and they offered burnt offerings on it to the Lord, burnt offerings morning and evening.(nas) Ezr 3:3 καὶ ἡτοίμασαν τὸ θυσιαστήριον ἐπὶ τὴν ἑτοιμασίαν αὐτοῦ ὅτι ἐν καταπλήξει ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς ἀπὸ τῶν λαῶν τῶν γαιῶν καὶ ἀνέβη ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸ ὁλοκαύτωσις τῷ κυρίῳ τὸ πρωὶ καὶ εἰς ἑσπέραν (lxx) Ezr 3:3 Collocaverunt autem altare Dei super bases suas, deterrentibus eos per circuitum populis terrarum: et obtulerunt super illud holocaustum Domino mane et vespere.(vulgate) Ezra 3:3 And they set the altar vpon his bases (for feare was among them, because of the people of those countreis) therefore they offered burnt offrings thereon vnto the Lorde, euen burnt offrings in the morning, and at euen.(Geneva) Ezr 3:3 und richteten zu den Altar auf seine Stätte (denn es war ein Schrecken unter ihnen vor den Völkern in den Ländern) und opferten dem HERRN Brandopfer darauf des Morgens und des Abends.(dhs) Ezr 3:3 Though fear had come upon them because of the people of those countries, they set the altar on its bases; and they offered burnt offerings on it to the Lord, both the morning and evening burnt offerings.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 3:4 ============ Ezr 3:4 They celebrated the Feast of Booths, as it is written, and offered the fixed number of burnt offerings daily, according to the ordinance, as each day required;(nas) Ezr 3:4 καὶ ἐποίησαν τὴν ἑορτὴν τῶν σκηνῶν κατὰ τὸ γεγραμμένον καὶ ὁλοκαυτώσεις ἡμέραν ἐν ἡμέρᾳ ἐν ἀριθμῷ ὡς ἡ κρίσις λόγον ἡμέρας ἐν ἡμέρᾳ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Ezr 3:4 Feceruntque solemnitatem tabernaculorum, sicut scriptum est, et holocaustum diebus singulis per ordinem secundum præceptum opus diei in die suo.(vulgate) Ezra 3:4 They kept also the feast of the Tabernacles, as it is written, and the burnt offring dayly, by nomber according to the custome day by day,(Geneva) Ezr 3:4 Und hielten der Laubhütten Fest, wie geschrieben steht, und taten Brandopfer alle Tage nach der Zahl, wie sich's gebührt, einen jeglichen Tag sein Opfer,(dhs) Ezr 3:4 They also kept the Feast of Tabernacles, as it is written, and offered the daily burnt offerings in the number required by ordinance for each day.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 3:5 ============ Ezr 3:5 and afterward there was a continual burnt offering, also for the new moons and for all the fixed festivals of the Lord that were consecrated, and from everyone who offered a freewill offering to the Lord.(nas) Ezr 3:5 καὶ μετὰ τοῦτο ὁλοκαυτώσεις ἐνδελεχισμοῦ καὶ εἰς τὰς νουμηνίας καὶ εἰς πάσας ἑορτὰς τὰς ἡγιασμένας καὶ παντὶ ἑκουσιαζομένῳ ἑκούσιον τῷ κυρίῳ (lxx) Ezr 3:5 Et post hæc holocaustum juge, tam in calendis quam in universis solemnitatibus Domini quæ erant consecratæ, et in omnibus in quibus ultro offerebatur munus Domino.(vulgate) Ezra 3:5 And afterwarde the continuall bnrnt offring, both in the newe moneths and in all the feast dayes that were consecrate vnto the Lorde, and in all the oblations willingly offered vnto the Lorde.(Geneva) Ezr 3:5 darnach auch die täglichen Brandopfer und der Neumonde und aller Festtage des HERRN, die geheiligt sind, und allerlei freiwillige Opfer, die sie dem HERRN freiwillig taten.(dhs) Ezr 3:5 Afterwards they offered the regular burnt offering, and those for New Moons and for all the appointed feasts of the Lord that were consecrated, and those of everyone who willingly offered a freewill offering to the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 3:6 ============ Ezr 3:6 From the first day of the seventh month they began to offer burnt offerings to the Lord, but the foundation of the temple of the Lord had not been laid.(nas) Ezr 3:6 ἐν ἡμέρᾳ μιᾷ τοῦ μηνὸς τοῦ ἑβδόμου ἤρξαντο ἀναφέρειν ὁλοκαυτώσεις τῷ κυρίῳ καὶ ὁ οἶκος κυρίου οὐκ ἐθεμελιώθη (lxx) Ezr 3:6 A primo die mensis septimi cœperunt offerre holocaustum Domino: porro templum Dei nondum fundatum erat.