Today's Date: ======= Numbers 11:1 ============ Num 11:1 And when the people complained, it displeased the LORD: and the LORD heard it; and his anger was kindled; and the fire of the LORD burnt among them, and consumed them that were in the uttermost parts of the camp.(KJV) Numbers 11:1 Vvhen the people became murmurers, it displeased the Lorde: and the Lorde heard it, therefore his wrath was kindled, and the fire of the Lorde burnt among them, and consumed the vtmost parte of the hoste.(Geneva) Nombres 11:1 Le peuple murmura et cela déplut aux oreilles de l'Eternel. Lorsque l'Eternel l'entendit, sa colère s'enflamma; le feu de l'Eternel s'alluma parmi eux, et dévora l'extrémité du camp.(FR) 1 ׃11 וַיְהִ֤י הָעָם֙ כְּמִתְאֹ֣נְנִ֔ים רַ֖ע בְּאָזְנֵ֣י יְהוָ֑ה וַיִּשְׁמַ֤ע יְהוָה֙ וַיִּ֣חַר אַפּ֔וֹ וַתִּבְעַר־בָּם֙ אֵ֣שׁ יְהוָ֔ה וַתֹּ֖אכַל בִּקְצֵ֥ה הַֽמַּחֲנֶֽה׃ Numbers Num 11:1 Now the people became like those who complain of adversity in the hearing of the Lord; and when the Lord heard it, His anger was kindled, and the fire of the Lord burned among them and consumed some of the outskirts of the camp.(nasb) ======= Numbers 11:2 ============ Num 11:2 And the people cried unto Moses; and when Moses prayed unto the LORD, the fire was quenched.(KJV) Numbers 11:2 Then the people cryed vnto Moses: and when Moses praied vnto the Lorde, the fire was quenched.(Geneva) Nombres 11:2 Le peuple cria à Moïse. Moïse pria l'Eternel, et le feu s'arrêta.(FR) 2 ׃11 וַיִּצְעַ֥ק הָעָ֖ם אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֑ה וַיִּתְפַּלֵּ֤ל מֹשֶׁה֙ אֶל־יְהוָ֔ה וַתִּשְׁקַ֖ע הָאֵֽשׁ׃ Numbers Num 11:2 The people therefore cried out to Moses, and Moses prayed to the Lord and the fire died out.(nasb) ======= Numbers 11:3 ============ Num 11:3 And he called the name of the place Taberah: because the fire of the LORD burnt among them.(KJV) Numbers 11:3 And he called the name of that place Taberah, because the fire of the Lorde burnt among them.(Geneva) Nombres 11:3 On donna à ce lieu le nom de Tabeéra, parce que le feu de l'Eternel s'était allumé parmi eux.(FR) 3 ׃11 וַיִּקְרָ֛א שֵֽׁם־הַמָּק֥וֹם הַה֖וּא תַּבְעֵרָ֑ה כִּֽי־בָעֲרָ֥ה בָ֖ם אֵ֥שׁ יְהוָֽה׃ Numbers Num 11:3 So the name of that place was called Taberah, because the fire of the Lord burned among them.(nasb) ======= Numbers 11:4 ============ Num 11:4 And the mixt multitude that was among them fell a lusting: and the children of Israel also wept again, and said, Who shall give us flesh to eat?(KJV) Numbers 11:4 And a nomber of people that was amog them, fell a lusting, and turned away, and the children of Israel also wept, and saide, Who shall giue vs flesh to eate?(Geneva) Nombres 11:4 Le ramassis de gens qui se trouvaient au milieu d'Israël fut saisi de convoitise; et même les enfants d'Israël recommencèrent à pleurer et dirent: Qui nous donnera de la viande à manger?(FR) 4 ׃11 וְהָֽאסַפְסֻף֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר בְּקִרְבּ֔וֹ הִתְאַוּ֖וּ תַּאֲוָ֑ה וַיָּשֻׁ֣בוּ וַיִּבְכּ֗וּ גַּ֚ם בְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל וַיֹּ֣אמְר֔וּ מִ֥י יַאֲכִלֵ֖נוּ בָּשָֽׂר׃ Numbers Num 11:4 The rabble who were among them had greedy desires; and also the sons of Israel wept again and said, "Who will give us meat to eat?(nasb) ======= Numbers 11:5 ============ Num 11:5 We remember the fish, which we did eat in Egypt freely; the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlick:(KJV) Numbers 11:5 We remember the fish which we did eat in Egypt for nought, the cucumbers, & the pepons, and the leekes, and the onions, and the garleke.