Today's Date: ======= Joshua 7:1 ============ Jos 7:1 But the sons of Israel acted unfaithfully in regard to the things under the ban, for Achan, the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, from the tribe of Judah, took some of the things under the ban, therefore the anger of the Lord burned against the sons of Israel. (nasb) Jos 7:1 But the children of Israel committed a trespass regarding the accursed things, for Achan the son of Carmi, the son of Zabdi, the son of Zerah, of the tribe of Judah, took of the accursed things; so the anger of the Lord burned against the children of Israel. So the men went up and spied out Ai. Do not weary all the people there, for the people of Ai are few." (nkjv) Jos 7:3 kamen sie wieder zu Josua und sprachen zu ihm: Laß nicht das ganze Volk hinaufziehen, sondern bei zwei-oder dreitausend Mann, daß sie hinaufziehen und schlagen Ai, daß nicht das ganze Volk sich daselbst bemühe; denn ihrer ist wenig.(dhs) Jos 7:3 καὶ ἀνέστρεψαν πρὸς Ἰησοῦν καὶ εἶπαν πρὸς αὐτόν μὴ ἀναβήτω πᾶς ὁ λαός ἀλλ᾽ ὡς δισχίλιοι ἢ τρισχίλιοι ἄνδρες ἀναβήτωσαν καὶ ἐκπολιορκησάτωσαν τὴν πόλιν μὴ ἀναγάγῃς ἐκεῖ τὸν λαὸν πάντα ὀλίγοι γάρ εἰσιν (lxx) ======= Joshua 7:4 ============ Jos 7:4 So about three thousand men from the people went up there, but they fled from the men of Ai. If only we had been willing to dwell beyond the Jordan! Oh, that we had been content, and dwelt on the other side of the Jordan! (nkjv) Jos 7:7 Und Josua sprach: Ach HERR HERR, warum hast du dies Volk über den Jordan geführt, daß du uns in die Hände der Amoriter gäbest, uns umzubringen? Then what will You do for Your great name?" (nkjv) Jos 7:9 Wenn das die Kanaaniter und alle Einwohner des Landes hören, so werden sie uns umbringen und auch unsern Namen ausrotten von der Erde. I will not be with you anymore unless you destroy the things under the ban from your midst. Consecrate the people and say, 'Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, for thus the Lord, the God of Israel, has said, "There are things under the ban in your midst, O Israel. You cannot stand before your enemies until you have removed the things under the ban from your midst." (nasb) Jos 7:13 Get up, sanctify the people, and say, 'Sanctify yourselves for tomorrow, because thus says the Lord God of Israel: "There is an accursed thing in your midst, O Israel; you cannot stand before your enemies until you take away the accursed thing from among you." And it shall be that the tribe which the Lord takes by lot shall come near by families, and the family which the Lord takes shall come near by households, and the household which the Lord takes shall come near man by man.