(vulgate) Ezra 3:6 From the first day of the seuenth moneth began they to offer burnt offrings vnto the Lord: but the foundation of the Temple of the Lorde was not layed.(Geneva) Ezr 3:6 Am ersten Tage des siebenten Monats fingen sie an, dem HERRN Brandopfer zu tun. (nas) Ezr 3:7 καὶ ἔδωκαν ἀργύριον τοῖς λατόμοις καὶ τοῖς τέκτοσιν καὶ βρώματα καὶ ποτὰ καὶ ἔλαιον τοῖς Σηδανιν καὶ τοῖς Σωριν ἐνέγκαι ξύλα κέδρινα ἀπὸ τοῦ Λιβάνου πρὸς θάλασσαν Ιόππης κατ᾽ ἐπιχώρησιν Κύρου βασιλέως Περσῶν ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς (lxx) Ezr 3:7 Dederunt autem pecunias latomis et cæmentariis: cibum quoque, et potum, et oleum Sidoniis Tyriisque, ut deferrent ligna cedrina de Libano ad mare Joppe, juxta quod præceperat Cyrus rex Persarum eis.~(vulgate) Ezra 3:7 They gaue money also vnto the masons, and to the workemen, and meat and drinke, & oyle vnto them of Zidon and of Tyrus, to bring them cedar wood from Lebanon to the sea vnto Iapho, according to the graunt that they had of Cyrus King of Persia.(Geneva) Ezr 3:7 Sie gaben aber Geld den Steinmetzen und Zimmerleuten und Speise und Trank und Öl denen zu Sidon und zu Tyrus, daß sie Zedernholz vom Libanon aufs Meer gen Japho brächten nach dem Befehl des Kores, des Königs in Persien, an sie.(dhs) Ezr 3:7 They also gave money to the masons and the carpenters, and food, drink, and oil to the people of Sidon and Tyre to bring cedar logs from Lebanon to the sea, to Joppa, according to the permission which they had from Cyrus king of Persia.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 3:8 ============ Ezr 3:8 Now in the second year of their coming to the house of God at Jerusalem in the second month, Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel and Jeshua the son of Jozadak and the rest of their brothers the priests and the Levites, and all who came from the captivity to Jerusalem, began the work and appointed the Levites from twenty years and older to oversee the work of the house of the Lord.(nas) Ezr 3:8 καὶ ἐν τῷ ἔτει τῷ δευτέρῳ τοῦ ἐλθεῖν αὐτοὺς εἰς οἶκον τοῦ θεοῦ εἰς Ιερουσαλημ ἐν μηνὶ τῷ δευτέρῳ ἤρξατο Ζοροβαβελ ὁ τοῦ Σαλαθιηλ καὶ Ἰησοῦς ὁ τοῦ Ιωσεδεκ καὶ οἱ κατάλοιποι τῶν ἀδελφῶν αὐτῶν οἱ ἱερεῖς καὶ οἱ Λευῖται καὶ πάντες οἱ ἐρχόμενοι ἀπὸ τῆς αἰχμαλωσίας εἰς Ιερουσαλημ καὶ ἔστησαν τοὺς Λευίτας ἀπὸ εἰκοσαετοῦς καὶ ἐπάνω ἐπὶ τοὺς ποιοῦντας τὰ ἔργα ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου (lxx) Ezr 3:8 Anno autem secundo adventus eorum ad templum Dei in Jerusalem, mense secundo, cœperunt Zorobabel filius Salathiel, et Josue filius Josedec, et reliqui de fratribus eorum sacerdotes, et Levitæ, et omnes qui venerant de captivitate in Jerusalem, et constituerunt Levitas a viginti annis et supra, ut urgerent opus Domini.(vulgate) Ezra 3:8 And in the seconde yeere of their comming vnto the house of God in Ierusalem in the second moneth began Zerubbabel the sonne of Shealtiel, and Ieshua the sonne of Iozadak, and the remnant of their brethren the Priests and the Leuites, and all they that were come out of the captiuitie vnto Ierusalem, and appointed the Leuites from twentie yeere olde and aboue, to set forwarde the worke of the house of the Lorde.(Geneva) Ezr 3:8 Im zweiten Jahr ihrer Ankunft am Hause Gottes zu Jerusalem, im zweiten Monat, fingen an Serubabel, der Sohn Sealthiels, und Jesua, der Sohn Jozadaks, und die übrigen ihrer Brüder, Priester und Leviten, und alle, die aus der Gefangenschaft gekommen waren gen und bestellten die Leviten von zwanzig Jahren und darüber, zu treiben das Werk am Hause des HERRN.(dhs) Ezr 3:8 Now in the second month of the second year of their coming to the house of God at Jerusalem, Zerubbabel the son of Shealtiel, Jeshua the son of Jozadak, and the rest of their brethren the priests and the Levites, and all those who had come out of the captivity to Jerusalem, began work and appointed the Levites from twenty years old and above to oversee the work of the house of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 3:9 ============ Ezr 3:9 Then Jeshua with his sons and brothers stood united with Kadmiel and his sons, the sons of Judah and the sons of Henadad with their sons and brothers the Levites, to oversee the workmen in the temple of God.