And in you all the families of the earth will be blessed."(nasb) ======= Genesis 12:4 ============ Gen 12:4 So Abram departed, as the LORD had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him: and Abram was seventy and five years old when he departed out of Haran.(KJV) Genesis 12:4 So Abram departed, euen as ye Lorde spake vnto him, and Lot went with him. Now Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.(nasb) ======= Genesis 12:5 ============ Gen 12:5 And Abram took Sarai his wife, and Lot his brother's son, and all their substance that they had gathered, and the souls that they had gotten in Haran; and they went forth to go into the land of Canaan; and into the land of Canaan they came.(KJV) Genesis 12:5 Then Abram tooke Sarai his wife, & Lot his brothers sonne, and all their substance that they possessed, and the soules that they had gotten in Haran, & they departed, to goe to the land of Canaan: & to the land of Canaan they came.(Geneva) Genèse 12:5 Abram prit Saraï, sa femme, et Lot, fils de son frère, avec tous les biens qu'ils possédaient et les serviteurs qu'ils avaient acquis à Charan. Ils partirent pour aller dans le pays de Canaan, et ils arrivèrent au pays de Canaan.(FR) 5 ׃12 וַיִּקַּ֣ח אַבְרָם֩ אֶת־שָׂרַ֨י אִשְׁתּ֜וֹ וְאֶת־ל֣וֹט בֶּן־אָחִ֗יו וְאֶת־כָּל־רְכוּשָׁם֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר רָכָ֔שׁוּ וְאֶת־הַנֶּ֖פֶשׁ אֲשֶׁר־עָשׂ֣וּ בְחָרָ֑ן וַיֵּצְא֗וּ לָלֶ֙כֶת֙ אַ֣רְצָה כְּנַ֔עַן וַיָּבֹ֖אוּ אַ֥רְצָה כְּנָֽעַן׃ Genesis Gen 12:5 Abram took Sarai his wife and Lot his nephew, and all their possessions which they had accumulated, and the persons which they had acquired in Haran, and they set out for the land of Canaan; thus they came to the land of Canaan.(nasb) ======= Genesis 12:6 ============ Gen 12:6 And Abram passed through the land unto the place of Sichem, unto the plain of Moreh. And the Canaanite was then in the land.(KJV) Genesis 12:6 So Abram passed through the land vnto the place of Shechem, and vnto the plaine of Moreh (and the Canaanite was then in ye land)(Geneva) Genèse 12:6 Abram parcourut le pays jusqu'au lieu nommé Sichem, jusqu'aux chênes de Moré. Les Cananéens étaient alors dans le pays.(FR) 6 ׃12 וַיַּעֲבֹ֤ר אַבְרָם֙ בָּאָ֔רֶץ עַ֚ד מְק֣וֹם שְׁכֶ֔ם עַ֖ד אֵל֣וֹן מוֹרֶ֑ה וְהֽ͏ַכְּנַעֲנִ֖י אָ֥ז בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ Genesis Gen 12:6 Abram passed through the land as far as the site of Shechem, to the oak of Moreh. Now the Canaanite was then in the land.(nasb) ======= Genesis 12:7 ============ Gen 12:7 And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy seed will I give this land: and there builded he an altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.(KJV) Genesis 12:7 And the Lord appeared vnto Abram, and said, Vnto thy seede will I giue this land; there builded he an altar vnto the Lord, which appeared vnto him.(Geneva) Genèse 12:7 L'Eternel apparut à Abram, et dit: Je donnerai ce pays à ta postérité. So he built an altar there to the Lord who had appeared to him.(nasb) ======= Genesis 12:8 ============ Gen 12:8 And he removed from thence unto a mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, having Bethel on the west, and Hai on the east: and there he builded an altar unto the LORD, and called upon the name of the LORD.(KJV) Genesis 12:8 Afterward remouing thence vnto a moutaine Eastward from Beth-el, he pitched his tent hauing Beth-el on the Westside, & Haai on the East: and there he built an altar vnto the Lord, and called on the Name of the Lord.