The words of Job are ended.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:1 ============ Job 32:1 Then these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.(nasb-1995) Job 32:1 ἡσύχασαν δὲ καὶ οἱ τρεῖς φίλοι αὐτοῦ ἔτι ἀντειπεῖν Ιωβ ἦν γὰρ Ιωβ δίκαιος ἐναντίον αὐτῶν (lxx) Job 32:1 Omiserunt autem tres viri isti respondere Job, eo quod justus sibi videretur.(Vulgate) Job 32:1 Da hörten die drei Männer auf, Hiob zu antworten, weil er sich für gerecht hielt.(dhs) 1 ׃32 וַֽיִּשְׁבְּת֡וּ שְׁלֹ֤שֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁ֣ים הָ֭אֵלֶּה מֵעֲנ֣וֹת אֶת־אִיּ֑וֹב כִּ֤י ה֖וּא צַדִּ֣יק בְּעֵינָֽיו׃ פ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:1 So these three men ceased answering Job, because he was righteous in his own eyes.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:2 ============ Job 32:2 But the anger of Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite, of the family of Ram burned; his wrath was aroused because he justified himself rather than God.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:3 ============ Job 32:3 And his anger burned against his three friends because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.(nasb-1995) Job 32:3 καὶ κατὰ τῶν τριῶν δὲ φίλων ὠργίσθη σφόδρα διότι οὐκ ἠδυνήθησαν ἀποκριθῆναι ἀντίθετα Ιωβ καὶ ἔθεντο αὐτὸν εἶναι ἀσεβῆ (lxx) Job 32:3 Porro adversum amicos ejus indignatus est, eo quod non invenissent responsionem rationabilem, sed tantummodo condemnassent Job.(Vulgate) Job 32:3 Auch ward er zornig über seine drei Freunde, daß sie keine Antwort fanden und doch Hiob verdammten.(dhs) 3 ׃32 וּבִשְׁלֹ֣שֶׁת רֵעָיו֮ חָרָ֢ה אַ֫פּ֥וֹ עַ֤ל אֲשֶׁ֣ר לֹא־מָצְא֣וּ מַעֲנֶ֑ה וַ֝יַּרְשִׁ֗יעוּ אֶת־אִיּֽוֹב׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:3 Also against his three friends his wrath was aroused, because they had found no answer, and yet had condemned Job.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:4 ============ Job 32:4 Now Elihu had waited to speak to Job because they were years older than he.(nasb-1995) Job 32:4 Ελιους δὲ ὑπέμεινεν δοῦναι ἀπόκρισιν Ιωβ ὅτι πρεσβύτεροι αὐτοῦ εἰσιν ἡμέραις (lxx) Job 32:4 Igitur Eliu expectavit Job loquentem, eo quod seniores essent qui loquebantur.(Vulgate) Job 32:4 Denn Elihu hatte geharrt, bis daß sie mit Hiob geredet hatten, weil sie älter waren als er.(dhs) 4 ׃32 וֶֽאֱלִיה֗וּ חִכָּ֣ה אֶת־אִ֭יּוֹב בִּדְבָרִ֑ים כִּ֤י זְֽקֵנִים־הֵ֖מָּה מִמֶּ֣נּוּ לְיָמִֽים׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:4 Now because they were years older than he, Elihu had waited to speak to Job.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:5 ============ Job 32:5 And when Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of the three men his anger burned.(nasb-1995) Job 32:5 καὶ εἶδεν Ελιους ὅτι οὐκ ἔστιν ἀπόκρισις ἐν στόματι τῶν τριῶν ἀνδρῶν καὶ ἐθυμώθη ὀργὴ αὐτοῦ (lxx) Job 32:5 Cum autem vidisset quod tres respondere non potuissent, iratus est vehementer.(Vulgate) Job 32:5 Darum, da er sah, daß keine Antwort war im Munde der drei Männer, ward er zornig.(dhs) 5 ׃32 וַיַּ֤רְא אֱלִיה֗וּא כִּ֘י אֵ֤ין מַעֲנֶ֗ה בְּ֭פִי שְׁלֹ֥שֶׁת הָאֲנָשִׁ֗ים וַיִּ֥חַר אַפּֽוֹ׃ פ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:5 When Elihu saw that there was no answer in the mouth of these three men, his wrath was aroused.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:6 ============ Job 32:6 So Elihu the son of Barachel the Buzite spoke out and said, "I am young in years and you are old; Therefore I was shy and afraid to tell you what I think.