙ עַל־גַּ֣ן הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְכַשְׂדִּ֥ים עַל־הָעִ֖יר סָבִ֑יב וַיֵּ֖לֶךְ דֶּ֥רֶךְ הָעֲרָבָֽה׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:4 Da brach man in die Stadt; und alle Kriegsmänner flohen bei der Nacht auf dem Wege durch das Tor zwischen zwei Mauern, der zu des Königs Garten geht. Aber die Chaldäer lagen um die Stadt. Und er floh des Weges zum blachen Felde.(dhs) 2Ki 25:4 Then the city wall was broken through, and all the men of war fled at night by way of the gate between two walls, which was by the king's garden, even though the Chaldeans were still encamped all around against the city. And the king went by way of the plain.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:5 ============ 2Ki 25:5 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king and overtook him in the plains of Jericho and all his army was scattered from him.(nas) 2Ki 25:5 καὶ ἐδίωξεν ἡ δύναμις τῶν Χαλδαίων ὀπίσω τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ κατέλαβον αὐτὸν ἐν Αραβωθ Ιεριχω καὶ πᾶσα ἡ δύναμις αὐτοῦ διεσπάρη ἐπάνωθεν αὐτοῦ (lxx) 2Ki 25:5 Et persecutus est exercitus Chaldæorum regem, comprehenditque eum in planitie Jericho: et omnes bellatores qui erant cum eo, dispersi sunt, et reliquerunt eum.(vulgate) 5 ׃25 וַיִּרְדְּפ֤וּ חֵיל־כַּשְׂדִּים֙ אַחַ֣ר הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וַיַּשִּׂ֥גוּ אֹת֖וֹ בְּעַרְב֣וֹת יְרֵח֑וֹ וְכָל־חֵיל֔וֹ נָפֹ֖צוּ מֵעָלָֽיו׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:5 Aber die Macht der Chaldäer jagte dem König nach, und sie ergriffen ihn im blachen Felde zu Jericho, und alle Kriegsleute, die bei ihm waren, wurden von ihm zerstreut.(dhs) 2Ki 25:5 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king, and they overtook him in the plains of Jericho. All his army was scattered from him.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:6 ============ 2Ki 25:6 Then they captured the king and brought him to the king of Babylon at Riblah, and he passed sentence on him.(nas) 2Ki 25:6 καὶ συνέλαβον τὸν βασιλέα καὶ ἤγαγον αὐτὸν πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα Βαβυλῶνος εἰς Δεβλαθα καὶ ἐλάλησεν μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ κρίσιν (lxx) 2Ki 25:6 Apprehensum ergo regem duxerunt ad regem Babylonis in Reblatha: qui locutus est cum eo judicium.(vulgate) 6 ׃25 וַֽיִּתְפְּשׂוּ֙ אֶת־הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וַיַּעֲל֥וּ אֹת֛וֹ אֶל־מֶ֥לֶךְ בָּבֶ֖ל רִבְלָ֑תָה וַיְדַבְּר֥וּ אִתּ֖וֹ מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:6 Sie aber griffen den König und führten ihn hinauf zum König von Babel gen Ribla; und sie sprachen ein Urteil über ihn.(dhs) 2Ki 25:6 So they took the king and brought him up to the king of Babylon at Riblah, and they pronounced judgment on him.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:7 ============ 2Ki 25:7 They slaughtered the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, then put out the eyes of Zedekiah and bound him with bronze fetters and brought him to Babylon.