But the Levites did not act quickly.(nasb) 2Ch 24:5 Congregavitque sacerdotes et Levitas, et dixit eis: Egredimini ad civitates Juda, et colligite de universo Israël pecuniam ad sartatecta templi Dei vestri per singulos annos, festinatoque hoc facite. Ιερουσαλημ τὸ κεκριμένον ὑπὸ Μωυσῆ ἀνθρώπου τοῦ θεοῦ ὅτε ἐξεκκλησίασεν τὸν Ισραηλ εἰς τὴν σκηνὴν τοῦ μαρτυρίου(lxx) 2Ch 24:6 So the king called Jehoiada the chief priest, and said to him, "Why have you not required the Levites to bring in from Judah and from Jerusalem the collection, according to the commandment of Moses the servant of the Lord and of the assembly of Israel, for the tabernacle of witness?"(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 24:7 ============ 2Ch 24:7 For the sons of the wicked Athaliah had broken into the house of God and even used the holy things of the house of the Lord for the κυρίου ἐποίησαν ταῖς Βααλιμ(lxx) 2Ch 24:7 For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken into the house of God, and had also presented all the dedicated things of the house of the Lord to the Baals.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 24:8 ============ 2Ch 24:8 So the king commanded, and they made a chest and set it outside by the gate of the house of the Lord.(nasb) 2Ch 24:8 Præcepit ergo rex, et outside at the gate of the house of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 24:9 ============ 2Ch 24:9 They made a proclamation in Judah and Jerusalem to bring to the Lord the levy fixed by Moses the servant of God on Israel in the wilderness.(nasb) 2Ch 24:9 Et prædicatum est in Juda et Jerusalem ut deferrent singuli pretium Domino, quod constituit Moyses servus Dei super omnem Israël in καθὼς εἶπεν Μωυσῆς παῖς τοῦ θεοῦ ἐπὶ τὸν Ισραηλ ἐν τῇ ἐρήμῳ(lxx) 2Ch 24:9 And they made a proclamation throughout Judah and Jerusalem to bring to the Lord the collection that Moses the servant of God had imposed on Israel in the wilderness.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 24:10 ============ 2Ch 24:10 All the officers and all the people rejoiced and brought in their levies and dropped them into the ἄρχοντες καὶ πᾶς ὁ λαὸς καὶ εἰσέφερον καὶ ἐνέβαλλον εἰς τὸ γλωσσόκομον ἕως οὗ ἐπληρώθη(lxx) 2Ch 24:10 Then all the leaders and all the people rejoiced, brought their contributions, and put them into the chest until all had given.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 24:11 ============ 2Ch 24:11 It came about whenever the chest was brought in to the king's officer by the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, then the king's scribe and the chief priest's officer would come, empty the chest, take it, and return it to its place. Thus they did daily and collected much money.(nasb) 2Ch 24:11 Cumque tempus esset ut deferrent arcam coram rege per manus Levitarum (videbant enim multam pecuniam), ingrediebatur scriba regis, et quem primus sacerdos constituerat, effundebantque pecuniam quæ erat in arca, porro arcam reportabant ad locum suum: sicque faciebant per singulos dies. Et congregata est infinita pecunia,(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 24:11 Y sucedía que cuando venía el tiempo para llevar el arca al magistrado del rey por mano de los levitas, cuando veían que [había] mucho dinero, venía el escriba del rey, y el que estaba puesto por el sumo sacerdote, y llevaban el arca, y la vaciaban, y la volvían a su lugar; y así lo hacían de día en día, y recogían mucho dinero;(E) 2 Chroniques 24:11 Quand c'était le moment où les Lévites, voyant qu'il y avait beaucoup d'argent dans le coffre, devaient le livrer aux inspecteurs royaux, le secrétaire du roi et le commissaire du souverain sacrificateur venaient vider le coffre; ils le prenaient et le remettaient à sa place; ils faisaient ainsi journellement, et ils recueillirent de l'argent en abondance.