Today's Date: ======= Deuteronomy 4:1 ============ Deu 4:1 "Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I am teaching you to perform, so that you may live and go in and take possession of the land which the Lord, the God of your fathers, is giving you.(nasb) Deu 4:1 Et nunc, Israël, audi præcepta et judicia, quæ ego doceo te: ut faciens ea, vivas, et ingrediens possideas terram, quam Dominus Deus patrum vestrorum daturus est vobis.(vulgate) Deuteronomio 4:1 Ahora pues, oh Israel, oye los estatutos y derechos que yo os enseño, para que los ejecutéis y viváis, y entréis y poseáis la tierra que Jehová el Dios de vuestros padres os da.(E) Deutéronome 4:1 Maintenant, Israël, écoute les lois et les ordonnances que je vous enseigne. Mettez-les en pratique, afin que vous viviez, et que vous entriez en possession du pays que vous donne l'Eternel, le Dieu de vos pères.(F) Deu 4:1 Und nun höre, Israel, die Gebote und Rechte, die ich euch lehre, daß ihr sie tun sollt, auf daß ihr lebt und hineinkommet und das Land einnehmet, das euch der HERR, eurer Väter Gott, gibt.(D) Deu 4:1 καὶ νῦν Ισραηλ ἄκουε τῶν δικαιωμάτων καὶ τῶν κριμάτων ὅσα ἐγὼ διδάσκω ὑμᾶς σήμερον ποιεῖν ἵνα ζῆτε καὶ πολυπλασιασθῆτε καὶ εἰσελθόντες κληρονομήσητε τὴν γῆν ἣν κύριος ὁ θεὸς τῶν πατέρων ὑμῶν δίδωσιν ὑμῖν(lxx) Deu 4:1 "Now, O Israel, listen to the statutes and the judgments which I teach you to observe, that you may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord God of your fathers is giving you.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 4:2 ============ Deu 4:2 You shall not add to the word which I am commanding you, nor take away from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.(nasb) Deu 4:2 Non addetis ad verbum, quod vobis loquor, nec auferetis ex eo: custodite mandata Domini Dei vestri, quæ ego præcipio vobis.(vulgate) Deuteronomio 4:2 No añadiréis a la palabra que yo os mando, ni disminuiréis de ella, para que guardéis los mandamientos de Jehová vuestro Dios que yo os ordeno.(E) Deutéronome 4:2 Vous n'ajouterez rien à ce que je vous prescris, et vous n'en retrancherez rien; mais vous observerez les commandements de l'Eternel, votre Dieu, tels que je vous les prescris.(F) Deu 4:2 Ihr sollt nichts dazutun zu dem, was ich euch gebiete, und sollt auch nichts davontun, auf daß ihr bewahren möget die Gebote des HERRN, eures Gottes, die ich euch gebiete.(D) Deu 4:2 οὐ προσθήσετε πρὸς τὸ ῥῆμα ὃ ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαι ὑμῖν καὶ οὐκ ἀφελεῖτε ἀπ᾽ αὐτοῦ φυλάσσεσθε τὰς ἐντολὰς κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαι ὑμῖν σήμερον(lxx) Deu 4:2 You shall not add to the word which I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 4:3 ============ Deu 4:3 Your eyes have seen what the Lord has done in the case of Baal-peor, for all the men who followed Baal-peor, the Lord your God has destroyed them from among you.(nasb) Deu 4:3 Oculi vestri viderunt omnia quæ fecit Dominus contra Beelphegor, quomodo contriverit omnes cultores ejus de medio vestri.(vulgate) Deuteronomio 4:3 Vuestros ojos vieron lo que hizo Jehová con motivo de Baal-peor; que a todo hombre que fue en pos de Baal-peor destruyó Jehová tu Dios de en medio de ti.(E) Deutéronome 4:3 Vos yeux ont vu ce que l'Eternel a fait à l'occasion de Baal-Peor: l'Eternel, ton Dieu, a détruit du milieu de toi tous ceux qui étaient allés après Baal-Peor.(F) Deu 4:3 Eure Augen haben gesehen, was der HERR getan hat wider den Baal-Peor; denn alle, die dem Baal-Peor folgten, hat der HERR, dein Gott, vertilgt unter euch.