================================================================================ ---- Numbers 11:1 ---- written 1450-1410 B.C.---- Num 11:1 καὶ ἦν ὁ λαὸς γογγύζων πονηρὰ ἔναντι κυρίου καὶ ἤκουσεν κύριος καὶ ἐθυμώθη ὀργῇ καὶ ἐξεκαύθη ἐν αὐτοῖς πῦρ παρὰ κυρίου καὶ κατέφαγεν μέρος τι τῆς παρεμβολῆς (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 11:1 Now the people became like those who complain of adversity in the hearing of the Lord; and when the Lord heard it, His anger was kindled, and the fire of the Lord burned among them and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 11:2---- Num 11:2 καὶ ἐκέκραξεν ὁ λαὸς πρὸς Μωυσῆν καὶ ηὔξατο Μωυσῆς πρὸς κύριον καὶ ἐκόπασεν τὸ πῦρ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 11:2 The people therefore cried out to Moses, and Moses prayed to the Lord and the fire died out.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 11:3---- Num 11:3 καὶ ἐκλήθη τὸ ὄνομα τοῦ τόπου ἐκείνου ἐμπυρισμός ὅτι ἐξεκαύθη ἐν αὐτοῖς πῦρ παρὰ κυρίου (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 11:3 So the name of that place was called Taberah, because the fire of the Lord burned among them.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 11:4---- Num 11:4 καὶ ὁ ἐπίμικτος ὁ ἐν αὐτοῖς ἐπεθύμησαν ἐπιθυμίαν καὶ καθίσαντες ἔκλαιον καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Ισραηλ καὶ εἶπαν τίς ἡμᾶς ψωμιεῖ κρέα (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 11:4 The rabble who were among them had greedy desires; and also the sons of Israel wept again and said, "Who will give us meat to eat?(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 11:5---- Num 11:5 ἐμνήσθημεν τοὺς ἰχθύας οὓς ἠσθίομεν ἐν Αἰγύπτῳ δωρεάν καὶ τοὺς σικύας καὶ τοὺς πέπονας καὶ τὰ πράσα καὶ τὰ κρόμμυα καὶ τὰ σκόρδα (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 11:5 We remember the fish which we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers and the melons and the leeks and the onions and the garlic,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 11:6---- Num 11:6 νυνὶ δὲ ἡ ψυχὴ ἡμῶν κατάξηρος οὐδὲν πλὴν εἰς τὸ μαννα οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ἡμῶν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 11:6 but now our appetite is gone. For we were well-off in Egypt." Therefore the Lord will give you meat and you shall eat.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 11:19---- Num 11:19 οὐχ ἡμέραν μίαν φάγεσθε οὐδὲ δύο οὐδὲ πέντε ἡμέρας οὐδὲ δέκα ἡμέρας οὐδὲ εἴκοσι ἡμέρας (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 11:19 You shall eat, not one day, nor two days, nor five days, nor ten days, nor twenty days,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 11:20---- Num 11:20 ἕως μηνὸς ἡμερῶν φάγεσθε ἕως ἂν ἐξέλθῃ ἐκ τῶν μυκτήρων ὑμῶν καὶ ἔσται ὑμῖν εἰς χολέραν ὅτι ἠπειθήσατε κυρίῳ ὅς ἐστιν ἐν ὑμῖν καὶ ἐκλαύσατε ἐναντίον αὐτοῦ λέγοντες ἵνα τί ἡμῖν ἐξελθεῖν ἐξ Αἰγύπτου (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 11:20 but a whole month, until it comes out of your nostrils and becomes loathsome to you; because you have rejected the Lord who is among you and have wept before Him, saying, "Why did we ever leave Egypt?"'"(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 11:21---- Num 11:21 καὶ εἶπεν Μωυσῆς ἑξακόσιαι χιλιάδες πεζῶν ὁ λαός ἐν οἷς εἰμι ἐν αὐτοῖς καὶ σὺ εἶπας κρέα δώσω αὐτοῖς φαγεῖν καὶ φάγονται μῆνα ἡμερῶν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 11:21 But Moses said, "The people, among whom I am, are 600,000 on foot; yet You have said, 'I will give them meat, so that they may eat for a whole month.'(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 11:22---- Num 11:22 μὴ πρόβατα καὶ βόες σφαγήσονται αὐτοῖς καὶ ἀρκέσει αὐτοῖς ἢ πᾶν τὸ ὄψος τῆς θαλάσσης συναχθήσεται αὐτοῖς καὶ ἀρκέσει αὐτοῖς (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 11:22 Should flocks and herds be slaughtered for them, to be sufficient for them? Or should all the fish of the sea be gathered together for them, to be sufficient for them?"(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 11:23---- Num 11:23 καὶ εἶπεν κύριος πρὸς Μωυσῆν μὴ χεὶρ κυρίου οὐκ ἐξαρκέσει ἤδη γνώσει εἰ ἐπικαταλήμψεταί σε ὁ λόγος μου ἢ οὔ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 11:23 The Lord said to Moses, "Is the Lord's power limited? And when the Spirit rested upon them, they prophesied.