(Geneva) Nombres 11:5 Nous nous souvenons des poissons que nous mangions en Egypte, et qui ne nous coûtaient rien, des concombres, des melons, des poireaux, des oignons et des aulx.(FR) 5 ׃11 זָכַ֙רְנוּ֙ אֶת־הַדָּגָ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־נֹאכַ֥ל בְּמִצְרַ֖יִם חִנָּ֑ם אֵ֣ת הַקִּשֻּׁאִ֗ים וְאֵת֙ הָֽאֲבַטִּחִ֔ים וְאֶת־הֶחָצִ֥יר וְאֶת־הַבְּצָלִ֖ים וְאֶת־הַשּׁוּמִֽים׃ Numbers Num 11:5 We remember the fish which we used to eat free in Egypt, the cucumbers and the melons and the leeks and the onions and the garlic,(nasb) ======= Numbers 11:6 ============ Num 11:6 But now our soul is dried away: there is nothing at all, beside this manna, before our eyes.(KJV) Numbers 11:6 But now our soule is dryed away, we can see nothing but this Man.(Geneva) Nombres 11:6 Maintenant, notre âme est desséchée: plus rien! Nos yeux ne voient que de la manne.(FR) 6 ׃11 וְעַתָּ֛ה נַפְשֵׁ֥נוּ יְבֵשָׁ֖ה אֵ֣ין כֹּ֑ל בִּלְתִּ֖י אֶל־הַמָּ֥ן עֵינֵֽינוּ׃ Numbers Num 11:6 but now our appetite is gone. Elle avait le goût d'un gâteau à l'huile.(FR) 8 ׃11 שָׁטוּ֩ הָעָ֨ם וְלָֽקְט֜וּ וְטָחֲנ֣וּ בָרֵחַ֗יִם א֤וֹ דָכוּ֙ בַּמְּדֹכָ֔ה וּבִשְּׁלוּ֙ בַּפָּר֔וּר וְעָשׂ֥וּ אֹת֖וֹ עֻג֑וֹת וְהָיָ֣ה טַעְמ֔וֹ כְּטַ֖עַם לְשַׁ֥ד הַשָּֽׁמֶן׃ Numbers Num 11:8 The people would go about and gather it and grind it between two millstones or beat it in the mortar, and boil it in the pot and make cakes with it; and its taste was as the taste of cakes baked with oil.(nasb) ======= Numbers 11:9 ============ Num 11:9 And when the dew fell upon the camp in the night, the manna fell upon it.(KJV) Numbers 11:9 And when the dewe fell downe vpon the hoste in the night, the Man fell with it)(Geneva) Nombres 11:9 Quand la rosée descendait la nuit sur le camp, la manne y descendait aussi.(FR) 9 ׃11 וּבְרֶ֧דֶת הַטַּ֛ל עַל־הַֽמַּחֲנֶ֖ה לָ֑יְלָה יֵרֵ֥ד הַמָּ֖ן עָלָֽיו׃ Numbers Num 11:9 When the dew fell on the camp at night, the manna would fall with it. Moïse fut attristé,(FR) 10 ׃11 וַיִּשְׁמַ֨ע מֹשֶׁ֜ה אֶת־הָעָ֗ם בֹּכֶה֙ לְמִשְׁפְּחֹתָ֔יו אִ֖ישׁ לְפֶ֣תַח אָהֳל֑וֹ וַיִּֽחַר־אַ֤ף יְהוָה֙ מְאֹ֔ד וּבְעֵינֵ֥י מֹשֶׁ֖ה רָֽע׃ Numbers Num 11:10 Now Moses heard the people weeping throughout their families, each man at the doorway of his tent; and the anger of the Lord was kindled greatly, and Moses was displeased.(nasb) ======= Numbers 11:11 ============ Num 11:11 And Moses said unto the LORD, Wherefore hast thou afflicted thy servant? and wherefore have I not found favour in thy sight, that thou layest the burden of all this people upon me?(KJV) Numbers 11:11 And Moses saide vnto the Lorde, Wherefore hast thou vexed thy seruant? And why haue I not found fauour in thy sight, seeing thou hast put the charge of al this people vpon mee?(Geneva) Nombres 11:11 et il dit à l'Eternel: Pourquoi affliges-tu ton serviteur, et pourquoi n'ai-je pas trouvé grâce à tes yeux, que tu aies mis sur moi la charge de tout ce peuple?(FR) 11 ׃11 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר מֹשֶׁ֜ה אֶל־יְהוָ֗ה לָמָ֤ה הֲרֵעֹ֙תָ֙ לְעַבְדֶּ֔ךָ וְלָ֛מָּה לֹא־מָצָ֥תִי חֵ֖ן בְּעֵינֶ֑יךָ לָשׂ֗וּם אֶת־מַשָּׂ֛א כָּל־הָעָ֥ם הַזֶּ֖ה עָלָֽי׃ Numbers Num 11:11 So Moses said to the Lord, "Why have You been so hard on Your servant? And why have I not found favor in Your sight, that You have laid the burden of all this people on me?(nasb) ======= Numbers 11:12 ============ Num 11:12 Have I conceived all this people? have I begotten them, that thou shouldest say unto me, Carry them in thy bosom, as a nursing father beareth the sucking child, unto the land which thou swarest unto their fathers?