(nas) Isa 56:1 τάδε λέγει κύριος φυλάσσεσθε κρίσιν ποιήσατε δικαιοσύνην ἤγγισεν γὰρ τὸ σωτήριόν μου παραγίνεσθαι καὶ τὸ ἔλεός μου ἀποκαλυφθῆναι (lxx) Isa 56:1 [Hæc dicit Dominus: Custodite judicium, et facite justitiam, quia juxta est salus mea ut veniat, et justitia mea ut reveletur.(vulgate) Isaiah 56:1 Thus saith the Lorde, Keepe iudgement and doe iustice: for my saluation is at hand to come, and my righteousnes to be reueiled.(Geneva) Isa 56:1 So spricht der HERR: Haltet das Recht und tut Gerechtigkeit; denn mein Heil ist nahe, daß es komme, und meine Gerechtigkeit, daß sie offenbart werde.(dhs) Isa 56:1 Thus says the Lord: "Keep justice, and do righteousness, For My salvation is about to come, And My righteousness to be revealed.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:2 ============ Isa 56:2 "How blessed is the man who does this, And the son of man who takes hold of it; Who keeps from profaning the sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil."(nas) Isa 56:2 μακάριος ἀνὴρ ὁ ποιῶν ταῦτα καὶ ἄνθρωπος ὁ ἀντεχόμενος αὐτῶν καὶ φυλάσσων τὰ σάββατα μὴ βεβηλοῦν καὶ διατηρῶν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτοῦ μὴ ποιεῖν ἀδίκημα (lxx) Isa 56:2 Beatus vir qui facit hoc, et filius hominis qui apprehendet istud, custodiens sabbatum ne polluat illud, custodiens manus suas ne faciat omne malum.(vulgate) Isaiah 56:2 Blessed is the man that doeth this, and the sonne of man which layeth holde on it: hee that keepeth the Sabbath and polluteth it not, and keepeth his hand from doing any euill.(Geneva) Isa 56:2 Wohl dem Menschen, der solches tut, und dem Menschenkind, der es festhält, daß er den Sabbat halte und nicht entheilige und halte seine Hand, daß er kein Arges tue!(dhs) Isa 56:2 Blessed is the man who does this, And the son of man who lays hold on it; Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And keeps his hand from doing any evil."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:3 ============ Isa 56:3 Let not the foreigner who has joined himself to the Lord say, "The Lord will surely separate me from His people." Nor let the eunuch say, "Behold, I am a dry tree."(nas) Isa 56:3 μὴ λεγέτω ὁ ἀλλογενὴς ὁ προσκείμενος πρὸς κύριον ἀφοριεῖ με ἄρα κύριος ἀπὸ τοῦ λαοῦ αὐτοῦ καὶ μὴ λεγέτω ὁ εὐνοῦχος ὅτι ἐγώ εἰμι ξύλον ξηρόν (lxx) Isa 56:3 Et non dicat filius advenæ qui adhæret Domino, dicens: Separatione dividet me Dominus a populo suo; et non dicat eunuchus: Ecce ego lignum aridum.(vulgate) Isaiah 56:3 And let not the sonne of the stranger, which is ioyned to the Lord, speake and say, The Lord hath surely separate me from his people: neither let the Eunuch say, Beholde, I am a drye tree.(Geneva) Isa 56:3 Und der Fremde, der zum HERRN sich getan hat, soll nicht sagen: Der HERR wird mich scheiden von seinem Volk; und der Verschnittene soll nicht sagen: Siehe, ich bin ein dürrer Baum.(dhs) Isa 56:3 Do not let the son of the foreigner Who has joined himself to the Lord Speak, saying, "The Lord has utterly separated me from His people"; Nor let the eunuch say, "Here I am, a dry tree."(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:4 ============ Isa 56:4 For thus says the Lord, "To the eunuchs who keep My sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant, (nas) Isa 56:4 τάδε λέγει κύριος τοῖς εὐνούχοις ὅσοι ἂν φυλάξωνται τὰ σάββατά μου καὶ ἐκλέξωνται ἃ ἐγὼ θέλω καὶ ἀντέχωνται τῆς διαθήκης μου (lxx) Isa 56:4 Quia hæc dicit Dominus eunuchis: Qui custodierint sabbata mea, et elegerint quæ ego volui, et tenuerint fœdus meum,(vulgate) Isaiah 56:4 For thus saith the Lord vnto the Eunuches, that keepe my Sabbaths, and chuse the thing that pleaseth me, and take holde of my couenant,(Geneva) Isa 56:4 Denn so