(D) Deu 4:3 οἱ ὀφθαλμοὶ ὑμῶν ἑωράκασιν πάντα ὅσα ἐποίησεν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν τῷ Βεελφεγωρ ὅτι πᾶς ἄνθρωπος ὅστις ἐπορεύθη ὀπίσω Βεελφεγωρ ἐξέτριψεν αὐτὸν κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὑμῶν ἐξ ὑμῶν(lxx) Deu 4:3 Your eyes have seen what the Lord did at Baal Peor; for the Lord your God has destroyed from among you all the men who followed Baal of Peor.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 4:4 ============ Deu 4:4 But you who held fast to the Lord your God are alive today, every one of you.(nasb) Deu 4:4 Vos autem qui adhæretis Domino Deo vestro, vivitis universi usque in præsentem diem.(vulgate) Deuteronomio 4:4 Mas vosotros que os aferrasteis a Jehová vuestro Dios, todos [estáis] vivos hoy.(E) Deutéronome 4:4 Et vous, qui vous êtes attachés à l'Eternel, votre Dieu, vous êtes aujourd'hui tous vivants.(F) Deu 4:4 Aber ihr, die ihr dem HERRN, eurem Gott, anhinget, lebt alle heutigestages.(D) Deu 4:4 ὑμεῖς δὲ οἱ προσκείμενοι κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ ὑμῶν ζῆτε πάντες ἐν τῇ σήμερον(lxx) Deu 4:4 But you who held fast to the Lord your God are alive today, every one of you.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 4:5 ============ Deu 4:5 "See, I have taught you statutes and judgments just as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should do thus in the land where you are entering to possess it.(nasb) Deu 4:5 Scitis quod docuerim vos præcepta atque justitias, sicut mandavit mihi Dominus Deus meus: sic facietis ea in terra, quam possessuri estis:(vulgate) Deuteronomio 4:5 Mirad, yo os he enseñado estatutos y derechos tal como Jehová mi Dios me mandó, para que hagáis así en medio de la tierra en la cual entráis para poseerla.(E) Deutéronome 4:5 Voici, je vous ai enseigné des lois et des ordonnances, comme l'Eternel, mon Dieu, me l'a commandé, afin que vous les mettiez en pratique dans le pays dont vous allez prendre possession.(F) Deu 4:5 Siehe, ich habe euch gelehrt Gebote und Rechte, wie mir der HERR, mein Gott, geboten hat, daß ihr also tun sollt in dem Lande, darein ihr kommen werdet, daß ihr's einnehmet.(D) Deu 4:5 ἴδετε δέδειχα ὑμῖν δικαιώματα καὶ κρίσεις καθὰ ἐνετείλατό μοι κύριος ποιῆσαι οὕτως ἐν τῇ γῇ εἰς ἣν ὑμεῖς εἰσπορεύεσθε ἐκεῖ κληρονομεῖν αὐτήν(lxx) Deu 4:5 Surely I have taught you statutes and judgments, just as the Lord my God commanded me, that you should act according to them in the land which you go to possess.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 4:6 ============ Deu 4:6 So keep and do them, for that is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes and say, 'Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.'(nasb) Deu 4:6 et observabitis et implebitis opere. Hæc est enim vestra sapientia, et intellectus coram populis, ut audientes universa præcepta hæc, dicant: En populus sapiens et intelligens, gens magna.(vulgate) Deuteronomio 4:6 Guardadlos, pues, y ponedlos por obra; porque ésta es vuestra sabiduría y vuestra inteligencia ante los ojos de los pueblos, los cuales oirán todos estos estatutos, y dirán: Ciertamente pueblo sabio y entendido, nación grande es ésta.(E) Deutéronome 4:6 Vous les observerez et vous les mettrez en pratique; car ce sera là votre sagesse et votre intelligence aux yeux des peuples, qui entendront parler de toutes ces lois et qui diront: Cette grande nation est un peuple absolument sage et intelligent!(F) Deu 4:6 So behaltet's nun und tut es. Denn das wird eure Weisheit und Verstand sein bei allen Völkern, wenn sie hören werden alle diese Gebote, daß sie müssen sagen: Ei, welch weise und verständige Leute sind das und ein herrlich Volk!