Today's Date: ======= 2 Chronicles 35:1 ============ 2Ch 35:1 Then Josiah celebrated the Passover to the Lord in Jerusalem, and they slaughtered the Passover animals on the fourteenth day of the first month.(nas) 2Ch 35:1 καὶ ἐποίησεν Ιωσιας τὸ φασεχ τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔθυσαν τὸ φασεχ τῇ τεσσαρεσκαιδεκάτῃ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ πρώτου (lxx) 2Ch 35:1 Fecit autem Josias in Jerusalem Phase Domino, quod immolatum est quartadecima die mensis primi:(vulgate) 1 ׃35 וַיַּ֨עַשׂ יֹאשִׁיָּ֧הוּ בִֽירוּשָׁלַ֛͏ִם פֶּ֖סַח לַיהוָ֑ה וַיִּשְׁחֲט֣וּ הַפֶּ֔סַח בְּאַרְבָּעָ֥ה עָשָׂ֖ר לַחֹ֥דֶשׁ הָרִאשֽׁוֹן׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 35:1 Und Josia hielt dem HERRN Passah zu Jerusalem, und sie schlachteten das Passah am vierzehnten Tage des ersten Monats.(dhs) 2Ch 35:1 Now Josiah kept a Passover to the Lord in Jerusalem, and they slaughtered the Passover lambs on the fourteenth day of the first month.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 35:2 ============ 2Ch 35:2 He set the priests in their offices and encouraged them in the service of the house of the Lord.(nas) 2Ch 35:2 καὶ ἔστησεν τοὺς ἱερεῖς ἐπὶ τὰς φυλακὰς αὐτῶν καὶ κατίσχυσεν αὐτοὺς εἰς τὰ ἔργα οἴκου κυρίου (lxx) 2Ch 35:2 et constituit sacerdotes in officiis suis, hortatusque est eos ut ministrarent in domo Domini:(vulgate) 2 ׃35 וַיַּעֲמֵ֥ד הַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים עַל־מִשְׁמְרוֹתָ֑ם וַֽיְחַזְּקֵ֔ם לַעֲבוֹדַ֖ת בֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 35:2 Und er bestellte die Priester zu ihrem Dienst und stärkte sie zu ihrem Amt im Hause des HERRN(dhs) 2Ch 35:2 And he set the priests in their duties and encouraged them for the service of the house of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 35:3 ============ 2Ch 35:3 He also said to the Levites who taught all Israel and who were holy to the Lord, "Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David king of Israel built; it will be a burden on your shoulders no longer. Now serve the Lord your God and His people Israel.(nas) 2Ch 35:3 καὶ εἶπεν τοῖς Λευίταις τοῖς δυνατοῖς ἐν παντὶ Ισραηλ τοῦ ἁγιασθῆναι αὐτοὺς τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ ἔθηκαν τὴν κιβωτὸν τὴν ἁγίαν εἰς τὸν οἶκον ὃν ᾠκοδόμησεν Σαλωμων υἱὸς Δαυιδ τοῦ βασιλέως Ισραηλ καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεύς οὐκ ἔστιν ὑμῖν ἆραι ἐπ᾽ ὤμων οὐθέν νῦν οὖν λειτουργήσατε τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ ὑμῶν καὶ τῷ λαῷ αὐτοῦ Ισραηλ (lxx) 2Ch 35:3 Levitis quoque, ad quorum eruditionem omnis Israël sanctificabatur Domino, locutus est: Ponite arcam in sanctuario templi, quod ædificavit Salomon filius David rex Israël, nequaquam enim eam ultra portabitis: nunc autem ministrate Domino Deo vestro, et populo ejus Israël.