spricht der HERR von den Verschnittenen, welche meine Sabbate halten und erwählen, was mir wohl gefällt, und meinen Bund fest fassen:(dhs) Isa 56:4 For thus says the Lord: "To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths, And choose what pleases Me, And hold fast My covenant,(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:5 ============ Isa 56:5 To them I will give in My house and within My walls a memorial, And a name better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name which will not be cut off. (nas) Isa 56:5 δώσω αὐτοῖς ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ μου καὶ ἐν τῷ τείχει μου τόπον ὀνομαστὸν κρείττω υἱῶν καὶ θυγατέρων ὄνομα αἰώνιον δώσω αὐτοῖς καὶ οὐκ ἐκλείψει (lxx) Isa 56:5 dabo eis in domo mea et in muris meis locum, et nomen melius a filiis et filiabus: nomen sempiternum dabo eis, quod non peribit.(vulgate) Isaiah 56:5 Euen vnto them wil I giue in mine House and within my walles, a place and a name better then of the sonnes and of the daughters: I will giue them an euerlasting name, that shall not be put out.(Geneva) Isa 56:5 Ich will ihnen in meinem Hause und in meinen Mauern einen Ort und einen Namen geben, besser denn Söhne und Töchter; einen ewigen Namen will ich ihnen geben, der nicht vergehen soll.(dhs) Isa 56:5 Even to them I will give in My house And within My walls a place and a name Better than that of sons and daughters; I will give them an everlasting name That shall not be cut off.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:6 ============ Isa 56:6 "Also the foreigners who join themselves to the Lord, To minister to Him, and to love the name of the Lord, To be His servants, every one who keeps from profaning the sabbath And holds fast My covenant; (nas) Isa 56:6 καὶ τοῖς ἀλλογενέσι τοῖς προσκειμένοις κυρίῳ δουλεύειν αὐτῷ καὶ ἀγαπᾶν τὸ ὄνομα κυρίου τοῦ εἶναι αὐτῷ εἰς δούλους καὶ δούλας καὶ πάντας τοὺς φυλασσομένους τὰ σάββατά μου μὴ βεβηλοῦν καὶ ἀντεχομένους τῆς διαθήκης μου (lxx) Isa 56:6 Et filios advenæ, qui adhærent Domino, ut colant eum, et diligant nomen ejus, ut sint ei in servos; omnem custodientem sabbatum ne polluat illud, et tenentem fœdus meum;(vulgate) Isaiah 56:6 Also the strangers that cleaue vnto the Lord, to serue him, and to loue the Name of the Lord, and to be his seruants: euery one that keepeth the Sabbath, and polluteth it not and imbraceth my couenant,(Geneva) Isa 56:6 Und die Fremden, die sich zum HERR getan haben, daß sie ihm dienen und seinen Namen lieben, auf daß sie seine Knechte seien, ein jeglicher, der den Sabbat hält, daß er ihn nicht entweihe, und meinen Bund festhält,(dhs) Isa 56:6 "Also the sons of the foreigner Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him, And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants-- Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath, And holds fast My covenant--(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:7 ============ Isa 56:7 Even those I will bring to My holy mountain And make them joyful in My house of prayer. Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices will be acceptable on My altar; For My house will be called a house of prayer for all the peoples."(nas) Isa 56:7 εἰσάξω αὐτοὺς εἰς τὸ ὄρος τὸ ἅγιόν μου καὶ εὐφρανῶ αὐτοὺς ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ τῆς προσευχῆς μου τὰ ὁλοκαυτώματα αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ θυσίαι αὐτῶν ἔσονται δεκταὶ ἐπὶ τοῦ θυσιαστηρίου μου ὁ γὰρ οἶκός μου οἶκος προσευχῆς κληθήσεται πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν (lxx) Isa 56:7 adducam eos in montem sanctum meum, et lætificabo eos in domo orationis meæ; holocausta eorum et victimæ eorum placebunt mihi super altari meo, quia domus mea domus orationis vocabitur cunctis populis.