Today's Date: ======= Exodus 34:1 ============ Exo 34:1 Now the Lord said to Moses, "Cut out for yourself two stone tablets like the former ones, and I will write on the tablets the words that were on the former tablets which you shattered.(nas) Exo 34:1 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν λάξευσον σεαυτῷ δύο πλάκας λιθίνας καθὼς καὶ αἱ πρῶται καὶ ἀνάβηθι πρός με εἰς τὸ ὄρος καὶ γράψω ἐπὶ τῶν πλακῶν τὰ ῥήματα ἃ ἦν ἐν ταῖς πλαξὶν ταῖς πρώταις αἷς συνέτριψας (lxx) Exo 34:1 Ac deinceps: Præcide, ait, tibi duas tabulas lapideas instar priorum, et scribam super eas verba, quæ habuerunt tabulæ quas fregisti.(vulgate) Exodus 34:1 And the Lord saide vnto Moses, Hewe thee two Tables of stone, like vnto the first, and I will write vpon the Tables the wordes that were in the first Tables, which thou brakest in pieces.(Geneva) Exo 34:1 Und der HERR sprach zu Mose: Haue dir zwei steinerne Tafeln, wie die ersten waren, daß ich die Worte darauf schreibe, die auf den ersten Tafeln waren, welche du zerbrochen hast.(dhs) Exo 34:1 And the Lord said to Moses, "Cut two tablets of stone like the first ones, and I will write on these tablets the words that were on the first tablets which you broke.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:2 ============ Exo 34:2 So be ready by morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself there to Me on the top of the mountain.(nas) Exo 34:2 καὶ γίνου ἕτοιμος εἰς τὸ πρωὶ καὶ ἀναβήσῃ ἐπὶ τὸ ὄρος τὸ Σινα καὶ στήσῃ μοι ἐκεῖ ἐπ᾽ ἄκρου τοῦ ὄρους (lxx) Exo 34:2 Esto paratus mane, ut ascendas statim in montem Sinai, stabisque mecum super verticem montis.(vulgate) Exodus 34:2 And be ready in ye morning, that thou mayest come vp earely vnto the mount of Sinai, and waite there for me in the top of the mount.(Geneva) Exo 34:2 Und sei morgen bereit, daß du früh auf den Berg Sinai steigest und daselbst zu mir tretest auf des Berges Spitze.(dhs) Exo 34:2 So be ready in the morning, and come up in the morning to Mount Sinai, and present yourself to Me there on the top of the mountain.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:3 ============ Exo 34:3 No man is to come up with you, nor let any man be seen anywhere on the mountain; even the flocks and the herds may not graze in front of that mountain."(nas) Exo 34:3 καὶ μηδεὶς ἀναβήτω μετὰ σοῦ μηδὲ ὀφθήτω ἐν παντὶ τῷ ὄρει καὶ τὰ πρόβατα καὶ αἱ βόες μὴ νεμέσθωσαν πλησίον τοῦ ὄρους ἐκείνου (lxx) Exo 34:3 Nullus ascendat tecum, nec videatur quispiam per totum montem: boves quoque et oves non pascantur e contra.(vulgate) Exodus 34:3 But let no man come vp with thee, neither let any man be seene throughout all the mount, neyther let the sheepe nor cattell feede before this mount.(Geneva) Exo 34:3 Und laß niemand mit dir hinaufsteigen, daß niemand gesehen werde um den ganzen Berg her; auch kein Schaf noch Rind laß weiden gegen diesen Berg hin.(dhs) Exo 34:3 And no man shall come up with you, and let no man be seen throughout all the mountain; let neither flocks nor herds feed before that mountain."(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:4 ============ Exo 34:4 So he cut out two stone tablets like the former ones, and Moses rose up early in the morning and went up to Mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, and he took two stone tablets in his hand.