Today's Date: ======= Esther 5:1 ============ Est 5:1 Now it came about on the third day that Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king's palace in front of the king's rooms, and the king was sitting on his royal throne in the throne room, opposite the entrance to the palace. (nasb) Est 5:1 Now it happened on the third day that Esther put on her royal robes and stood in the inner court of the king's palace, across from the king's house, while the king sat on his royal throne in the royal house, facing the entrance of the house. (nkjv) Est 5:1 Und am dritten Tage zog sich Est r königlich an und trat in den inneren Hof am Hause des Königs gegenüber dem Hause des Königs. Und der König saß auf seinem königlichen Stuhl im königlichen Hause, gegenüber der Tür des Hauses.(dhs) Est 5:1 καὶ ἐγενήθη ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῇ τρίτῃ ὡς ἐπαύσατο προσευχομένη ἐξεδύσατο τὰ ἱμάτια τῆς θεραπείας καὶ περιεβάλετο τὴν δόξαν αὐτῆς ======= Esther 5:2 ============ Est 5:2 When the king saw Esther the queen standing in the court, she obtained favor in his sight; and the king extended to Esther the golden scepter which was in his hand. So Esther came near and touched the top of the scepter. (nasb) Est 5:2 So it was, when the king saw Queen Esther standing in the court, that she found favor in his sight, and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. Then Esther went near and touched the top of the scepter. (nkjv) Est 5:2 Und da der König sah Est r, die Königin, stehen im Hofe, fand sie Gnade vor seinen Augen. Und der König reckte das goldene Zepter in seiner Hand gegen Est r. Da trat Est r herzu und rührte die Spitze des Zepters an.(dhs) Est 5:2 καὶ ἄρας τὴν χρυσῆν ῥάβδον ἐπέθηκεν ἐπὶ τὸν τράχηλον αὐτῆς καὶ ἠσπάσατο αὐτὴν καὶ εἶπεν λάλησόν μοι ======= Esther 5:3 ============ Est 5:3 Then the king said to her, "What is troubling you, Queen Esther? And what is your request? Even to half of the kingdom it shall be given to you." (nasb) Est 5:3 And the king said to her, "What do you wish, Queen Esther? What is your request? It shall be given to you--up to half the kingdom!" (nkjv) Est 5:3 Da sprach der König zu ihr: Was ist dir, Est r, Königin? und was forderst du? Auch die Hälfte des Königreichs soll dir gegeben werden.(dhs) Est 5:3 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεύς τί θέλεις Εσθηρ καὶ τί σού ἐστιν τὸ ἀξίωμα ἕως τοῦ ἡμίσους τῆς βασιλείας μου καὶ ἔσται σοι (lxx) ======= Esther 5:4 ============ Est 5:4 Esther said, "If it pleases the king, may the king and Haman come this day to the banquet that I have prepared for him." (nasb) Est 5:4 So Esther answered, "If it pleases the king, let the king and Haman come today to the banquet that I have prepared for him." (nkjv) Est 5:4 Est r sprach: Gefällt es dem König, so komme der König und Haman heute zu dem Mahl, das ich zugerichtet habe.(dhs) Est 5:4 εἶπεν δὲ Εσθηρ ἡμέρα μου ἐπίσημος σήμερόν ἐστιν εἰ οὖν δοκεῖ τῷ βασιλεῖ ἐλθάτω καὶ αὐτὸς καὶ Αμαν εἰς τὴν δοχήν ἣν ποιήσω σήμερον (lxx) ======= Esther 5:5 ============ Est 5:5 Then the king said, "Bring Haman quickly that we may do as Esther desires." So the king and Haman came to the banquet which Esther had prepared. (nasb) Est 5:5 Then the king said, "Bring Haman quickly, that he may do as Esther has said." So the king and Haman went to the banquet that Esther had prepared. (nkjv) Est 5:5 Der König sprach: Eilet, daß Haman tue, was Est r gesagt hat! Da