(nkjv) Est 2:1 Nach diesen Geschichten, da der Grimm des Königs Ahasveros sich gelegt hatte, gedachte er an Vasthi, was sie getan hatte und was über sie beschlossen war.(dhs) Est 2:1 καὶ μετὰ τοὺς λόγους τούτους ἐκόπασεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τοῦ θυμοῦ καὶ οὐκέτι ἐμνήσθη τῆς Αστιν μνημονεύων οἷα ἐλάλησεν καὶ ὡς κατέκρινεν αὐτήν (lxx) ======= Esther 2:2 ============ Est 2:2 Then the king's attendants, who served him, said, "Let beautiful young virgins be sought for the king. (nasb) Est 2:2 Then the king's servants who attended him said: "Let beautiful young virgins be sought for the king; (nkjv) Est 2:2 Da sprachen die Diener des Königs, die ihm dienten: Man suche dem König junge, schöne Jungfrauen,(dhs) Est 2:2 καὶ εἶπαν οἱ διάκονοι τοῦ βασιλέως ζητηθήτω τῷ βασιλεῖ κοράσια ἄφθορα καλὰ τῷ εἴδει (lxx) ======= Esther 2:3 ============ Est 2:3 Let the king appoint overseers in all the provinces of his kingdom that they may gather every beautiful young virgin to the citadel of Susa, to the harem, into the custody of Hegai, the king's eunuch, who is in charge of the women; and let their cosmetics be given them. (nasb) Est 2:3 and let the king appoint officers in all the provinces of his kingdom, that they may gather all the beautiful young virgins to Shushan the citadel, into the women's quarters, under the custody of Hegai the king's eunuch, custodian of the women. And let beauty preparations be given them. (nkjv) Est 2:3 und der König bestellte Männer in allen Landen seines Königreichs, daß sie allerlei junge, schöne Jungfrauen zusammenbringen gen Schloß Susan ins Frauenhaus unter der Hand Hegais, des Königs Kämmerers, der der Weiber wartet, und man gebe ihnen ihren Schmuck;(dhs) Est 2:3 καὶ καταστήσει ὁ βασιλεὺς κωμάρχας ἐν πάσαις ταῖς χώραις τῆς βασιλείας αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπιλεξάτωσαν κοράσια παρθενικὰ καλὰ τῷ εἴδει εἰς Σουσαν τὴν πόλιν εἰς τὸν γυναικῶνα καὶ παραδοθήτωσαν τῷ εὐνούχῳ τοῦ βασιλέως τῷ φύλακι τῶν γυναικῶν καὶ δοθήτω σμῆγμα καὶ ἡ λοιπὴ ἐπιμέλεια (lxx) ======= Esther 2:4 ============ Est 2:4 Then let the young lady who pleases the king be queen in place of Vashti." And the matter pleased the king, and he did accordingly. (nasb) Est 2:4 Then let the young woman who pleases the king be queen instead of Vashti." This thing pleased the king, and he did so. (nkjv) Est 2:4 und welche Dirne dem König gefällt, die werde Königin an Vasthis Statt. Das gefiel dem König, und er tat also.(dhs) Est 2:4 καὶ ἡ γυνή ἣ ἂν ἀρέσῃ τῷ βασιλεῖ βασιλεύσει ἀντὶ Αστιν καὶ ἤρεσεν τῷ βασιλεῖ τὸ πρᾶγμα καὶ ἐποίησεν οὕτως (lxx) ======= Esther 2:5 ============ Est 2:5 Now there was at the citadel in Susa a Jew whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite, (nasb) Est 2:5 In Shushan the citadel there was a certain Jew whose name was Mordecai the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite. (nkjv) Est 2:5 Es war aber ein jüdischer Mann zu Schloß Susan, der hieß Mardochai, ein Sohn Jairs, des Sohnes Simeis, des Sohnes des Kis, ein Benjaminiter,(dhs) Est 2:5 καὶ ἄνθρωπος ἦν Ιουδαῖος ἐν Σούσοις τῇ πόλει καὶ ὄνομα αὐτῷ Μαρδοχαῖος ὁ τοῦ Ιαϊρου τοῦ Σεμεϊου τοῦ Κισαιου ἐκ φυλῆς Βενιαμιν (lxx) ======= Esther 2:6 ============ Est 2:6 who had been taken into exile from Jerusalem with the captives who had been exiled with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had exiled. (nasb) Est 2:6 Kish had been carried away from Jerusalem with the captives who had been captured with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had carried away. (nkjv) Est 2:6 der mit weggeführt war von Jerusalem, da Jechonja, der König Juda's, weggeführt ward, welchen Nebukadnezar, der König zu Babel, wegführte.