(vulgate) 3 ׃35 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לַ֠לְוִיִּם *המבונים **הַמְּבִינִ֨ים לְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל הַקְּדוֹשִׁ֣ים לַיהוָ֗ה תְּנ֤וּ אֶת־אֲרוֹן־הַקֹּ֙דֶשׁ֙ בַּ֠בַּיִת אֲשֶׁ֨ר בָּנָ֜ה שְׁלֹמֹ֤ה בֶן־דָּוִיד֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל אֵין־לָכֶ֥ם מַשָּׂ֖א בַּכָּתֵ֑ף עַתָּ֗ה עִבְדוּ֙ אֶת־יְהוָ֣ה אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֔ם וְאֵ֖ת עַמּ֥וֹ יִשְׂרָאֵֽל׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 35:3 und sprach zu den Leviten, die ganz Israel lehrten und dem HERRN geheiligt waren: Tut die heilige Lade ins Haus das Salomo, der Sohn Davids, der König Israels, gebaut hat. Ihr sollt sie nicht auf den Schultern tragen. So dienet nun dem HERRN, eurem Gott, und seinem Volk Israel(dhs) 2Ch 35:3 Then he said to the Levites who taught all Israel, who were holy to the Lord: "Put the holy ark in the house which Solomon the son of David, king of Israel, built. Now serve the Lord your God and His people Israel.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 35:4 ============ 2Ch 35:4 Prepare yourselves by your fathers' households in your divisions, according to the writing of David king of Israel and according to the writing of his son Solomon.(nas) 2Ch 35:4 καὶ ἑτοιμάσθητε κατ᾽ οἴκους πατριῶν ὑμῶν καὶ κατὰ τὰς ἐφημερίας ὑμῶν κατὰ τὴν γραφὴν Δαυιδ βασιλέως Ισραηλ καὶ διὰ χειρὸς Σαλωμων υἱοῦ αὐτοῦ (lxx) 2Ch 35:4 Et præparate vos per domos et cognationes vestras in divisionibus singulorum, sicut præcepit David rex Israël, et descripsit Salomon filius ejus.(vulgate) 4 ׃35 וְהָכִ֥ונוּ לְבֵית־אֲבוֹתֵיכֶ֖ם כְּמַחְלְקוֹתֵיכֶ֑ם בִּכְתָ֗ב דָּוִיד֙ מֶ֣לֶךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וּבְמִכְתַּ֖ב שְׁלֹמֹ֥ה בְנֽוֹ׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 35:4 und bereitet euch nach euren Vaterhäusern in euren Ordnungen, wie sie vorgeschrieben sind von David, dem König Israels, und seinem Sohn Salomo,(dhs) 2Ch 35:4 Prepare yourselves according to your fathers' houses, according to your divisions, following the written instruction of David king of Israel and the written instruction of Solomon his son.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 35:5 ============ 2Ch 35:5 Moreover, stand in the holy place according to the sections of the fathers' households of your brethren the lay people, and according to the Levites, by division of a father's household.(nas) 2Ch 35:5 καὶ στῆτε ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ κατὰ τὰς διαιρέσεις οἴκων πατριῶν ὑμῶν τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς ὑμῶν υἱοῖς τοῦ λαοῦ καὶ μερὶς οἴκου πατριᾶς τοῖς Λευίταις (lxx) 2Ch 35:5 Et ministrate in sanctuario per familias turmasque Leviticas,(vulgate) 5 ׃35 וְעִמְד֣וּ בַקֹּ֗דֶשׁ לִפְלֻגּוֹת֙ בֵּ֣ית הָֽאָב֔וֹת לַאֲחֵיכֶ֖ם בְּנֵ֣י הָעָ֑ם וַחֲלֻקַּ֥ת בֵּֽית־אָ֖ב לַלְוִיִּֽם׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 35:5 und steht im Heiligtum nach den Ordnungen der Vaterhäuser eurer Brüder, vom Volk geboren, je eine Ordnung eines Vaterhauses der Leviten,(dhs) 2Ch 35:5 And stand in the holy place according to the divisions of the fathers' houses of your brethren the lay people, and according to the division of the father's house of the Levites.