(nasb) Jer 18:2 "Arise and go down to the potter's house, and there I will cause you to hear My words." (nkjv) Jer 18:2 Mache dich auf und gehe hinab in des Töpfers Haus; daselbst will ich dich meine Worte hören lassen.(dhs) Jer 18:2 ἀνάστηθι καὶ κατάβηθι εἰς οἶκον τοῦ κεραμέως καὶ ἐκεῖ ἀκούσῃ τοὺς λόγους μου (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:3 ============ Jer 18:3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and there he was, making something on the wheel. (nasb) Jer 18:3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and there he was, making something at the wheel. (nkjv) Jer 18:3 Und ich ging hinab in des Töpfers Haus, und siehe, er arbeitete eben auf der Scheibe.(dhs) Jer 18:3 καὶ κατέβην εἰς τὸν οἶκον τοῦ κεραμέως καὶ ἰδοὺ αὐτὸς ἐποίει ἔργον ἐπὶ τῶν λίθων (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:4 ============ Jer 18:4 But the vessel that he was making of clay was spoiled in the hand of the potter; so he remade it into another vessel, as it pleased the potter to make. (nasb) Jer 18:4 And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter; so he made it again into another vessel, as it seemed good to the potter to make. (nkjv) Jer 18:4 Und der Topf, den er aus dem Ton machte, mißriet ihm unter den Händen. Da machte er einen andern Topf daraus, wie es ihm gefiel.(dhs) Jer 18:4 καὶ διέπεσεν τὸ ἀγγεῖον ὃ αὐτὸς ἐποίει ἐν ταῖς χερσὶν αὐτοῦ καὶ πάλιν αὐτὸς ἐποίησεν αὐτὸ ἀγγεῖον ἕτερον καθὼς ἤρεσεν ἐνώπιον αὐτοῦ τοῦ ποιῆσαι (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:5 ============ Jer 18:5 Then the word of the Lord came to me saying, (nasb) Jer 18:5 Then the word of the Lord came to me, saying: (nkjv) Jer 18:5 Da geschah des HERRN Wort zu mir und sprach:(dhs) Jer 18:5 καὶ ἐγένετο λόγος κυρίου πρός με λέγων (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:6 ============ Jer 18:6 "Can I not, O house of Israel, deal with you as this potter does?" declares the Lord." Behold, like the clay in the potter's hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel. (nasb) Jer 18:6 "O house of Israel, can I not do with you as this potter?" says the Lord. "Look, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are you in My hand, O house of Israel! (nkjv) Jer 18:6 Kann ich nicht also mit euch umgehen, ihr vom Hause Israel, wie dieser Töpfer? spricht der HERR. Siehe, wie der Ton ist in des Töpfers Hand, also seid auch ihr vom Hause Israel in meiner Hand.(dhs) Jer 18:6 εἰ καθὼς ὁ κεραμεὺς οὗτος οὐ δυνήσομαι τοῦ ποιῆσαι ὑμᾶς οἶκος Ισραηλ ἰδοὺ ὡς ὁ πηλὸς τοῦ κεραμέως ὑμεῖς ἐστε ἐν ταῖς χερσίν μου (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:7 ============ Jer 18:7 At one moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to uproot, to pull down, or to destroy it; (nasb) Jer 18:7 The instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to pluck up, to pull down, and to destroy it, (nkjv) Jer 18:7 Plötzlich rede ich wider ein Volk und Königreich, daß ich es ausrotten, zerbrechen und verderben wolle.(dhs) Jer 18:7 πέρας λαλήσω ἐπὶ ἔθνος ἢ ἐπὶ βασιλείαν τοῦ ἐξᾶραι αὐτοὺς καὶ τοῦ ἀπολλύειν (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:8 ============ Jer 18:8 if that nation against which I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent concerning the calamity I planned to bring on it. (nasb) Jer 18:8 if that nation against whom I have spoken turns from its evil, I will relent of the disaster that I thought to bring upon it. (nkjv) Jer 18:8 Wo sich's aber bekehrt von seiner Bosheit, dawider ich rede, so soll mich auch reuen das Unglück, das ich ihm gedachte zu tun.(dhs) Jer 18:8 καὶ ἐπιστραφῇ τὸ ἔθνος ἐκεῖνο ἀπὸ πάντων τῶν κακῶν αὐτῶν καὶ μετανοήσω περὶ τῶν κακῶν ὧν ἐλογισάμην τοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτοῖς (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:9 ============ Jer 18:9 Or at another moment I might speak concerning a nation or concerning a kingdom to build up or to plant it; (nasb) Jer 18:9 And the instant I speak concerning a nation and concerning a kingdom, to build and to plant it, (nkjv) Jer 18:9 Und plötzlich rede ich von einem Volk und Königreich, daß ich's bauen und pflanzen wolle.