(dhs) Est 2:6 ὃς ἦν αἰχμάλωτος ἐξ Ιερουσαλημ ἣν ᾐχμαλώτευσεν Ναβουχοδονοσορ βασιλεὺς Βαβυλῶνος (lxx) ======= Esther 2:7 ============ Est 2:7 He was bringing up Hadassah, that is Esther, his uncle's daughter, for she had no father or mother. Now the young lady was beautiful of form and face, and when her father and her mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter. (nasb) Est 2:7 And Mordecai had brought up Hadassah, that is, Esther, his uncle's daughter, for she had neither father nor mother. The young woman was lovely and beautiful. When her father and mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter. (nkjv) Est 2:7 Und er war ein Vormund der Hadassa, das ist Est r, eine Tochter seines Oheims; denn sie hatte weder Vater noch Mutter. Und sie war eine schöne und feine Dirne. Und da ihr Vater und ihre Mutter starb, nahm sie Mardochai auf zur Tochter.(dhs) Est 2:7 καὶ ἦν τούτῳ παῖς θρεπτή θυγάτηρ Αμιναδαβ ἀδελφοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ καὶ ὄνομα αὐτῇ Εσθηρ ἐν δὲ τῷ μεταλλάξαι αὐτῆς τοὺς γονεῖς ἐπαίδευσεν αὐτὴν ἑαυτῷ εἰς γυναῖκα καὶ ἦν τὸ κοράσιον καλὸν τῷ εἴδει (lxx) ======= Esther 2:8 ============ Est 2:8 So it came about when the command and decree of the king were heard and many young ladies were gathered to the citadel of Susa into the custody of Hegai, that Esther was taken to the king's palace into the custody of Hegai, who was in charge of the women. (nasb) Est 2:8 So it was, when the king's command and decree were heard, and when many young women were gathered at Shushan the citadel, under the custody of Hegai, that Esther also was taken to the king's palace, into the care of Hegai the custodian of the women. (nkjv) Est 2:8 Da nun das Gebot und Gesetz des Königs laut ward und viel Dirnen zuhaufe gebracht wurden gen Schloß Susan unter die Hand Hegais, ward Est r auch genommen zu des Königs Hause unter die Hand Hegais, des Hüters der Weiber.(dhs) Est 2:8 καὶ ὅτε ἠκούσθη τὸ τοῦ βασιλέως πρόσταγμα συνήχθησαν κοράσια πολλὰ εἰς Σουσαν τὴν πόλιν ὑπὸ χεῖρα Γαι καὶ ἤχθη Εσθηρ πρὸς Γαι τὸν φύλακα τῶν γυναικῶν (lxx) ======= Esther 2:9 ============ Est 2:9 Now the young lady pleased him and found favor with him. So he quickly provided her with her cosmetics and food, gave her seven choice maids from the king's palace and transferred her and her maids to the best place in the harem. (nasb) Est 2:9 Now the young woman pleased him, and she obtained his favor; so he readily gave beauty preparations to her, besides her allowance. Then seven choice maidservants were provided for her from the king's palace, and he moved her and her maidservants to the best place in the house of the women. (nkjv) Est 2:9 Und die Dirne gefiel ihm, und sie fand Barmherzigkeit vor ihm. Und er eilte mit ihrem Schmuck, daß er ihr ihren Teil gäbe und sieben feine Dirnen von des Königs Hause dazu. Und er tat sie mit ihren Dirnen an den besten Ort im Frauenhaus.