Like an eagle the enemy comes against the house of the Lord, Because they have transgressed My covenant And rebelled against My law.(nasb) Hos 8:1 [In gutture tuo sit tuba quasi aquila super domum Domini, pro eo quod transgressi sunt fœdus meum, et legem meam prævaricati sunt.(vulgate) Oseas 8:1 Pon a tu boca trompeta. [Vendrá] como águila contra la casa de Jehová, porque traspasaron mi pacto y se rebelaron contra mi ley.(E) Osée 8:1 Embouche la trompette! L'ennemi fond comme un aigle sur la maison de l'Eternel, Parce qu'ils ont violé mon alliance, Et transgressé ma loi.(F) Hos 8:1 Rufe laut wie eine Posaune: Er kommt über das Haus des HERRN wie ein Adler, darum daß sie meinen Bund übertreten und von meinem Gesetz abtrünnig werden.(D) Hos 8:1 εἰς κόλπον αὐτῶν ὡς γῆ ὡς ἀετὸς ἐπ᾽ οἶκον κυρίου ἀνθ᾽ ὧν παρέβησαν τὴν διαθήκην μου καὶ κατὰ τοῦ νόμου μου ἠσέβησαν(lxx) Hos 8:1 "Set the trumpet to your mouth! He shall come like an eagle against the house of the Lord, Because they have transgressed My covenant And rebelled against My law.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 8:2 ============ Hos 8:2 They cry out to Me, "My God, we of Israel know You!"(nasb) Hos 8:2 Me invocabunt: Deus meus, cognovimus te Israël.(vulgate) Oseas 8:2 Israel clamará a mí: Dios mío, te conocemos.(E) Osée 8:2 Ils crieront vers moi: Mon Dieu, nous te connaissons, nous Israël!(F) Hos 8:2 Dann werden sie zu mir schreien: Du bist mein Gott; wir, Israel, kennen dich!(D) Hos 8:2 ἐμὲ κεκράξονται ὁ θεός ἐγνώκαμέν σε(lxx) Hos 8:2 Israel will cry to Me, 'My God, we know You!'(nkjv) ======= Hosea 8:3 ============ Hos 8:3 Israel has rejected the good; The enemy will pursue him.(nasb) Hos 8:3 Projecit Israël bonum: inimicus persequetur eum.(vulgate) Oseas 8:3 Israel ha rechazado el bien; el enemigo lo perseguirá.(E) Osée 8:3 Israël a rejeté le bien; L'ennemi le poursuivra.(F) Hos 8:3 Israel verwirft das Gute; darum muß sie der Feind verfolgen.(D) Hos 8:3 ὅτι Ισραηλ ἀπεστρέψατο ἀγαθά ἐχθρὸν κατεδίωξαν(lxx) Hos 8:3 Israel has rejected the good; The enemy will pursue him.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 8:4 ============ Hos 8:4 They have set up kings, but not by Me; They have appointed princes, but I did not know it. With their silver and gold they have made idols for themselves, That they might be cut off.(nasb) Hos 8:4 Ipsi regnaverunt, et non ex me; principes exstiterunt, et non cognovi: argentum suum et aurum suum fecerunt sibi idola, ut interirent.(vulgate) Oseas 8:4 Ellos hicieron reyes, mas no de parte mía; constituyeron príncipes, mas yo no [lo] supe: de su plata y de su oro hicieron ídolos para sí, para ser talados.(E) Osée 8:4 Ils ont établi des rois sans mon ordre, Et des chefs à mon insu; Ils ont fait des idoles avec leur argent et leur or; C'est pourquoi ils seront anéantis.(F) Hos 8:4 Sie machen Könige, aber ohne mich; sie setzen Fürsten, und ich darf es nicht wissen. Aus ihrem Silber und Gold machen sie Götzen, daß sie ja bald ausgerottet werden.(D) Hos 8:4 ἑαυτοῖς ἐβασίλευσαν καὶ οὐ δι᾽ ἐμοῦ ἦρξαν καὶ οὐκ ἐγνώρισάν μοι τὸ ἀργύριον αὐτῶν καὶ τὸ χρυσίον αὐτῶν ἐποίησαν ἑαυτοῖς εἴδωλα ὅπως ἐξολεθρευθῶσιν(lxx) Hos 8:4 "They set up kings, but not by Me; They made princes, but I did not acknowledge them. From their silver and gold They made idols for themselves-- That they might be cut off.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 8:5 ============ Hos 8:5 He has rejected your calf, O Samaria, saying, "My anger burns against them!" How long will they be incapable of innocence?