Then I will enter into judgment with them there On behalf of My people and My inheritance, Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; And they have divided up My land. (nas) Joe 3:2 καὶ συνάξω πάντα τὰ ἔθνη καὶ κατάξω αὐτὰ εἰς τὴν κοιλάδα Ιωσαφατ καὶ διακριθήσομαι πρὸς αὐτοὺς ἐκεῖ ὑπὲρ τοῦ λαοῦ μου καὶ τῆς κληρονομίας μου Ισραηλ οἳ διεσπάρησαν ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν καὶ τὴν γῆν μου καταδιείλαντο (lxx) Joe 3:2 congregabo omnes gentes, et deducam eas in vallem Josaphat; et disceptabo cum eis ibi super populo meo, et hæreditate mea Israël, quos disperserunt in nationibus, et terram meam diviserunt.(vulgate) Joel 3:2 I will also gather all nations, and wil bring them downe into the valley of Iehoshaphat, & will pleade with them there for my people, & for mine heritage Israel, whom they haue scattered among the nations, and parted my land.(Geneva) Joe 3:2 will ich alle Heiden zusammenbringen und will sie in das Tal Josaphat hinabführen und will mit ihnen daselbst rechten wegen meines Volks und meines Erbteils Israel, weil sie es unter die Heiden zerstreut und sich mein Land geteilt(dhs) Joe 3:2 I will also gather all nations, And bring them down to the Valley of Jehoshaphat; And I will enter into judgment with them there On account of My people, My heritage Israel, Whom they have scattered among the nations; They have also divided up My land.(nkjv) ======= Joel 3:3 ============ Joe 3:3 "They have also cast lots for My people, Traded a boy for a harlot And sold a girl for wine that they may drink. (nas) Joe 3:3 καὶ ἐπὶ τὸν λαόν μου ἔβαλον κλήρους καὶ ἔδωκαν τὰ παιδάρια πόρναις καὶ τὰ κοράσια ἐπώλουν ἀντὶ οἴνου καὶ ἔπινον (lxx) Joe 3:3 Et super populum meum miserunt sortem; et posuerunt puerum in prostibulo, et puellam vendiderunt pro vino ut biberent.(vulgate) Joel 3:3 And they haue cast lottes for my people, and haue giuen the childe for the harlot, & sold the girle for wine, that they might drinke.(Geneva) Joe 3:3 und das Los um mein Volk geworfen haben; und haben die Knaben um Speise gegeben und die Mägdlein um Wein verkauft und vertrunken.(dhs) Joe 3:3 They have cast lots for My people, Have given a boy as payment for a harlot, And sold a girl for wine, that they may drink.(nkjv) ======= Joel 3:4 ============ Joe 3:4 Moreover, what are you to Me, O Tyre, Sidon and all the regions of Philistia? Are you rendering Me a recompense? But if you do recompense Me, swiftly and speedily I will return your recompense on your head. (nas) Joe 3:4 καὶ τί καὶ ὑμεῖς ἐμοί Τύρος καὶ Σιδὼν καὶ πᾶσα Γαλιλαία ἀλλοφύλων μὴ ἀνταπόδομα ὑμεῖς ἀνταποδίδοτέ μοι ἢ μνησικακεῖτε ὑμεῖς ἐπ᾽ ἐμοὶ ὀξέως καὶ ταχέως ἀνταποδώσω τὸ ἀνταπόδομα ὑμῶν εἰς κεφαλὰς ὑμῶν (lxx) Joe 3:4 Verum quid mihi et vobis, Tyrus et Sidon, et omnis terminus Palæstinorum? numquid ultionem vos reddetis mihi? et si ulciscimini vos contra me, cito velociter reddam vicissitudinem vobis super caput vestrum.(vulgate) Joel 3:4 Yea, and what haue you to do with me, O Tyrus and Zidon and all the costes of Palestina? will ye render me a recompence? and if ye recompence mee, swiftly and speedily will I render your recompence vpon your head:(Geneva) Joe 3:4 Und ihr von Tyrus und Sidon und alle Kreise der Philister, was habt ihr mit mir zu tun? Wollt ihr mir trotzen? Wohlan, trotzet ihr mir, so will ich's euch eilend und bald wiedervergelten auf euren Kopf.