Then he put out his hand and took her, and brought her into the ark to himself.(nas) Gen 8:9 καὶ οὐχ εὑροῦσα ἡ περιστερὰ ἀνάπαυσιν τοῖς ποσὶν αὐτῆς ὑπέστρεψεν πρὸς αὐτὸν εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν ὅτι ὕδωρ ἦν ἐπὶ παντὶ προσώπῳ πάσης τῆς γῆς καὶ ἐκτείνας τὴν χεῖρα αὐτοῦ ἔλαβεν αὐτὴν καὶ εἰσήγαγεν αὐτὴν πρὸς ἑαυτὸν εἰς τὴν κιβωτόν (lxx) Gen 8:9 Quæ cum non invenisset ubi requiesceret pes ejus, reversa est ad eum in arcam: aquæ enim erant super universam terram: extenditque manum, et apprehensam intulit in arcam.(vulgate) Genesis 8:9 But the doue found no rest for the sole of her foote: therefore she returned vnto him into the Arke (for the waters were vpon the whole earth) and he put forth his hand, and receiued her, and tooke her to him into the Arke.(Geneva) Gen 8:9 Da aber die Taube nicht fand, da ihr Fuß ruhen konnte, kam sie wieder zu ihm in den Kasten; denn das Gewässer war noch auf dem ganzen Erdboden. So Noah knew that the water was abated from the earth.(nas) Gen 8:11 καὶ ἀνέστρεψεν πρὸς αὐτὸν ἡ περιστερὰ τὸ πρὸς ἑσπέραν καὶ εἶχεν φύλλον ἐλαίας κάρφος ἐν τῷ στόματι αὐτῆς καὶ ἔγνω Νωε ὅτι κεκόπακεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς (lxx) Gen 8:11 At illa venit ad eum ad vesperam, portans ramum olivæ virentibus foliis in ore suo: intellexit ergo Noë quod cessassent aquæ super terram.(vulgate) Genesis 8:11 And the doue came to him in ye euening, and loe, in her mouth was an oliue leafe that she had pluckt: whereby Noah knewe that the waters were abated from off the earth.(Geneva) Gen 8:11 Die kam zu ihm zur Abendzeit, und siehe, ein Ölblatt hatte sie abgebrochen und trug's in ihrem Munde. Da merkte Noah, daß das Gewässer gefallen wäre auf Erden.(dhs) Gen 8:11 Then the dove came to him in the evening, and behold, a freshly plucked olive leaf was in her mouth; and Noah knew that the waters had receded from the earth.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 8:12 ============ Gen 8:12 Then he waited yet another seven days, and sent out the dove; but she did not return to him again.(nas) Gen 8:12 καὶ ἐπισχὼν ἔτι ἡμέρας ἑπτὰ ἑτέρας πάλιν ἐξαπέστειλεν τὴν περιστεράν καὶ οὐ προσέθετο τοῦ ἐπιστρέψαι πρὸς αὐτὸν ἔτι (lxx) Gen 8:12 Expectavitque nihilominus septem alios dies: et emisit columbam, quæ non est reversa ultra ad eum.(vulgate) Genesis 8:12 Notwithstanding he wayted yet other seuen dayes, and sent forth the doue, which returned not againe vnto him any more.(Geneva) Gen 8:12 Aber er harrte noch weiter sieben Tage und ließ eine Taube ausfliegen; die kam nicht wieder zu ihm.(dhs) Gen 8:12 So he waited yet another seven days and sent out the dove, which did not return again to him anymore.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 8:13 ============ Gen 8:13 Now it came about in the six hundred and first year, in the first month, on the first of the month, the water was dried up from the earth. Then Noah removed the covering of the ark, and looked, and behold, the surface of the ground was dried up.(nas) Gen 8:13 καὶ ἐγένετο ἐν τῷ ἑνὶ καὶ ἑξακοσιοστῷ ἔτει ἐν τῇ ζωῇ τοῦ Νωε τοῦ πρώτου μηνός μιᾷ τοῦ μηνός ἐξέλιπεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ τῆς γῆς καὶ ἀπεκάλυψεν Νωε τὴν στέγην τῆς κιβωτοῦ ἣν ἐποίησεν καὶ εἶδεν ὅτι ἐξέλιπεν τὸ ὕδωρ ἀπὸ προσώπου τῆς γῆς (lxx) Gen 8:13 Igitur sexcentesimo primo anno, primo mense, prima die mensis, imminutæ sunt aquæ super terram: et aperiens Noë tectum arcæ, aspexit, viditque quod exsiccata esset superficies terræ.