(dhs) Jer 18:9 καὶ πέρας λαλήσω ἐπὶ ἔθνος καὶ ἐπὶ βασιλείαν τοῦ ἀνοικοδομεῖσθαι καὶ τοῦ καταφυτεύεσθαι (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:10 ============ Jer 18:10 if it does evil in My sight by not obeying My voice, then I will think better of the good with which I had promised to bless it. (nasb) Jer 18:10 if it does evil in My sight so that it does not obey My voice, then I will relent concerning the good with which I said I would benefit it. (nkjv) Jer 18:10 So es aber Böses tut vor meinen Augen, daß es meiner Stimme nicht gehorcht, so soll mich auch reuen das Gute, das ich ihm verheißen hatte zu tun.(dhs) Jer 18:10 καὶ ποιήσωσιν τὰ πονηρὰ ἐναντίον μου τοῦ μὴ ἀκούειν τῆς φωνῆς μου καὶ μετανοήσω περὶ τῶν ἀγαθῶν ὧν ἐλάλησα τοῦ ποιῆσαι αὐτοῖς (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:11 ============ Jer 18:11 So now then, speak to the men of Judah and against the inhabitants of Jerusalem saying, 'Thus says the Lord, "Behold, I am fashioning calamity against you and devising a plan against you. Oh turn back, each of you from his evil way, and reform your ways and your deeds."' (nasb) Jer 18:11 "Now therefore, speak to the men of Judah and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying, 'Thus says the Lord: "Behold, I am fashioning a disaster and devising a plan against you. Return now every one from his evil way, and make your ways and your doings good." ' " (nkjv) Jer 18:11 So sprich nun zu denen in Juda und zu den Bürgern zu Jerusalem: So spricht der HERR: Siehe, ich bereite euch ein Unglück zu und habe Gedanken wider euch: darum kehre sich ein jeglicher von seinem bösen Wesen und bessert euer Wesen und Tun.(dhs) Jer 18:11 καὶ νῦν εἰπὸν πρὸς ἄνδρας Ιουδα καὶ πρὸς τοὺς κατοικοῦντας Ιερουσαλημ ἰδοὺ ἐγὼ πλάσσω ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς κακὰ καὶ λογίζομαι ἐφ᾽ ὑμᾶς λογισμόν ἀποστραφήτω δὴ ἕκαστος ἀπὸ ὁδοῦ αὐτοῦ τῆς πονηρᾶς καὶ καλλίονα ποιήσετε τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα ὑμῶν (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:12 ============ Jer 18:12 But they will say, 'It's hopeless! For we are going to follow our own plans, and each of us will act according to the stubbornness of his evil heart.' (nasb) Jer 18:12 And they said, "That is hopeless! So we will walk according to our own plans, and we will every one obey the dictates of his evil heart." (nkjv) Jer 18:12 Aber sie sprachen: Daraus wird nichts; wir wollen nach unsern Gedanken wandeln und ein jeglicher tun nach Gedünken seines bösen Herzens.(dhs) Jer 18:12 καὶ εἶπαν ἀνδριούμεθα ὅτι ὀπίσω τῶν ἀποστροφῶν ἡμῶν πορευσόμεθα καὶ ἕκαστος τὰ ἀρεστὰ τῆς καρδίας αὐτοῦ τῆς πονηρᾶς ποιήσομεν (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:13 ============ Jer 18:13 "Therefore thus says the Lord, 'Ask now among the nations, Who ever heard the like of this? The virgin of Israel Has done a most appalling thing. (nasb) Jer 18:13 Therefore thus says the Lord: "Ask now among the Gentiles, Who has heard such things? The virgin of Israel has done a very horrible thing. (nkjv) Jer 18:13 Darum spricht der HERR: Fragt doch unter den Heiden. Wer hat je desgleichen gehört? Daß die Jungfrau Israel so gar greuliche Dinge tut!(dhs) Jer 18:13 διὰ τοῦτο τάδε λέγει κύριος ἐρωτήσατε δὴ ἐν ἔθνεσιν τίς ἤκουσεν τοιαῦτα φρικτά ἃ ἐποίησεν σφόδρα παρθένος Ισραηλ (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:14 ============ Jer 18:14 'Does the snow of Lebanon forsake the rock of the open country? Or is the cold flowing water from a foreign land ever snatched away? (nasb) Jer 18:14 Will a man leave the snow water of Lebanon, Which comes from the rock of the field? Will the cold flowing waters be forsaken for strange waters? (nkjv) Jer 18:14 Bleibt doch der Schnee länger auf den Steinen im Felde, wenn's vom Libanon herab schneit, und das Regenwasser verschießt nicht so bald, wie mein Volk vergißt.