(nas) Ezr 3:9 καὶ ἔστη Ἰησοῦς καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτοῦ Καδμιηλ καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ αὐτοῦ υἱοὶ Ιουδα ἐπὶ τοὺς ποιοῦντας τὰ ἔργα ἐν οἴκῳ τοῦ θεοῦ υἱοὶ Ηναδαδ υἱοὶ αὐτῶν καὶ ἀδελφοὶ αὐτῶν οἱ Λευῖται (lxx) Ezr 3:9 Stetitque Josue et filii ejus et fratres ejus, Cedmihel et filii ejus, et filii Juda, quasi vir unus, ut instarent super eos qui faciebant opus in templo Dei: filii Henadad, et filii eorum, et fratres eorum Levitæ.(vulgate) Ezra 3:9 And Ieshua stood with his sonnes, and his brethren, and Kadmiel with his sonnes, and the sonnes of Iudah together to set forward ye workemen in the house of God, and the sonnes of Henadad with their sonnes, and their brethren the Leuites.(Geneva) Ezr 3:9 Und Jesua stand mit seinen Söhnen und Brüdern und Kadmiel his sons and brothers, Kadmiel with his sons, and the sons of Judah, arose as one to oversee those working on the house of God: the sons of Henadad with their sons and their brethren the Levites.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 3:10 ============ Ezr 3:10 Now when the builders had laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the Lord according to the directions of King David of Israel.(nas) Ezr 3:10 καὶ ἐθεμελίωσαν τοῦ οἰκοδομῆσαι τὸν οἶκον κυρίου καὶ ἔστησαν οἱ ἱερεῖς ἐστολισμένοι ἐν σάλπιγξιν καὶ οἱ Λευῖται υἱοὶ Ασαφ ἐν κυμβάλοις τοῦ αἰνεῖν τὸν κύριον ἐπὶ χεῖρας Δαυιδ βασιλέως Ισραηλ (lxx) Ezr 3:10 Fundato igitur a cæmentariis templo Domini, steterunt sacerdotes in ornatu suo cum tubis, et Levitæ filii Asaph in cymbalis, ut laudarent Deum per manus David regis Israël.(vulgate) Ezra 3:10 And when the builders layed the foundation of the Temple of the Lorde, they appoynted the Priestes in their apparel with trumpets, and the Leuites the sonnes of Asaph with cymbales, to prayse the Lord, after the ordinance of Dauid King of Israel.(Geneva) Ezr 3:10 Und da die Bauleute den Grund legten am Tempel des HERRN, standen die Priester in ihren Kleidern mit Drommeten und die Leviten, die Kinder Asaph, mit Zimbeln, zu loben den HERRN mit dem Gedicht Davids, des Königs über Israel,(dhs) Ezr 3:10 When the builders laid the foundation of the temple of the Lord, the priests stood in their apparel with trumpets, and the Levites, the sons of Asaph, with cymbals, to praise the Lord, according to the ordinance of David king of Israel.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 3:11 ============ Ezr 3:11 They sang, praising and giving thanks to the Lord, saying, "For He is good, for His lovingkindness is upon Israel forever." And all the people shouted with a great shout when they praised the Lord because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.(nas) Ezr 3:11 καὶ ἀπεκρίθησαν ἐν αἴνῳ καὶ ἀνθομολογήσει τῷ κυρίῳ ὅτι ἀγαθόν ὅτι εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα τὸ ἔλεος αὐτοῦ ἐπὶ Ισραηλ καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς ἐσήμαινον φωνὴν μεγάλην αἰνεῖν τῷ κυρίῳ ἐπὶ θεμελιώσει οἴκου κυρίου (lxx) Ezr 3:11 Et concinebant in hymnis, et confessione Domino: Quoniam bonus, quoniam in æternum misericordia ejus super Israël. Omnis quoque populus vociferabatur clamore magno in laudando Dominum, eo quod fundatum esset templum Domini.(vulgate) Ezra 3:11 Thus they sang when they gaue prayse, and when they gaue thankes vnto the Lorde, For he is good, for his mercie endureth for euer toward Israel; all the people shouted with a great shoute, when they praysed the Lorde, because the foundation of the house of the Lorde was layed.(Geneva) Ezr 3:11 und sangen umeinander und lobten und dankten dem HERRN, daß er gütig ist und seine Barmherzigkeit ewiglich währet über Israel. Und alles Volk jauchzte laut beim Lobe des HERRN, daß der Grund am Hause des HERRN gelegt war.