And he said unto them, Behold, the king's son shall reign, as the LORD hath said of the sons of David.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 23:3 And al the Congregation made a couenant with the King in the house of God: and he sayde vnto them, Behold, the Kings sonne must reigne, as the Lord hath sayd of the sonnes of Dauid.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 23:3 Toute l'assemblée traita alliance avec le roi dans la maison de Dieu. Et Jehojada leur dit: Voici, le fils du roi régnera, comme l'Eternel l'a déclaré à l'égard des fils de David.(FR) 3 ׃23 וַיִּכְרֹ֨ת כָּל־הַקָּהָ֥ל בְּרִ֛ית בְּבֵ֥ית הָאֱלֹהִ֖ים עִם־הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לָהֶ֗ם הִנֵּ֤ה בֶן־הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ יִמְלֹ֔ךְ כַּאֲשֶׁ֛ר דִּבֶּ֥ר יְהוָ֖ה עַל־בְּנֵ֥י דָוִֽיד׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 23:3 Then all the assembly made a covenant with the king in the house of God. And Jehoiada said to them, "Behold, the king's son shall reign, as the Lord has spoken concerning the sons of David.(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 23:4 ============ 2Ch 23:4 This is the thing that ye shall do; A third part of you entering on the sabbath, of the priests and of the Levites, shall be porters of the doors;(KJV) 2 Chronicles 23:4 This is it that ye shal do, The third part of you that come on the Sabbath of the Priests, and the Leuites, shalbe porters of the doores.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 23:4 Voici ce que vous ferez. Le tiers qui parmi vous entre en service le jour du sabbat, sacrificateurs et Lévites, fera la garde des seuils,(FR) 4 ׃23 זֶ֥ה הַדָּבָ֖ר אֲשֶׁ֣ר תַּעֲשׂ֑וּ הַשְּׁלִשִׁ֨ית מִכֶּ֜ם בָּאֵ֣י הַשַּׁבָּ֗ת לַכֹּֽהֲנִים֙ וְלַלְוִיִּ֔ם לְשֹֽׁעֲרֵ֖י הַסִּפִּֽים׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 23:4 This is the thing which you shall do: one third of you, of the priests and Levites who come in on the sabbath, shall be gatekeepers,(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 23:5 ============ 2Ch 23:5 And a third part shall be at the king's house; and a third part at the gate of the foundation: and all the people shall be in the courts of the house of the LORD.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 23:5 And another third part towarde the Kings house, and another thirde part at the gate of the foundation, & al the people shalbe in the courts of the house of the Lord.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 23:5 un autre tiers se tiendra dans la maison du roi, et un tiers à la porte de Jesod. Tout le peuple sera dans les parvis de la maison de l'Eternel.(FR) 5 ׃23 וְהַשְּׁלִשִׁית֙ בְּבֵ֣ית הַמֶּ֔לֶךְ וְהַשְּׁלִשִׁ֖ית בְּשַׁ֣עַר הַיְס֑וֹד וְכָל־הָעָ֔ם בְּחַצְר֖וֹת בֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 23:5 and one third shall be at the king's house, and a third at the Gate of the Foundation; and all the people shall be in the courts of the house of the Lord.(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 23:6 ============ 2Ch 23:6 But let none come into the house of the LORD, save the priests, and they that minister of the Levites; they shall go in, for they are holy: but all the people shall keep the watch of the LORD.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 23:6 But let none come into the house of the Lord, saue the Priests, & the Leuites that minister: they shal go in, for they are holy: but all the people shal keepe the watch of the Lord.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 23:6 Que personne n'entre dans la maison de l'Eternel, excepté les sacrificateurs et les Lévites de service: ils entreront, car ils sont saints. And let all the people keep the charge of the Lord.(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 23:7 ============ 2Ch 23:7 And the Levites shall compass the king round about, every man with his weapons in his hand; and whosoever else cometh into the house, he shall be put to death: but be ye with the king when he cometh in, and when he goeth out.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 23:7 And the Leuites shall compasse the King rounde about, and euery man with his weapon in his hand, & he that entreth into the house, shal be slaine, & be you with the King, when he commeth in, and when he goeth out.