(nas) 2Ki 25:7 καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς Σεδεκιου ἔσφαξεν κατ᾽ ὀφθαλμοὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς Σεδεκιου ἐξετύφλωσεν καὶ ἔδησεν αὐτὸν ἐν πέδαις καὶ ἤγαγεν αὐτὸν εἰς Βαβυλῶνα (lxx) 2Ki 25:7 Filios autem Sedeciæ occidit coram eo, et oculos ejus effodit, vinxitque eum catenis, et adduxit in Babylonem.~(vulgate) 7 ׃25 וְאֶת־בְּנֵי֙ צִדְקִיָּ֔הוּ שָׁחֲט֖וּ לְעֵינָ֑יו וְאֶת־עֵינֵ֤י צִדְקִיָּ֙הוּ֙ עִוֵּ֔ר וַיַּאַסְרֵ֙הוּ֙ בַּֽנְחֻשְׁתַּ֔יִם וַיְבִאֵ֖הוּ בָּבֶֽל׃ ס Kings2 2Ki 25:7 Und sie schlachteten die Kinder Zedekias vor seinen Augen und blendeten Zedekia die Augen und banden ihn mit Ketten und führten ihn gen Babel.(dhs) 2Ki 25:7 Then they killed the sons of Zedekiah before his eyes, put out the eyes of Zedekiah, bound him with bronze fetters, and took him to Babylon.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:8 ============ 2Ki 25:8 Now on the seventh day of the fifth month, which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar, king of Babylon, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.(nas) 2Ki 25:8 καὶ ἐν τῷ μηνὶ τῷ πέμπτῳ ἑβδόμῃ τοῦ μηνός αὐτὸς ἐνιαυτὸς ἐννεακαιδέκατος τῷ Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλεῖ Βαβυλῶνος ἦλθεν Ναβουζαρδαν ὁ ἀρχιμάγειρος ἑστὼς ἐνώπιον βασιλέως Βαβυλῶνος εἰς Ιερουσαλημ (lxx) 2Ki 25:8 Mense quinto, septima die mensis, ipse est annus nonusdecimus regis Babylonis, venit Nabuzardan princeps exercitus, servus regis Babylonis, in Jerusalem.(vulgate) 8 ׃25 וּבַחֹ֤דֶשׁ הֽ͏ַחֲמִישִׁי֙ בְּשִׁבְעָ֣ה לַחֹ֔דֶשׁ הִ֗יא שְׁנַת֙ תְּשַֽׁע־עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה לַמֶּ֖לֶךְ נְבֻכַדְנֶאצַּ֣ר מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֑ל בָּ֞א נְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֧ן רַב־טַבָּחִ֛ים עֶ֥בֶד מֶֽלֶךְ־בָּבֶ֖ל יְרוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:8 Am siebenten Tag des fünften Monats, das ist das neunzehnte Jahr Nebukadnezars, des Königs zu Babel, kam Nebusaradan, der Hauptmann der Trabanten, des Königs zu Babels Knecht, gen Jerusalem(dhs) 2Ki 25:8 And in the fifth month, on the seventh day of the month (which was the nineteenth year of King Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon), Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard, a servant of the king of Babylon, came to Jerusalem.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:9 ============ 2Ki 25:9 He burned the house of the Lord, the king's house, and all the houses of Jerusalem; even every great house he burned with fire.(nas) 2Ki 25:9 καὶ ἐνέπρησεν τὸν οἶκον κυρίου καὶ τὸν οἶκον τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ πάντας τοὺς οἴκους Ιερουσαλημ καὶ πᾶν οἶκον ἐνέπρησεν (lxx) 2Ki 25:9 Et succendit domum Domini, et domum regis: et domos Jerusalem, omnemque domum combussit igni.