(nas) Exo 34:4 καὶ ἐλάξευσεν δύο πλάκας λιθίνας καθάπερ καὶ αἱ πρῶται καὶ ὀρθρίσας Μωυσῆς ἀνέβη εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ Σινα καθότι συνέταξεν αὐτῷ κύριος καὶ ἔλαβεν Μωυσῆς τὰς δύο πλάκας τὰς λιθίνας (lxx) Exo 34:4 Excidit ergo duas tabulas lapideas, quales antea fuerant: et de nocte consurgens ascendit in montem Sinai, sicut præceperat ei Dominus, portans secum tabulas.(vulgate) Exodus 34:4 Then Moses hewed two Tables of stone like vnto the first, and rose vp earely in the morning, and went vp vnto the mount of Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him, & tooke in his hande two Tables of stone.(Geneva) Exo 34:4 Und Mose hieb zwei steinerne Tafeln, wie die ersten waren, und stand des Morgens früh auf und stieg auf den Berg Sinai, wie ihm der HERR geboten hatte, und nahm die zwei steinernen Tafeln in seine Hand.(dhs) Exo 34:4 So he cut two tablets of stone like the first ones. Then Moses rose early in the morning and went up Mount Sinai, as the Lord had commanded him; and he took in his hand the two tablets of stone.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:5 ============ Exo 34:5 The Lord descended in the cloud and stood there with him as he called upon the name of the Lord.(nas) Exo 34:5 καὶ κατέβη κύριος ἐν νεφέλῃ καὶ παρέστη αὐτῷ ἐκεῖ καὶ ἐκάλεσεν τῷ ὀνόματι κυρίου (lxx) Exo 34:5 Cumque descendisset Dominus per nubem, stetit Moyses cum eo, invocans nomen Domini.(vulgate) Exodus 34:5 And the Lorde descended in the cloude, and stoode with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.(Geneva) Exo 34:5 Da kam der HERR hernieder in einer Wolke und trat daselbst zu ihm und rief aus des HERRN Namen.(dhs) Exo 34:5 Now the Lord descended in the cloud and stood with him there, and proclaimed the name of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:6 ============ Exo 34:6 Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in lovingkindness and truth;(nas) Exo 34:6 καὶ παρῆλθεν κύριος πρὸ προσώπου αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐκάλεσεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς οἰκτίρμων καὶ ἐλεήμων μακρόθυμος καὶ πολυέλεος καὶ ἀληθινὸς (lxx) Exo 34:6 Quo transeunte coram eo, ait: Dominator Domine Deus, misericors et clemens, patiens et multæ miserationis, ac verax,(vulgate) Exodus 34:6 So the Lord passed before his face, and cried, The Lord, the Lord, strong, mercifull, & gracious, slowe to anger, and abundant in goodnesse and trueth,(Geneva) Exo 34:6 Und der HERR ging vor seinem Angesicht vorüber und rief: HERR, HERR, GOTT, barmherzig und gnädig und geduldig und von großer Gnade und Treue!(dhs) Exo 34:6 And the Lord passed before him and proclaimed, "The Lord, the Lord God, merciful and gracious, longsuffering, and abounding in goodness and truth,(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:7 ============ Exo 34:7 who keeps lovingkindness for thousands, who forgives iniquity, transgression and sin; yet He will by no means leave the guilty unpunished, visiting the iniquity of fathers on the children and on the grandchildren to the third and fourth generations."(nas) Exo 34:7 καὶ δικαιοσύνην διατηρῶν καὶ ποιῶν ἔλεος εἰς χιλιάδας ἀφαιρῶν ἀνομίας καὶ ἀδικίας καὶ ἁμαρτίας καὶ οὐ καθαριεῖ τὸν ἔνοχον ἐπάγων ἀνομίας πατέρων ἐπὶ τέκνα καὶ ἐπὶ τέκνα τέκνων ἐπὶ τρίτην καὶ τετάρτην γενεάν (lxx) Exo 34:7 qui custodis misericordiam in millia; qui aufers iniquitatem, et scelera, atque peccata, nullusque apud te per se innocens est; qui reddis iniquitatem patrum filiis, ac nepotibus in tertiam et quartam progeniem.