(dhs) Est 2:9 καὶ ἤρεσεν αὐτῷ τὸ κοράσιον καὶ εὗρεν χάριν ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ καὶ ἔσπευσεν αὐτῇ δοῦναι τὸ σμῆγμα καὶ τὴν μερίδα καὶ τὰ ἑπτὰ κοράσια τὰ ἀποδεδειγμένα αὐτῇ ἐκ βασιλικοῦ καὶ ἐχρήσατο αὐτῇ καλῶς καὶ ταῖς ἅβραις αὐτῆς ἐν τῷ γυναικῶνι (lxx) ======= Esther 2:10 ============ Est 2:10 Esther did not make known her people or her kindred, for Mordecai had instructed her that she should not make them known. (nasb) Est 2:10 Esther had not revealed her people or family, for Mordecai had charged her not to reveal it. (nkjv) Est 2:10 Und Est r sagte ihm nicht an ihr Volk und ihre Freundschaft; denn Mardochai hatte ihr geboten, sie sollte es nicht ansagen.(dhs) Est 2:10 καὶ οὐχ ὑπέδειξεν Εσθηρ τὸ γένος αὐτῆς οὐδὲ τὴν πατρίδα ὁ γὰρ Μαρδοχαῖος ἐνετείλατο αὐτῇ μὴ ἀπαγγεῖλαι (lxx) ======= Esther 2:11 ============ Est 2:11 Every day Mordecai walked back and forth in front of the court of the harem to learn how Esther was and how she fared. (nasb) Est 2:11 And every day Mordecai paced in front of the court of the women's quarters, to learn of Esther's welfare and what was happening to her. (nkjv) Est 2:11 Und Mardochai wandelte alle Tage vor dem Hofe am Frauenhaus, daß er erführe, ob's Est r wohl ginge und was ihr geschehen würde.(dhs) Est 2:11 καθ᾽ ἑκάστην δὲ ἡμέραν ὁ Μαρδοχαῖος περιεπάτει κατὰ τὴν αὐλὴν τὴν γυναικείαν ἐπισκοπῶν τί Εσθηρ συμβήσεται (lxx) ======= Esther 2:12 ============ Est 2:12 Now when the turn of each young lady came to go in to King Ahasuerus, after the end of her twelve months under the regulations for the women--for the days of their beautification were completed as follows: six months with oil of myrrh and six months with spices and the cosmetics for women-- (nasb) Est 2:12 Each young woman's turn came to go in to King Ahasuerus after she had completed twelve months' preparation, according to the regulations for the women, for thus were the days of their preparation apportioned: six months with oil of myrrh, and six months with perfumes and preparations for beautifying women. (nkjv) Est 2:12 Wenn aber die bestimmte Zeit einer jeglichen Dirne kam, daß sie zum König Ahasveros kommen sollte, nachdem sie zwölf Monate im Frauen-Schmücken gewesen war (denn ihr Schmücken mußte soviel Zeit haben, nämlich sechs Monate mit Balsam und Myrrhe und sechs Monate mit guter Spezerei, so waren denn die Weiber geschmückt):(dhs) Est 2:12 οὗτος δὲ ἦν καιρὸς κορασίου εἰσελθεῖν πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα ὅταν ἀναπληρώσῃ μῆνας δέκα δύο οὕτως γὰρ ἀναπληροῦνται αἱ ἡμέραι τῆς θεραπείας μῆνας ἓξ ἀλειφόμεναι ἐν σμυρνίνῳ ἐλαίῳ καὶ μῆνας ἓξ ἐν τοῖς ἀρώμασιν καὶ ἐν τοῖς σμήγμασιν τῶν γυναικῶν (lxx) ======= Esther 2:13 ============ Est 2:13 the young lady would go in to the king in this way: anything that she desired was given her to take with her from the harem to the king's palace. (nasb) Est 2:13 Thus prepared, each young woman went to the king, and she was given whatever she desired to take with her from the women's quarters to the king's palace. (nkjv) Est 2:13 alsdann ging die Dirne zum König und alles, was sie wollte, mußte man ihr geben, daß sie damit vom Frauenhaus zu des Königs Hause ginge.