(nasb) Hos 8:5 Projectus est vitulus tuus, Samaria; iratus est furor meus in eos. Usquequo non poterunt emundari?(vulgate) Oseas 8:5 Tu becerro, oh Samaria, te hizo alejar; se encendió mi enojo contra ellos, hasta que no pudieron alcanzar inocencia.(E) Osée 8:5 L'Eternel a rejeté ton veau, Samarie! Ma colère s'est enflammée contre eux. Jusques à quand refuseront-ils de se purifier?(F) Hos 8:5 Dein Kalb, Samaria, verwirft er; mein Zorn ist über sie ergrimmt. Es kann nicht lange anstehen, sie müssen gestraft werden.(D) Hos 8:5 ἀπότριψαι τὸν μόσχον σου Σαμάρεια παρωξύνθη ὁ θυμός μου ἐπ᾽ αὐτούς ἕως τίνος οὐ μὴ δύνωνται καθαρισθῆναι(lxx) Hos 8:5 Your calf is rejected, O Samaria! My anger is aroused against them-- How long until they attain to innocence?(nkjv) ======= Hosea 8:6 ============ Hos 8:6 For from Israel is even this! A craftsman made it, so it is not God; Surely the calf of Samaria will be broken to pieces.(nasb) Hos 8:6 Quia ex Israël et ipse est: artifex fecit illum, et non est deus; quoniam in aranearum telas erit vitulus Samariæ.(vulgate) Oseas 8:6 Porque de Israel [es], y artífice lo hizo; que no es Dios; por lo que en pedazos será deshecho el becerro de Samaria.(E) Osée 8:6 Il vient d'Israël, un ouvrier l'a fabriqué, Et ce n'est pas un Dieu; C'est pourquoi le veau de Samarie sera mis en pièces.(F) Hos 8:6 Denn das Kalb ist aus Israel hergekommen, und ein Werkmann hat's gemacht, und es kann ja kein Gott sein; darum soll das Kalb Samarias zerpulvert werden.(D) Hos 8:6 ἐν τῷ Ισραηλ καὶ αὐτὸ τέκτων ἐποίησεν καὶ οὐ θεός ἐστιν διότι πλανῶν ἦν ὁ μόσχος σου Σαμάρεια(lxx) Hos 8:6 For from Israel is even this: A workman made it, and it is not God; But the calf of Samaria shall be broken to pieces.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 8:7 ============ Hos 8:7 For they sow the wind And they reap the whirlwind. The standing grain has no heads; It yields no grain. Should it yield, strangers would swallow it up.(nasb) Hos 8:7 Quia ventum seminabunt, et turbinem metent: culmus stans non est in eo; germen non faciet farinam: quod etsi fecerit, alieni comedent eam.(vulgate) Oseas 8:7 Porque sembraron viento, torbellino segarán; no tendrán mies, y la espiga no dará harina; y si la diere, extraños la tragarán.(E) Osée 8:7 Puisqu'ils ont semé du vent, ils moissonneront la tempête; Ils n'auront pas un épi de blé; Ce qui poussera ne donnera point de farine, Et s'il y en avait, des étrangers la dévoreraient.(F) Hos 8:7 Denn sie säen Wind und werden Ungewitter einernten; ihre Saat soll nicht aufkommen und ihr Gewächs kein Mehl geben; und ob's geben würde, sollen's doch Fremde fressen.(D) Hos 8:7 ὅτι ἀνεμόφθορα ἔσπειραν καὶ ἡ καταστροφὴ αὐτῶν ἐκδέξεται αὐτά δράγμα οὐκ ἔχον ἰσχὺν τοῦ ποιῆσαι ἄλευρον ἐὰν δὲ καὶ ποιήσῃ ἀλλότριοι καταφάγονται αὐτό(lxx) Hos 8:7 "They sow the wind, And reap the whirlwind. The stalk has no bud; It shall never produce meal. If it should produce, Aliens would swallow it up.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 8:8 ============ Hos 8:8 Israel is swallowed up; They are now among the nations Like a vessel in which no one delights.(nasb) Hos 8:8 Devoratus est Israël; nunc factus est in nationibus quasi vas immundum.(vulgate) Oseas 8:8 Será devorado Israel; ahora serán entre los gentiles como vaso en que no [hay] placer.