(vulgate) Exodus 34:7 Reseruing mercy for thousands, forgiuing iniquitie, and transgression and sinne, and not making the wicked innocent, visiting the iniquitie of the fathers vpon ye children, & vpon childrens children, vnto the third and fourth generation.(Geneva) Exo 34:7 der da bewahrt Gnade in tausend Glieder und vergibt Missetat, Übertretung und Sünde, und vor welchem niemand unschuldig ist; der die Missetat der Väter heimsucht auf Kinder und Kindeskinder bis ins dritte und vierte Glied.(dhs) Exo 34:7 keeping mercy for thousands, forgiving iniquity and transgression and sin, by no means clearing the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children and the children's children to the third and the fourth generation."(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:8 ============ Exo 34:8 Moses made haste to bow low toward the earth and worship.(nas) Exo 34:8 καὶ σπεύσας Μωυσῆς κύψας ἐπὶ τὴν γῆν προσεκύνησεν (lxx) Exo 34:8 Festinusque Moyses, curvatus est pronus in terram, et adorans(vulgate) Exodus 34:8 Then Moses made haste & bowed him selfe to the earth, and worshipped,(Geneva) Exo 34:8 Und Mose neigte sich eilend zu der Erde und betete an(dhs) Exo 34:8 So Moses made haste and bowed his head toward the earth, and worshiped.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:9 ============ Exo 34:9 He said, "If now I have found favor in Your sight, O Lord, I pray, let the Lord go along in our midst, even though the people are so obstinate, and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your own possession." (nas) Exo 34:9 καὶ εἶπεν εἰ εὕρηκα χάριν ἐνώπιόν σου συμπορευθήτω ὁ κύριός μου μεθ᾽ ἡμῶν ὁ λαὸς γὰρ σκληροτράχηλός ἐστιν καὶ ἀφελεῖς σὺ τὰς ἁμαρτίας ἡμῶν καὶ τὰς ἀνομίας ἡμῶν καὶ ἐσόμεθα σοί (lxx) Exo 34:9 ait: Si inveni gratiam in conspectu tuo, Domine, obsecro ut gradiaris nobiscum (populus enim duræ cervicis est) et auferas iniquitates nostras atque peccata, nosque possideas.~(vulgate) Exodus 34:9 And sayde, O Lorde, I pray thee, If I haue founde grace in thy sight, that the Lorde woulde nowe goe with vs ( for it is a stiffe necked people) and pardon our iniquitie and our sinne, and take vs for thine inheritance.(Geneva) Exo 34:9 und sprach: Habe ich, HERR, Gnade vor deinen Augen gefunden, so gehe der HERR mit uns; denn es ist ein halstarriges Volk, daß du unsrer Missetat und Sünde gnädig seist und lassest uns dein Erbe sein.(dhs) Exo 34:9 Then he said, "If now I have found grace in Your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray, go among us, even though we are a stiff-necked people; and pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us as Your inheritance."(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:10 ============ Exo 34:10 Then God said, "Behold, I am going to make a covenant. Before all your people I will perform miracles which have not been produced in all the earth nor among any of the nations; and all the people among whom you live will see the working of the Lord, for it is a fearful thing that I am going to perform with you.