(nasb-1995) Job 32:6 ὑπολαβὼν δὲ Ελιους ὁ τοῦ Βαραχιηλ ὁ Βουζίτης εἶπεν νεώτερος μέν εἰμι τῷ χρόνῳ ὑμεῖς δέ ἐστε πρεσβύτεροι διὸ ἡσύχασα φοβηθεὶς τοῦ ὑμῖν ἀναγγεῖλαι τὴν ἐμαυτοῦ ἐπιστήμην (lxx) Job 32:6 Respondensque Eliu filius Barachel Buzites, dixit: [Junior sum tempore, vos autem antiquiores: idcirco, demisso capite, veritus sum vobis indicare meam sententiam.(Vulgate) Job 32:6 Und so antwortete Elihu, der Sohn Baracheels von Bus, und sprach: Ich bin jung, ihr aber seid alt; Therefore I was afraid, And dared not declare my opinion to you.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:7 ============ Job 32:7 "I thought age should speak, And increased years should teach wisdom.(nasb-1995) Job 32:7 εἶπα δὲ ὅτι ὁ χρόνος ἐστὶν ὁ λαλῶν ἐν πολλοῖς δὲ ἔτεσιν οἴδασιν σοφίαν (lxx) Job 32:7 Sperabam enim quod ætas prolixior loqueretur, et annorum multitudo doceret sapientiam.(Vulgate) Job 32:7 Ich dachte: Laß das Alter reden, und die Menge der Jahre laß Weisheit beweisen.(dhs) 7 ׃32 אָ֭מַרְתִּי יָמִ֣ים יְדַבֵּ֑רוּ וְרֹ֥ב שָׁ֝נִ֗ים יֹדִ֥יעוּ חָכְמָֽה׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:7 I said, 'Age should speak, And multitude of years should teach wisdom.'(nkjv) ======= Job 32:8 ============ Job 32:8 "But it is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives them understanding.(nasb-1995) Job 32:8 ἀλλὰ πνεῦμά ἐστιν ἐν βροτοῖς πνοὴ δὲ παντοκράτορός ἐστιν ἡ διδάσκουσα (lxx) Job 32:8 Sed, ut video, spiritus est in hominibus, et inspiratio Omnipotentis dat intelligentiam.(Vulgate) Job 32:8 Aber der Geist ist in den Leuten und der Odem des Allmächtigen, der sie verständig macht.(dhs) 8 ׃32 אָ֭כֵן רֽוּחַ־הִ֣יא בֶאֱנ֑וֹשׁ וְנִשְׁמַ֖ת שַׁדַּ֣י תְּבִינֵֽם׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:8 But there is a spirit in man, And the breath of the Almighty gives him understanding.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:9 ============ Job 32:9 "The abundant in years may not be wise, Nor may elders understand justice.(nasb-1995) Job 32:9 οὐχ οἱ πολυχρόνιοί εἰσιν σοφοί οὐδ᾽ οἱ γέροντες οἴδασιν κρίμα (lxx) Job 32:9 Non sunt longævi sapientes, nec senes intelligunt judicium.(Vulgate) Job 32:9 Die Großen sind nicht immer die Weisesten, und die Alten verstehen nicht das Recht.(dhs) 9 ׃32 לֹֽא־רַבִּ֥ים יֶחְכָּ֑מוּ וּ֝זְקֵנִ֗ים יָבִ֥ינוּ מִשְׁפָּֽט׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:9 Great men are not always wise, Nor do the aged always understand justice.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:10 ============ Job 32:10 "So I say, 'Listen to me, I too will tell what I think.'(nasb-1995) Job 32:10 διὸ εἶπα ἀκούσατέ μου καὶ ἀναγγελῶ ὑμῖν ἃ οἶδα (lxx) Job 32:10 Ideo dicam: Audite me: ostendam vobis etiam ego meam sapientiam.(Vulgate) Job 32:10 Darum will ich auch reden; höre mir zu. Ich will mein Wissen auch kundtun.(dhs) 10 ׃32 לָכֵ֣ן אָ֭מַרְתִּי שִׁמְעָה־לִּ֑י אֲחַוֶּ֖ה דֵעִ֣י אַף־אָֽנִי׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:10 "Therefore I say, 'Listen to me, I also will declare my opinion.'(nkjv) ======= Job 32:11 ============ Job 32:11 "Behold, I waited for your words, I listened to your reasonings, While you pondered what to say.