Today's Date: ======= 2 Chronicles 27:1 ============ 2Ch 27:1 Jotham was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. And his mother's name was Jerushah the daughter of Zadok.(nas) 2Ch 27:1 υἱὸς εἴκοσι πέντε ἐτῶν Ιωαθαμ ἐν τῷ βασιλεῦσαι αὐτὸν καὶ δέκα ἓξ ἔτη ἐβασίλευσεν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ὄνομα τῆς μητρὸς αὐτοῦ Ιερουσα θυγάτηρ Σαδωκ (lxx) 2Ch 27:1 Viginti quinque annorum erat Joatham cum regnare cœpisset, et sedecim annis regnavit in Jerusalem: nomen matris ejus Jerusa filia Sadoc.(vulgate) 1 ׃27 בֶּן־עֶשְׂרִ֨ים וְחָמֵ֤שׁ שָׁנָה֙ יוֹתָ֣ם בְּמָלְכ֔וֹ וְשֵׁשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּֽירוּשָׁלָ֑͏ִם וְשֵׁ֣ם אִמּ֔וֹ יְרוּשָׁ֖ה בַּת־צָדֽוֹק׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 27:1 Jotham war fünfundzwanzig Jahre alt, da er König ward, und regierte sechzehn Jahre zu Jerusalem. But the people continued acting corruptly.(nas) 2Ch 27:2 καὶ ἐποίησεν τὸ εὐθὲς ἐνώπιον κυρίου κατὰ πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησεν Οζιας ὁ πατὴρ αὐτοῦ ἀλλ᾽ οὐκ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸν ναὸν κυρίου καὶ ἔτι ὁ λαὸς κατεφθείρετο (lxx) 2Ch 27:2 Fecitque quod rectum erat coram Domino, juxta omnia quæ fecerat Ozias pater suus, excepto quod non est ingressus templum Domini: et adhuc populus delinquebat.(vulgate) 2 ׃27 וַיַּ֨עַשׂ הַיָּשָׁ֜ר בְּעֵינֵ֣י יְהוָ֗ה כְּכֹ֤ל אֲשֶׁר־עָשָׂה֙ עֻזִּיָּ֣הוּ אָבִ֔יו רַ֕ק לֹא־בָ֖א אֶל־הֵיכַ֣ל יְהוָ֑ה וְע֥וֹד הָעָ֖ם מַשְׁחִיתִֽים׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 27:2 Und er tat, was dem HERRN wohl gefiel, ganz wie sein Vater Usia getan hatte, nur ging er nicht in den Tempel des HERRN; das Volk aber verderbte sich noch immer.(dhs) 2Ch 27:2 And he did what was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that his father Uzziah had done (although he did not enter the temple of the Lord). But still the people acted corruptly.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 27:3 ============ 2Ch 27:3 He built the upper gate of the house of the Lord, and he built extensively the wall of Ophel.(nas) 2Ch 27:3 αὐτὸς ᾠκοδόμησεν τὴν πύλην οἴκου κυρίου τὴν ὑψηλὴν καὶ ἐν τείχει τοῦ Οφλα ᾠκοδόμησεν πολλά (lxx) 2Ch 27:3 Ipse ædificavit portam domus Domini excelsam, et in muro Ophel multa construxit.(vulgate) 3 ׃27 ה֗וּא בָּנָ֛ה אֶת־שַׁ֥עַר בֵּית־יְהוָ֖ה הָעֶלְי֑וֹן וּבְחוֹמַ֥ת הָעֹ֛פֶל בָּנָ֖ה לָרֹֽב׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 27:3 Er baute das obere Tor am Hause des HERRN, und an der Mauer des Ophel baute er viel,(dhs) 2Ch 27:3 He built the Upper Gate of the house of the Lord, and he built extensively on the wall of Ophel.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 27:4 ============ 2Ch 27:4 Moreover, he built cities in the hill country of Judah, and he built fortresses and towers on the wooded hills.