(vulgate) 9 ׃25 וַיִּשְׂרֹ֥ף אֶת־בֵּית־יְהוָ֖ה וְאֶת־בֵּ֣ית הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וְאֵ֨ת כָּל־בָּתֵּ֧י יְרוּשָׁלַ֛͏ִם וְאֶת־כָּל־בֵּ֥ית גָּד֖וֹל שָׂרַ֥ף בָּאֵֽשׁ׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:9 und verbrannte das Haus des HERRN und das Haus des Königs und alle Häuser zu Jerusalem; alle großen Häuser verbrannte er mit Feuer.(dhs) 2Ki 25:9 He burned the house of the Lord and the king's house; all the houses of Jerusalem, that is, all the houses of the great, he burned with fire.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:10 ============ 2Ki 25:10 So all the army of the Chaldeans who were with the captain of the guard broke down the walls around Jerusalem.(nas) 2Ki 25:10 ὁ ἀρχιμάγειρος (lxx) 2Ki 25:10 Et muros Jerusalem in circuitu destruxit omnis exercitus Chaldæorum, qui erat cum principe militum.(vulgate) 10 ׃25 וְאֶת־חוֹמֹ֥ת יְרוּשָׁלַ֖͏ִם סָבִ֑יב נָֽתְצוּ֙ כָּל־חֵ֣יל כַּשְׂדִּ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר רַב־טַבָּחִֽים׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:10 Und die ganze Macht der Chaldäer, die mit dem Hauptmann war, zerbrach die Mauer um Jerusalem her.(dhs) 2Ki 25:10 And all the army of the Chaldeans who were with the captain of the guard broke down the walls of Jerusalem all around.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:11 ============ 2Ki 25:11 Then the rest of the people who were left in the city and the deserters who had deserted to the king of Babylon and the rest of the people, Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away into exile.(nas) 2Ki 25:11 καὶ τὸ περισσὸν τοῦ λαοῦ τὸ καταλειφθὲν ἐν τῇ πόλει καὶ τοὺς ἐμπεπτωκότας οἳ ἐνέπεσον πρὸς βασιλέα Βαβυλῶνος καὶ τὸ λοιπὸν τοῦ στηρίγματος μετῆρεν Ναβουζαρδαν ὁ ἀρχιμάγειρος (lxx) 2Ki 25:11 Reliquam autem populi partem quæ remanserat in civitate, et perfugas qui transfugerant ad regem Babylonis, et reliquum vulgus transtulit Nabuzardan princeps militiæ.(vulgate) 11 ׃25 וְאֵת֩ יֶ֨תֶר הָעָ֜ם הַנִּשְׁאָרִ֣ים בָּעִ֗יר וְאֶת־הַנֹּֽפְלִים֙ אֲשֶׁ֤ר נָפְלוּ֙ עַל־הַמֶּ֣לֶךְ בָּבֶ֔ל וְאֵ֖ת יֶ֣תֶר הֶהָמ֑וֹן הֶגְלָ֕ה נְבוּזַרְאֲדָ֖ן רַב־טַבָּחִֽים׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:11 Das andere Volk aber, das übrig war in der Stadt, und die zum König von Babel fielen, und den andern Haufen führte Nebusaradan, der Hauptmann, weg.(dhs) 2Ki 25:11 Then Nebuzaradan the captain of the guard carried away captive the rest of the people who remained in the city and the defectors who had deserted to the king of Babylon, with the rest of the multitude.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:12 ============ 2Ki 25:12 But the captain of the guard left some of the poorest of the land to be vinedressers and plowmen.(nas) 2Ki 25:12 καὶ ἀπὸ τῶν πτωχῶν τῆς γῆς ὑπέλιπεν ὁ ἀρχιμάγειρος εἰς ἀμπελουργοὺς καὶ εἰς γαβιν (lxx) 2Ki 25:12 Et de pauperibus terræ reliquit vinitores et agricolas.(vulgate) 12 ׃25 וּמִדַּלַּ֣ת הָאָ֔רֶץ הִשְׁאִ֖יר רַב־טַבָּחִ֑ים לְכֹֽרְמִ֖ים וּלְיֹגְבִֽים׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:12 Und von den Geringsten im Lande ließ der Hauptmann Weingärtner und Ackerleute.