(D) Deu 4:6 καὶ φυλάξεσθε καὶ ποιήσετε ὅτι αὕτη ἡ σοφία ὑμῶν καὶ ἡ σύνεσις ἐναντίον πάντων τῶν ἐθνῶν ὅσοι ἐὰν ἀκούσωσιν πάντα τὰ δικαιώματα ταῦτα καὶ ἐροῦσιν ἰδοὺ λαὸς σοφὸς καὶ ἐπιστήμων τὸ ἔθνος τὸ μέγα τοῦτο(lxx) Deu 4:6 Therefore be careful to observe them; for this is your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the peoples who will hear all these statutes, and say, 'Surely this great nation is a wise and understanding people.'(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 4:7 ============ Deu 4:7 For what great nation is there that has a god so near to it as is the Lord our God whenever we call on Him?(nasb) Deu 4:7 Nec est alia natio tam grandis, quæ habeat deos appropinquantes sibi, sicut Deus noster adest cunctis obsecrationibus nostris.(vulgate) Deuteronomio 4:7 Porque ¿qué nación grande [hay] que tenga a Dios [tan] cerca a sí, como lo [está] Jehová nuestro Dios en todo cuanto le pedimos?(E) Deutéronome 4:7 Quelle est, en effet, la grande nation qui ait des dieux aussi proches que l'Eternel, notre Dieu, l'est de nous toutes les fois que nous l'invoquons?(F) Deu 4:7 Denn wo ist so ein herrlich Volk, zu dem Götter also nahe sich tun als der HERR, unser Gott, so oft wir ihn anrufen?(D) Deu 4:7 ὅτι ποῖον ἔθνος μέγα ᾧ ἐστιν αὐτῷ θεὸς ἐγγίζων αὐτοῖς ὡς κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν ἐν πᾶσιν οἷς ἐὰν αὐτὸν ἐπικαλεσώμεθα(lxx) Deu 4:7 For what great nation is there that has God so near to it, as the Lord our God is to us, for whatever reason we may call upon Him?(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 4:8 ============ Deu 4:8 Or what great nation is there that has statutes and judgments as righteous as this whole law which I am setting before you today?(nasb) Deu 4:8 Quæ est enim alia gens sic inclyta, ut habeat cæremonias, justaque judicia, et universam legem, quam ego proponam hodie ante oculos vestros?~(vulgate) Deuteronomio 4:8 Y ¿qué nación grande [hay] que tenga estatutos y derechos [tan] justos como toda esta ley que hoy pongo delante de vosotros?(E) Deutéronome 4:8 Et quelle est la grande nation qui ait des lois et des ordonnances justes, comme toute cette loi que je vous présente aujourd'hui?(F) Deu 4:8 Und wo ist so ein herrlich Volk, das so gerechte Sitten und Gebote habe wie all dies Gesetz, daß ich euch heutigestages vorlege?(D) Deu 4:8 καὶ ποῖον ἔθνος μέγα ᾧ ἐστιν αὐτῷ δικαιώματα καὶ κρίματα δίκαια κατὰ πάντα τὸν νόμον τοῦτον ὃν ἐγὼ δίδωμι ἐνώπιον ὑμῶν σήμερον(lxx) Deu 4:8 And what great nation is there that has such statutes and righteous judgments as are in all this law which I set before you this day?(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 4:9 ============ Deu 4:9 "Only give heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently, so that you do not forget the things which your eyes have seen and they do not depart from your heart all the days of your life; but make them known to your sons and your grandsons.(nasb) Deu 4:9 Custodi igitur temetipsum, et animam tuam sollicite. Ne obliviscaris verborum, quæ viderunt oculi tui, et ne excidant de corde tuo cunctis diebus vitæ tuæ. Docebis ea filios ac nepotes tuos,(vulgate) Deuteronomio 4:9 Por tanto, guárdate, y guarda tu alma con diligencia, que no te olvides de las cosas que tus ojos han visto, y no se aparten de tu corazón todos los días de tu vida; antes bien, las enseñarás a tus hijos, y a los hijos de tus hijos.(E) Deutéronome 4:9 Seulement, prends garde à toi et veille attentivement sur ton âme, tous les jours de ta vie, de peur que tu n'oublies les choses que tes yeux ont vues, et qu'elles ne sortent de ton coeur; enseigne-les à tes enfants et aux enfants de tes enfants.