(F) 2Ch 24:11 Und wenn's Zeit war, daß man die Lade herbringen sollte durch die Leviten nach des Königs Befehl (wenn sie sahen, daß viel Geld darin war), so kam der Schreiber des Königs und wer vom vornehmsten Priester Befehl hatte, und schüttete die Lade aus und trugen sie wieder an ihren Ort. So taten sie alle Tage, daß sie Geld die Menge zuhauf brachten.(D) 2Ch 24:11 καὶ ἐγένετο ὡς εἰσέφερον τὸ γλωσσόκομον πρὸς τοὺς προστάτας τοῦ βασιλέως διὰ χειρὸς τῶν Λευιτῶν καὶ ὡς εἶδον ὅτι ἐπλεόνασεν τὸ ἀργύριον καὶ ἦλθεν ὁ γραμματεὺς τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ὁ προστάτης τοῦ ἱερέως τοῦ μεγάλου καὶ ἐξεκένωσαν τὸ γλωσσόκομον καὶ κατέστησαν εἰς τὸν τόπον αὐτοῦ οὕτως ἐποίουν ἡμέραν ἐξ ἡμέρας καὶ συνήγαγον ἀργύριον πολύ(lxx) 2Ch 24:11 So it was, at that time, when the chest was brought to the king's official by the hand of the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, that the king's scribe and the high priest's officer came and emptied the chest, and took it and returned it to its place. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 24:12 ============ 2Ch 24:12 The king and Jehoiada gave it to those who did the work of the service of the house of the Lord; and they hired masons and carpenters to restore the house of the Lord, and also workers in iron and bronze to repair the house of the Lord.(nasb) 2Ch 24:12 quam dederunt rex et Jojada his qui præerant operibus domus Domini: at illi conducebant ex ea cæsores lapidum, et artifices operum singulorum ut instaurarent domum Domini: fabros quoque ferri et æris, ut quod cadere cœperat, fulciretur.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 24:12 y el rey y Joiada lo daban a los que hacían la obra del servicio de la casa de Jehová, y contrataban canteros y carpinteros para que reparasen la casa de Jehová, y a los que trabajaban con hierro y bronce para que reparasen la casa de Jehová.(E) 2 Chroniques 24:12 Le roi et Jehojada le donnaient à ceux qui étaient chargés de faire exécuter l'ouvrage dans la maison de l'Eternel, et qui prenaient à gage des tailleurs de pierres et des charpentiers pour réparer la maison de l'Eternel, et aussi des ouvriers en fer ou en airain pour réparer la maison de l'Eternel.(F) 2Ch 24:12 Und der König und Jojada gaben's den Werkmeistern, die da schaffen am Hause des HERRN; dieselben dingten Steinmetzen und Zimmerleute, zu erneuern das Haus des HERRN; auch Meister in Eisen und Erz, zu bessern das Haus des HERRN.(D) 2Ch 24:12 καὶ ἔδωκεν αὐτὸ ὁ βασιλεὺς καὶ Ιωδαε ὁ ἱερεὺς τοῖς ποιοῦσιν τὰ ἔργα εἰς τὴν ἐργασίαν οἴκου κυρίου καὶ ἐμισθοῦντο λατόμους καὶ τέκτονας ἐπισκευάσαι τὸν οἶκον κυρίου καὶ χαλκεῖς σιδήρου καὶ χαλκοῦ ἐπισκευάσαι τὸν οἶκον κυρίου(lxx) 2Ch 24:12 The king and Jehoiada gave it to those who did the work of the service of the house of the Lord; and they hired masons and carpenters to repair the house of the Lord, and also those who worked in iron and bronze to restore the house of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 24:13 ============ 2Ch 24:13 So the workmen labored, and the repair work progressed in their hands, and they restored the house of God according to its specifications and strengthened it.