Moreover, he makes a covenant with Assyria, And oil is carried to Egypt.(nasb) Hos 12:1 [Ephraim pascit ventum, et sequitur æstum; tota die mendacium et vastitatem multiplicat: et fœdus cum Assyriis iniit, et oleum in Ægyptum ferebat.(vulgate) Oseas 12:1 Efraín se apacienta de viento, y sigue al viento solano; mentira y destrucción aumenta continuamente; porque hicieron alianza con los asirios, y el aceite es llevado a Egipto.(E) Osée 12:1 Ephraïm se repaît de vent, et poursuit le vent d'orient; Chaque jour il multiplie le mensonge et la violence; Il fait alliance avec l'Assyrie, Et on porte de l'huile en Egypte.(F) Hos 12:1 Ephraim weidet sich am Winde und läuft dem Ostwind nach und macht täglich der Abgötterei und des Schadens mehr; sie machen mit Assur einen Bund und bringen Balsam nach Ägypten.(D) Hos 12:1 ὁ δὲ Εφραιμ πονηρὸν πνεῦμα ἐδίωξεν καύσωνα ὅλην τὴν ἡμέραν κενὰ καὶ μάταια ἐπλήθυνεν καὶ διαθήκην μετὰ Ἀσσυρίων διέθετο καὶ ἔλαιον εἰς Αἴγυπτον ἐνεπορεύετο(lxx) Hos 12:1 "Ephraim feeds on the wind, And pursues the east wind; He daily increases lies and desolation. Also they make a covenant with the Assyrians, And oil is carried to Egypt.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 12:2 ============ Hos 12:2 The Lord also has a dispute with Judah, And will punish Jacob according to his ways; He will repay him according to his deeds.(nasb) Hos 12:2 Judicium ergo Domini cum Juda, et visitatio super Jacob: juxta vias ejus, et juxta adinventiones ejus reddet ei.(vulgate) Oseas 12:2 Pleito tiene Jehová con Judá para castigar a Jacob conforme a sus caminos: le pagará conforme a sus obras.(E) Osée 12:2 L'Eternel est aussi en contestation avec Juda, Et il punira Jacob pour sa conduite, Il lui rendra selon ses oeuvres.(F) Hos 12:2 Darum wird der HERR mit Juda rechten und Jakob heimsuchen nach seinem Wesen und ihm vergelten nach seinem Verdienst.(D) Hos 12:2 καὶ κρίσις τῷ κυρίῳ πρὸς Ιουδαν τοῦ ἐκδικῆσαι τὸν Ιακωβ κατὰ τὰς ὁδοὺς αὐτοῦ καὶ κατὰ τὰ ἐπιτηδεύματα αὐτοῦ ἀνταποδώσει αὐτῷ(lxx) Hos 12:2 "The Lord also brings a charge against Judah, And will punish Jacob according to his ways; According to his deeds He will recompense him.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 12:3 ============ Hos 12:3 In the womb he took his brother by the heel, And in his maturity he contended with God.(nasb) Hos 12:3 In utero supplantavit fratrem suum, et in fortitudine sua directus est cum angelo.(vulgate) Oseas 12:3 En el vientre tomó por el calcañar a su hermano, y con su poder luchó con Dios.(E) Osée 12:3 Dans le sein maternel Jacob saisit son frère par le talon, Et dans sa vigueur, il lutta avec Dieu.(F) Hos 12:3 Er hat in Mutterleibe seinen Bruder an der Ferse gehalten, und in seiner Kraft hat er mit Gott gekämpft.(D) Hos 12:3 ἐν τῇ κοιλίᾳ ἐπτέρνισεν τὸν ἀδελφὸν αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐν κόποις αὐτοῦ ἐνίσχυσεν πρὸς θεὸν(lxx) Hos 12:3 He took his brother by the heel in the womb, And in his strength he struggled with God.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 12:4 ============ Hos 12:4 Yes, he wrestled with the angel and prevailed; He wept and sought His favor. He found Him at Bethel And there He spoke with us,(nasb) Hos 12:4 Et invaluit ad angelum, et confortatus est; flevit, et rogavit eum. In Bethel invenit eum, et ibi locutus est nobiscum.