(nasb) Jer 36:2 Take thee a roll of a book, and write therein all the words that I have spoken unto thee against Israel, and against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spake unto thee, from the days of Josiah, even unto this day.(kjv) Jer 36:2 "Take a scroll of a book and write on it all the words that I have spoken to you against Israel, against Judah, and against all the nations, from the day I spoke to you, from the days of Josiah even to this day.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:3 ============ Jer 36:3 Perhaps the house of Judah will hear all the calamity which I plan to bring on them, in order that every man will turn from his evil way; then I will forgive their iniquity and their sin."(nasb) Jer 36:3 It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the evil which I purpose to do unto them; that they may return every man from his evil way; that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin.(kjv) Jer 36:3 It may be that the house of Judah will hear all the adversities which I purpose to bring upon them, that everyone may turn from his evil way, that I may forgive their iniquity and their sin."(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:4 ============ Jer 36:4 Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah, and Baruch wrote on a scroll at the dictation of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord which He had spoken to him. And also you shall read them to all the people of Judah who come from their cities. (nasb) Jer 36:6 Therefore go thou, and read in the roll, which thou hast written from my mouth, the words of the LORD in the ears of the people in the LORD's house upon the fasting day: and also thou shalt read them in the ears of all Judah that come out of their cities.(kjv) Jer 36:6 You go, therefore, and read from the scroll which you have written at my instruction, the words of the Lord, in the hearing of the people in the Lord's house on the day of fasting. And Jehudi read it to the king as well as to all the officials who stood beside the king. (nasb) Jer 36:22 Now the king sat in the winterhouse in the ninth month: and there was a fire on the hearth burning before him.(kjv) Jer 36:22 Now the king was sitting in the winter house in the ninth month, with a fire burning on the hearth before him.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:23 ============ Jer 36:23 When Jehudi had read three or four columns, the king cut it with a scribe's knife and threw it into the fire that was in the brazier, until all the scroll was consumed in the fire that was in the brazier. (nasb) Jer 36:23 And it came to pass, that when Jehudi had read three or four leaves, he cut it with the penknife, and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the roll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.(kjv) Jer 36:23 And it happened, when Jehudi had read three or four columns, that the king cut it with the scribe's knife and cast it into the fire that was on the hearth, until all the scroll was consumed in the fire that was on the hearth.(nkjv) ======= Jeremiah 36:24 ============ Jer 36:24 Yet the king and all his servants who heard all these words were not afraid, nor did they rend their garments.