(F) Deu 4:9 Hüte dich nur und bewahre deine Seele wohl, daß du nicht vergessest der Geschichten, die deine Augen gesehen haben, und daß sie nicht aus deinem Herzen kommen all dein Leben lang. Und sollst deinen Kindern und Kindeskindern kundtun(D) Deu 4:9 πρόσεχε σεαυτῷ καὶ φύλαξον τὴν ψυχήν σου σφόδρα μὴ ἐπιλάθῃ πάντας τοὺς λόγους οὓς ἑωράκασιν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου καὶ μὴ ἀποστήτωσαν ἀπὸ τῆς καρδίας σου πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας τῆς ζωῆς σου καὶ συμβιβάσεις τοὺς υἱούς σου καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς τῶν υἱῶν σου(lxx) Deu 4:9 "Only take heed to yourself, and diligently keep yourself, lest you forget the things your eyes have seen, and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life. And teach them to your children and your grandchildren,(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 4:10 ============ Deu 4:10 Remember the day you stood before the Lord your God at Horeb, when the Lord said to me, 'Assemble the people to Me, that I may let them hear My words so they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.'(nasb) Deu 4:10 a die in quo stetisti coram Domino Deo tuo in Horeb, quando Dominus locutus est mihi, dicens: Congrega ad me populum, ut audiant sermones meos, et discant timere me omni tempore quo vivunt in terra, doceantque filios suos.(vulgate) Deuteronomio 4:10 El día que estuviste delante de Jehová tu Dios en Horeb, cuando Jehová me dijo: Reúneme el pueblo, para que yo les haga oír mis palabras, las cuales aprenderán, para temerme todos los días que vivieren sobre la tierra: y las enseñarán a sus hijos;(E) Deutéronome 4:10 Souviens-toi du jour où tu te présentas devant l'Eternel, ton Dieu, à Horeb, lorsque l'Eternel me dit: Assemble auprès de moi le peuple! Je veux leur faire entendre mes paroles, afin qu'ils apprennent à me craindre tout le temps qu'ils vivront sur la terre; et afin qu'ils les enseignent à leurs enfants.(F) Deu 4:10 den Tag, da du vor dem HERRN, deinem Gott, standest am Berge Horeb, da der HERR zu mir sagte: Versammle mir das Volk, daß sie meine Worte hören und lernen mich fürchten alle ihre Lebtage auf Erden und lehren ihre Kinder.(D) Deu 4:10 ἡμέραν ἣν ἔστητε ἐναντίον κυρίου τοῦ θεοῦ ὑμῶν ἐν Χωρηβ τῇ ἡμέρᾳ τῆς ἐκκλησίας ὅτε εἶπεν κύριος πρός με ἐκκλησίασον πρός με τὸν λαόν καὶ ἀκουσάτωσαν τὰ ῥήματά μου ὅπως μάθωσιν φοβεῖσθαί με πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας ἃς αὐτοὶ ζῶσιν ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς καὶ τοὺς υἱοὺς αὐτῶν διδάξωσιν(lxx) Deu 4:10 especially concerning the day you stood before the Lord your God in Horeb, when the Lord said to me, 'Gather the people to Me, and I will let them hear My words, that they may learn to fear Me all the days they live on the earth, and that they may teach their children.'(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 4:11 ============ Deu 4:11 You came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, and the mountain burned with fire to the very heart of the heavens: darkness, cloud and thick gloom.(nasb) Deu 4:11 Et accessistis ad radices montis, qui ardebat usque ad cælum: erantque in eo tenebræ, et nubes, et caligo.(vulgate) Deuteronomio 4:11 Y os acercasteis, y os pusisteis al pie del monte; y el monte ardía en fuego hasta en medio de los cielos con tinieblas, nube, y oscuridad.(E) Deutéronome 4:11 Vous vous approchâtes et vous vous tîntes au pied de la montagne. La montagne était embrasée, et les flammes s'élevaient jusqu'au milieu du ciel. Il y avait des ténèbres, des nuées, de l'obscurité.(F) Deu 4:11 Und ihr tratet herzu und standet unten an dem Berge; der Berg brannte aber bis mitten an den Himmel, und war da Finsternis, Wolken und Dunkel.(D) Deu 4:11 καὶ προσήλθετε καὶ ἔστητε ὑπὸ τὸ ὄρος καὶ τὸ ὄρος ἐκαίετο πυρὶ ἕως τοῦ οὐρανοῦ σκότος γνόφος θύελλα φωνὴ μεγάλη(lxx) Deu 4:11 Then you came near and stood at the foot of the mountain, and the mountain burned with fire to the midst of heaven, with darkness, cloud, and thick darkness.