(KJV) Numbers 11:12 Haue I conceiued al this people? Or haue I begotte them, that thou shouldest say vnto me, Cary them in thy bosome (as a nurse beareth the sucking childe) vnto the lande, for the which thou swarest vnto their fathers?(Geneva) Nombres 11:12 Est-ce moi qui ai conçu ce peuple? est-ce moi qui l'ai enfanté, pour que tu me dises: Porte-le sur ton sein, comme le nourricier porte un enfant, jusqu'au pays que tu as juré à ses pères de lui donner?(FR) 12 ׃11 הֶאָנֹכִ֣י הָרִ֗יתִי אֵ֚ת כָּל־הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֔ה אִם־אָנֹכִ֖י יְלִדְתִּ֑יהוּ כִּֽי־תֹאמַ֨ר אֵלַ֜י שָׂאֵ֣הוּ בְחֵיקֶ֗ךָ כַּאֲשֶׁ֨ר יִשָּׂ֤א הָאֹמֵן֙ אֶת־הַיֹּנֵ֔ק עַ֚ל הָֽאֲדָמָ֔ה אֲשֶׁ֥ר נִשְׁבַּ֖עְתָּ לַאֲבֹתָֽיו׃ Numbers Num 11:12 Was it I who conceived all this people? Was it I who brought them forth, that You should say to me, 'Carry them in your bosom as a nurse carries a nursing infant, to the land which You swore to their fathers'?(nasb) ======= Numbers 11:13 ============ Num 11:13 Whence should I have flesh to give unto all this people? for they weep unto me, saying, Give us flesh, that we may eat.(KJV) Numbers 11:13 Where should I haue flesh to giue vnto al this people? For they weepe vnto me, saying, Giue vs flesh that we may eate.(Geneva) Nombres 11:13 Où prendrai-je de la viande pour donner à tout ce peuple? Car ils pleurent auprès de moi, en disant: Donne-nous de la viande à manger!(FR) 13 ׃11 מֵאַ֤יִן לִי֙ בָּשָׂ֔ר לָתֵ֖ת לְכָל־הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֑ה כִּֽי־יִבְכּ֤וּ עָלַי֙ לֵאמֹ֔ר תְּנָה־לָּ֥נוּ בָשָׂ֖ר וְנֹאכֵֽלָה׃ Numbers Num 11:13 Where am I to get meat to give to all this people? For they weep before me, saying, 'Give us meat that we may eat!'(nasb) ======= Numbers 11:14 ============ Num 11:14 I am not able to bear all this people alone, because it is too heavy for me.(KJV) Numbers 11:14 I am not able to beare al this people alone, for it is too heauie for me.(Geneva) Nombres 11:14 Je ne puis pas, à moi seul, porter tout ce peuple, car il est trop pesant pour moi.(FR) 14 ׃11 לֹֽא־אוּכַ֤ל אָנֹכִי֙ לְבַדִּ֔י לָשֵׂ֖את אֶת־כָּל־הָעָ֣ם הַזֶּ֑ה כִּ֥י כָבֵ֖ד מִמֶּֽנִּי׃ Numbers Num 11:14 I alone am not able to carry all this people, because it is too burdensome for me.(nasb) ======= Numbers 11:15 ============ Num 11:15 And if thou deal thus with me, kill me, I pray thee, out of hand, if I have found favour in thy sight; and let me not see my wretchedness.(KJV) Numbers 11:15 Therefore if thou deale thus with mee, I pray thee, if I haue founde fauour in thy sight, kill me, that I behold not my miserie.(Geneva) Nombres 11:15 Plutôt que de me traiter ainsi, tue-moi, je te prie, si j'ai trouvé grâce à tes yeux, et que je ne voie pas mon malheur.(FR) 15 ׃11 וְאִם־כָּ֣כָה ׀ אַתְּ־עֹ֣שֶׂה לִּ֗י הָרְגֵ֤נִי נָא֙ הָרֹ֔ג אִם־מָצָ֥אתִי חֵ֖ן בְּעֵינֶ֑יךָ וְאַל־אֶרְאֶ֖ה בְּרָעָתִֽי׃ פ Numbers Num 11:15 So if You are going to deal thus with me, please kill me at once, if I have found favor in Your sight, and do not let me see my wretchedness." (nasb) ======= Numbers 11:16 ============ Num 11:16 And the LORD said unto Moses, Gather unto me seventy men of the elders of Israel, whom thou knowest to be the elders of the people, and officers over them; and bring them unto the tabernacle of the congregation, that they may stand there with thee.