(dhs) Est 2:13 καὶ τότε εἰσπορεύεται πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα καὶ ὃ ἐὰν εἴπῃ παραδώσει αὐτῇ συνεισέρχεσθαι αὐτῇ ἀπὸ τοῦ γυναικῶνος ἕως τῶν βασιλείων (lxx) ======= Esther 2:14 ============ Est 2:14 In the evening she would go in and in the morning she would return to the second harem, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's eunuch who was in charge of the concubines. She would not again go in to the king unless the king delighted in her and she was summoned by name. (nasb) Est 2:14 In the evening she went, and in the morning she returned to the second house of the women, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's eunuch who kept the concubines. She would not go in to the king again unless the king delighted in her and called for her by name. (nkjv) Est 2:14 Und wenn eine des Abends hineinkam, die ging des Morgens von ihm in das andere Frauenhaus unter die Hand des Saasgas, des Königs Kämmerers, des Hüters der Kebsweiber Und sie durfte nicht wieder zum König kommen, es lüstete denn den König und er ließ sie mit Namen rufen.(dhs) Est 2:14 δείλης εἰσπορεύεται καὶ πρὸς ἡμέραν ἀποτρέχει εἰς τὸν γυναικῶνα τὸν δεύτερον οὗ Γαι ὁ εὐνοῦχος τοῦ βασιλέως ὁ φύλαξ τῶν γυναικῶν καὶ οὐκέτι εἰσπορεύεται πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα ἐὰν μὴ κληθῇ ὀνόματι (lxx) ======= Esther 2:15 ============ Est 2:15 Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai who had taken her as his daughter, came to go in to the king, she did not request anything except what Hegai, the king's eunuch who was in charge of the women, advised. And Esther found favor in the eyes of all who saw her. (nasb) Est 2:15 Now when the turn came for Esther the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai, who had taken her as his daughter, to go in to the king, she requested nothing but what Hegai the king's eunuch, the custodian of the women, advised. And Esther obtained favor in the sight of all who saw her. (nkjv) Est 2:15 Da nun die Zeit Est rs herankam, der Tochter Abihails, des Oheims Mardochais (die er zur Tochter hatte aufgenommen), daß sie zum König kommen sollte, begehrte sie nichts, denn was Hegai, des Königs Kämmerer, der Weiber Hüter, sprach. Und Est r fand Gnade vor allen, die sie ansahen.(dhs) Est 2:15 ἐν δὲ τῷ ἀναπληροῦσθαι τὸν χρόνον Εσθηρ τῆς θυγατρὸς Αμιναδαβ ἀδελφοῦ πατρὸς Μαρδοχαίου εἰσελθεῖν πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα οὐδὲν ἠθέτησεν ὧν αὐτῇ ἐνετείλατο ὁ εὐνοῦχος ὁ φύλαξ τῶν γυναικῶν ἦν γὰρ Εσθηρ εὑρίσκουσα χάριν παρὰ πάντων τῶν βλεπόντων αὐτήν (lxx) ======= Esther 2:16 ============ Est 2:16 So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus to his royal palace in the tenth month which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign. (nasb) Est 2:16 So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus, into his royal palace, in the tenth month, which is the month of Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign. (nasb) Est 2:17 The king loved Esther more than all the other women, and she obtained grace and favor in his sight more than all the