(Geneva) Genèse 12:8 Il se transporta de là vers la montagne, à l'orient de Béthel, et il dressa ses tentes, ayant Béthel à l'occident et Aï à l'orient. Il bâtit encore là un autel à l'Eternel, et il invoqua le nom de l'Eternel.(FR) 8 ׃12 וַיַּעְתֵּ֨ק מִשָּׁ֜ם הָהָ֗רָה מִקֶּ֛דֶם לְבֵֽית־אֵ֖ל וַיֵּ֣ט אָהֳלֹ֑ה בֵּֽית־אֵ֤ל מִיָּם֙ וְהָעַ֣י מִקֶּ֔דֶם וַיִּֽבֶן־שָׁ֤ם מִזְבֵּ֙חַ֙ לֽ͏ַיהוָ֔ה וַיִּקְרָ֖א בְּשֵׁ֥ם יְהוָֽה׃ Genesis Gen 12:8 Then he proceeded from there to the mountain on the east of Bethel, and pitched his tent, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east; and there he built an altar to the Lord and called upon the name of the Lord.(nasb) ======= Genesis 12:9 ============ Gen 12:9 And Abram journeyed, going on still toward the south.(KJV) Genesis 12:9 Againe Abram went forth going & iourneying toward the South.(Geneva) Genèse 12:9 Abram continua ses marches, en s'avançant vers le midi.(FR) 9 ׃12 וַיִּסַּ֣ע אַבְרָ֔ם הָל֥וֹךְ וְנָס֖וֹעַ הַנֶּֽגְבָּה׃ פ Genesis Gen 12:9 Abram journeyed on, continuing toward the Negev.(nasb) ======= Genesis 12:10 ============ Gen 12:10 And there was a famine in the land: and Abram went down into Egypt to sojourn there; for the famine was grievous in the land.(KJV) Genesis 12:10 Then there came a famine in the land: therefore Abram went downe into Egypt to soiourne there: for there was a great famine in the lande.(Geneva) Genèse 12:10 Il y eut une famine dans le pays; et Abram descendit en Egypte pour y séjourner, car la famine était grande dans le pays.(FR) 10 ׃12 וַיְהִ֥י רָעָ֖ב בָּאָ֑רֶץ וַיֵּ֨רֶד אַבְרָ֤ם מִצְרַ֙יְמָה֙ לָג֣וּר שָׁ֔ם כִּֽי־כָבֵ֥ד הָרָעָ֖ב בָּאָֽרֶץ׃ Genesis Gen 12:10 Now there was a famine in the land; so Abram went down to Egypt to sojourn there, for the famine was severe in the land.(nasb) ======= Genesis 12:11 ============ Gen 12:11 And it came to pass, when he was come near to enter into Egypt, that he said unto Sarai his wife, Behold now, I know that thou art a fair woman to look upon:(KJV) Genesis 12:11 And when he drewe neere to enter into Egypt, he said to Sarai his wife, Beholde nowe, I know that thou art a faire woman to looke vpo:(Geneva) Genèse 12:11 Comme il était près d'entrer en Egypte, il dit à Saraï, sa femme: Voici, je sais que tu es une femme belle de figure.(FR) 11 ׃12 וַיְהִ֕י כַּאֲשֶׁ֥ר הִקְרִ֖יב לָב֣וֹא מִצְרָ֑יְמָה וַיֹּ֙אמֶר֙ אֶל־שָׂרַ֣י אִשְׁתּ֔וֹ הִנֵּה־נָ֣א יָדַ֔עְתִּי כִּ֛י אִשָּׁ֥ה יְפַת־מַרְאֶ֖ה אָֽתְּ׃ Genesis Gen 12:11 It came about when he came near to Egypt, that he said to Sarai his wife, "See now, I know that you are a beautiful woman;(nasb) ======= Genesis 12:12 ============ Gen 12:12 Therefore it shall come to pass, when the Egyptians shall see thee, that they shall say, This is his wife: and they will kill me, but they will save thee alive.(KJV) Genesis 12:12 Therefore it will come to passe, that when the Egyptians see thee, they will say, She is his wife: so will they kill me, but they will keepe thee aliue.(Geneva) Genèse 12:12 Quand les Egyptiens te verront, ils diront: C'est sa femme! Why did you not tell me that she was your wife?(nasb) ======= Genesis 12:19 ============ Gen 12:19 Why saidst thou, She is my sister? so I might have taken her to me to wife: now therefore behold thy wife, take her, and go thy way.(KJV) Genesis 12:19 Why saidest thou, She is my sister, that I should take her to be my wife?