(dhs) Jer 18:14 μὴ ἐκλείψουσιν ἀπὸ πέτρας μαστοὶ ἢ χιὼν ἀπὸ τοῦ Λιβάνου μὴ ἐκκλινεῖ ὕδωρ βιαίως ἀνέμῳ φερόμενον (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:15 ============ Jer 18:15 'For My people have forgotten Me, They burn incense to worthless gods And they have stumbled from their ways, From the ancient paths, To walk in bypaths, Not on a highway, (nasb) Jer 18:15 "Because My people have forgotten Me, They have burned incense to worthless idols. And they have caused themselves to stumble in their ways, From the ancient paths, To walk in pathways and not on a highway, (nkjv) Jer 18:15 Sie räuchern den Göttern und richten Ärgernis an auf ihren Wegen für und für und gehen auf ungebahnten Straßen,(dhs) Jer 18:15 ὅτι ἐπελάθοντό μου ὁ λαός μου εἰς κενὸν ἐθυμίασαν καὶ ἀσθενήσουσιν ἐν ταῖς ὁδοῖς αὐτῶν σχοίνους αἰωνίους τοῦ ἐπιβῆναι τρίβους οὐκ ἔχοντας ὁδὸν εἰς πορείαν (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:16 ============ Jer 18:16 To make their land a desolation, An object of perpetual hissing; Everyone who passes by it will be astonished And shake his head. (nkjv) Jer 18:16 auf daß ihr Land zur Wüste werde, ihnen zur ewigen Schande, daß, wer vorübergeht, sich verwundere und den Kopf schüttle.(dhs) Jer 18:16 τοῦ τάξαι τὴν γῆν αὐτῶν εἰς ἀφανισμὸν καὶ σύριγμα αἰώνιον πάντες οἱ διαπορευόμενοι δι᾽ αὐτῆς ἐκστήσονται καὶ κινήσουσιν τὴν κεφαλὴν αὐτῶν (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:17 ============ Jer 18:17 'Like an east wind I will scatter them Before the enemy; I will show them My back and not My face In the day of their calamity.'" Surely the law is not going to be lost to the priest, nor counsel to the sage, nor the divine word to the prophet! Come on and let us strike at him with our tongue, and let us give no heed to any of his words." (nasb) Jer 18:18 Then they said, "Come and let us devise plans against Jeremiah; for the law shall not perish from the priest, nor counsel from the wise, nor the word from the prophet. Come and let us attack him with the tongue, and let us not give heed to any of his words." (nkjv) Jer 18:18 Aber sie sprechen: Kommt und laßt uns wider Jeremia ratschlagen; denn die Priester können nicht irre gehen im Gesetz, und die Weisen können nicht fehlen mit Raten, und die Propheten können nicht unrecht lehren! Kommt her, laßt uns ihn mit der Zunge totschlagen und nichts geben auf alle seine Rede!(dhs) Jer 18:18 καὶ εἶπαν δεῦτε λογισώμεθα ἐπὶ Ιερεμιαν λογισμόν ὅτι οὐκ ἀπολεῖται νόμος ἀπὸ ἱερέως καὶ βουλὴ ἀπὸ συνετοῦ καὶ λόγος ἀπὸ προφήτου δεῦτε καὶ πατάξωμεν αὐτὸν ἐν γλώσσῃ καὶ ἀκουσόμεθα πάντας τοὺς λόγους αὐτοῦ (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:19 ============ Jer 18:19 Do give heed to me, O Lord, And listen to what my opponents are saying! (nasb) Jer 18:19 Give heed to me, O Lord, And listen to the voice of those who contend with me! (nkjv) Jer 18:19 HERR, habe acht auf mich und höre die Stimme meiner Widersacher!(dhs) Jer 18:19 εἰσάκουσόν μου κύριε καὶ εἰσάκουσον τῆς φωνῆς τοῦ δικαιώματός μου (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:20 ============ Jer 18:20 Should good be repaid with evil? Let their men also be smitten to death, Their young men struck down by the sword in battle. (nasb) Jer 18:22 Let a cry be heard from their houses, When You bring a troop suddenly upon them; For they have dug a pit to take me, And hidden snares for my feet. (nkjv) Jer 18:22 daß ein Geschrei aus ihren Häusern gehört werde, wie du plötzlich habest Kriegsvolk über sie kommen lassen. Denn sie haben eine Grube gegraben, mich zu fangen, und meinen Füßen Stricke gelegt.(dhs) Jer 18:22 γενηθήτω κραυγὴ ἐν ταῖς οἰκίαις αὐτῶν ἐπάξεις ἐπ᾽ αὐτοὺς λῃστὰς ἄφνω ὅτι ἐνεχείρησαν λόγον εἰς σύλλημψίν μου καὶ παγίδας ἔκρυψαν ἐπ᾽ ἐμέ (lxx) ======= Jeremiah 18:23 ============ Jer 18:23 Yet You, O Lord, know All their deadly designs against me; Do not forgive their iniquity Or blot out their sin from Your sight. But may they be overthrown before You; Deal with them in the time of Your anger! (nasb) Jer 18:23 Yet, Lord, You know all their counsel Which is against me, to slay me. Provide no atonement for their iniquity, Nor blot out their sin from Your sight; But let them be overthrown before You. Deal thus with them In the time of Your anger. (nkjv) Jer 18:23 Und weil du, HERR, weißt alle ihre Anschläge wider mich, daß sie mich töten wollen, so vergib ihnen ihre Missetat nicht und laß ihre Sünde vor dir nicht ausgetilgt werden.