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 4:12 ============ Deu 4:12 Then the Lord spoke to you from the midst of the fire; you heard the sound of words, but you saw no form--only a voice.(nasb) Deu 4:12 Locutusque est Dominus ad vos de medio ignis. Vocem verborum ejus audistis, et formam penitus non vidistis.(vulgate) Deuteronomio 4:12 Y Jehová habló con vosotros de en medio del fuego; oísteis la voz de sus palabras, pero a excepción de oír la voz, ninguna figura visteis.(E) Deutéronome 4:12 Et l'Eternel vous parla du milieu du feu; vous entendîtes le son des paroles, mais vous ne vîtes point de figure, vous n'entendîtes qu'une voix.(F) Deu 4:12 Und der HERR redete mit euch mitten aus dem Feuer. Die Stimme seiner Worte hörtet ihr; aber keine Gestalt saht ihr außer der Stimme.(D) Deu 4:12 καὶ ἐλάλησεν κύριος πρὸς ὑμᾶς ἐκ μέσου τοῦ πυρός φωνὴν ῥημάτων ὑμεῖς ἠκούσατε καὶ ὁμοίωμα οὐκ εἴδετε ἀλλ᾽ ἢ φωνήν(lxx) Deu 4:12 And the Lord spoke to you out of the midst of the fire. You heard the sound of the words, but saw no form; you only heard a voice.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 4:13 ============ Deu 4:13 So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, that is, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.(nasb) Deu 4:13 Et ostendit vobis pactum suum, quod præcepit ut faceretis, et decem verba, quæ scripsit in duabus tabulis lapideis.(vulgate) Deuteronomio 4:13 Y Él os anunció su pacto, el cual os mandó poner por obra, los diez mandamientos; y los escribió en dos tablas de piedra.(E) Deutéronome 4:13 Il publia son alliance, qu'il vous ordonna d'observer, les dix commandements; et il les écrivit sur deux tables de pierre.(F) Deu 4:13 Und er verkündigte euch seinen Bund, den er euch gebot zu tun, nämlich die Zehn Worte, und schrieb sie auf zwei steinerne Tafeln.(D) Deu 4:13 καὶ ἀνήγγειλεν ὑμῖν τὴν διαθήκην αὐτοῦ ἣν ἐνετείλατο ὑμῖν ποιεῖν τὰ δέκα ῥήματα καὶ ἔγραψεν αὐτὰ ἐπὶ δύο πλάκας λιθίνας(lxx) Deu 4:13 So He declared to you His covenant which He commanded you to perform, the Ten Commandments; and He wrote them on two tablets of stone.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 4:14 ============ Deu 4:14 The Lord commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you might perform them in the land where you are going over to possess it.(nasb) Deu 4:14 Mihique mandavit in illo tempore ut docerem vos cæremonias et judicia, quæ facere deberetis in terra, quam possessuri estis.(vulgate) Deuteronomio 4:14 A mí también me mandó Jehová en aquel tiempo a enseñaros los estatutos y derechos, para que los pusieseis por obra en la tierra a la cual pasáis para poseerla.(E) Deutéronome 4:14 En ce temps-là, l'Eternel me commanda de vous enseigner des lois et des ordonnances, afin que vous les mettiez en pratique dans le pays dont vous allez prendre possession.(F) Deu 4:14 Und der HERR gebot mir zur selben Zeit, daß ich euch lehren sollte Gebote und Rechte, daß ihr darnach tätet in dem Lande, darein ihr ziehet, daß ihr's einnehmet.(D) Deu 4:14 καὶ ἐμοὶ ἐνετείλατο κύριος ἐν τῷ καιρῷ ἐκείνῳ διδάξαι ὑμᾶς δικαιώματα καὶ κρίσεις ποιεῖν αὐτὰ ὑμᾶς ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς εἰς ἣν ὑμεῖς εἰσπορεύεσθε ἐκεῖ κληρονομεῖν αὐτήν(lxx) Deu 4:14 And the Lord commanded me at that time to teach you statutes and judgments, that you might observe them in the land which you cross over to possess.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 4:15 ============ Deu 4:15 "So watch yourselves carefully, since you did not see any form on the day the Lord spoke to you at Horeb from the midst of the fire,(nasb) Deu 4:15 Custodite igitur sollicite animas vestras.