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 35:6 ============ 2Ch 35:6 Now slaughter the Passover animals, sanctify yourselves and prepare for your brethren to do according to the word of the Lord by Moses."(nas) 2Ch 35:6 καὶ θύσατε τὸ φασεχ καὶ τὰ ἅγια ἑτοιμάσατε τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς ὑμῶν τοῦ ποιῆσαι κατὰ τὸν λόγον κυρίου διὰ χειρὸς Μωυσῆ (lxx) 2Ch 35:6 et sanctificati immolate Phase: fratres etiam vestros, ut possint juxta verba quæ locutus est Dominus in manu Moysi facere, præparate.(vulgate) 6 ׃35 וְשַׁחֲט֖וּ הַפָּ֑סַח וְהִתְקַדְּשׁוּ֙ וְהָכִ֣ינוּ לַאֲחֵיכֶ֔ם לַעֲשׂ֥וֹת כִּדְבַר־יְהוָ֖ה בְּיַד־מֹשֶֽׁה׃ פ Chronicles2 2Ch 35:6 und schlachtet das Passah und heiligt euch und bereitet es für eure Brüder, daß sie tun nach dem Wort des HERRN durch Mose.(dhs) 2Ch 35:6 So slaughter the Passover offerings, consecrate yourselves, and prepare them for your brethren, that they may do according to the word of the Lord by the hand of Moses."(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 35:7 ============ 2Ch 35:7 Josiah contributed to the lay people, to all who were present, flocks of lambs and young goats, all for the Passover offerings, numbering 30,000 plus 3,000 bulls; these were from the king's possessions.(nas) 2Ch 35:7 καὶ ἀπήρξατο Ιωσιας τοῖς υἱοῖς τοῦ λαοῦ πρόβατα καὶ ἀμνοὺς καὶ ἐρίφους ἀπὸ τῶν τέκνων τῶν αἰγῶν πάντα εἰς τὸ φασεχ εἰς πάντας τοὺς εὑρεθέντας εἰς ἀριθμὸν τριάκοντα χιλιάδας καὶ μόσχων τρεῖς χιλιάδας ταῦτα ἀπὸ τῆς ὑπάρξεως τοῦ βασιλέως (lxx) 2Ch 35:7 Dedit præterea Josias omni populo qui ibi fuerat inventus in solemnitate Phase, agnos et hædos de gregibus et reliqui pecoris triginta millia, boum quoque tria millia: hæc de regis universa substantia.(vulgate) 7 ׃35 וַיָּ֣רֶם יֹאשִׁיָּ֣הוּ לִבְנֵ֪י הָעָ֟ם צֹ֞אן כְּבָשִׂ֣ים וּבְנֵֽי־עִזִּים֮ הַכֹּ֣ל לַפְּסָחִים֒ לְכָל־הַנִּמְצָ֗א לְמִסְפַּר֙ שְׁלֹשִׁ֣ים אֶ֔לֶף וּבָקָ֖ר שְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת אֲלָפִ֑ים אֵ֖לֶּה מֵרְכ֥וּשׁ הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ ס Chronicles2 2Ch 35:7 Und Josia gab zur Hebe für den gemeinen Mann Lämmer und junge Ziegen (alles zum Passah für alle, die vorhanden waren, an der Zahl dreißigtausend) und dreitausend Rinder, alles von dem Gut des Königs.(dhs) 2Ch 35:7 Then Josiah gave the lay people lambs and young goats from the flock, all for Passover offerings for all who were present, to the number of thirty thousand, as well as three thousand cattle; these were from the king's possessions.