(nasb) Jos 4:3 and command them, saying, 'Take for yourselves twelve stones from here, out of the midst of the Jordan, from the place where the priests' feet stood firm. You shall carry them over with you and leave them in the lodging place where you lodge tonight.' (nasb) Jos 4:5 and Joshua said to them: "Cross over before the ark of the Lord your God into the midst of the Jordan, and each one of you take up a stone on his shoulder, according to the number of the tribes of the children of Israel, (nkjv) Jos 4:5 und sprach zu ihnen: Geht hinüber vor die Lade des HERRN, eures Gottes, mitten in den Jordan und hebe ein jeglicher einen Stein auf seine Achsel, nach der Zahl der Stämme der Kinder Israel,(dhs) Jos 4:5 εἶπεν αὐτοῖς προσαγάγετε ἔμπροσθέν μου πρὸ προσώπου κυρίου εἰς μέσον τοῦ Ιορδάνου καὶ ἀνελόμενος ἐκεῖθεν ἕκαστος λίθον ἀράτω ἐπὶ τῶν ὤμων αὐτοῦ κατὰ τὸν ἀριθμὸν τῶν δώδεκα φυλῶν τοῦ Ισραηλ (lxx) ======= Joshua 4:6 ============ Jos 4:6 Let this be a sign among you, so that when your children ask later, saying, 'What do these stones mean to you?' (nasb) Jos 4:6 that this may be a sign among you when your children ask in time to come, saying, 'What do these stones mean to you?' (nkjv) Jos 4:6 daß sie ein Zeichen seien unter euch. Wenn eure Kinder hernach ihre Väter fragen werden und sprechen: Was tun diese Steine da?(dhs) Jos 4:6 ἵνα ὑπάρχωσιν ὑμῖν οὗτοι εἰς σημεῖον κείμενον διὰ παντός ἵνα ὅταν ἐρωτᾷ σε ὁ υἱός σου αὔριον λέγων τί εἰσιν οἱ λίθοι οὗτοι ὑμῖν (lxx) ======= Joshua 4:7 ============ Jos 4:7 then you shall say to them, 'Because the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord; when it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off.' So these stones shall become a memorial to the sons of Israel forever." (nasb) Jos 4:7 Then you shall answer them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord; when it crossed over the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. And these stones shall be for a memorial to the children of Israel forever." (nkjv) Jos 4:7 so sollt ihr ihnen sagen: Weil das Wasser des Jordans abgerissen ist vor der Lade des Bundes des HERRN, da sie durch den Jordan ging, sollen diese Steine den Kindern Israels ein ewiges Gedächtnis sein.(dhs) Jos 4:7 καὶ σὺ δηλώσεις τῷ υἱῷ σου λέγων ὅτι ἐξέλιπεν ὁ Ιορδάνης ποταμὸς ἀπὸ προσώπου κιβωτοῦ διαθήκης κυρίου πάσης τῆς γῆς ὡς διέβαινεν αὐτόν καὶ ἔσονται οἱ λίθοι οὗτοι ὑμῖν μνημόσυνον τοῖς υἱοῖς Ισραηλ ἕως τοῦ αἰῶνος (lxx) ======= Joshua 4:8 ============ Jos 4:8 Thus the sons of Israel did as Joshua commanded, and took up twelve stones from the middle of the Jordan, just as the Lord spoke to Joshua, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Israel; and they carried them over with them to the lodging place and put them down there. (nkjv) Jos 4:12 Und die Rubeniter und Gaditer und der halbe Stamm Manasse gingen gerüstet vor den Kindern Israel her, wie Mose zu ihnen geredet hatte.(dhs) Jos 4:12 καὶ διέβησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ρουβην καὶ οἱ υἱοὶ Γαδ καὶ οἱ ἡμίσεις φυλῆς Μανασση διεσκευασμένοι ἔμπροσθεν τῶν υἱῶν Ισραηλ καθάπερ ἐνετείλατο αὐτοῖς Μωυσῆς (lxx) ======= Joshua 4:13 ============ Jos 4:13 about 40,000 equipped for war, crossed for battle before the Lord to the desert plains of Jericho. (nasb) Jos 4:13 About forty thousand prepared for war crossed over before the Lord for battle, to the plains of Jericho. (nkjv) Jos 4:13 Bei vierzigtausend Gerüstete zum Heer gingen vor dem HERRN zum Streit auf das Gefilde Jerichos.(dhs) Jos 4:13 τετρακισμύριοι εὔζωνοι εἰς μάχην διέβησαν ἐναντίον κυρίου εἰς πόλεμον πρὸς τὴν Ιεριχω πόλιν (lxx) ======= Joshua 4:14 ============ Jos 4:14 On that day the Lord exalted Joshua in the sight of all Israel; so that they revered him, just as they had revered Moses all the days of his life.