(nasb) 2Ch 24:13 Egeruntque hi qui operabantur industrie, et obducebatur parietum cicatrix per manus eorum, ac suscitaverunt domum Domini in statum pristinum, et firmiter eam stare fecerunt.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 24:13 Hacían, pues, los artesanos la obra, y por sus manos la obra fue restaurada, y restituyeron la casa de Dios a su condición, y la consolidaron.(E) 2 Chroniques 24:13 Ceux qui étaient chargés de l'ouvrage travaillèrent, et les réparations s'exécutèrent par leurs soins; ils remirent en état la maison de Dieu et la consolidèrent.(F) 2Ch 24:13 Und die Arbeiter arbeiteten, daß die Besserung im Werk zunahm durch ihre Hand, und machten das Haus Gottes ganz fertig und wohl zugerichtet.(D) 2Ch 24:13 καὶ ἐποίουν οἱ ποιοῦντες τὰ ἔργα καὶ ἀνέβη μῆκος τῶν ἔργων ἐν χερσὶν αὐτῶν καὶ ἀνέστησαν τὸν οἶκον κυρίου ἐπὶ τὴν στάσιν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐνίσχυσαν(lxx) 2Ch 24:13 So the workmen labored, and the work was completed by them; they restored the house of God to its original condition and reinforced it.(nkjv) ======= 2 Chronicles 24:14 ============ 2Ch 24:14 When they had finished, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada; and it was made into utensils for the house of the Lord, utensils for the service and the burnt offering, and pans and utensils of gold and silver. And they offered burnt offerings in the house of the Lord continually all the days of Jehoiada.(nasb) 2Ch 24:14 Cumque complessent omnia opera, detulerunt coram rege et Jojada reliquam partem pecuniæ: de qua facta sunt vasa templi in ministerium, et ad holocausta, phialæ quoque, et cetera vasa aurea et argentea: offerebantur holocausta in domo Domini jugiter cunctis diebus Jojadæ.(vulgate) 2 Crónicas 24:14 Y cuando hubieron terminado, trajeron el resto del dinero delante del rey y de Joiada, e hicieron de él utensilios para la casa de Jehová, utensilios para el servicio, morteros, cucharas, vasos de oro y de plata. Y sacrificaban holocaustos continuamente en la casa de Jehová todos los días de Joiada.(E) 2 Chroniques 24:14 Lorsqu'ils eurent achevé, ils apportèrent devant le roi et devant Jehojada le reste de l'argent; et l'on en fit des ustensiles pour la maison de l'Eternel, des ustensiles pour le service et pour les holocaustes, des coupes, et d'autres ustensiles d'or et d'argent. Et, pendant toute la vie de Jehojada, on offrit continuellement des holocaustes dans la maison de l'Eternel.(F) 2Ch 24:14 Und da sie es vollendet hatten, brachten sie das übrige Geld vor den König und Jojada; davon machte man Gefäße zum Hause des HERRN, Gefäße zum Dienst und zu Brandopfern, Löffel und goldene und silberne Geräte. Und sie opferten Brandopfer bei dem Hause des HERRN allewege, solange Jojada lebte.(D) 2Ch 24:14 καὶ ὡς συνετέλεσαν ἤνεγκαν πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα καὶ πρὸς Ιωδαε τὸ κατάλοιπον τοῦ ἀργυρίου καὶ ἐποίησαν σκεύη εἰς οἶκον κυρίου σκεύη λειτουργικὰ ὁλοκαυτωμάτων καὶ θυίσκας χρυσᾶς καὶ ἀργυρᾶς καὶ ἀνήνεγκαν ὁλοκαυτώσεις ἐν οἴκῳ κυρίου διὰ παντὸς πάσας τὰς ἡμέρας Ιωδαε(lxx) 2Ch 24:14 When they had finished, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada; they made from it articles for the house of the Lord, articles for serving and offering, spoons and vessels of gold and silver.