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 23:7 Les Lévites entoureront le roi de toutes parts, chacun les armes à la main, et l'on donnera la mort à quiconque entrera dans la maison: vous serez près du roi quand il entrera et quand il sortira.(FR) 7 ׃23 וְהִקִּיפוּ֩ הַלְוִיִּ֨ם אֶת־הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ סָבִ֗יב אִ֚ישׁ וְכֵלָ֣יו בְּיָד֔וֹ וְהַבָּ֥א אֶל־הַבַּ֖יִת יוּמָ֑ת וִֽהְי֥וּ אֶת־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ בְּבֹא֥וֹ וּבְצֵאתֽוֹ׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 23:7 The Levites will surround the king, each man with his weapons in his hand; and whoever enters the house, let him be killed. Thus be with the king when he comes in and when he goes out."(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 23:8 ============ 2Ch 23:8 So the Levites and all Judah did according to all things that Jehoiada the priest had commanded, and took every man his men that were to come in on the sabbath, with them that were to go out on the sabbath: for Jehoiada the priest dismissed not the courses.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 23:8 So the Leuites and all Iudah did according to all things that Iehoiada the Priest had commanded, and tooke euery man his men that came on the Sabbath, with them that went out on the Sabbath: for Iehoiada the Priest did not discharge the courses.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 23:8 Les Lévites et tout Juda exécutèrent tous les ordres qu'avait donnés le sacrificateur Jehojada. Ils prirent chacun leurs gens, ceux qui entraient en service et ceux qui sortaient de service le jour du sabbat; car le sacrificateur Jehojada n'avait exempté aucune des divisions.(FR) 8 ׃23 וַיַּעֲשׂ֨וּ הַלְוִיִּ֜ם וְכָל־יְהוּדָ֗ה כְּכֹ֣ל אֲשֶׁר־צִוָּה֮ יְהוֹיָדָ֣ע הַכֹּהֵן֒ וַיִּקְחוּ֙ אִ֣ישׁ אֶת־אֲנָשָׁ֔יו בָּאֵ֣י הַשַׁבָּ֔ת עִ֖ם יוֹצְאֵ֣י הַשַׁבָּ֑ת כִּ֣י לֹ֥א פָטַ֛ר יְהוֹיָדָ֥ע הַכֹּהֵ֖ן אֶת־הַֽמַּחְלְקֽוֹת׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 23:8 So the Levites and all Judah did according to all that Jehoiada the priest commanded. And each one of them took his men who were to come in on the sabbath, with those who were to go out on the sabbath, for Jehoiada the priest did not dismiss any of the divisions.(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 23:9 ============ 2Ch 23:9 Moreover Jehoiada the priest delivered to the captains of hundreds spears, and bucklers, and shields, that had been king David's, which were in the house of God.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 23:9 And Iehoiada the Priest deliuered to the captaines of hundreths speares, and shieldes, and bucklers which had bene King Dauids, and were in the house of God.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 23:9 Le sacrificateur Jehojada remit aux chefs de centaines les lances et les boucliers, grands et petits, qui provenaient du roi David, et qui se trouvaient dans la maison de Dieu.(FR) 9 ׃23 וַיִּתֵּן֩ יְהוֹיָדָ֨ע הַכֹּהֵ֜ן לְשָׂרֵ֣י הַמֵּא֗וֹת אֶת־הַֽחֲנִיתִים֙ וְאֶת־הַמָּגִנּוֹת֙ וְאֶת־הַשְּׁלָטִ֔ים אֲשֶׁ֖ר לַמֶּ֣לֶךְ דָּוִ֑יד אֲשֶׁ֖ר בֵּ֥ית הָאֱלֹהִֽים׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 23:9 Then Jehoiada the priest gave to the captains of hundreds the spears and the large and small shields which had been King David's, which were in the house of God.(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 23:10 ============ 2Ch 23:10 And he set all the people, every man having his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the temple to the left side of the temple, along by the altar and the temple, by the king round about.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 23:10 And he caused all the people to stand (euery man with his weapon in his hande) from the right side of the house, to ye left side of the house by the altar & by the house round about ye king.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 23:10 Il fit entourer le roi en plaçant tout le peuple, chacun les armes à la main, depuis le côté droit jusqu'au côté gauche de la maison, près de l'autel et près de la maison.(FR) 10 ׃23 וַיַּעֲמֵ֨ד אֶת־כָּל־הָעָ֜ם וְאִ֣ישׁ ׀ שִׁלְח֣וֹ בְיָד֗וֹ מִכֶּ֨תֶף הַבַּ֤יִת הַיְמָנִית֙ עַד־כֶּ֤תֶף הַבַּ֙יִת֙ הַשְּׂמָאלִ֔ית לַמִּזְבֵּ֖חַ וְלַבָּ֑יִת עַל־הַמֶּ֖לֶךְ סָבִֽיב׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 23:10 He stationed all the people, each man with his weapon in his hand, from the right side of the house to the left side of the house, by the altar and by the house, around the king.