He dug many wells, for he had much livestock, both in the lowlands and in the plains; he also had farmers and vinedressers in the mountains and in Carmel, for he loved the soil.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 26:11 ============ 2Ch 26:11 Moreover, Uzziah had an army ready for battle, which entered combat by divisions according to the number of their muster, prepared by Jeiel the scribe and Maaseiah the official, under the direction of Hananiah, one of the king's officers.(nasb) 2Ch 26:11 Fuit autem exercitus bellatorum ejus, qui procedebant ad prælia sub manu Jehiel scribæ, Maasiæque war with mighty power, to help the king against the enemy.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 26:14 ============ 2Ch 26:14 Moreover, Uzziah prepared for all the army shields, spears, helmets, body armor, bows body armor, bows, and slings to cast stones.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 26:15 ============ 2Ch 26:15 In Jerusalem he made engines of war invented by skillful men to be on the towers and on the corners for the purpose of shooting arrows and great stones. Und sein Name kam weit aus, darum daß ihm wunderbar geholfen ward, bis er mächtig ward.(D) 2Ch 26:15 καὶ ἐποίησεν ἐν Ιερουσαλημ μηχανὰς μεμηχανευμένας λογιστοῦ τοῦ εἶναι ἐπὶ τῶν πύργων καὶ ἐπὶ τῶν γωνιῶν βάλλειν βέλεσιν καὶ λίθοις μεγάλοις καὶ ἠκούσθη ἡ κατασκευὴ αὐτῶν ἕως πόρρω ὅτι ἐθαυμαστώθη τοῦ βοηθηθῆναι ἕως οὗ κατίσχυσεν(lxx) 2Ch 26:15 And he made devices in Jerusalem, invented by skillful men, to be on the towers and the corners, to shoot arrows and large stones.