(vulgate) Isaiah 56:7 Them wil I bring also to mine holy mountaine, and make them ioyfull in mine House of prayer: their burnt offerings and their sacrifices shall be accepted vpon mine altar: for mine House shall be called an house of prayer for all people.(Geneva) Isa 56:7 die will ich zu meinem heiligen Berge bringen und will sie erfreuen in meinem Bethause, und ihre Opfer und Brandopfer sollen mir angenehm sein auf meinem Altar; denn mein Haus wird heißen ein Bethaus allen Völkern.(dhs) Isa 56:7 Even them I will bring to My holy mountain, And make them joyful in My house of prayer. (nas) Isa 56:9 πάντα τὰ θηρία τὰ ἄγρια δεῦτε φάγετε πάντα τὰ θηρία τοῦ δρυμοῦ (lxx) Isa 56:9 [Omnes bestiæ agri, venite ad devorandum, universæ bestiæ saltus.(vulgate) Isaiah 56:9 All ye beastes of the fielde, come to deuoure, euen all ye beastes of the forest.(Geneva) Isa 56:9 Alle Tiere auf dem Felde, kommet, und fresset, ja alle Tiere im Walde!(dhs) Isa 56:9 All you beasts of the field, come to devour, All you beasts in the forest.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:10 ============ Isa 56:10 His watchmen are blind, All of them know nothing. All of them are mute dogs unable to bark, Dreamers lying down, who love to slumber; (nas) Isa 56:10 ἴδετε ὅτι πάντες ἐκτετύφλωνται οὐκ ἔγνωσαν φρονῆσαι πάντες κύνες ἐνεοί οὐ δυνήσονται ὑλακτεῖν ἐνυπνιαζόμενοι κοίτην φιλοῦντες νυστάξαι (lxx) Isa 56:10 Speculatores ejus cæci omnes; nescierunt universi: canes muti non valentes latrare, videntes vana, dormientes, et amantes somnia.(vulgate) Isaiah 56:10 Their watchmen are all blinde: they haue no knowledge: they are all dumme dogs: they can not barke: they lie and sleepe and delite in sleeping.(Geneva) Isa 56:10 Alle ihre Wächter sind blind, sie wissen nichts; stumme Hunde sind sie, die nicht strafen können, sind faul, liegen und schlafen gerne.(dhs) Isa 56:10 His watchmen are blind, They are all ignorant; They are all dumb dogs, They cannot bark; Sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.(nkjv) ======= Isaiah 56:11 ============ Isa 56:11 And the dogs are greedy, they are not satisfied. And they are shepherds who have no understanding; They have all turned to their own way, Each one to his unjust gain, to the last one. (nas) Isa 56:11 καὶ οἱ κύνες ἀναιδεῖς τῇ ψυχῇ οὐκ εἰδότες πλησμονήν καί εἰσιν πονηροὶ οὐκ εἰδότες σύνεσιν πάντες ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτῶν ἐξηκολούθησαν ἕκαστος κατὰ τὸ ἑαυτοῦ (lxx) Isa 56:11 Et canes imprudentissimi nescierunt saturitatem; ipsi pastores ignoraverunt intelligentiam: omnes in viam suam declinaverunt; unusquisque ad avaritiam suam, a summo usque ad novissimum.(vulgate) Isaiah 56:11 And these griedy dogs can neuer haue ynough: and these shepheards cannot vnderstand: for they all looke to their owne way, euery one for his aduantage, and for his owne purpose.(Geneva) Isa 56:11 Es sind aber gierige Hunde, die nimmer satt werden können. For the righteous man is taken away from evil, (nas) Isa 57:1 ἴδετε ὡς ὁ δίκαιος ἀπώλετο καὶ οὐδεὶς ἐκδέχεται τῇ καρδίᾳ καὶ ἄνδρες δίκαιοι αἴρονται καὶ οὐδεὶς κατανοεῖ ἀπὸ γὰρ προσώπου ἀδικίας ἦρται ὁ δίκαιος (lxx) Isa 57:1 [Justus perit, et non est qui recogitet in corde suo; et viri misericordiæ colliguntur, quia non est qui intelligat: a facie enim malitiæ collectus est justus.(vulgate) Isaiah 57:1 The righteous perisheth, and no man considereth it in heart: and mercifull men are taken away, and no man vnderstandeth that the righteous is taken away from the euill to come.(Geneva) Isa 57:1 Aber der Gerechte kommt um, und niemand ist, der es zu Herzen nehme; und heilige Leute werden aufgerafft, und niemand achtet darauf.
