ceux qui moururent par les pierres de grêle furent plus nombreux que ceux qui furent tués avec l'épée par les enfants d'Israël.(FR) 11 ׃10 וַיְהִ֞י בְּנֻסָ֣ם ׀ מִפְּנֵ֣י יִשְׂרָאֵ֗ל הֵ֞ם בְּמוֹרַ֤ד בֵּית־חוֹרֹן֙ וַֽיהוָ֡ה הִשְׁלִ֣יךְ עֲלֵיהֶם֩ אֲבָנִ֨ים גְּדֹל֧וֹת מִן־הַשָּׁמַ֛יִם עַד־עֲזֵקָ֖ה וַיָּמֻ֑תוּ רַבִּ֗ים אֲשֶׁר־מֵ֙תוּ֙ בְּאַבְנֵ֣י הַבָּרָ֔ד מֵאֲשֶׁ֥ר הָרְג֛וּ בְּנֵ֥י יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל בֶּחָֽרֶב׃ ס Joshua Jos 10:11 As they fled from before Israel, while they were at the descent of Beth-horon, the Lord threw large stones from heaven on them as far as Azekah, and they died; there were more who died from the hailstones than those whom the sons of Israel killed with the sword.(nasb) ======= Joshua 10:12 ============ Jos 10:12 Then spake Joshua to the LORD in the day when the LORD delivered up the Amorites before the children of Israel, and he said in the sight of Israel, Sun, stand thou still upon Gibeon; (nasb) ======= Joshua 10:13 ============ Jos 10:13 And the sun stood still, and the moon stayed, until the people had avenged themselves upon their enemies. Is not this written in the book of Jasher? Le soleil s'arrêta au milieu du ciel, Et ne se hâta point de se coucher, presque tout un jour.(FR) 13 ׃10 וַיִּדֹּ֨ם הַשֶּׁ֜מֶשׁ וְיָרֵ֣חַ עָמָ֗ד עַד־יִקֹּ֥ם גּוֹי֙ אֹֽיְבָ֔יו הֲלֹא־הִ֥יא כְתוּבָ֖ה עַל־סֵ֣פֶר הַיָּשָׁ֑ר וַיַּעֲמֹ֤ד הַשֶּׁ֙מֶשׁ֙ בַּחֲצִ֣י הַשָּׁמַ֔יִם וְלֹא־אָ֥ץ לָב֖וֹא כְּי֥וֹם תָּמִֽים׃ Joshua Jos 10:13 So the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, Until the nation avenged themselves of their enemies. Is it not written in the book of Jashar? (nasb) ======= Joshua 10:16 ============ Jos 10:16 But these five kings fled, and hid themselves in a cave at Makkedah.(KJV) Joshua 10:16 But the fiue Kings fled and were hid in a caue at Makkedah.(Geneva) Josué 10:16 Les cinq rois s'enfuirent, et se cachèrent dans une caverne à Makkéda.(FR) 16 ׃10 וַיָּנֻ֕סוּ חֲמֵ֖שֶׁת הַמְּלָכִ֣ים הָאֵ֑לֶּה וַיֵּחָבְא֥וּ בַמְּעָרָ֖ה בְּמַקֵּדָֽה׃ Joshua Jos 10:16 Now these five kings had fled and hidden themselves in the cave at Makkedah.(nasb) ======= Joshua 10:17 ============ Jos 10:17 And it was told Joshua, saying, The five kings are found hid in a cave at Makkedah.(KJV) Joshua 10:17 And it was tolde Ioshua, saying, The fiue Kings are found hid in a caue at Makkedah.(Geneva) Josué 10:17 On le rapporta à Josué, en disant: Les cinq rois se trouvent cachés dans une caverne à Makkéda.(FR) 17 ׃10 וַיֻּגַּ֖ד לִיהוֹשֻׁ֣עַ לֵאמֹ֑ר נִמְצְאוּ֙ חֲמֵ֣שֶׁת הַמְּלָכִ֔ים נֶחְבְּאִ֥ים בַּמְּעָרָ֖ה בְּמַקֵּדָֽה׃ Joshua Jos 10:17 It was told Joshua, saying, "The five kings have been found hidden in the cave at Makkedah."(nasb) ======= Joshua 10:18 ============ Jos 10:18 And Joshua said, Roll great stones upon the mouth of the cave, and set men by it for to keep them:(KJV) Joshua 10:18 Then Ioshua said, Roule great stones vpon the mouth of the caue, and set men by it for to keepe them.(Geneva) Josué 10:18 Josué dit: Roulez de grosses pierres à l'entrée de la caverne, et mettez-y des hommes pour les garder.(FR) 18 ׃10 וַיֹּ֣אמֶר יְהוֹשֻׁ֔עַ גֹּ֛לּוּ אֲבָנִ֥ים גְּדֹל֖וֹת אֶל־פִּ֣י הַמְּעָרָ֑ה וְהַפְקִ֧ידוּ עָלֶ֛יהָ אֲנָשִׁ֖ים לְשָׁמְרָֽם׃ Joshua Jos 10:18 Joshua said, "Roll large stones against the mouth of the cave, and assign men by it to guard them,(nasb) ======= Joshua 10:19 ============ Jos 10:19 And stay ye not, but pursue after your enemies, and smite the hindmost of them; suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the LORD your God hath delivered them into your hand.(KJV) Joshua 10:19 But stand ye not still: followe after your enemies, and smite all the hindmost, suffer them not to enter into their cities: for the Lorde your God hath giuen them into your hand.(Geneva) Josué 10:19 Et vous, ne vous arrêtez pas, poursuivez vos ennemis, et attaquez-les par derrière; ne les laissez pas entrer dans leurs villes, car l'Eternel, votre Dieu, les a livrés entre vos mains.(FR) 19 ׃10 וְאַתֶּם֙ אַֽל־תַּעֲמֹ֔דוּ רִדְפוּ֙ אַחֲרֵ֣י אֹֽיְבֵיכֶ֔ם וְזִנַּבְתֶּ֖ם אוֹתָ֑ם אַֽל־תִּתְּנ֗וּם לָבוֹא֙ אֶל־עָ֣רֵיהֶ֔ם כִּ֧י נְתָנָ֛ם יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֵיכֶ֖ם בְּיֶדְכֶֽם׃ Joshua Jos 10:19 but do not stay there yourselves; pursue your enemies and attack them in the rear.