(nasb-1995) Job 32:11 ἐνωτίζεσθέ μου τὰ ῥήματα ἐρῶ γὰρ ὑμῶν ἀκουόντων ἄχρι οὗ ἐτάσητε λόγους (lxx) Job 32:11 Expectavi enim sermones vestros; audivi prudentiam vestram, donec disceptaremini sermonibus;(Vulgate) Job 32:11 Siehe, ich habe geharrt auf das, was ihr geredet habt; ich habe aufgemerkt auf eure Einsicht, bis ihr träfet die rechte Rede,(dhs) 11 ׃32 הֵ֤ן הוֹחַ֨לְתִּי לְֽדִבְרֵיכֶ֗ם אָ֭זִין עַד־תְּב֥וּנֹֽתֵיכֶ֑ם עַֽד־תַּחְקְר֥וּן מִלִּֽין׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:11 Indeed I waited for your words, I listened to your reasonings, while you searched out what to say.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:12 ============ Job 32:12 "I even paid close attention to you; Indeed, there was no one who refuted Job, Not one of you who answered his words.(nasb-1995) Job 32:12 καὶ μέχρι ὑμῶν συνήσω καὶ ἰδοὺ οὐκ ἦν τῷ Ιωβ ἐλέγχων ἀνταποκρινόμενος ῥήματα αὐτοῦ ἐξ ὑμῶν (lxx) Job 32:12 et donec putabam vos aliquid dicere, considerabam: sed, ut video, non est qui possit arguere Job, et respondere ex vobis sermonibus ejus.(Vulgate) Job 32:12 und ich habe achtgehabt auf euch. Aber siehe, da ist keiner unter euch, der Hiob zurechtweise oder seiner Rede antworte.(dhs) 12 ׃32 וְעָֽדֵיכֶ֗ם אֶתְבּ֫וֹנָ֥ן וְהִנֵּ֤ה אֵ֣ין לְאִיּ֣וֹב מוֹכִ֑יחַ עוֹנֶ֖ה אֲמָרָ֣יו מִכֶּֽם׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:12 I paid close attention to you; And surely not one of you convinced Job, Or answered his words--(nkjv) ======= Job 32:13 ============ Job 32:13 "Do not say, 'We have found wisdom; God will rout him, not man.'(nasb-1995) Job 32:13 ἵνα μὴ εἴπητε εὕρομεν σοφίαν κυρίῳ προσθέμενοι (lxx) Job 32:13 Ne forte dicatis: Invenimus sapientiam: Deus projecit eum, non homo.(Vulgate) Job 32:13 Sagt nur nicht: "Wir haben Weisheit getroffen; Gott muß ihn schlagen, kein Mensch."(dhs) 13 ׃32 פֶּן־תֹּ֣֭אמְרוּ מָצָ֣אנוּ חָכְמָ֑ה אֵ֖ל יִדְּפֶ֣נּוּ לֹא־אִֽישׁ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:13 Lest you say, 'We have found wisdom'; God will vanquish him, not man.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:14 ============ Job 32:14 "For he has not arranged his words against me, Nor will I reply to him with your arguments.(nasb-1995) Job 32:14 ἀνθρώπῳ δὲ ἐπετρέψατε λαλῆσαι τοιαῦτα ῥήματα (lxx) Job 32:14 Nihil locutus est mihi: et ego non secundum sermones vestros respondebo illi.(Vulgate) Job 32:14 Gegen mich hat er seine Worte nicht gerichtet, und mit euren Reden will ich ihm nicht antworten.(dhs) 14 ׃32 וְלֹא־עָרַ֣ךְ אֵלַ֣י מִלִּ֑ין וּ֝בְאִמְרֵיכֶ֗ם לֹ֣א אֲשִׁיבֶֽנּוּ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:14 Now he has not directed his words against me; So I will not answer him with your words.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:15 ============ Job 32:15 "They are dismayed, they no longer answer; Words have failed them.(nasb-1995) Job 32:15 ἐπτοήθησαν οὐκ ἀπεκρίθησαν ἔτι ἐπαλαίωσαν ἐξ αὐτῶν λόγους (lxx) Job 32:15 Extimuerunt, nec responderunt ultra, abstuleruntque a se eloquia.(Vulgate) Job 32:15 Ach! sie sind verzagt, können nicht mehr antworten; sie können nicht mehr reden.(dhs) 15 ׃32 חַ֭תּוּ לֹא־עָ֣נוּ ע֑וֹד הֶעְתִּ֖יקוּ מֵהֶ֣ם מִלִּֽים׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:15 "They are dismayed and answer no more; Words escape them.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:16 ============ Job 32:16 "Shall I wait, because they do not speak, Because they stop and no longer answer?