nun der König und Haman zu dem Mahl kamen, das Est r zugerichtet hatte,(dhs) Est 5:5 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεύς κατασπεύσατε Αμαν ὅπως ποιήσωμεν τὸν λόγον Εσθηρ καὶ παραγίνονται ἀμφότεροι εἰς τὴν δοχήν ἣν εἶπεν Εσθηρ (lxx) ======= Esther 5:6 ============ Est 5:6 As they drank their wine at the banquet, the king said to Esther, "What is your petition, for it shall be granted to you. And what is your request? Even to half of the kingdom it shall be done." (nasb) Est 5:6 At the banquet of wine the king said to Esther, "What is your petition? It shall be granted you. What is your request, up to half the kingdom? It shall be done!" (nkjv) Est 5:6 sprach der König zu Est r, da er Wein getrunken hatte: Was bittest du, Est r? Es soll dir gegeben werden. Und was forderst du? Auch die Hälfte des Königreichs, es soll geschehen.(dhs) Est 5:6 ἐν δὲ τῷ πότῳ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεὺς πρὸς Εσθηρ τί ἐστιν βασίλισσα Εσθηρ καὶ ἔσται σοι ὅσα ἀξιοῖς (lxx) ======= Esther 5:7 ============ Est 5:7 So Esther replied, "My petition and my request is: (nasb) Est 5:7 Then Esther answered and said, "My petition and request is this: (nkjv) Est 5:7 Da antwortete Est r und sprach: Meine Bitte und Begehr ist:(dhs) Est 5:7 καὶ εἶπεν τὸ αἴτημά μου καὶ τὸ ἀξίωμά μου (lxx) ======= Esther 5:8 ============ Est 5:8 if I have found favor in the sight of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and do what I request, may the king and Haman come to the banquet which I will prepare for them, and tomorrow I will do as the king says." (nasb) Est 5:8 If I have found favor in the sight of the king, and if it pleases the king to grant my petition and fulfill my request, then let the king and Haman come to the banquet which I will prepare for them, and tomorrow I will do as the king has said." (nkjv) Est 5:8 Habe ich Gnade gefunden vor dem König, und so es dem König gefällt mir zu geben eine Bitte und zu tun mein Begehren, so komme der König und Haman zu dem Mahl, das ich für sie zurichten will; so will ich morgen Tun, was der König gesagt hat.(dhs) Est 5:8 εἰ εὗρον χάριν ἐνώπιον τοῦ βασιλέως ἐλθάτω ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ Αμαν ἐπὶ τὴν αὔριον εἰς τὴν δοχήν ἣν ποιήσω αὐτοῖς καὶ αὔριον ποιήσω τὰ αὐτά (lxx) ======= Esther 5:9 ============ Est 5:9 Then Haman went out that day glad and pleased of heart; but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king's gate and that he did not stand up or tremble before him, Haman was filled with anger against Mordecai. (nasb) Est 5:9 So Haman went out that day joyful and with a glad heart; but when Haman saw Mordecai in the king's gate, and that he did not stand or tremble before him, he was filled with indignation against Mordecai. (nkjv) Est 5:9 Da ging Haman des Tages hinaus fröhlich und gutes Muts. Und da er sah Mardochai im Tor des Königs, daß er nicht aufstand noch sich vor ihm bewegte, ward er voll Zorns über Mardochai.