(E) Osée 8:8 Israël est anéanti! Ils sont maintenant parmi les nations Comme un vase qui n'a pas de prix.(F) Hos 8:8 Israel wird aufgefressen; die Heiden gehen mit ihnen um wie mit einem unwerten Gefäß,(D) Hos 8:8 κατεπόθη Ισραηλ νῦν ἐγένετο ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν ὡς σκεῦος ἄχρηστον(lxx) Hos 8:8 Israel is swallowed up; Now they are among the Gentiles Like a vessel in which is no pleasure.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 8:9 ============ Hos 8:9 For they have gone up to Assyria, Like a wild donkey all alone; Ephraim has hired lovers.(nasb) Hos 8:9 Quia ipsi ascenderunt ad Assur, onager solitarius sibi; Ephraim munera dederunt amatoribus.(vulgate) Oseas 8:9 Porque ellos subieron a Asiria, [como] asno montés por sí solo: Efraín con salario alquiló amantes.(E) Osée 8:9 Car ils sont allés en Assyrie, Comme un âne sauvage qui se tient à l'écart; Ephraïm a fait des présents pour avoir des amis.(F) Hos 8:9 darum daß sie hinauf zum Assur laufen wie ein Wild in der Irre. Ephraim schenkt den Buhlern und gibt den Heiden Tribut.(D) Hos 8:9 ὅτι αὐτοὶ ἀνέβησαν εἰς Ἀσσυρίους ἀνέθαλεν καθ᾽ ἑαυτὸν Εφραιμ δῶρα ἠγάπησαν(lxx) Hos 8:9 For they have gone up to Assyria, Like a wild donkey alone by itself; Ephraim has hired lovers.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 8:10 ============ Hos 8:10 Even though they hire allies among the nations, Now I will gather them up; And they will begin to diminish Because of the burden of the king of princes.(nasb) Hos 8:10 Sed et cum mercede conduxerint nationes, nunc congregabo eos, et quiescent paulisper ab onere regis et principum.(vulgate) Oseas 8:10 Aunque alquilen entre las naciones, ahora los juntaré; y serán afligidos un poco por la carga del rey y de los príncipes.(E) Osée 8:10 Quand même ils font des présents parmi les nations, Je vais maintenant les rassembler, Et bientôt ils souffriront sous le fardeau du roi des princes.(F) Hos 8:10 Dieselben Heiden will ich nun über sie sammeln; sie sollen der Last des Königs der Fürsten bald müde werden.(D) Hos 8:10 διὰ τοῦτο παραδοθήσονται ἐν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν νῦν εἰσδέξομαι αὐτούς καὶ κοπάσουσιν μικρὸν τοῦ χρίειν βασιλέα καὶ ἄρχοντας(lxx) Hos 8:10 Yes, though they have hired among the nations, Now I will gather them; And they shall sorrow a little, Because of the burden of the king of princes.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 8:11 ============ Hos 8:11 Since Ephraim has multiplied altars for sin, They have become altars of sinning for him.(nasb) Hos 8:11 Quia multiplicavit Ephraim altaria ad peccandum; factæ sunt ei aræ in delictum.(vulgate) Oseas 8:11 Porque Efraín multiplicó altares para pecar, altares para pecar tendrá.(E) Osée 8:11 Ephraïm a multiplié les autels pour pécher, Et ces autels l'ont fait tomber dans le péché.(F) Hos 8:11 Denn Ephraim hat der Altäre viel gemacht zu sündigen; so sollen auch die Altäre ihm zur Sünde geraten.(D) Hos 8:11 ὅτι ἐπλήθυνεν Εφραιμ θυσιαστήρια εἰς ἁμαρτίας ἐγένοντο αὐτῷ θυσιαστήρια ἠγαπημένα(lxx) Hos 8:11 "Because Ephraim has made many altars for sin, They have become for him altars for sinning.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 8:12 ============ Hos 8:12 Though I wrote for him ten thousand precepts of My law, They are regarded as a strange thing.(nasb) Hos 8:12 Scribam ei multiplices leges meas, quæ velut alienæ computatæ sunt.(vulgate) Oseas 8:12 Yo escribí para él cosas grandes de mi ley, [pero] fueron tenidas como cosa extraña.