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 35:8 ============ 2Ch 35:8 His officers also contributed a freewill offering to the people, the priests and the Levites. Hilkiah and Zechariah and Jehiel, the officials of the house of God, gave to the priests for the Passover offerings 2,600 from the flocks and 300 bulls.(nas) 2Ch 35:8 καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες αὐτοῦ ἀπήρξαντο τῷ λαῷ καὶ τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν καὶ Λευίταις ἔδωκεν Χελκιας καὶ Ζαχαριας καὶ Ιιηλ οἱ ἄρχοντες οἴκου τοῦ θεοῦ τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν καὶ ἔδωκαν εἰς τὸ φασεχ πρόβατα καὶ ἀμνοὺς καὶ ἐρίφους δισχίλια ἑξακόσια καὶ μόσχους τριακοσίους (lxx) 2Ch 35:8 Duces quoque ejus sponte quod voverant, obtulerunt, tam populo quam sacerdotibus et Levitis. Porro Helcias, et Zacharias, et Jahiel principes domus Domini dederunt sacerdotibus ad faciendum Phase pecora commixtim duo millia sexcenta, et boves trecentos.(vulgate) 8 ׃35 וְשָׂרָ֞יו לִנְדָבָ֥ה לָעָ֛ם לַכֹּהֲנִ֥ים וְלַלְוִיִּ֖ם הֵרִ֑ימוּ חִלְקִיָּ֨ה וּזְכַרְיָ֜הוּ וִֽיחִיאֵ֗ל נְגִידֵי֙ בֵּ֣ית הָאֱלֹהִ֔ים לַכֹּהֲנִ֞ים נָתְנ֣וּ לַפְּסָחִ֗ים אַלְפַּ֙יִם֙ וְשֵׁ֣שׁ מֵא֔וֹת וּבָקָ֖ר שְׁלֹ֥שׁ מֵאֽוֹת׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 35:8 Seine Fürsten aber gaben zur Hebe freiwillig für das Volk und für die Priester und Leviten. Hilkia, Sacharja und Jehiel, die Fürsten im Hause Gottes, gaben den Priestern zum Passah zweitausend und sechshundert Lämmer und Ziegen, dazu dreihundert Rinder.(dhs) 2Ch 35:8 And his leaders gave willingly to the people, to the priests, and to the Levites. Hilkiah, Zechariah, and Jehiel, rulers of the house of God, gave to the priests for the Passover offerings two thousand six hundred from the flock, and three hundred cattle.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 35:9 ============ 2Ch 35:9 Conaniah also, and Shemaiah and Nethanel, his brothers, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, the officers of the Levites, contributed to the Levites for the Passover offerings 5,000 from the flocks and 500 bulls.(nas) 2Ch 35:9 καὶ Χωνενιας καὶ Βαναιας καὶ Σαμαιας καὶ Ναθαναηλ ἀδελφὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ Ασαβια καὶ Ιιηλ καὶ Ιωζαβαδ ἄρχοντες τῶν Λευιτῶν ἀπήρξαντο τοῖς Λευίταις εἰς τὸ φασεχ πρόβατα πεντακισχίλια καὶ μόσχους πεντακοσίους (lxx) 2Ch 35:9 Chonenias autem, et Semeias, etiam Nathanaël fratres ejus, necnon Hasabias, et Jehiel, et Jozabad principes Levitarum, dederunt ceteris Levitis ad celebrandum Phase quinque millia pecorum, et boves quingentos.(vulgate) 9 ׃35 *וכונניהו **וְ֠כָֽנַנְיָהוּ וּשְׁמַֽעְיָּ֨הוּ וּנְתַנְאֵ֜ל אֶחָ֗יו וַחֲשַׁבְיָ֧הוּ וִיעִיאֵ֛ל וְיוֹזָבָ֖ד שָׂרֵ֣י הַלְוִיִּ֑ם הֵרִ֨ימוּ לַלְוִיִּ֤ם לַפְּסָחִים֙ חֲמֵ֣שֶׁת אֲלָפִ֔ים וּבָקָ֖ר חֲמֵ֥שׁ מֵאֽוֹת׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 35:9 Aber Chananja, Semaja, Nathanael und seine Brüder, Hasabja, Jeiel und Josabad, der Leviten Oberste, gaben zur Hebe den Leviten zum Passah fünftausend Lämmer und Ziegen und dazu fünfhundert Rinder.