(KJV) Numbers 11:16 Then the Lord said vnto Moses, Gather vnto me seuetie men of ye Elders of Israel, whome thou knowest, that they are the Elders of the people, and gouernonrs ouer them, & bring them vnto the Tabernacle of the Congregation, and let them stand there with thee,(Geneva) Nombres 11:16 L'Eternel dit à Moïse: Assemble auprès de moi soixante-dix hommes des anciens d'Israël, de ceux que tu connais comme anciens du peuple et ayant autorité sur lui; amène-les à la tente d'assignation, et qu'ils s'y présentent avec toi.(FR) 16 ׃11 וַיֹּ֨אמֶר יְהוָ֜ה אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֗ה אֶסְפָה־לִּ֞י שִׁבְעִ֣ים אִישׁ֮ מִזִּקְנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵל֒ אֲשֶׁ֣ר יָדַ֔עְתָּ כִּי־הֵ֛ם זִקְנֵ֥י הָעָ֖ם וְשֹׁטְרָ֑יו וְלָקַחְתָּ֤ אֹתָם֙ אֶל־אֹ֣הֶל מוֹעֵ֔ד וְהִֽתְיַצְּב֥וּ שָׁ֖ם עִמָּֽךְ׃ Numbers Num 11:16 The Lord therefore said to Moses, "Gather for Me seventy men from the elders of Israel, whom you know to be the elders of the people and their officers and bring them to the tent of meeting, and let them take their stand there with you.(nasb) ======= Numbers 11:17 ============ Num 11:17 And I will come down and talk with thee there: and I will take of the spirit which is upon thee, and will put it upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with thee, that thou bear it not thyself alone.(KJV) Numbers 11:17 And I will come downe, and talke with thee there, and take of the Spirite, which is vpon thee, and put vpon them, and they shall beare the burthen of the people with thee: so thou shalt not beare it alone.(Geneva) Nombres 11:17 Je descendrai, et là je te parlerai; je prendrai de l'esprit qui est sur toi, et je le mettrai sur eux, afin qu'ils portent avec toi la charge du peuple, et que tu ne la portes pas à toi seul.(FR) 17 ׃11 וְיָרַדְתִּ֗י וְדִבַּרְתִּ֣י עִמְּךָ֮ שָׁם֒ וְאָצַלְתִּ֗י מִן־הָר֛וּחַ אֲשֶׁ֥ר עָלֶ֖יךָ וְשַׂמְתִּ֣י עֲלֵיהֶ֑ם וְנָשְׂא֤וּ אִתְּךָ֙ בְּמַשָּׂ֣א הָעָ֔ם וְלֹא־תִשָּׂ֥א אַתָּ֖ה לְבַדֶּֽךָ׃ Numbers Num 11:17 Then I will come down and speak with you there, and I will take of the Spirit who is upon you, and will put Him upon them; and they shall bear the burden of the people with you, so that you will not bear it all alone.(nasb) ======= Numbers 11:18 ============ Num 11:18 And say thou unto the people, Sanctify yourselves against to morrow, and ye shall eat flesh: for ye have wept in the ears of the LORD, saying, Who shall give us flesh to eat? for it was well with us in Egypt: therefore the LORD will give you flesh, and ye shall eat.(KJV) Numbers 11:18 Furthermore thou shalt saye vnto the people, Bee sanctified against to morowe, and yee shall eate flesh: for you haue wept in the eares of the Lord, saying, Who shall giue vs flesh to eate? For we were better in Egypt: therefore the Lorde will giue you flesh, and ye shall eate.(Geneva) Nombres 11:18 Tu diras au peuple: Sanctifiez-vous pour demain, et vous mangerez de la viande, puisque vous avez pleuré aux oreilles de l'Eternel, en disant: Qui nous fera manger de la viande? car nous étions bien en Egypte. L'Eternel vous donnera de la viande, et vous en mangerez.(FR) 18 ׃11 וְאֶל־הָעָ֨ם תֹּאמַ֜ר הִתְקַדְּשׁ֣וּ לְמָחָר֮ וַאֲכַלְתֶּ֣ם בָּשָׂר֒ כִּ֡י בְּכִיתֶם֩ בְּאָזְנֵ֨י יְהוָ֜ה לֵאמֹ֗ר מִ֤י יַאֲכִלֵ֙נוּ֙ בָּשָׂ֔ר כִּי־ט֥וֹב לָ֖נוּ בְּמִצְרָ֑יִם וְנָתַ֨ן יְהוָ֥ה לָכֶ֛ם בָּשָׂ֖ר וַאֲכַלְתֶּֽם׃ Numbers Num 11:18 Say to the people, 'Consecrate yourselves for tomorrow, and you shall eat meat; for you have wept in the ears of the Lord, saying, "Oh that someone would give us meat to eat! For we were well-off in Egypt."