(nas) Exo 34:10 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ τίθημί σοι διαθήκην ἐνώπιον παντὸς τοῦ λαοῦ σου ποιήσω ἔνδοξα ἃ οὐ γέγονεν ἐν πάσῃ τῇ γῇ καὶ ἐν παντὶ ἔθνει καὶ ὄψεται πᾶς ὁ λαός ἐν οἷς εἶ σύ τὰ ἔργα κυρίου ὅτι θαυμαστά ἐστιν ἃ ἐγὼ ποιήσω σοι (lxx) Exo 34:10 Respondit Dominus: Ego inibo pactum videntibus cunctis: signa faciam quæ numquam visa sunt super terram, nec in ullis gentibus, ut cernat populus iste, in cujus es medio, opus Domini terribile quod facturus sum.(vulgate) Exodus 34:10 And he answered, Behold, I will make a couenant before all thy people, and will do marueiles, such as haue not bene done in all the worlde, neyther in all nations: and all the people among whom thou art, shal see the worke of the Lord: for it is a terrible thing that I will do with thee.(Geneva) Exo 34:10 Und er sprach: Siehe, ich will einen Bund machen vor allem deinem Volk und will Wunder tun, dergleichen nicht geschaffen sind in allen Landen und unter allen Völkern, und alles Volk, darunter du bist, soll sehen des HERRN Werk; denn wunderbar soll sein, was ich bei dir tun werde.(dhs) Exo 34:10 And He said: "Behold, I make a covenant. Before all your people I will do marvels such as have not been done in all the earth, nor in any nation; and all the people among whom you are shall see the work of the Lord. For it is an awesome thing that I will do with you.(nkjv) ======= Exodus 34:11 ============ Exo 34:11 "Be sure to observe what I am commanding you this day: behold, I am going to drive out the Amorite before you, and the Canaanite, the Hittite, the Perizzite, the Hivite and the Jebusite.(nas) Exo 34:11 πρόσεχε σὺ πάντα ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ ἐκβάλλω πρὸ προσώπου ὑμῶν τὸν Αμορραῖον καὶ Χαναναῖον καὶ Χετταῖον καὶ Φερεζαῖον καὶ Ευαῖον καὶ Γεργεσαῖον καὶ Ιεβουσαῖον (lxx) Exo 34:11 Observa cuncta quæ hodie mando tibi: ego ipse ejiciam ante faciem tuam Amorrhæum, et Chananæum, et Hethæum, Pherezæum quoque, et Hevæum, et Jebusæum.(vulgate) Exodus 34:11 Keepe diligently that which I commande thee this day: Beholde, I will cast out before thee the Amorites, and the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Perizzites, and the Hiuites, and the Iebusites.(Geneva) Exo 34:11 Halte, was ich dir heute gebiete. For seven days you are to eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, at the appointed time in the month of Abib, for in the month of Abib you came out of Egypt.(nas) Exo 34:18 καὶ τὴν ἑορτὴν τῶν ἀζύμων φυλάξῃ ἑπτὰ ἡμέρας φάγῃ ἄζυμα καθάπερ ἐντέταλμαί σοι εἰς τὸν καιρὸν ἐν μηνὶ τῶν νέων ἐν γὰρ μηνὶ τῶν νέων ἐξῆλθες ἐξ Αἰγύπτου (lxx) Exo 34:18 Solemnitatem azymorum custodies. Septem diebus vesceris azymis, sicut præcepi tibi, in tempore mensis novorum: mense enim verni temporis egressus es de Ægypto.(vulgate) Exodus 34:18 The feast of vnleauened bread shalt thou keepe: seuen dayes shalt thou eate vnleauened bread, as I commanded thee, in ye time of the moneth of Abib: for in the moneth of Abib thou camest out of Egypt.(Geneva) Exo 34:18 Das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote sollst du halten. You shall redeem all the firstborn of your sons. None shall appear before Me empty-handed.(nas) Exo 34:20 καὶ πρωτότοκον ὑποζυγίου λυτρώσῃ προβάτῳ ἐὰν δὲ μὴ λυτρώσῃ αὐτό τιμὴν δώσεις πᾶν πρωτότοκον τῶν υἱῶν σου λυτρώσῃ οὐκ ὀφθήσῃ ἐνώπιόν μου κενός (lxx) Exo 34:20 Primogenitum asini redimes ove: sin autem nec pretium pro eo dederis, occidetur.