(dhs) Joe 3:4 "Indeed, what have you to do with Me, O Tyre and Sidon, and all the coasts of Philistia? Will you retaliate against Me? Let all the soldiers draw near, let them come up! (nas) Joe 3:9 κηρύξατε ταῦτα ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ἁγιάσατε πόλεμον ἐξεγείρατε τοὺς μαχητάς προσαγάγετε καὶ ἀναβαίνετε πάντες ἄνδρες πολεμισταί (lxx) Joe 3:9 Clamate hoc in gentibus, sanctificate bellum, suscitate robustos: accedant, ascendant omnes viri bellatores.(vulgate) Joel 3:9 Publish this among the Gentiles: prepare warre, wake vp the mightie men: let all the men of warre drawe neere and come vp.(Geneva) Joe 3:9 Rufet dies aus unter den Heiden! Wake up the mighty men, Let all the men of war draw near, Let them come up.(nkjv) ======= Joel 3:10 ============ Joe 3:10 Beat your plowshares into swords And your pruning hooks into spears; Let the weak say, "I am a mighty man."(nas) Joe 3:10 συγκόψατε τὰ ἄροτρα ὑμῶν εἰς ῥομφαίας καὶ τὰ δρέπανα ὑμῶν εἰς σειρομάστας ὁ ἀδύνατος λεγέτω ὅτι ἰσχύω ἐγώ (lxx) Joe 3:10 Concidite aratra vestra in gladios, et ligones vestros in lanceas. Come, tread, for the wine press is full; The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great. (nas) Joe 3:13 ἐξαποστείλατε δρέπανα ὅτι παρέστηκεν τρύγητος εἰσπορεύεσθε πατεῖτε διότι πλήρης ἡ ληνός ὑπερεκχεῖται τὰ ὑπολήνια ὅτι πεπλήθυνται τὰ κακὰ αὐτῶν (lxx) Joe 3:13 Mittite falces, quoniam maturavit messis; venite, et descendite, quia plenum est torcular, exuberant torcularia: quia multiplicata est malitia eorum.(vulgate) Joel 3:13 Put in your sithes, for the haruest is ripe: come, get you downe, for the winepresse is full: yea, the winepresses runne ouer, for their wickednesse is great.(Geneva) Joe 3:13 Schlagt die Sichel an, denn die Ernte ist reif; kommt herab, denn die Kelter ist voll, und die Kufen laufen über; denn ihre Bosheit ist groß.(dhs) Joe 3:13 Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. So Jerusalem will be holy, And strangers will pass through it no more. (nas) Joe 3:17 καὶ ἐπιγνώσεσθε διότι ἐγὼ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν ὁ κατασκηνῶν ἐν Σιων ἐν ὄρει ἁγίῳ μου καὶ ἔσται Ιερουσαλημ πόλις ἁγία καὶ ἀλλογενεῖς οὐ διελεύσονται δι᾽ αὐτῆς οὐκέτι (lxx) Joe 3:17 Et scietis quia ego Dominus Deus vester, habitans in Sion monte sancto meo; et erit Jerusalem sancta, et alieni non transibunt per eam amplius.(vulgate) Joel 3:17 So shall ye know that I am the Lord your God dwelling in Zion, mine holy Mountaine: then shall Ierusalem bee holy, and there shall no strangers go thorowe her any more.(Geneva) Joe 3:17 Und ihr sollt es erfahren, daß ich, der HERR, euer Gott, zu Zion auf meinem heiligen Berge wohne. Alsdann wird Jerusalem heilig sein und kein Fremder mehr durch sie wandeln.(dhs) Joe 3:17 "So you shall know that I am the Lord your God, Dwelling in Zion My holy mountain. Then Jerusalem shall be holy, And no aliens shall ever pass through her again."