(vulgate) Genesis 8:13 And in the sixe hundreth and one yeere, in the first day of the first moneth the waters were dryed vp from off the earth: and Noah remoued the couering of the Arke and looked, and beholde, the vpper part of the ground was drie.(Geneva) Gen 8:13 Im sechshundertundersten Jahr des Alters Noahs, am ersten Tage des ersten Monats vertrocknete das Gewässer auf Erden. das ging aus dem Kasten, ein jegliches mit seinesgleichen.(dhs) Gen 8:19 Every animal, every creeping thing, every bird, and whatever creeps on the earth, according to their families, went out of the ark.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 8:20 ============ Gen 8:20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird and offered burnt offerings on the altar.(nas) Gen 8:20 καὶ ᾠκοδόμησεν Νωε θυσιαστήριον τῷ θεῷ καὶ ἔλαβεν ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν κτηνῶν τῶν καθαρῶν καὶ ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν πετεινῶν τῶν καθαρῶν καὶ ἀνήνεγκεν ὁλοκαρπώσεις ἐπὶ τὸ θυσιαστήριον (lxx) Gen 8:20 Ædificavit autem Noë altare Domino: et tollens de cunctis pecoribus et volucribus mundis, obtulit holocausta super altare.(vulgate) Genesis 8:20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord & tooke of euery cleane beast, & of euery cleane foule, and offered burnt offerings vpon the altar.(Geneva) Gen 8:20 Noah aber baute dem HERRN einen Altar und nahm von allerlei reinem Vieh und von allerlei reinem Geflügel und opferte Brandopfer auf dem Altar.(dhs) Gen 8:20 Then Noah built an altar to the Lord, and took of every clean animal and of every clean bird, and offered burnt offerings on the altar.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 8:21 ============ Gen 8:21 The Lord smelled the soothing aroma; and the Lord said to Himself, "I will never again curse the ground on account of man, for the intent of man's heart is evil from his youth; and I will never again destroy every living thing, as I have done.(nas) Gen 8:21 καὶ ὠσφράνθη κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὀσμὴν εὐωδίας καὶ εἶπεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς διανοηθείς οὐ προσθήσω ἔτι τοῦ καταράσασθαι τὴν γῆν διὰ τὰ ἔργα τῶν ἀνθρώπων ὅτι ἔγκειται ἡ διάνοια τοῦ ἀνθρώπου ἐπιμελῶς ἐπὶ τὰ πονηρὰ ἐκ νεότητος οὐ προσθήσω οὖν ἔτι πατάξαι πᾶσαν σάρκα ζῶσαν καθὼς ἐποίησα (lxx) Gen 8:21 Odoratusque est Dominus odorem suavitatis, et ait: Nequaquam ultra maledicam terræ propter homines: sensus enim et cogitatio humani cordis in malum prona sunt ab adolescentia sua: non igitur ultra percutiam omnem animam viventem sicut feci.(vulgate) Genesis 8:21 And the Lord smelled a sauour of rest, and the Lord said in his heart, I will hencefoorth curse the ground no more for mans cause: for the imagination of mans heart is euill, euen from his youth: neither will I smite any more all things liuing, as I haue done.(Geneva) Gen 8:21 Und der HERR roch den lieblichen Geruch und sprach in seinem Herzen: Ich will hinfort nicht mehr die Erde verfluchen um der Menschen willen; denn das Dichten des menschlichen Herzens ist böse von Jugend auf. Und ich will hinfort nicht mehr schlagen alles, was da lebt, wie ich getan habe.(dhs) Gen 8:21 And the Lord smelled a soothing aroma. Then the Lord said in His heart, "I will never again curse the ground for man's sake, although the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.(nkjv) ======= Genesis 8:22 ============ Gen 8:22 "While the earth remains, Seedtime and harvest, And cold and heat, And summer and winter, And day and night Shall not cease."