(dhs) 2Ki 25:12 But the captain of the guard left some of the poor of the land as vinedressers and farmers.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:13 ============ 2Ki 25:13 Now the bronze pillars which were in the house of the Lord, and the stands and the bronze sea which were in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans broke in pieces and carried the bronze to Babylon.(nas) 2Ki 25:13 καὶ τοὺς στύλους τοὺς χαλκοῦς τοὺς ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου καὶ τὰς μεχωνωθ καὶ τὴν θάλασσαν τὴν χαλκῆν τὴν ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου συνέτριψαν οἱ Χαλδαῖοι καὶ ἦραν τὸν χαλκὸν αὐτῶν εἰς Βαβυλῶνα (lxx) 2Ki 25:13 Columnas autem æreas quæ erant in templo Domini, et bases, et mare æreum quod erat in domo Domini, confregerunt Chaldæi, et transtulerunt æs omne in Babylonem.(vulgate) 13 ׃25 וְאֶת־עַמּוּדֵ֨י הַנְּחֹ֜שֶׁת אֲשֶׁ֣ר בֵּית־יְהוָ֗ה וְֽאֶת־הַמְּכֹנ֞וֹת וְאֶת־יָ֧ם הַנְּחֹ֛שֶׁת אֲשֶׁ֥ר בְּבֵית־יְהוָ֖ה שִׁבְּ֣רוּ כַשְׂדִּ֑ים וַיִּשְׂא֥וּ אֶת־נְחֻשְׁתָּ֖ם בָּבֶֽלָה׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:13 Aber die ehernen Säulen am Hause des HERRN und die Gestühle und das eherne Meer, das am Hause des HERRN war, zerbrachen die Chaldäer und führten das Erz gen Babel.(dhs) 2Ki 25:13 The bronze pillars that were in the house of the Lord, and the carts and the bronze Sea that were in the house of the Lord, the Chaldeans broke in pieces, and carried their bronze to Babylon.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:14 ============ 2Ki 25:14 They took away the pots, the shovels, the snuffers, the spoons, and all the bronze vessels which were used in temple service.(nas) 2Ki 25:14 καὶ τοὺς λέβητας καὶ τὰ ιαμιν καὶ τὰς φιάλας καὶ τὰς θυίσκας καὶ πάντα τὰ σκεύη τὰ χαλκᾶ ἐν οἷς λειτουργοῦσιν ἐν αὐτοῖς ἔλαβεν (lxx) 2Ki 25:14 Ollas quoque æreas, et trullas, et tridentes, et scyphos, et mortariola, et omnia vasa ærea, in quibus ministrabant, tulerunt.(vulgate) 14 ׃25 וְאֶת־הַסִּירֹ֨ת וְאֶת־הַיָּעִ֜ים וְאֶת־הַֽמְזַמְּר֣וֹת וְאֶת־הַכַּפּ֗וֹת וְאֵ֨ת כָּל־כְּלֵ֧י הַנְּחֹ֛שֶׁת אֲשֶׁ֥ר יְשָֽׁרְתוּ־בָ֖ם לָקָֽחוּ׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:14 Und die Töpfe, Schaufeln, Messer, Löffel und alle ehernen Gefäße, womit man diente, nahmen sie weg.(dhs) 2Ki 25:14 They also took away the pots, the shovels, the trimmers, the spoons, and all the bronze utensils with which the priests ministered.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:15 ============ 2Ki 25:15 The captain of the guard also took away the firepans and the basins, what was fine gold and what was fine silver.(nas) 2Ki 25:15 καὶ τὰ πυρεῖα καὶ τὰς φιάλας τὰς χρυσᾶς καὶ τὰς ἀργυρᾶς ἔλαβεν ὁ ἀρχιμάγειρος (lxx) 2Ki 25:15 Necnon et thuribula, et phialas: quæ aurea, aurea, et quæ argentea, argentea tulit princeps militiæ,(vulgate) 15 ׃25 וְאֶת־הַמַּחְתּוֹת֙ וְאֶת־הַמִּזְרָק֗ות אֲשֶׁ֤ר זָהָב֙ זָהָ֔ב וַאֲשֶׁר־כֶּ֖סֶף כָּ֑סֶף לָקַ֖ח רַב־טַבָּחִֽים׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:15 Dazu nahm der Hauptmann die Pfannen und Becken, was golden und silbern war,(dhs) 2Ki 25:15 The firepans and the basins, the things of solid gold and solid silver, the captain of the guard took away.