(nkjv) ======= Joel 3:18 ============ Joe 3:18 And in that day The mountains will drip with sweet wine, And the hills will flow with milk, And all the brooks of Judah will flow with water; And a spring will go out from the house of the Lord To water the valley of Shittim. (nas) Joe 3:18 καὶ ἔσται ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ ἀποσταλάξει τὰ ὄρη γλυκασμόν καὶ οἱ βουνοὶ ῥυήσονται γάλα καὶ πᾶσαι αἱ ἀφέσεις Ιουδα ῥυήσονται ὕδατα καὶ πηγὴ ἐξ οἴκου κυρίου ἐξελεύσεται καὶ ποτιεῖ τὸν χειμάρρουν τῶν σχοίνων (lxx) Joe 3:18 Et erit in die illa: stillabunt montes dulcedinem, et colles fluent lacte, et per omnes rivos Juda ibunt aquæ; et fons de domo Domini egredietur, et irrigabit torrentem spinarum.(vulgate) Joel 3:18 And in that day shal the mountaines drop downe newe wine, and the hilles shall flowe with milke, and al the riuers of Iudah shall runne with waters, and a fountaine shall come forth of the House of the Lorde, and shall water the valley of Shittim.(Geneva) Joe 3:18 Zur selben Zeit werden die Berge von süßem Wein triefen und die Hügel von Milch fließen, und alle Bäche in Juda werden voll Wasser gehen; und wird eine Quelle vom Hause des HERRN herausgehen, die wird das Tal Sittim wässern.(dhs) Joe 3:18 And it will come to pass in that day That the mountains shall drip with new wine, The hills shall flow with milk, And all the brooks of Judah shall be flooded with water; A fountain shall flow from the house of the Lord And water the Valley of Acacias.(nkjv) ======= Joel 3:19 ============ Joe 3:19 Egypt will become a waste, And Edom will become a desolate wilderness, Because of the violence done to the sons of Judah, In whose land they have shed innocent blood. (nas) Joe 3:19 Αἴγυπτος εἰς ἀφανισμὸν ἔσται καὶ ἡ Ιδουμαία εἰς πεδίον ἀφανισμοῦ ἔσται ἐξ ἀδικιῶν υἱῶν Ιουδα ἀνθ᾽ ὧν ἐξέχεαν αἷμα δίκαιον ἐν τῇ γῇ αὐτῶν (lxx) Joe 3:19 Ægyptus in desolationem erit, et Idumæa in desertum perditionis, pro eo quod inique egerint in filios Juda, et effuderint sanguinem innocentem in terra sua.(vulgate) Joel 3:19 Egypt shalbe waste, and Edom shall be a desolate wildernesse, for the iniuries of the childre of Iudah, because they haue shed innocent blood in their land.(Geneva) Joe 3:19 Aber Ägypten soll wüst werden und Edom eine wüste Einöde um den Frevel, an den Kindern Juda begangen, daß sie unschuldig Blut in ihrem Lande vergossen haben.(dhs) Joe 3:19 "Egypt shall be a desolation, And Edom a desolate wilderness, Because of violence against the people of Judah, For they have shed innocent blood in their land.(nkjv) ======= Joel 3:20 ============ Joe 3:20 But Judah will be inhabited forever And Jerusalem for all generations. (nas) Joe 3:20 ἡ δὲ Ιουδαία εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα κατοικηθήσεται καὶ Ιερουσαλημ εἰς γενεὰς γενεῶν (lxx) Joe 3:20 Et Judæa in æternum habitabitur, et Jerusalem in generationem et generationem.(vulgate) Joel 3:20 But Iudah shall dwell for euer, and Ierusalem from generation to generation.(Geneva) Joe 3:20 Aber Juda soll ewiglich bewohnt werden und Jerusalem für und für.(dhs) Joe 3:20 But Judah shall abide forever, And Jerusalem from generation to generation.(nkjv) ======= Joel 3:21 ============ Joe 3:21 And I will avenge their blood which I have not avenged, For the Lord dwells in Zion.