(nas) 2Ch 27:4 καὶ πόλεις ᾠκοδόμησεν ἐν ὄρει Ιουδα καὶ ἐν τοῖς δρυμοῖς καὶ οἰκήσεις καὶ πύργους (lxx) 2Ch 27:4 Urbes quoque ædificavit in montibus Juda, et in saltibus castella et turres.(vulgate) 4 ׃27 וְעָרִ֥ים בָּנָ֖ה בְּהַר־יְהוּדָ֑ה וּבֶחֳרָשִׁ֣ים בָּנָ֔ה בִּֽירָינִיּ֖וֹת וּמִגְדָּלִֽים׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 27:4 und baute die Städte auf dem Gebirge Juda, und in den Wäldern baute er Burgen und Türme.(dhs) 2Ch 27:4 Moreover he built cities in the mountains of Judah, and in the forests he built fortresses and towers.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 27:5 ============ 2Ch 27:5 He fought also with the king of the Ammonites and prevailed over them so that the Ammonites gave him during that year one hundred talents of silver, ten thousand kors of wheat and ten thousand of barley. The Ammonites also paid him this amount in the second and in the third year.(nas) 2Ch 27:5 αὐτὸς ἐμαχέσατο πρὸς βασιλέα υἱῶν Αμμων καὶ κατίσχυσεν ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν καὶ ἐδίδουν αὐτῷ οἱ υἱοὶ Αμμων κατ᾽ ἐνιαυτὸν ἑκατὸν τάλαντα ἀργυρίου καὶ δέκα χιλιάδας κόρων πυροῦ καὶ κριθῶν δέκα χιλιάδας ταῦτα ἔφερεν αὐτῷ βασιλεὺς Αμμων κατ᾽ ἐνιαυτὸν ἐν τῷ πρώτῳ ἔτει καὶ τῷ δευτέρῳ καὶ τῷ τρίτῳ (lxx) 2Ch 27:5 Ipse pugnavit contra regem filiorum Ammon, et vicit eos, dederuntque ei filii Ammon in tempore illo centum talenta argenti, et decem millia coros tritici, ac totidem coros hordei: hæc ei præbuerunt filii Ammon in anno secundo et tertio.(vulgate) 5 ׃27 וְ֠הוּא נִלְחַ֞ם עִם־מֶ֣לֶךְ בְּנֵי־עַמּוֹן֮ וַיֶּחֱזַ֣ק עֲלֵיהֶם֒ וַיִּתְּנוּ־ל֨וֹ בְנֵֽי־עַמּ֜וֹן בַּשָּׁנָ֣ה הַהִ֗יא מֵאָה֙ כִּכַּר־כֶּ֔סֶף וַעֲשֶׂ֨רֶת אֲלָפִ֤ים כֹּרִים֙ חִטִּ֔ים וּשְׂעוֹרִ֖ים עֲשֶׂ֣רֶת אֲלָפִ֑ים זֹ֗את הֵשִׁ֤יבוּ לוֹ֙ בְּנֵ֣י עַמּ֔וֹן ס וּבַשָּׁנָ֥ה הַשֵּׁנִ֖ית וְהַשְּׁלִשִֽׁית׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 27:5 Und er stritt mit dem König der Kinder Ammon, und ward ihrer mächtig, daß ihm die Kinder Ammon dasselbe Jahr gaben hundert Zentner Silber, zehntausend Kor Weizen und zehntausend Kor Gerste. So viel gaben ihm die Kinder Ammon auch im zweiten und im dritten Jahr.(dhs) 2Ch 27:5 He also fought with the king of the Ammonites and defeated them. And the people of Ammon gave him in that year one hundred talents of silver, ten thousand kors of wheat, and ten thousand of barley. The people of Ammon paid this to him in the second and third years also.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 27:6 ============ 2Ch 27:6 So Jotham became mighty because he ordered his ways before the Lord his God.(nas) 2Ch 27:6 καὶ κατίσχυσεν Ιωαθαμ ὅτι ἡτοίμασεν τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτοῦ ἔναντι κυρίου θεοῦ αὐτοῦ (lxx) 2Ch 27:6 Corroboratusque est Joatham, eo quod direxisset vias suas coram Domino Deo suo.