(nasb-1995) Job 32:16 ὑπέμεινα οὐ γὰρ ἐλάλησαν ὅτι ἔστησαν οὐκ ἀπεκρίθησαν (lxx) Job 32:16 Quoniam igitur expectavi, et non sunt locuti: steterunt, nec ultra responderunt:(Vulgate) Job 32:16 Weil ich denn geharrt habe, und sie konnten nicht reden (denn sie stehen still und antworten nicht mehr),(dhs) 16 ׃32 וְ֭הוֹחַלְתִּי כִּי־לֹ֣א יְדַבֵּ֑רוּ כִּ֥י עָ֝מְד֗וּ לֹא־עָ֥נוּ עֽוֹד׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:16 And I have waited, because they did not speak, Because they stood still and answered no more.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:17 ============ Job 32:17 "I too will answer my share, I also will tell my opinion.(nasb-1995) Job 32:17 ὑπολαβὼν δὲ Ελιους λέγει (lxx) Job 32:17 respondebo et ego partem meam, et ostendam scientiam meam.(Vulgate) Job 32:17 will ich auch mein Teil antworten und will mein Wissen kundtun.(dhs) 17 ׃32 אַעֲנֶ֣ה אַף־אֲנִ֣י חֶלְקִ֑י אֲחַוֶּ֖ה דֵעִ֣י אַף־אָֽנִי׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:17 I also will answer my part, I too will declare my opinion.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:18 ============ Job 32:18 "For I am full of words; The spirit within me constrains me.(nasb-1995) Job 32:18 πάλιν λαλήσω πλήρης γάρ εἰμι ῥημάτων ὀλέκει γάρ με τὸ πνεῦμα τῆς γαστρός (lxx) Job 32:18 Plenus sum enim sermonibus, et coarctat me spiritus uteri mei.(Vulgate) Job 32:18 Denn ich bin der Reden so voll, daß mich der Odem in meinem Innern ängstet.(dhs) 18 ׃32 כִּ֭י מָלֵ֣תִי מִלִּ֑ים הֱ֝צִיקַ֗תְנִי ר֣וּחַ בִּטְנִֽי׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:18 For I am full of words; The spirit within me compels me.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:19 ============ Job 32:19 "Behold, my belly is like unvented wine, Like new wineskins it is about to burst.(nasb-1995) Job 32:19 ἡ δὲ γαστήρ μου ὥσπερ ἀσκὸς γλεύκους ζέων δεδεμένος ἢ ὥσπερ φυσητὴρ χαλκέως ἐρρηγώς (lxx) Job 32:19 En venter meus quasi mustum absque spiraculo, quod lagunculas novas disrumpit.(Vulgate) Job 32:19 Siehe, mein Inneres ist wie der Most, der zugestopft ist, der die neuen Schläuche zerreißt.(dhs) 19 ׃32 הִנֵּֽה־בִטְנִ֗י כְּיַ֥יִן לֹא־יִפָּתֵ֑חַ כְּאֹב֥וֹת חֲ֝דָשִׁ֗ים יִבָּקֵֽעַ׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:19 Indeed my belly is like wine that has no vent; It is ready to burst like new wineskins.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:20 ============ Job 32:20 "Let me speak that I may get relief; Let me open my lips and answer.(nasb-1995) Job 32:20 λαλήσω ἵνα ἀναπαύσωμαι ἀνοίξας τὰ χείλη (lxx) Job 32:20 Loquar, et respirabo paululum: aperiam labia mea, et respondebo.(Vulgate) Job 32:20 Ich muß reden, daß ich mir Luft mache; ich muß meine Lippen auftun und antworten.(dhs) 20 ׃32 אֲדַבְּרָ֥ה וְיִֽרְוַֽח־לִ֑י אֶפְתַּ֖ח שְׂפָתַ֣י וְאֶֽעֱנֶֽה׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:20 I will speak, that I may find relief; I must open my lips and answer.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:21 ============ Job 32:21 "Let me now be partial to no one, Nor flatter any man.(nasb-1995) Job 32:21 ἄνθρωπον γὰρ οὐ μὴ αἰσχυνθῶ ἀλλὰ μὴν οὐδὲ βροτὸν οὐ μὴ ἐντραπῶ (lxx) Job 32:21 Non accipiam personam viri, et Deum homini non æquabo.(Vulgate) Job 32:21 Ich will niemands Person ansehen und will keinem Menschen schmeicheln.(dhs) 21 ׃32 אַל־נָ֭א אֶשָּׂ֣א פְנֵי־אִ֑ישׁ וְאֶל־אָ֝דָ֗ם לֹ֣א אֲכַנֶּֽה׃ Job-(Hebrew) Job 32:21 Let me not, I pray, show partiality to anyone; Nor let me flatter any man.(nkjv) ======= Job 32:22 ============ Job 32:22 "For I do not know how to flatter, Else my Maker would soon take me away.