(vulgate) Oseas 12:4 Sí, luchó con el Ángel, y prevaleció; lloró, y le rogó; en Betel le encontró, y allí habló con nosotros.(E) Osée 12:4 Il lutta avec l'ange, et il fut vainqueur, Il pleura, et lui adressa des supplications. Jacob l'avait trouvé à Béthel, Et c'est là que Dieu nous a parlé.(F) Hos 12:4 Er kämpfte mit dem Engel und siegte, denn er weinte und bat ihn; auch hat er ihn ja zu Beth-El gefunden, und daselbst hat er mit uns geredet.(D) Hos 12:4 καὶ ἐνίσχυσεν μετὰ ἀγγέλου καὶ ἠδυνάσθη ἔκλαυσαν καὶ ἐδεήθησάν μου ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ Ων εὕροσάν με καὶ ἐκεῖ ἐλαλήθη πρὸς αὐτόν(lxx) Hos 12:4 Yes, he struggled with the Angel and prevailed; He wept, and sought favor from Him. He found Him in Bethel, And there He spoke to us--(nkjv) ======= Hosea 12:5 ============ Hos 12:5 Even the Lord, the God of hosts, The Lord is His name.(nasb) Hos 12:5 Et Dominus Deus exercituum, Dominus memoriale ejus.(vulgate) Oseas 12:5 Mas Jehová es Dios de los ejércitos: Jehová [es] su memorial.(E) Osée 12:5 L'Eternel est le Dieu des armées; Son nom est l'Eternel.(F) Hos 12:5 Aber der HERR ist der Gott Zebaoth; HERR ist sein Name.(D) Hos 12:5 ὁ δὲ κύριος ὁ θεὸς ὁ παντοκράτωρ ἔσται μνημόσυνον αὐτοῦ(lxx) Hos 12:5 That is, the Lord God of hosts. The Lord is His memorable name.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 12:6 ============ Hos 12:6 Therefore, return to your God, Observe kindness and justice, And wait for your God continually.(nasb) Hos 12:6 Et tu ad Deum tuum converteris; misericordiam et judicium custodi, et spera in Deo tuo semper.(vulgate) Oseas 12:6 Tú, pues, vuélvete a tu Dios; guarda misericordia y juicio, y en tu Dios espera siempre.(E) Osée 12:6 Et toi, reviens à ton Dieu, Garde la piété et la justice, Et espère toujours en ton Dieu.(F) Hos 12:6 So bekehre dich nun zu deinem Gott, und halte Barmherzigkeit und Recht und hoffe stets auf deinen Gott.(D) Hos 12:6 καὶ σὺ ἐν θεῷ σου ἐπιστρέψεις ἔλεον καὶ κρίμα φυλάσσου καὶ ἔγγιζε πρὸς τὸν θεόν σου διὰ παντός(lxx) Hos 12:6 So you, by the help of your God, return; Observe mercy and justice, And wait on your God continually.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 12:7 ============ Hos 12:7 A merchant, in whose hands are false balances, He loves to oppress.(nasb) Hos 12:7 Chanaan, in manu ejus statera dolosa, calumniam dilexit.(vulgate) Oseas 12:7 Es mercader que tiene en su mano peso falso, amador de opresión.(E) Osée 12:7 Ephraïm est un marchand qui a dans sa main des balances fausses, Il aime à tromper.(F) Hos 12:7 Aber Kanaan hat eine falsche Waage in seiner Hand und betrügt gern.(D) Hos 12:7 Χανααν ἐν χειρὶ αὐτοῦ ζυγὸς ἀδικίας καταδυναστεύειν ἠγάπησε(lxx) Hos 12:7 "A cunning Canaanite! Deceitful scales are in his hand; He loves to oppress.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 12:8 ============ Hos 12:8 And Ephraim said, "Surely I have become rich, I have found wealth for myself; In all my labors they will find in me No iniquity, which would be sin."(nasb) Hos 12:8 Et dixit Ephraim: Verumtamen dives effectus sum; inveni idolum mihi: omnes labores mei non invenient mihi iniquitatem quam peccavi.(vulgate) Oseas 12:8 Y dijo Efraín: Ciertamente yo he enriquecido, he hallado riquezas para mí: nadie hallará en mí iniquidad, ni pecado en todos mis trabajos.