(E) Osée 8:12 Que j'écrive pour lui toutes les ordonnances de ma loi, Elles sont regardées comme quelque chose d'étranger.(F) Hos 8:12 Wenn ich ihm gleich viel tausend Gebote meines Gesetzes schreibe, so wird's geachtet wie eine Fremde Lehre.(D) Hos 8:12 καταγράψω αὐτῷ πλῆθος καὶ τὰ νόμιμα αὐτοῦ εἰς ἀλλότρια ἐλογίσθησαν θυσιαστήρια τὰ ἠγαπημένα(lxx) Hos 8:12 I have written for him the great things of My law, But they were considered a strange thing.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 8:13 ============ Hos 8:13 As for My sacrificial gifts, They sacrifice the flesh and eat it, But the Lord has taken no delight in them. Now He will remember their iniquity, And punish them for their sins; They will return to Egypt.(nasb) Hos 8:13 Hostias offerent, immolabunt carnes et comedent, et Dominus non suscipiet eas: nunc recordabitur iniquitatis eorum, et visitabit peccata eorum: ipsi in Ægyptum convertentur.(vulgate) Oseas 8:13 Para los sacrificios de mis ofrendas sacrificaron carne, y se la comieron, [pero] no los aceptó Jehová; ahora se acordará de su iniquidad y visitará su pecado; ellos volverán a Egipto.(E) Osée 8:13 Ils immolent des victimes qu'ils m'offrent, Et ils en mangent la chair: L'Eternel n'y prend point de plaisir. Maintenant l'Eternel se souvient de leur iniquité, Et il punira leurs péchés: Ils retourneront en Egypte.(F) Hos 8:13 Ob sie schon viel opfern und Fleisch herbringen und essen's, so hat doch der HERR kein Gefallen an ihnen; sondern er will ihrer Missetat gedenken und ihre Sünden heimsuchen; sie sollen wieder nach Ägypten kommen!(D) Hos 8:13 διότι ἐὰν θύσωσιν θυσίαν καὶ φάγωσιν κρέα κύριος οὐ προσδέξεται αὐτά νῦν μνησθήσεται τὰς ἀδικίας αὐτῶν καὶ ἐκδικήσει τὰς ἁμαρτίας αὐτῶν αὐτοὶ εἰς Αἴγυπτον ἀπέστρεψαν καὶ ἐν Ἀσσυρίοις ἀκάθαρτα φάγονται(lxx) Hos 8:13 For the sacrifices of My offerings they sacrifice flesh and eat it, But the Lord does not accept them. Now He will remember their iniquity and punish their sins. They shall return to Egypt.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 8:14 ============ Hos 8:14 For Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces; And Judah has multiplied fortified cities, But I will send a fire on its cities that it may consume its palatial dwellings.(nasb) Hos 8:14 Et oblitus est Israël factoris sui, et ædificavit delubra; et Judas multiplicavit urbes munitas; et mittam ignem in civitates ejus, et devorabit ædes illius.](vulgate) Oseas 8:14 Israel se ha olvidado de su Hacedor y ha edificado templos; y Judá ha multiplicado ciudades fortificadas; pero yo enviaré fuego a sus ciudades, el cual devorará sus palacios.(E) Osée 8:14 Israël a oublié celui qui l'a fait, Et a bâti des palais, Et Juda a multiplié les villes fortes; Mais j'enverrai le feu dans leurs villes, Et il en dévorera les palais.(F) Hos 8:14 Israel vergißt seines Schöpfers und baut Paläste; so macht Juda viel feste Städte; aber ich will Feuer in seine Städte schicken, welches soll seine Häuser verzehren.(D) Hos 8:14 καὶ ἐπελάθετο Ισραηλ τοῦ ποιήσαντος αὐτὸν καὶ ᾠκοδόμησαν τεμένη καὶ Ιουδας ἐπλήθυνεν πόλεις τετειχισμένας καὶ ἐξαποστελῶ πῦρ εἰς τὰς πόλεις αὐτοῦ καὶ καταφάγεται τὰ θεμέλια αὐτῶν(lxx) Hos 8:14 "For Israel has forgotten his Maker, And has built temples; Judah also has multiplied fortified cities; But I will send fire upon his cities, And it shall devour his palaces."(nkjv) ======= Hosea 9:1 ============ top of the page
