Also, remember that I am your bone and your flesh."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Judges 9:3---- Jdg 9:3 καὶ ἐλάλησαν περὶ αὐτοῦ οἱ ἀδελφοὶ τῆς μητρὸς αὐτοῦ ἐν τοῖς ὠσὶν πάντων τῶν ἀνδρῶν Συχεμ πάντας τοὺς λόγους τούτους καὶ ἔκλινεν ἡ καρδία αὐτῶν ὀπίσω Αβιμελεχ ὅτι εἶπαν ἀδελφὸς ἡμῶν ἐστιν (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jdg 9:3 And his mother's relatives spoke all these words on his behalf in the hearing of all the leaders of Shechem; and they were inclined to follow Abimelech, for they said, "He is our relative."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Judges 9:4---- Jdg 9:4 καὶ ἔδωκαν αὐτῷ ἑβδομήκοντα ἀργυρίου ἐξ οἴκου Βααλβεριθ καὶ ἐμισθώσατο ἑαυτῷ Αβιμελεχ ἄνδρας κενοὺς καὶ δειλούς καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ὀπίσω αὐτοῦ (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jdg 9:4 They gave him seventy pieces of silver from the house of Baal-berith with which Abimelech hired worthless and reckless fellows, and they followed him.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Judges 9:5---- Jdg 9:5 καὶ εἰσῆλθεν εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ εἰς Εφραθα καὶ ἀπέκτεινεν τοὺς ἀδελφοὺς αὐτοῦ υἱοὺς Ιεροβααλ ἑβδομήκοντα ἄνδρας ἐπὶ λίθον ἕνα καὶ κατελείφθη Ιωαθαν υἱὸς Ιεροβααλ ὁ νεώτερος ὅτι ἐκρύβη (LXX 282-105BC) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jdg 9:5 Then he went to his father's house at Ophrah and killed his brothers the sons of Jerubbaal, seventy men, on one stone. Is he not the son of Jerubbaal, and is Zebul not his lieutenant? Then I would remove Abimelech."
