(nasb) Isa 21:1 The burden against the Wilderness of the Sea. As whirlwinds in the South pass through, So it comes from the desert, from a terrible land. (nkjv) Isa 21:1 Dies ist die Last über die Wüste am Meer: Wie ein Wetter vom Mittag kommt, das alles umkehrt, so kommt's aus der Wüste, aus einem schrecklichen Lande.(dhs) Isa 21:1 τὸ ὅραμα τῆς ἐρήμου ὡς καταιγὶς δι᾽ ἐρήμου διέλθοι ἐξ ἐρήμου ἐρχομένη ἐκ γῆς φοβερὸν (lxx) ======= Isaiah 21:2 ============ Isa 21:2 A harsh vision has been shown to me; The treacherous one still deals treacherously, and the destroyer still destroys. Go up, Elam, lay siege, Media; I have made an end of all the groaning she has caused. (nasb) Isa 21:2 A distressing vision is declared to me; The treacherous dealer deals treacherously, And the plunderer plunders. Go up, O Elam! Besiege, O Media! All its sighing I have made to cease. Ich will allem Seufzen über sie ein Ende machen.(dhs) Isa 21:2 τὸ ὅραμα καὶ σκληρὸν ἀνηγγέλη μοι ὁ ἀθετῶν ἀθετεῖ ὁ ἀνομῶν ἀνομεῖ ἐπ᾽ ἐμοὶ οἱ Αιλαμῖται καὶ οἱ πρέσβεις τῶν Περσῶν ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ ἔρχονται νῦν στενάξω καὶ παρακαλέσω ἐμαυτόν (lxx) ======= Isaiah 21:3 ============ Isa 21:3 For this reason my loins are full of anguish; Pains have seized me like the pains of a woman in labor. I am so bewildered I cannot hear, so terrified I cannot see. (nasb) Isa 21:3 Therefore my loins are filled with pain; Pangs have taken hold of me, like the pangs of a woman in labor. I was distressed when I heard it; I was dismayed when I saw it. (nkjv) Isa 21:3 Derhalben sind meine Lenden voll Schmerzen, und Angst hat mich ergriffen wie eine Gebärerin; ich krümme mich, wenn ich's höre, und erschrecke, wenn ich's ansehe.(dhs) Isa 21:3 διὰ τοῦτο ἐνεπλήσθη ἡ ὀσφύς μου ἐκλύσεως καὶ ὠδῖνες ἔλαβόν με ὡς τὴν τίκτουσαν ἠδίκησα τὸ μὴ ἀκοῦσαι ἐσπούδασα τὸ μὴ βλέπειν (lxx) ======= Isaiah 21:4 ============ Isa 21:4 My mind reels, horror overwhelms me; The twilight I longed for has been turned for me into trembling. (nasb) Isa 21:4 My heart wavered, fearfulness frightened me; The night for which I longed He turned into fear for me. (nkjv) Isa 21:4 Mein Herz zittert, Grauen hat mich betäubt; ich habe in der lieben Nacht keine Ruhe davor.(dhs) Isa 21:4 ἡ καρδία μου πλανᾶται καὶ ἡ ἀνομία με βαπτίζει ἡ ψυχή μου ἐφέστηκεν εἰς φόβον (lxx) ======= Isaiah 21:5 ============ Isa 21:5 They set the table, they spread out the cloth, they eat, they drink; "Rise up, captains, oil the shields," (nasb) Isa 21:5 Prepare the table, Set a watchman in the tower, Eat and drink. Arise, you princes, Anoint the shield! (nkjv) Isa 21:5 Ja, richte einen Tisch zu, laß wachen auf der Warte, esset, trinket. "Macht euch auf, ihr Fürsten, schmiert den Schild!"(dhs) Isa 21:5 ἑτοίμασον τὴν τράπεζαν πίετε φάγετε ἀναστάντες οἱ ἄρχοντες ἑτοιμάσατε θυρεούς (lxx) ======= Isaiah 21:6 ============ Isa 21:6 For thus the Lord says to me, "Go, station the lookout, let him report what he sees. (nasb) Isa 21:6 For thus has the Lord said to me: "Go, set a watchman, Let him declare what he sees." (nkjv) Isa 21:6 Denn der HERR sagte zu mir also: Gehe hin, stelle einen Wächter, der da schaue und ansage.(dhs) Isa 21:6 ὅτι οὕτως εἶπεν κύριος πρός με βαδίσας σεαυτῷ στῆσον σκοπὸν καὶ ὃ ἂν ἴδῃς ἀνάγγειλον (lxx) ======= Isaiah 21:7 ============ Isa 21:7 "When he sees riders, horsemen in pairs, A train of donkeys, a train of camels, Let him pay close attention, very close attention." (nasb) Isa 21:7 And he saw a chariot with a pair of horsemen, A chariot of donkeys, and a chariot of camels, And he listened earnestly with great care. (nkjv) Isa 21:7 Er sieht aber Reiter reiten auf Rossen, Eseln und Kamelen und hat mit großem Fleiß Achtung darauf.(dhs) Isa 21:7 καὶ εἶδον ἀναβάτας ἱππεῖς δύο ἀναβάτην ὄνου καὶ ἀναβάτην καμήλου ἀκρόασαι ἀκρόασιν πολλὴν (lxx) ======= Isaiah 21:8 ============ Isa 21:8 Then the lookout called, "O Lord, I stand continually by day on the watchtower, And I am stationed every night at my guard post. (nasb) Isa 21:8 Then he cried, "A lion, my Lord! I stand continually on the watchtower in the daytime; I have sat at my post every night. (nkjv) Isa 21:8 Und wie ein Löwe ruft er: Herr, ich stehe auf der Warte immerdar des Tages und stelle mich auf meine Hut alle Nacht.(dhs) Isa 21:8 καὶ κάλεσον Ουριαν εἰς τὴν σκοπιὰν κυρίου καὶ εἶπεν ἔστην διὰ παντὸς ἡμέρας καὶ ἐπὶ τῆς παρεμβολῆς ἔστην ὅλην τὴν νύκτα (lxx) ======= Isaiah 21:9 ============ Isa 21:9 "Now behold, here comes a troop of riders, horsemen in pairs." And one said, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon; And all the images of her gods are shattered on the ground." (nasb) Isa 21:9 And look, here comes a chariot of men with a pair of horsemen!" Then he answered and said, "Babylon is fallen, is fallen! And all the carved images of her gods He has broken to the ground." That which I have heard from the Lord of hosts, The God of Israel, I have declared to you. Hüter ist die Nacht schier hin?(dhs) Isa 21:11 τὸ ὅραμα τῆς Ιδουμαίας πρὸς ἐμὲ καλεῖ παρὰ τοῦ Σηιρ φυλάσσετε ἐπάλξεις (lxx) ======= Isaiah 21:12 ============ Isa 21:12 The watchman says, "Morning comes but also night. If you would inquire, inquire; Come back again." (nasb) Isa 21:12 The watchman said, "The morning comes, and also the night. If you will inquire, inquire; Return! Come back!" (nkjv) Isa 21:12 Der Hüter aber sprach: Wenn der Morgen schon kommt, so wird es doch Nacht sein. In the thickets of Arabia you must spend the night, O caravans of Dedanites. (nasb) Isa 21:13 The burden against Arabia. In the forest in Arabia you will lodge, O you traveling companies of Dedanites. (nasb) Isa 21:17 and the remainder of the number of archers, the mighty men of the people of Kedar, will be diminished; for the Lord God of Israel has spoken it."
