(nasb) Zch 11:1 Open thy doors, O Lebanon, that the fire may devour thy cedars.(kjv) Zec 11:1 Open your doors, O Lebanon, That fire may devour your cedars.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:2 ============ Zec 11:2 Wail, O cypress, for the cedar has fallen, Because the glorious trees have been destroyed; Wail, O oaks of Bashan, For the impenetrable forest has come down. (nasb) Zch 11:2 Howl, fir tree; for the cedar is fallen; because the mighty are spoiled: howl, O ye oaks of Bashan; for the forest of the vintage is come down.(kjv) Zec 11:2 Wail, O cypress, for the cedar has fallen, Because the mighty trees are ruined. (nasb) Zch 11:3 There is a voice of the howling of the shepherds; for their glory is spoiled: a voice of the roaring of young lions; for the pride of Jordan is spoiled.(kjv) Zec 11:3 There is the sound of wailing shepherds! For their glory is in ruins. There is the sound of roaring lions! For the pride of the Jordan is in ruins.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:4 ============ Zec 11:4 Thus says the Lord my God, "Pasture the flock doomed to slaughter. (nasb) Zch 11:4 Thus saith the LORD my God; Feed the flock of the slaughter;(kjv) Zec 11:4 Thus says the Lord my God, "Feed the flock for slaughter,(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:5 ============ Zec 11:5 Those who buy them slay them and go unpunished, and each of those who sell them says, 'Blessed be the Lord, for I have become rich!' And their own shepherds have no pity on them. (nasb) Zch 11:5 Whose possessors slay them, and hold themselves not guilty: and they that sell them say, Blessed be the LORD; for I am rich: and their own shepherds pity them not.(kjv) Zec 11:5 whose owners slaughter them and feel no guilt; those who sell them say, 'Blessed be the Lord, for I am rich'; and their shepherds do not pity them.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:6 ============ Zec 11:6 For I will no longer have pity on the inhabitants of the land," declares the Lord; "but behold, I will cause the men to fall, each into another's power and into the power of his king; and they will strike the land, and I will not deliver them from their power."(nasb) Zch 11:6 For I will no more pity the inhabitants of the land, saith the LORD: but, lo, I will deliver the men every one into his neighbour's hand, and into the hand of his king: and they shall smite the land, and out of their hand I will not deliver them.(kjv) Zec 11:6 For I will no longer pity the inhabitants of the land," says the Lord. "But indeed I will give everyone into his neighbor's hand and into the hand of his king. They shall attack the land, and I will not deliver them from their hand."(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:7 ============ Zec 11:7 So I pastured the flock doomed to slaughter, hence the afflicted of the flock. And I took for myself two staffs: the one I called Favor and the other I called Union; so I pastured the flock. (nasb) Zch 11:7 And I will feed the flock of slaughter, even you, O poor of the flock. And I took unto me two staves; the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bands; and I fed the flock.(kjv) Zec 11:7 So I fed the flock for slaughter, in particular the poor of the flock. I took for myself two staffs: the one I called Beauty, and the other I called Bonds; and I fed the flock.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:8 ============ Zec 11:8 Then I annihilated the three shepherds in one month, for my soul was impatient with them, and their soul also was weary of me. (nasb) Zch 11:8 Three shepherds also I cut off in one month; and my soul lothed them, and their soul also abhorred me.(kjv) Zec 11:8 I dismissed the three shepherds in one month. My soul loathed them, and their soul also abhorred me.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:9 ============ Zec 11:9 Then I said, "I will not pasture you. What is to die, let it die, and what is to be annihilated, let it be annihilated; and let those who are left eat one another's flesh."(nasb) Zch 11:9 Then said I, I will not feed you: that that dieth, let it die; and that that is to be cut off, let it be cut off; and let the rest eat every one the flesh of another.(kjv) Zec 11:9 Then I said, "I will not feed you. Let what is dying die, and what is perishing perish. Let those that are left eat each other's flesh."(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:10 ============ Zec 11:10 I took my staff Favor and cut it in pieces, to break my covenant which I had made with all the peoples. (nasb) Zch 11:10 And I took my staff, even Beauty, and cut it asunder, that I might break my covenant which I had made with all the people.