(dhs) 2Ch 35:9 Also Conaniah, his brothers Shemaiah and Nethanel, and Hashabiah and Jeiel and Jozabad, chief of the Levites, gave to the Levites for Passover offerings five thousand from the flock and five hundred cattle.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 35:10 ============ 2Ch 35:10 So the service was prepared, and the priests stood at their stations and the Levites by their divisions according to the king's command.(nas) 2Ch 35:10 καὶ κατωρθώθη ἡ λειτουργία καὶ ἔστησαν οἱ ἱερεῖς ἐπὶ τὴν στάσιν αὐτῶν καὶ οἱ Λευῖται ἐπὶ τὰς διαιρέσεις αὐτῶν κατὰ τὴν ἐντολὴν τοῦ βασιλέως (lxx) 2Ch 35:10 Præparatumque est ministerium, et steterunt sacerdotes in officio suo: Levitæ quoque in turmis, juxta regis imperium.(vulgate) 10 ׃35 וַתִּכּ֖וֹן הָעֲבוֹדָ֑ה וַיַּֽעַמְד֨וּ הַכֹּהֲנִ֧ים עַל־עָמְדָ֛ם וְהַלְוִיִּ֥ם עַל־מַחְלְקוֹתָ֖ם כְּמִצְוַ֥ת הַמֶּֽלֶךְ׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 35:10 Also ward der Gottesdienst beschickt; und die Priester standen an ihrer Stätte und die Leviten in ihren Ordnungen nach dem Gebot des Königs.(dhs) 2Ch 35:10 So the service was prepared, and the priests stood in their places, and the Levites in their divisions, according to the king's command.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 35:11 ============ 2Ch 35:11 They slaughtered the Passover animals, and while the priests sprinkled the blood received from their hand, the Levites skinned them.(nas) 2Ch 35:11 καὶ ἔθυσαν τὸ φασεχ καὶ προσέχεαν οἱ ἱερεῖς τὸ αἷμα ἐκ χειρὸς αὐτῶν καὶ οἱ Λευῖται ἐξέδειραν (lxx) 2Ch 35:11 Et immolatum est Phase: asperseruntque sacerdotes manu sua sanguinem, et Levitæ detraxerunt pelles holocaustorum:(vulgate) 11 ׃35 וַֽיִּשְׁחֲט֖וּ הַפָּ֑סַח וַיִּזְרְק֤וּ הַכֹּהֲנִים֙ מִיָּדָ֔ם וְהַלְוִיִּ֖ם מַפְשִׁיטִֽים׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 35:11 Und sie schlachteten das Passah, und die Priester nahmen das Blut von ihren Händen und sprengten, und die Leviten zogen die Haut ab.(dhs) 2Ch 35:11 And they slaughtered the Passover offerings; and the priests sprinkled the blood with their hands, while the Levites skinned the animals.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 35:12 ============ 2Ch 35:12 Then they removed the burnt offerings that they might give them to the sections of the fathers' households of the lay people to present to the Lord, as it is written in the book of Moses. They did this also with the bulls.(nas) 2Ch 35:12 καὶ ἡτοίμασαν τὴν ὁλοκαύτωσιν παραδοῦναι αὐτοῖς κατὰ τὴν διαίρεσιν κατ᾽ οἴκους πατριῶν τοῖς υἱοῖς τοῦ λαοῦ τοῦ προσάγειν τῷ κυρίῳ ὡς γέγραπται ἐν βιβλίῳ Μωυσῆ καὶ οὕτως εἰς τὸ πρωί (lxx) 2Ch 35:12 et separaverunt ea ut darent per domos et familias singulorum, et offerrentur Domino, sicut scriptum est in libro Moysi: de bobus quoque fecerunt similiter.