and I brought him word again as it was in mine heart.(KJV) Joshua 14:7 Fourtie yeere olde was I, when Moses the seruant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh-barnea to espie the land, and I brought him word againe, as I thought in mine heart.(Geneva) Josué 14:7 J'étais âgé de quarante ans lorsque Moïse, serviteur de l'Eternel, m'envoya de Kadès-Barnéa pour explorer le pays, et je lui fis un rapport avec droiture de coeur.(FR) 7 ׃14 בֶּן־אַרְבָּעִ֨ים שָׁנָ֜ה אָנֹכִ֗י בִּ֠שְׁלֹחַ מֹשֶׁ֨ה עֶֽבֶד־יְהוָ֥ה אֹתִ֛י מִקָּדֵ֥שׁ בַּרְנֵ֖עַ לְרַגֵּ֣ל אֶת־הָאָ֑רֶץ וָאָשֵׁ֤ב אֹתוֹ֙ דָּבָ֔ר כַּאֲשֶׁ֖ר עִם־לְבָבִֽי׃ Joshua Jos 14:7 I was forty years old when Moses the servant of the Lord sent me from Kadesh-barnea to spy out the land, and I brought word back to him as it was in my heart.(nasb) ======= Joshua 14:8 ============ Jos 14:8 Nevertheless my brethren that went up with me made the heart of the people melt: but I wholly followed the LORD my God.(KJV) Joshua 14:8 But my brethren that went vp with me, discouraged the heart of the people: yet I followed still the Lord my God.(Geneva) Josué 14:8 Mes frères qui étaient montés avec moi découragèrent le peuple, mais moi je suivis pleinement la voie de l'Eternel, mon Dieu.(FR) 8 ׃14 וְאַחַי֙ אֲשֶׁ֣ר עָל֣וּ עִמִּ֔י הִמְסִ֖יו אֶת־לֵ֣ב הָעָ֑ם וְאָנֹכִ֣י מִלֵּ֔אתִי אַחֲרֵ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽי׃ Joshua Jos 14:8 Nevertheless my brethren who went up with me made the heart of the people melt with fear; but I followed the Lord my God fully.(nasb) ======= Joshua 14:9 ============ Jos 14:9 And Moses sware on that day, saying, Surely the land whereon thy feet have trodden shall be thine inheritance, and thy children's for ever, because thou hast wholly followed the LORD my God.(KJV) Joshua 14:9 Wherefore Moses sware the same day, saying, Certainely the land whereon thy feete haue troden, shalbe thine inheritance, & thy childrens for euer, because thou hast followed constantly the Lord my God.(Geneva) Josué 14:9 Et ce jour-là Moïse jura, en disant: Le pays que ton pied a foulé sera ton héritage à perpétuité, pour toi et pour tes enfants, parce que tu as pleinement suivi la voie de l'Eternel, mon Dieu.(FR) 9 ׃14 וַיִּשָּׁבַ֣ע מֹשֶׁ֗ה בַּיּ֣וֹם הַהוּא֮ לֵאמֹר֒ אִם־לֹ֗א הָאָ֙רֶץ֙ אֲשֶׁ֨ר דָּרְכָ֤ה רַגְלְךָ֙ בָּ֔הּ לְךָ֨ תִֽהְיֶ֧ה לְנַחֲלָ֛ה וּלְבָנֶ֖יךָ עַד־עוֹלָ֑ם כִּ֣י מִלֵּ֔אתָ אַחֲרֵ֖י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽי׃ Joshua Jos 14:9 So Moses swore on that day, saying, 'Surely the land on which your foot has trodden will be an inheritance to you and to your children forever, because you have followed the Lord my God fully.'(nasb) ======= Joshua 14:10 ============ Jos 14:10 And now, behold, the LORD hath kept me alive, as he said, these forty and five years, even since the LORD spake this word unto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old.(KJV) Joshua 14:10 Therefore beholde nowe, the Lorde hath kept me aliue, as he promised: this is the fourtie and fift yeere since the Lord spake this thing vnto Moses, while the children of Israel wandered in the wildernes: and nowe loe, I am this day foure score and fiue yeere olde:(Geneva) Josué 14:10 Maintenant voici, l'Eternel m'a fait vivre, comme il l'a dit. Il y a quarante-cinq ans que l'Eternel parlait ainsi à Moïse, lorsqu'Israël marchait dans le désert; et maintenant voici, je suis âgé aujourd'hui de quatre-vingt-cinq ans.