(kjv) Zec 11:10 And I took my staff, Beauty, and cut it in two, that I might break the covenant which I had made with all the peoples.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:11 ============ Zec 11:11 So it was broken on that day, and thus the afflicted of the flock who were watching me realized that it was the word of the Lord. (nasb) Zch 11:11 And it was broken in that day: and so the poor of the flock that waited upon me knew that it was the word of the LORD.(kjv) Zec 11:11 So it was broken on that day. Thus the poor of the flock, who were watching me, knew that it was the word of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:12 ============ Zec 11:12 I said to them, "If it is good in your sight, give me my wages; but if not, never mind!" So they weighed out thirty shekels of silver as my wages. (nasb) Zch 11:12 And I said unto them, If ye think good, give me my price; and if not, forbear. So they weighed for my price thirty pieces of silver.(kjv) Zec 11:12 Then I said to them, "If it is agreeable to you, give me my wages; and if not, refrain." So they weighed out for my wages thirty pieces of silver.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:13 ============ Zec 11:13 Then the Lord said to me, "Throw it to the potter, that magnificent price at which I was valued by them." So I took the thirty shekels of silver and threw them to the potter in the house of the Lord. (nasb) Zch 11:13 And the LORD said unto me, Cast it unto the potter: a goodly price that I was prised at of them. And I took the thirty pieces of silver, and cast them to the potter in the house of the LORD.(kjv) Zec 11:13 And the Lord said to me, "Throw it to the potter"--that princely price they set on me. So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them into the house of the Lord for the potter.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:14 ============ Zec 11:14 Then I cut in pieces my second staff Union, to break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel. (nasb) Zch 11:14 Then I cut asunder mine other staff, even Bands, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.(kjv) Zec 11:14 Then I cut in two my other staff, Bonds, that I might break the brotherhood between Judah and Israel.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:15 ============ Zec 11:15 The Lord said to me, "Take again for yourself the equipment of a foolish shepherd. (nasb) Zch 11:15 And the LORD said unto me, Take unto thee yet the instruments of a foolish shepherd.(kjv) Zec 11:15 And the Lord said to me, "Next, take for yourself the implements of a foolish shepherd.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:16 ============ Zec 11:16 For behold, I am going to raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for the perishing, seek the scattered, heal the broken, or sustain the one standing, but will devour the flesh of the fat sheep and tear off their hoofs. (nasb) Zch 11:16 For, lo, I will raise up a shepherd in the land, which shall not visit those that be cut off, neither shall seek the young one, nor heal that that is broken, nor feed that that standeth still: but he shall eat the flesh of the fat, and tear their claws in pieces.(kjv) Zec 11:16 "For indeed I will raise up a shepherd in the land who will not care for those who are cut off, nor seek the young, nor heal those that are broken, nor feed those that still stand. But he will eat the flesh of the fat and tear their hooves in pieces.(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 11:17 ============ Zec 11:17 "Woe to the worthless shepherd Who leaves the flock! A sword will be on his arm And on his right eye! His arm will be totally withered And his right eye will be blind." (nasb) Zch 11:17 Woe to the idol shepherd that leaveth the flock! the sword shall be upon his arm, and upon his right eye: his arm shall be clean dried up, and his right eye shall be utterly darkened.(kjv) Zec 11:17 "Woe to the worthless shepherd, Who leaves the flock! A sword shall be against his arm And against his right eye; His arm shall completely wither, And his right eye shall be totally blinded."(nkjv) ======= Zechariah 12:1 ============ Zec 12:1 The burden of the word of the Lord concerning Israel. Thus declares the Lord who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit of man within him, (nasb) Zch 12:1 The burden of the word of the LORD for Israel, saith the LORD, which stretcheth forth the heavens, and layeth the foundation of the earth, and formeth the spirit of man within him.(kjv) Zec 12:1 The burden of the word of the Lord against Israel.