(vulgate) 12 ׃35 וַיָּסִ֨ירוּ הָעֹלָ֜ה לְ֠תִתָּם לְמִפְלַגּ֤וֹת לְבֵית־אָבוֹת֙ לִבְנֵ֣י הָעָ֔ם לְהַקְרִיב֙ לַיהוָ֔ה כַּכָּת֖וּב בְּסֵ֣פֶר מֹשֶׁ֑ה וְכֵ֖ן לַבָּקָֽר׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 35:12 Und die Brandopfer taten sie davon, daß sie die gäben unter die Teile der Vaterhäuser des Volks, dem HERRN zu opfern. Wie es geschrieben steht im Buch Mose's. So taten sie mit den Rindern auch.(dhs) 2Ch 35:12 Then they removed the burnt offerings that they might give them to the divisions of the fathers' houses of the lay people, to offer to the Lord, as it is written in the Book of Moses. And so they did with the cattle.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 35:13 ============ 2Ch 35:13 So they roasted the Passover animals on the fire according to the ordinance, and they boiled the holy things in pots, in kettles, in pans, and carried them speedily to all the lay people.(nas) 2Ch 35:13 καὶ ὤπτησαν τὸ φασεχ ἐν πυρὶ κατὰ τὴν κρίσιν καὶ τὰ ἅγια ἥψησαν ἐν τοῖς χαλκείοις καὶ ἐν τοῖς λέβησιν καὶ εὐοδώθη καὶ ἔδραμον πρὸς πάντας τοὺς υἱοὺς τοῦ λαοῦ (lxx) 2Ch 35:13 Et assaverunt Phase super ignem, juxta quod in lege scriptum est: pacificas vero hostias coxerunt in lebetibus, et cacabis, et ollis, et festinato distribuerunt universæ plebi:(vulgate) 13 ׃35 וַֽיְבַשְּׁל֥וּ הַפֶּ֛סַח בָּאֵ֖שׁ כַּמִּשְׁפָּ֑ט וְהַקֳּדָשִׁ֣ים בִּשְּׁל֗וּ בַּסִּיר֤וֹת וּבַדְּוָדִים֙ וּבַצֵּ֣לָח֔וֹת וַיָּרִ֖יצוּ לְכָל־בְּנֵ֥י הָעָֽם׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 35:13 Und sie kochten das Passah am Feuer, wie sich's gebührt. Aber was geheiligt war, kochten sie in Töpfen, Kesseln und Pfannen, und machten's eilend für alles Volk.(dhs) 2Ch 35:13 Also they roasted the Passover offerings with fire according to the ordinance; but the other holy offerings they boiled in pots, in caldrons, and in pans, and divided them quickly among all the lay people.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 35:14 ============ 2Ch 35:14 Afterwards they prepared for themselves and for the priests, because the priests, the sons of Aaron, were offering the burnt offerings and the fat until night; therefore the Levites prepared for themselves and for the priests, the sons of Aaron.(nas) 2Ch 35:14 καὶ μετὰ τὸ ἑτοιμάσαι αὐτοῖς καὶ τοῖς ἱερεῦσιν ὅτι οἱ ἱερεῖς ἐν τῷ ἀναφέρειν τὰ στέατα καὶ τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματα ἕως νυκτός καὶ οἱ Λευῖται ἡτοίμασαν αὑτοῖς καὶ τοῖς ἀδελφοῖς αὐτῶν υἱοῖς Ααρων (lxx) 2Ch 35:14 sibi autem et sacerdotibus postea paraverunt, nam in oblatione holocaustorum et adipum usque ad noctem sacerdotes fuerunt occupati, unde Levitæ sibi et sacerdotibus filiis Aaron paraverunt novissimis.(vulgate) 14 ׃35 וְאַחַ֗ר הֵכִ֤ינוּ לָהֶם֙ וְלַכֹּ֣הֲנִ֔ים כִּ֤י הַכֹּהֲנִים֙ בְּנֵ֣י אַהֲרֹ֔ן בְּהַֽעֲל֛וֹת הָעוֹלָ֥ה וְהַחֲלָבִ֖ים עַד־לָ֑יְלָה וְהַלְוִיִּם֙ הֵכִ֣ינוּ לָהֶ֔ם וְלַכֹּהֲנִ֖ים בְּנֵ֥י אַהֲרֹֽן׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 35:14 Darnach aber bereiteten sie auch für sich und die Priester.
