Today's Date: ======= 1 Thessalonians 5:1 ============ 1Th 5:1 Now as to the times and the epochs, brethren, you have no need of anything to be written to you.(nas) 1Th 5:1 περὶ δὲ τῶν χρόνων καὶ τῶν καιρῶν, ἀδελφοί, οὐ χρείαν ἔχετε ὑμῖν γράφεσθαι, (Nestle-Aland) 1Th 5:1 De temporibus autem, et momentis, fratres, non indigetis ut scribamus vobis.(vulgate) וְעַל־דְּבַר הָעִתִּים וְהַזְּמַנִּים אֵין־דָּבָר אַחַי לְהִכָּתֵב לָכֶם׃ א Thessalonians1 1Th 5:1 Von den Zeiten aber und Stunden, liebe Brüder, ist nicht not euch zu schreiben;(dhs) 1Th 5:1 But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you have no need that I should write to you.(nkjv) ======= 1 Thessalonians 5:2 ============ 1Th 5:2 For you yourselves know full well that the day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night.(nas) 1Th 5:2 αὐτοὶ γὰρ ἀκριβῶς οἴδατε ὅτι ἡμέρα κυρίου ὡς κλέπτης ἐν νυκτὶ οὕτως ἔρχεται. (Nestle-Aland) 1Th 5:2 Ipsi enim diligenter scitis quia dies Domini, sicut fur in nocte, ita veniet:(vulgate) הֲלֹא יְדַעְתֶּם הֵיטֵב כִּי יוֹם־יְהוָֹה כְּגַנָּב בַּלַּיְלָה יָבוֹא׃ ב Thessalonians1 1Th 5:2 denn ihr selbst wisset gewiß, daß der Tag des HERRN wird kommen wie ein Dieb in der Nacht.(dhs) 1Th 5:2 For you yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in the night.(nkjv) ======= 1 Thessalonians 5:3 ============ 1Th 5:3 While they are saying, "Peace and safety!" then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape.(nas) 1Th 5:3 ὅταν λέγωσιν, εἰρήνη καὶ ἀσφάλεια, τότε αἰφνίδιος αὐτοῖς ἐφίσταται ὄλεθρος ὥσπερ ἡ ὠδὶν τῇ ἐν γαστρὶ ἐχούσῃ, καὶ οὐ μὴ ἐκφύγωσιν. (Nestle-Aland) 1Th 5:3 cum enim dixerint: Pax et securitas: tunc repentinus eis superveniet interitus, sicut dolor in utero habenti, et non effugient.(vulgate) כַּאֲשֶׁר יֹאמְרוּ שָׁלוֹם וְשַׁלְוָה אָז פִּתְאֹם יָבוֹא עֲלֵיהֶם אֵידָם כְּחֶבְלֵי יוֹלֵדָה וְלֹא יִמָּלֵט לָהֶם פָּלִיט׃ ג Thessalonians1 1Th 5:3 Denn sie werden sagen: Es ist Friede, es hat keine Gefahr, so wird sie das Verderben schnell überfallen, gleichwie der Schmerz ein schwangeres Weib, und werden nicht entfliehen.(dhs) 1Th 5:3 For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.(nkjv) ======= 1 Thessalonians 5:4 ============ 1Th 5:4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, that the day would overtake you like a thief;(nas) 1Th 5:4 ὑμεῖς δέ, ἀδελφοί, οὐκ ἐστὲ ἐν σκότει, ἵνα ἡ ἡμέρα ὑμᾶς ὡς κλέπτης καταλάβῃ, (Nestle-Aland) 1Th 5:4 Vos autem, fratres, non estis in tenebris, ut vos die illa tamquam fur comprehendat:(vulgate) אֲבָל אַתֶּם אַחַי אֵינְכֶם בַּחֹשֶׁךְ אֲשֶׁר יָבוֹא עֲלֵיכֶם הַיּוֹם כְּגַנָּב׃ ד Thessalonians1 1Th 5:4 Ihr aber, liebe Brüder, seid nicht in der Finsternis, daß euch der Tag wie ein Dieb ergreife.(dhs) 1Th 5:4 But you, brethren, are not in darkness, so that this Day should overtake you as a thief.(nkjv) ======= 1 Thessalonians 5:5 ============ 1Th 5:5 for you are all sons of light and sons of day. (Nestle-Aland) 1Th 5:11 Propter quod consolamini invicem, et ædificate alterutrum, sicut et facitis.~(vulgate) עַל־כֵּן הַזְהִירוּ אִישׁ אֶת־רֵעֵהוּ וְהָשִׁיבוּ אִישׁ אֶת־נֶפֶשׁ אָחִיו כַּאֲשֶׁר עֲשִׂיתֶם עַד־כֹּה׃ יא Thessalonians1 1Th 5:11 Darum ermahnet euch untereinander und bauet einer den andern, wie ihr denn tut.(dhs) 1Th 5:11 Therefore comfort each other and edify one another, just as you also are doing.(nkjv) ======= 1 Thessalonians 5:12 ============ 1Th 5:12 But we request of you, brethren, that you appreciate those who diligently labor among you, and have charge over you in the Lord and give you instruction,(nas) 1Th 5:12 ἐρωτῶμεν δὲ ὑμᾶς, ἀδελφοί, εἰδέναι τοὺς κοπιῶντας ἐν ὑμῖν καὶ προϊσταμένους ὑμῶν ἐν κυρίῳ καὶ νουθετοῦντας ὑμᾶς, (Nestle-Aland) 1Th 5:12 Rogamus autem vos, fratres, ut noveritis eos qui laborant inter vos, et præsunt vobis in Domino, et monent vos,(vulgate) וַאֲנַחְנוּ נִפְצַר בָּכֶם אַחִים לָדַעַת בְּשׂוּם לֵב אֶת־הָעֲמֵלִים בָּכֶם וְאֶת־הַנִּצָּבִים עֲלֵיכֶם בְּשֵׁם הָאָדוֹן וְאֶת־הַמּוֹכִיחִים אֶתְכֶם׃ יב Thessalonians1 1Th 5:12 Wir bitten aber euch, liebe Brüder, daß ihr erkennet, die an euch arbeiten und euch vorstehen in dem HERRN und euch vermahnen;(dhs) 1Th 5:12 And we urge you, brethren, to recognize those who labor among you, and are over you in the Lord and admonish you,(nkjv) ======= 1 Thessalonians 5:13 ============ 1Th 5:13 and that you esteem them very highly in love because of their work. Live in peace with one another.(nas) 1Th 5:13 καὶ ἡγεῖσθαι αὐτοὺς ὑπερεκπερισσοῦ ἐν ἀγάπῃ διὰ τὸ ἔργον αὐτῶν. εἰρηνεύετε ἐν ἑαυτοῖς. (Nestle-Aland) 1Th 5:13 ut habeatis illos abundantius in caritate propter opus illorum: pacem habete cum eis.(vulgate) וּלְהַכִּיר יְקַר עֶרְכָּם הַגָּדוֹל לְאַהֲבָה אֹתָם לְמַעַן פָּעֳלָם וְהַחֲזִיקוּ שָׁלוֹם בֵּינֵיכֶם׃ יג Thessalonians1 1Th 5:13 habt sie desto lieber um ihres Werks willen und seid friedsam mit ihnen.(dhs) 1Th 5:13 and to esteem them very highly in love for their work's sake.