(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 23:11 ============ 2Ch 23:11 Then they brought out the king's son, and put upon him the crown, and gave him the testimony, and made him king. And Jehoiada and his sons anointed him, and said, God save the king.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 23:11 Then they brought out the Kings sonne, and put vpon him the crowne and gaue him the testimonie, and made him King; Iehoiada and his sonnes anoynted him, and sayd, God saue the King.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 23:11 On fit avancer le fils du roi, on mit sur lui le diadème et le témoignage, et on l'établit roi. And Jehoiada and his sons anointed him and said, "Long live the king!" Then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, Treason.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 23:13 And when she looked, beholde, the King stoode by his pillar at the entring in, & the princes and the trumpets by the King, & all the people of the land reioyced, and blew the trumpets, and the singers were with instruments of musike, and they that could sing prayse: then Athaliah rent her clothes, and said, Treason, treason.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 23:13 Elle regarda. Athalie déchira ses vêtements, et dit: Conspiration! conspiration!(FR) 13 ׃23 וַתֵּ֡רֶא וְהִנֵּ֣ה הַמֶּלֶךְ֩ עוֹמֵ֨ד עַֽל־עַמּוּד֜וֹ בַּמָּב֗וֹא וְהַשָּׂרִ֣ים וְהַחֲצֹצְרוֹת֮ עַל־הַמֶּלֶךְ֒ וְכָל־עַ֨ם הָאָ֜רֶץ שָׂמֵ֗חַ וְתוֹקֵ֙עַ֙ בַּחֲצֹ֣צְר֔וֹת וְהַמְשֽׁוֹרֲרִים֙ בִּכְלֵ֣י הַשִּׁ֔יר וּמוֹדִיעִ֖ים לְהַלֵּ֑ל וַתִּקְרַ֤ע עֲתַלְיָ֙הוּ֙ אֶת־בְּגָדֶ֔יהָ וַתֹּ֖אמֶר קֶ֥שֶׁר קָֽשֶׁר׃ ס Chronicles2 2Ch 23:13 She looked, and behold, the king was standing by his pillar at the entrance, and the captains and the trumpeters were beside the king. And all the people of the land rejoiced and blew trumpets, the singers with their musical instruments leading the praise. Then Athaliah tore her clothes and said, "Treason! Treason!"(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 23:14 ============ 2Ch 23:14 Then Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds that were set over the host, and said unto them, Have her forth of the ranges: and whoso followeth her, let him be slain with the sword. For the priest said, Slay her not in the house of the LORD.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 23:14 Then Iehoiada the Priest brought out the captaines of hundreths that were gouernours of the hoste, and said vnto them, Haue her foorth of the ranges, and he that followeth her, let him dye by the sword: for the Priest had said, Slay her not in the house of the Lord.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 23:14 Alors le sacrificateur Jehojada, faisant approcher les chefs de centaines qui étaient à la tête de l'armée, leur dit: Faites-la sortir en dehors des rangs, et que l'on tue par l'épée quiconque la suivra. Car le sacrificateur avait dit: Ne la mettez pas à mort dans la maison de l'Eternel.(FR) 14 ׃23 וַיּוֹצֵא֩ יְהוֹיָדָ֨ע הַכֹּהֵ֜ן אֶת־שָׂרֵ֥י הַמֵּא֣וֹת ׀ פְּקוּדֵ֣י הַחַ֗יִל וַיֹּ֤אמֶר אֲלֵהֶם֙ הֽוֹצִיא֙וּהָ֙ אֶל־מִבֵּ֣ית הַשְּׂדֵר֔וֹת וְהַבָּ֥א אַחֲרֶ֖יהָ יוּמַ֣ת בֶּחָ֑רֶב כִּ֚י אָמַ֣ר הַכֹּהֵ֔ן לֹ֥א תְמִית֖וּהָ בֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 23:14 Jehoiada the priest brought out the captains of hundreds who were appointed over the army and said to them, "Bring her out between the ranks; and whoever follows her, put to death with the sword." For the priest said, "Let her not be put to death in the house of the Lord."(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 23:15 ============ 2Ch 23:15 So they laid hands on her; and when she was come to the entering of the horse gate by the king's house, they slew her there.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 23:15 So they layde hands on her: and when she was come to the entring of the horsegate by the Kings house, they slew her there.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 23:15 On lui fit place, et elle se rendit à la maison du roi par l'entrée de la porte des chevaux: c'est là qu'ils lui donnèrent la mort.(FR) 15 ׃23 וַיָּשִׂ֤ימוּ לָהּ֙ יָדַ֔יִם וַתָּב֛וֹא אֶל־מְב֥וֹא שַֽׁעַר־הַסּוּסִ֖ים בֵּ֣ית הַמֶּ֑לֶךְ וַיְמִית֖וּהָ שָֽׁם׃ פ Chronicles2 2Ch 23:15 So they seized her, and when she arrived at the entrance of the Horse Gate of the king's house, they put her to death there.