(E) Osée 12:8 Et Ephraïm dit: A la vérité, je me suis enrichi, J'ai acquis de la fortune; Mais c'est entièrement le produit de mon travail; On ne trouvera chez moi aucune iniquité, rien qui soit un crime.(F) Hos 12:8 Und Ephraim spricht: Ich bin reich, ich habe genug; man wird in aller meiner Arbeit keine Missetat finden, die Sünde sei.(D) Hos 12:8 καὶ εἶπεν Εφραιμ πλὴν πεπλούτηκα εὕρηκα ἀναψυχὴν ἐμαυτῷ πάντες οἱ πόνοι αὐτοῦ οὐχ εὑρεθήσονται αὐτῷ δι᾽ ἀδικίας ἃς ἥμαρτεν(lxx) Hos 12:8 And Ephraim said, 'Surely I have become rich, I have found wealth for myself; In all my labors They shall find in me no iniquity that is sin.'(nkjv) ======= Hosea 12:9 ============ Hos 12:9 But I have been the Lord your God since the land of Egypt; I will make you live in tents again, As in the days of the appointed festival.(nasb) Hos 12:9 Et ego Dominus Deus tuus ex terra Ægypti: adhuc sedere te faciam in tabernaculis, sicut in diebus festivitatis.(vulgate) Oseas 12:9 Pero yo [soy] Jehová tu Dios desde la tierra de Egipto; aún te haré morar en tiendas, como en los días de la fiesta solemne.(E) Osée 12:9 Et moi, je suis l'Eternel, ton Dieu, dès le pays d'Egypte; Je te ferai encore habiter sous des tentes, comme aux jours de fêtes.(F) Hos 12:9 Ich aber, der HERR, bin dein Gott aus Ägyptenland her, und der dich noch in den Hütten wohnen läßt, wie man zur Festzeit pflegt,(D) Hos 12:9 ἐγὼ δὲ κύριος ὁ θεός σου ἀνήγαγόν σε ἐκ γῆς Αἰγύπτου ἔτι κατοικιῶ σε ἐν σκηναῖς καθὼς ἡμέρᾳ ἑορτῆς(lxx) Hos 12:9 "But I am the Lord your God, Ever since the land of Egypt; I will again make you dwell in tents, As in the days of the appointed feast.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 12:10 ============ Hos 12:10 I have also spoken to the prophets, And I gave numerous visions, And through the prophets I gave parables.(nasb) Hos 12:10 Et locutus sum super prophetas, et ego visionem multiplicavi, et in manu prophetarum assimilatus sum.(vulgate) Oseas 12:10 Y he hablado a los profetas, y yo aumenté la profecía, y por medio de los profetas puse semejanzas.(E) Osée 12:10 J'ai parlé aux prophètes, J'ai multiplié les visions, Et par les prophètes j'ai proposé des paraboles.(F) Hos 12:10 und rede zu den Propheten; und ich bin's, der so viel Weissagung gibt und durch die Propheten sich anzeigt.(D) Hos 12:10 καὶ λαλήσω πρὸς προφήτας καὶ ἐγὼ ὁράσεις ἐπλήθυνα καὶ ἐν χερσὶν προφητῶν ὡμοιώθην(lxx) Hos 12:10 I have also spoken by the prophets, And have multiplied visions; I have given symbols through the witness of the prophets."(nkjv) ======= Hosea 12:11 ============ Hos 12:11 Is there iniquity in Gilead? Surely they are worthless. In Gilgal they sacrifice bulls, Yes, their altars are like the stone heaps Beside the furrows of the field.(nasb) Hos 12:11 Si Galaad idolum, ergo frustra erant in Galgal bobus immolantes; nam et altaria eorum quasi acervi super sulcos agri.(vulgate) Oseas 12:11 ¿[Hay] iniquidad [en] Galaad? Ciertamente vanidad han sido; en Gilgal sacrificaron bueyes; y aún sus altares son como montones en los surcos del campo.(E) Osée 12:11 Si Galaad n'est que néant, ils seront certainement anéantis. Ils sacrifient des boeufs dans Guilgal: Aussi leurs autels seront comme des monceaux de pierres Sur les sillons des champs.