(FR) 10 ׃14 וְעַתָּ֗ה הִנֵּה֩ הֶחֱיָ֨ה יְהוָֽ[m]ה ׀ אוֹתִי֮ כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֵּר֒ זֶה֩ אַרְבָּעִ֨ים וְחָמֵ֜שׁ שָׁנָ֗ה מֵ֠אָז דִּבֶּ֨ר יְהוָ֜ה אֶת־הַדָּבָ֤ר הַזֶּה֙ אֶל־מֹשֶׁ֔ה אֲשֶׁר־הָלַ֥ךְ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר וְעַתָּה֙ הִנֵּ֣ה אָנֹכִ֣י הַיּ֔וֹם בֶּן־חָמֵ֥שׁ וּשְׁמוֹנִ֖ים שָׁנָֽה׃ Joshua Jos 14:10 Now behold, the Lord has let me live, just as He spoke, these forty-five years, from the time that the Lord spoke this word to Moses, when Israel walked in the wilderness; and now behold, I am eighty-five years old today.(nasb) ======= Joshua 14:11 ============ Jos 14:11 As yet I am as strong this day as I was in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, both to go out, and to come in.(KJV) Joshua 14:11 And yet am as strong at this time, as I was when Moses sent me: as strong as I was then, so strong am I nowe, either for warre, or for gouernment.(Geneva) Josué 14:11 Je suis encore vigoureux comme au jour où Moïse m'envoya; j'ai autant de force que j'en avais alors, soit pour combattre, soit pour sortir et pour entrer.(FR) 11 ׃14 עוֹדֶ֨נִּי הַיּ֜וֹם חָזָ֗ק כּֽ͏ַאֲשֶׁר֙ בְּי֨וֹם שְׁלֹ֤חַ אוֹתִי֙ מֹשֶׁ֔ה כְּכֹ֥חִי אָ֖ז וּכְכֹ֣חִי עָ֑תָּה לַמִּלְחָמָ֖ה וְלָצֵ֥את וְלָבֽוֹא׃ Joshua Jos 14:11 I am still as strong today as I was in the day Moses sent me; as my strength was then, so my strength is now, for war and for going out and coming in.(nasb) ======= Joshua 14:12 ============ Jos 14:12 Now therefore give me this mountain, whereof the LORD spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakims were there, and that the cities were great and fenced: if so be the LORD will be with me, then I shall be able to drive them out, as the LORD said.(KJV) Joshua 14:12 Nowe therefore giue me this mountaine whereof ye Lord spake in that day (for thou heardest in that day, how the Anakims were there, & the cities great and walled) if so be the Lord will be with me, that I may driue them out, as the Lord said.(Geneva) Josué 14:12 Donne-moi donc cette montagne dont l'Eternel a parlé dans ce temps-là; car tu as appris alors qu'il s'y trouve des Anakim, et qu'il y a des villes grandes et fortifiées. And the land had rest from war.(kjv) Joshua 14:15 And ye name of Hebron was before time, Kiriath-arba: which Arba was a great man amog the Anakims: thus the land ceassed from warre.(Geneva) Josué 14:15 Hébron s'appelait autrefois Kirjath-Arba: Arba avait été l'homme le plus grand parmi les Anakim. Le pays fut dès lors en repos et sans guerre.(FR) 15 ׃14 וְשֵׁ֨ם חֶבְר֤וֹן לְפָנִים֙ קִרְיַ֣ת אַרְבַּ֔ע הָאָדָ֧ם הַגָּד֛וֹל בָּעֲנָקִ֖ים ה֑וּא וְהָאָ֥רֶץ שָׁקְטָ֖ה מִמִּלְחָמָֽה׃ פ Joshua Jos 14:15 Now the name of Hebron was formerly Kiriath-arba; for Arba was the greatest man among the Anakim. Then the land had rest from war. (nasb) ======= Joshua 15:1 ============ Jos 15:1 This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Judah by their families; even to the border of Edom the wilderness of Zin southward was the uttermost part of the south coast.(KJV) Joshua 15:1 This then was the lot of the tribe of the children of Iudah by their families: euen to the border of Edom and the wildernesse of Zin, Southward on the Southcoast.(Geneva) Josué 15:1 La part échue par le sort à la tribu des fils de Juda, selon leurs familles, s'étendait vers la frontière d'Edom, jusqu'au désert de Tsin, au midi, à l'extrémité méridionale.(FR) |