virgins; so he set the royal crown upon her head and made her queen instead of Vashti. (nasb) Est 2:18 Then the king made a great feast, the Feast of Esther, for all his officials and servants; and he proclaimed a holiday in the provinces and gave gifts according to the generosity of a king. (nasb) Est 2:19 When virgins were gathered together a second time, Mordecai sat within the king's gate. (nkjv) Est 2:19 Und da man das anderemal Jungfrauen versammelte, saß Mardochai im Tor des Königs.(dhs) Est 2:19 ὁ δὲ Μαρδοχαῖος ἐθεράπευεν ἐν τῇ αὐλῇ (lxx) ======= Esther 2:20 ============ Est 2:20 Esther had not yet made known her kindred or her people, even as Mordecai had commanded her; for Esther did what Mordecai told her as she had done when under his care. (nasb) Est 2:20 Now Esther had not revealed her family and her people, just as Mordecai had charged her, for Esther obeyed the command of Mordecai as when she was brought up by him. (nkjv) Est 2:20 Und Est r hatte noch nicht angesagt ihre Freundschaft noch ihr Volk, wie ihr Mardochai geboten hatte; denn Est r tat nach den Worten Mardochais, gleich als da er ihr Vormund war.(dhs) Est 2:20 ἡ δὲ Εσθηρ οὐχ ὑπέδειξεν τὴν πατρίδα αὐτῆς οὕτως γὰρ ἐνετείλατο αὐτῇ Μαρδοχαῖος φοβεῖσθαι τὸν θεὸν καὶ ποιεῖν τὰ προστάγματα αὐτοῦ καθὼς ἦν μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ Εσθηρ οὐ μετήλλαξεν τὴν ἀγωγὴν αὐτῆς (lxx) ======= Esther 2:21 ============ Est 2:21 In those days, while Mordecai was sitting at the king's gate, Bigthan and Teresh, two of the king's officials from those who guarded the door, became angry and sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus. (nasb) Est 2:21 In those days, while Mordecai sat within the king's gate, two of the king's eunuchs, Bigthan and Teresh, doorkeepers, became furious and sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus. (nkjv) Est 2:21 Zur selben Zeit, da Mardochai im Tor des Königs saß, wurden zwei Kämmerer des Königs, Bigthan und Theres, die die Tür hüteten, zornig und trachteten ihre Hände an den König Ahasveros zu legen.(dhs) Est 2:21 καὶ ἐλυπήθησαν οἱ δύο εὐνοῦχοι τοῦ βασιλέως οἱ ἀρχισωματοφύλακες ὅτι προήχθη Μαρδοχαῖος καὶ ἐζήτουν ἀποκτεῖναι Ἀρταξέρξην τὸν βασιλέα (lxx) ======= Esther 2:22 ============ Est 2:22 But the plot became known to Mordecai and he told Queen Esther, and Esther informed the king in Mordecai's name. (nasb) Est 2:22 So the matter became known to Mordecai, who told Queen Esther, and Esther informed the king in Mordecai's name. (nkjv) Est 2:22 Das ward Mardochai kund, und er sagte es der Königin Est r, und Est r sagte es dem König in Mardochais Namen.(dhs) Est 2:22 καὶ ἐδηλώθη Μαρδοχαίῳ ὁ λόγος καὶ ἐσήμανεν Εσθηρ καὶ αὐτὴ ἐνεφάνισεν τῷ βασιλεῖ τὰ τῆς ἐπιβουλῆς (lxx) ======= Esther 2:23 ============ Est 2:23 Now when the plot was investigated and found to be so, they were both hanged on a gallows; and it was written in the Book of the Chronicles in the king's presence. (nasb) Est 2:23 And when an inquiry was made into the matter, it was confirmed, and both were hanged on a gallows; and it was written in the book of the chronicles in the presence of the king. (nkjv) Est 2:23 Und da man nachforschte, ward's gefunden, und sie wurden beide an Bäume gehängt.