(F) Hos 12:11 In Gilead ist Abgötterei, darum werden sie zunichte; und in Gilgal opfern sie Ochsen, darum sollen ihre Altäre werden wie die Steinhaufen an den Furchen im Felde.(D) Hos 12:11 εἰ μὴ Γαλααδ ἔστιν ἄρα ψευδεῖς ἦσαν ἐν Γαλγαλ ἄρχοντες θυσιάζοντες καὶ τὰ θυσιαστήρια αὐτῶν ὡς χελῶναι ἐπὶ χέρσον ἀγροῦ(lxx) Hos 12:11 Though Gilead has idols-- Surely they are vanity-- Though they sacrifice bulls in Gilgal, Indeed their altars shall be heaps in the furrows of the field.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 12:12 ============ Hos 12:12 Now Jacob fled to the land of Aram, And Israel worked for a wife, And for a wife he kept sheep.(nasb) Hos 12:12 Fugit Jacob in regionem Syriæ, et servivit Israël in uxorem, et in uxorem servavit.(vulgate) Oseas 12:12 Mas Jacob huyó a la tierra de Aram, y sirvió Israel por esposa, y por esposa fue pastor.(E) Osée 12:12 Jacob s'enfuit au pays d'Aram, Israël servit pour une femme, Et pour une femme il garda les troupeaux.(F) Hos 12:12 Jakob mußte fliehen in das Land Syrien, und Israel mußte um ein Weib dienen, und um ein Weib mußte er hüten.(D) Hos 12:12 καὶ ἀνεχώρησεν Ιακωβ εἰς πεδίον Συρίας καὶ ἐδούλευσεν Ισραηλ ἐν γυναικὶ καὶ ἐν γυναικὶ ἐφυλάξατο(lxx) Hos 12:12 Jacob fled to the country of Syria; Israel served for a spouse, And for a wife he tended sheep.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 12:13 ============ Hos 12:13 But by a prophet the Lord brought Israel from Egypt, And by a prophet he was kept.(nasb) Hos 12:13 In propheta autem eduxit Dominus Israël de Ægypto, et in propheta servatus est.(vulgate) Oseas 12:13 Y por un profeta hizo subir Jehová a Israel de Egipto, y por un profeta fue preservado.(E) Osée 12:13 Par un prophète l'Eternel fit monter Israël hors d'Egypte, Et par un prophète Israël fut gardé.(F) Hos 12:13 Aber hernach führte der HERR Israel aus Ägypten durch einen Propheten und ließ ihn hüten durch einen Propheten.(D) Hos 12:13 καὶ ἐν προφήτῃ ἀνήγαγεν κύριος τὸν Ισραηλ ἐξ Αἰγύπτου καὶ ἐν προφήτῃ διεφυλάχθη(lxx) Hos 12:13 By a prophet the Lord brought Israel out of Egypt, And by a prophet he was preserved.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 12:14 ============ Hos 12:14 Ephraim has provoked to bitter anger; So his Lord will leave his bloodguilt on him And bring back his reproach to him.(nasb) Hos 12:14 Ad iracundiam me provocavit Ephraim in amaritudinibus suis: et sanguis ejus super eum veniet, et opprobrium ejus restituet ei Dominus suus.](vulgate) Oseas 12:14 Efraín ha provocado [a Dios] con amarguras; por tanto, su sangre se derramará sobre él, y su Señor le pagará su oprobio.(E) Osée 12:14 Ephraïm a irrité l'Eternel amèrement: Son Seigneur rejettera sur lui le sang qu'il a répandu, Il fera retomber sur lui la honte qui lui appartient.(F) Hos 12:14 Nun aber erzürnt ihn Ephraim durch seine Götzen; darum wird ihr Blut über sie kommen, und ihr HERR wird ihnen vergelten ihre Schmach, die sie ihm antun.(D) Hos 12:14 ἐθύμωσεν Εφραιμ καὶ παρώργισεν καὶ τὸ αἷμα αὐτοῦ ἐπ᾽ αὐτὸν ἐκχυθήσεται καὶ τὸν ὀνειδισμὸν αὐτοῦ ἀνταποδώσει αὐτῷ κύριος(lxx) Hos 12:14 Ephraim provoked Him to anger most bitterly; Therefore his Lord will leave the guilt of his bloodshed upon him, And return his reproach upon him.(nkjv) ======= Hosea 13:1 ============ top of the page