(vulgate) 6 ׃27 וַיִּתְחַזֵּ֖ק יוֹתָ֑ם כִּ֚י הֵכִ֣ין דְּרָכָ֔יו לִפְנֵ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽיו׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 27:6 Also ward Jotham mächtig; denn er richtete seine Wege vor dem HERRN, seinem Gott.(dhs) 2Ch 27:6 So Jotham became mighty, because he prepared his ways before the Lord his God.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 27:7 ============ 2Ch 27:7 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, even all his wars and his acts, behold, they are written in the Book of the Kings of Israel and Judah.(nas) 2Ch 27:7 καὶ οἱ λοιποὶ λόγοι Ιωαθαμ καὶ ὁ πόλεμος καὶ αἱ πράξεις αὐτοῦ ἰδοὺ γεγραμμένοι ἐπὶ βιβλίῳ βασιλέων Ιουδα καὶ Ισραηλ (lxx) 2Ch 27:7 Reliqua autem sermonum Joatham, et omnes pugnæ ejus et opera, scripta sunt in libro regum Israël et Juda.(vulgate) 7 ׃27 וְיֶתֶר֙ דִּבְרֵ֣י יוֹתָ֔ם וְכָל־מִלְחֲמֹתָ֖יו וּדְרָכָ֑יו הִנָּ֣ם כְּתוּבִ֔ים עַל־סֵ֥פֶר מַלְכֵֽי־יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל וִיהוּדָֽה׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 27:7 Was aber mehr von Jotham zu sagen ist und alle seine Streite und seine Wege, siehe, das ist geschrieben im Buch der Könige Israels und Juda's.(dhs) 2Ch 27:7 Now the rest of the acts of Jotham, and all his wars and his ways, indeed they are written in the book of the kings of Israel and Judah.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 27:8 ============ 2Ch 27:8 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.(nas) 2Ch 27:8 LXX differs (lxx) 2Ch 27:8 Viginti quinque annorum erat cum regnare cœpisset, et sedecim annis regnavit in Jerusalem.(vulgate) 8 ׃27 בֶּן־עֶשְׂרִ֧ים וְחָמֵ֛שׁ שָׁנָ֖ה הָיָ֣ה בְמָלְכ֑וֹ וְשֵׁשׁ־עֶשְׂרֵ֣ה שָׁנָ֔ה מָלַ֖ךְ בִּירוּשָׁלָֽ͏ִם׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 27:8 Fünfundzwanzig Jahre alt war er, da er König ward, und regierte sechzehn Jahre zu Jerusalem.(dhs) 2Ch 27:8 He was twenty-five years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 27:9 ============ 2Ch 27:9 And Jotham slept with his fathers, and they buried him in the city of David; and Ahaz his son became king in his place.(nas) 2Ch 27:9 καὶ ἐκοιμήθη Ιωαθαμ μετὰ τῶν πατέρων αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐτάφη ἐν πόλει Δαυιδ καὶ ἐβασίλευσεν Αχαζ υἱὸς αὐτοῦ ἀντ᾽ αὐτοῦ (lxx) 2Ch 27:9 Dormivitque Joatham cum patribus suis, et sepelierunt eum in civitate David: et regnavit Achaz filius ejus pro eo.(vulgate) 9 ׃27 וַיִּשְׁכַּ֤ב יוֹתָם֙ עִם־אֲבֹתָ֔יו וַיִּקְבְּר֥וּ אֹת֖וֹ בְּעִ֣יר דָּוִ֑יד וַיִּמְלֹ֛ךְ אָחָ֥ז בְּנ֖וֹ תַּחְתָּֽיו׃ פ Chronicles2 2Ch 27:9 Und Jotham entschlief mit seinen Vätern, und sie begruben ihn in der Stadt Davids. Und sein Sohn Ahas ward König an seiner Statt.(dhs) 2Ch 27:9 So Jotham rested with his fathers, and they buried him in the City of David.