(dhs) Ezr 3:11 And they sang responsively, praising and giving thanks to the Lord: "For He is good, For His mercy endures forever toward Israel." Then all the people shouted with a great shout, when they praised the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 3:12 ============ Ezr 3:12 Yet many of the priests and Levites and heads of fathers' households, the old men who had seen the first temple, wept with a loud voice when the foundation of this house was laid before their eyes, while many shouted aloud for joy,(nas) Ezr 3:12 καὶ πολλοὶ ἀπὸ τῶν ἱερέων καὶ τῶν Λευιτῶν καὶ ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν οἱ πρεσβύτεροι οἳ εἴδοσαν τὸν οἶκον τὸν πρῶτον ἐν θεμελιώσει αὐτοῦ καὶ τοῦτον τὸν οἶκον ἐν ὀφθαλμοῖς αὐτῶν ἔκλαιον φωνῇ μεγάλῃ καὶ ὄχλος ἐν σημασίᾳ μετ᾽ εὐφροσύνης τοῦ ὑψῶσαι ᾠδήν (lxx) Ezr 3:12 Plurimi etiam de sacerdotibus et Levitis, et principes patrum, et seniores, qui viderant templum prius cum fundatum esset, et hoc templum, in oculis eorum, flebant voce magna: et multi vociferantes in lætitia, elevabant vocem.(vulgate) Ezra 3:12 Many also of the Priests & the Leuites and the chiefe of the fathers, ancient men which had seene the first house, (when the foundation of this house was layed before their eyes) wept with a loud voyce, and many shouted aloud for ioy,(Geneva) Ezr 3:12 Aber viele der alten Priester und Leviten und Obersten der Vaterhäuser, die das vorige Haus gesehen hatten, da nun dies Haus vor ihren Augen gegründet ward, weinten sie laut. Viele aber jauchzten mit Freuden, daß das Geschrei hoch erscholl,(dhs) Ezr 3:12 But many of the priests and Levites and heads of the fathers' houses, old men who had seen the first temple, wept with a loud voice when the foundation of this temple was laid before their eyes. Yet many shouted aloud for joy,(nkjv) ======= Ezra 3:13 ============ Ezr 3:13 so that the people could not distinguish the sound of the shout of joy from the sound of the weeping of the people, for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the sound was heard far away. (nas) Ezr 3:13 καὶ οὐκ ἦν ὁ λαὸς ἐπιγινώσκων φωνὴν σημασίας τῆς εὐφροσύνης ἀπὸ τῆς φωνῆς τοῦ κλαυθμοῦ τοῦ λαοῦ ὅτι ὁ λαὸς ἐκραύγασεν φωνῇ μεγάλῃ καὶ ἡ φωνὴ ἠκούετο ἕως ἀπὸ μακρόθεν (lxx) Ezr 3:13 Nec poterat quisquam agnoscere vocem clamoris lætantium, et vocem fletus populi: commistim enim populus vociferabatur clamore magno, et vox audiebatur procul.(vulgate) Ezra 3:13 So that the people coulde not discerne the sound of the shoute for ioy, from the noyse of the weeping of the people: for the people shouted with a loude crie, & the noyse was heard farre off.(Geneva) Ezr 3:13 also daß das Volk nicht unterscheiden konnte das Jauchzen mit Freuden und das laute Weinen im Volk; denn das Volk jauchzte laut, daß man das Geschrei ferne hörte.(dhs) Ezr 3:13 so that the people could not discern the noise of the shout of joy from the noise of the weeping of the people, for the people shouted with a loud shout, and the sound was heard afar off.(nkjv) ======= Ezra 4:1 ============ Ezr 4:1 Now when the enemies of Judah and Benjamin heard that the people of the exile were building a temple to the Lord God of Israel,(nas) Ezr 4:1 καὶ ἤκουσαν οἱ θλίβοντες Ιουδα καὶ Βενιαμιν ὅτι οἱ υἱοὶ τῆς ἀποικίας οἰκοδομοῦσιν οἶκον τῷ κυρίῳ θεῷ Ισραηλ (lxx) Ezr 4:1 Audierunt autem hostes Judæ et Benjamin, quia filii captivitatis ædificarent templum Domino Deo Israël:(vulgate) Ezra 4:1 Bvt the aduersaries of Iudah and Beniamin heard, that the children of the captiuitie builded the Temple vnto the Lord God of Israel.(Geneva) Ezr 4:1 Da aber die Widersacher Juda's und Benjamins hörten, daß die Kinder der Gefangenschaft dem HERRN, dem Gott Israels, den Tempel bauten,(dhs) Ezr 4:1 Now when the adversaries of Judah and Benjamin heard that the descendants of the captivity were building the temple of the Lord God of Israel,(nkjv) |