(dhs) Est 5:9 καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ Αμαν ἀπὸ τοῦ βασιλέως ὑπερχαρὴς εὐφραινόμενος ἐν δὲ τῷ ἰδεῖν Αμαν Μαρδοχαῖον τὸν Ιουδαῖον ἐν τῇ αὐλῇ ἐθυμώθη σφόδρα (lxx) ======= Esther 5:10 ============ Est 5:10 Haman controlled himself, however, went to his house and sent for his friends and his wife Zeresh. (nasb) Est 5:10 Nevertheless Haman restrained himself and went home, and he sent and called for his friends and his wife Zeresh. (nkjv) Est 5:10 Aber er hielt an sich. Und da er heimkam, sandte er hin und ließ holen seine Freunde und sein Weib Seres(dhs) Est 5:10 καὶ εἰσελθὼν εἰς τὰ ἴδια ἐκάλεσεν τοὺς φίλους καὶ Ζωσαραν τὴν γυναῖκα αὐτοῦ (lxx) ======= Esther 5:11 ============ Est 5:11 Then Haman recounted to them the glory of his riches, and the number of his sons, and every instance where the king had magnified him and how he had promoted him above the princes and servants of the king. (nasb) Est 5:11 Then Haman told them of his great riches, the multitude of his children, everything in which the king had promoted him, and how he had advanced him above the officials and servants of the king. (nkjv) Est 5:11 und zählte ihnen auf die Herrlichkeit seines Reichtums und die Menge seiner Kinder und alles, wie ihn der König so groß gemacht hätte und daß er über die Fürsten und Knechte des Königs erhoben wäre.(dhs) Est 5:11 καὶ ὑπέδειξεν αὐτοῖς τὸν πλοῦτον αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν δόξαν ἣν ὁ βασιλεὺς αὐτῷ περιέθηκεν καὶ ὡς ἐποίησεν αὐτὸν πρωτεύειν καὶ ἡγεῖσθαι τῆς βασιλείας (lxx) ======= Esther 5:12 ============ Est 5:12 Haman also said, "Even Esther the queen let no one but me come with the king to the banquet which she had prepared; and tomorrow also I am invited by her with the king. (nasb) Est 5:12 Moreover Haman said, "Besides, Queen Esther invited no one but me to come in with the king to the banquet that she prepared; and tomorrow I am again invited by her, along with the king. (nkjv) Est 5:12 Auch sprach Haman: Und die Königin Est r hat niemand kommen lassen mit dem König zum Mahl, das sie zugerichtet hat, als mich; und ich bin morgen auch zu ihr geladen mit dem König.(dhs) Est 5:12 καὶ εἶπεν Αμαν οὐ κέκληκεν ἡ βασίλισσα μετὰ τοῦ βασιλέως οὐδένα εἰς τὴν δοχὴν ἀλλ᾽ ἢ ἐμέ καὶ εἰς τὴν αὔριον κέκλημαι (lxx) ======= Esther 5:13 ============ Est 5:13 Yet all of this does not satisfy me every time I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate." (nasb) Est 5:13 Yet all this avails me nothing, so long as I see Mordecai the Jew sitting at the king's gate." (nkjv) Est 5:13 Aber an dem allem habe ich keine Genüge, solange ich sehe den Juden Mardochai am Königstor sitzen.(dhs) Est 5:13 καὶ ταῦτά μοι οὐκ ἀρέσκει ὅταν ἴδω Μαρδοχαῖον τὸν Ιουδαῖον ἐν τῇ αὐλῇ (lxx) ======= Esther 5:14 ============ Est 5:14 Then Zeresh his wife and all his friends said to him, "Have a gallows fifty cubits high made and in the morning ask the king to have Mordecai hanged on it; then go joyfully with the king to the banquet." And the advice pleased Haman, so he had the gallows made. (nasb) Est 5:14 Then his wife Zeresh and all his friends said to him, "Let a gallows be made, fifty cubits high, and in the morning suggest to the king that Mordecai be hanged on it; then go merrily with the king to the banquet." And the thing pleased Haman; so he had the gallows made. (nkjv) Est 5:14 Da sprachen zu ihm sein Weib Seres und alle Freunde: Man mache einen Baum, fünfzig Ellen hoch, und morgen sage dem König, daß man Mardochai daran hänge; so kommst du mit dem König fröhlich zum Mahl. Das gefiel Haman wohl, und er ließ einen Baum zurichten.(dhs) Est 5:14 καὶ εἶπεν πρὸς αὐτὸν Ζωσαρα ἡ γυνὴ αὐτοῦ καὶ οἱ φίλοι κοπήτω σοι ξύλον πηχῶν πεντήκοντα ὄρθρου δὲ εἰπὸν τῷ βασιλεῖ καὶ κρεμασθήτω Μαρδοχαῖος ἐπὶ τοῦ ξύλου σὺ δὲ εἴσελθε εἰς τὴν δοχὴν σὺν τῷ βασιλεῖ καὶ εὐφραίνου καὶ ἤρεσεν τὸ ῥῆμα τῷ Αμαν καὶ ἡτοιμάσθη τὸ ξύλον (lxx) top of the page