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:16 ============ 2Ki 25:16 The two pillars, the one sea, and the stands which Solomon had made for the house of the Lord—the bronze of all these vessels was beyond weight.(nas) 2Ki 25:16 στύλους δύο ἡ θάλασσα ἡ μία καὶ τὰ μεχωνωθ ἃ ἐποίησεν Σαλωμων τῷ οἴκῳ κυρίου οὐκ ἦν σταθμὸς τοῦ χαλκοῦ πάντων τῶν σκευῶν (lxx) 2Ki 25:16 id est, columnas duas, mare unum, et bases quas fecerat Salomon in templo Domini: non erat pondus æris omnium vasorum.(vulgate) 16 ׃25 הָעַמּוּדִ֣ים ׀ שְׁנַ֗יִם הַיָּ֤ם הָֽאֶחָד֙ וְהַמְּכֹנ֔וֹת אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂ֥ה שְׁלֹמֹ֖ה לְבֵ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה לֹא־הָיָ֣ה מִשְׁקָ֔ל לִנְחֹ֖שֶׁת כָּל־הַכֵּלִ֥ים הָאֵֽלֶּה׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:16 die zwei Säulen, das Meer und das Gestühle, das Salomo gemacht hatte zum Hause des HERRN. denn sie fürchteten sich vor den Chaldäern.(dhs) 2Ki 25:26 And all the people, small and great, and the captains of the armies, arose and went to Egypt; for they were afraid of the Chaldeans.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:27 ============ 2Ki 25:27 Now it came about in the thirty-seventh year of the exile of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, that Evil-merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he became king, released Jehoiachin king of Judah from prison;(nas) 2Ki 25:27 καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν τῷ τριακοστῷ καὶ ἑβδόμῳ ἔτει τῆς ἀποικεσίας τοῦ Ιωακιμ βασιλέως Ιουδα ἐν τῷ δωδεκάτῳ μηνὶ ἑβδόμῃ καὶ εἰκάδι τοῦ μηνὸς ὕψωσεν Ευιλμαρωδαχ βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος ἐν τῷ ἐνιαυτῷ τῆς βασιλείας αὐτοῦ τὴν κεφαλὴν Ιωακιμ βασιλέως Ιουδα καὶ ἐξήγαγεν αὐτὸν ἐξ οἴκου φυλακῆς αὐτοῦ (lxx) 2Ki 25:27 Factum est vero in anno trigesimo septimo transmigrationis Joachin regis Juda, mense duodecimo, vigesima septima die mensis: sublevavit Evilmerodach rex Babylonis, anno quo regnare cœperat, caput Joachin regis Juda de carcere.(vulgate) 27 ׃25 וַיְהִי֩ בִשְׁלֹשִׁ֨ים וָשֶׁ֜בַע שָׁנָ֗ה לְגָלוּת֙ יְהוֹיָכִ֣ין מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָ֔ה בִּשְׁנֵ֤ים עָשָׂר֙ חֹ֔דֶשׁ בְּעֶשְׂרִ֥ים וְשִׁבְעָ֖ה לַחֹ֑דֶשׁ נָשָׂ֡א אֱוִ֣יל מְרֹדַךְ֩ מֶ֨לֶךְ בָּבֶ֜ל בִּשְׁנַ֣ת מָלְכ֗וֹ אֶת־רֹ֛אשׁ יְהוֹיָכִ֥ין מֶֽלֶךְ־יְהוּדָ֖ה מִבֵּ֥ית כֶּֽלֶא׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:27 Aber im siebenunddreißigsten Jahr, nachdem Jojachin, der König Juda's, weggeführt war, am siebenundzwanzigsten Tag des zwölften Monats, hob Evil-Merodach, der König zu Babel im ersten Jahr seines Königreichs das Haupt Jojachins, des Königs Juda's, aus dem Kerker hervor(dhs) 2Ki 25:27 Now it came to pass in the thirty-seventh year of the captivity of Jehoiachin king of Judah, in the twelfth month, on the twenty-seventh day of the month, that Evil-Merodach king of Babylon, in the year that he began to reign, released Jehoiachin king of Judah from prison.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:28 ============ 2Ki 25:28 and he spoke kindly to him and set his throne above the throne of the kings who were with him in Babylon.(nas) 2Ki 25:28 καὶ ἐλάλησεν μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἀγαθὰ καὶ ἔδωκεν τὸν θρόνον αὐτοῦ ἐπάνωθεν τῶν θρόνων τῶν βασιλέων τῶν μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ ἐν Βαβυλῶνι (lxx) 2Ki 25:28 Et locutus est ei benigne, et posuit thronum ejus super thronum regum qui erant cum eo in Babylone.(vulgate) 28 ׃25 וַיְדַבֵּ֥ר אִתּ֖וֹ טֹב֑וֹת וַיִּתֵּן֙ אֶת־כִּסְא֔וֹ מֵעַ֗ל כִּסֵּ֧א הַמְּלָכִ֛ים אֲשֶׁ֥ר אִתּ֖וֹ בְּבָבֶֽל׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:28 und redete freundlich mit ihm und setzte seinen Stuhl über die Stühle der Könige, die bei ihm waren zu Babel,(dhs) 2Ki 25:28 He spoke kindly to him, and gave him a more prominent seat than those of the kings who were with him in Babylon.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:29 ============ 2Ki 25:29 Jehoiachin changed his prison clothes and had his meals in the king's presence regularly all the days of his life;(nas) 2Ki 25:29 καὶ ἠλλοίωσεν τὰ ἱμάτια τῆς φυλακῆς αὐτοῦ καὶ ἤσθιεν ἄρτον διὰ παντὸς ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς αὐτοῦ (lxx) 2Ki 25:29 Et mutavit vestes ejus quas habuerat in carcere, et comedebat panem semper in conspectu ejus cunctis diebus vitæ suæ.(vulgate) 29 ׃25 וְשִׁנָּ֕א אֵ֖ת בִּגְדֵ֣י כִלְא֑וֹ וְאָכַ֨ל לֶ֧חֶם תָּמִ֛יד לְפָנָ֖יו כָּל־יְמֵ֥י חַיָּֽיו׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:29 und wandelte die Kleider seines Gefängnisses, und er aß allewege vor ihm sein Leben lang;(dhs) 2Ki 25:29 So Jehoiachin changed from his prison garments, and he ate bread regularly before the king all the days of his life.(nkjv) ======= 2 Kings 25:30 ============ 2Ki 25:30 and for his allowance, a regular allowance was given him by the king, a portion for each day, all the days of his life.(nas) 2Ki 25:30 καὶ ἡ ἑστιατορία αὐτοῦ ἑστιατορία διὰ παντὸς ἐδόθη αὐτῷ ἐξ οἴκου τοῦ βασιλέως λόγον ἡμέρας ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ αὐτοῦ πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς αὐτοῦ (lxx) 2Ki 25:30 Annonam quoque constituit ei sine intermissione, quæ et dabatur ei a rege per singulos dies omnibus diebus vitæ suæ.(vulgate) 30 ׃25 וַאֲרֻחָת֗וֹ אֲרֻחַ֨ת תָּמִ֧יד נִתְּנָה־לּ֛וֹ מֵאֵ֥ת הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ דְּבַר־י֣וֹם בְּיוֹמ֑וֹ כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֥י חַיָּֽו׃ Kings2 2Ki 25:30 und es ward ihm ein Teil bestimmt, das man ihm allewege gab vom König, auf einen jeglichen Tag sein ganzes Leben lang.(dhs) 2Ki 25:30 And as for his provisions, there was a regular ration given him by the king, a portion for each day, all the days of his life.(nkjv) top of the page
