Howbeit the Levites hastened it not.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 24:5 And he assembled the Priests and the Leuites, and said to them, Goe out vnto the cities of Iudah, & gather of all Israel money to repaire the house of your God, from yeere to yeere, and haste the thing: but the Leuites hasted not.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 24:5 Il assembla les sacrificateurs et les Lévites, et leur dit: Allez par les villes de Juda, et vous recueillerez dans tout Israël de l'argent, chaque année, pour réparer la maison de votre Dieu; et mettez à cette affaire de l'empressement. Mais les Lévites ne se hâtèrent point.(FR) 5 ׃24 וַיִּקְבֹּץ֮ אֶת־הַכֹּהֲנִ֣ים וְהַלְוִיִּם֒ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר לָהֶ֡ם צְא֣וּ לְעָרֵ֪י יְהוּדָ֟ה וְקִבְצוּ֩ מִכָּל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֨ל כֶּ֜סֶף לְחַזֵּ֣ק ׀ אֶת־בֵּ֣ית אֱלֹֽהֵיכֶ֗ם מִדֵּ֤י שָׁנָה֙ בְּשָׁנָ֔ה וְאַתֶּ֖ם תְּמַהֲר֣וּ לַדָּבָ֑ר וְלֹ֥א מִֽהֲר֖וּ הַֽלְוִיִּֽם׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 24:5 He gathered the priests and Levites and said to them, "Go out to the cities of Judah and collect money from all Israel to repair the house of your God annually, and you shall do the matter quickly." But the Levites did not act quickly.(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 24:6 ============ 2Ch 24:6 And the king called for Jehoiada the chief, and said unto him, Why hast thou not required of the Levites to bring in out of Judah and out of Jerusalem the collection, according to the commandment of Moses the servant of the LORD, and of the congregation of Israel, for the tabernacle of witness?(KJV) 2 Chronicles 24:6 Therefore the King called Iehoiada, the chiefe, and said vnto him, Why hast thou not required of the Leuites to bring in out of Iudah and Ierusalem the taxe of Moses the seruant of the Lord, and of the Congregation of Israel, for the Tabernacle of the testimonie?(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 24:6 Le roi appela Jehojada, le souverain sacrificateur, et lui dit: Pourquoi n'as-tu pas veillé à ce que les Lévites apportassent de Juda et de Jérusalem l'impôt ordonné par Moïse, serviteur de l'Eternel, et mis sur l'assemblée d'Israël pour la tente du témoignage?(FR) 6 ׃24 וַיִּקְרָ֣א הַמֶּלֶךְ֮ לִֽיהוֹיָדָ֣ע הָרֹאשׁ֒ וַיֹּ֣אמֶר ל֗וֹ מַדּ֙וּעַ֙ לֹֽא־דָרַ֣שְׁתָּ עַל־הַלְוִיִּ֔ם לְהָבִ֞יא מִֽיהוּדָ֣ה וּמִֽירוּשָׁלִַ֗ם אֶת־מַשְׂאַת֙ מֹשֶׁ֣ה עֶֽבֶד־יְהוָ֔ה וְהַקָּהָ֖ל לְיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל לְאֹ֖הֶל הָעֵדֽוּת׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 24:6 So the king summoned Jehoiada the chief priest and said to him, "Why have you not required the Levites to bring in from Judah and from Jerusalem the levy fixed by Moses the servant of the Lord on the congregation of Israel for the tent of the testimony?"(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 24:7 ============ 2Ch 24:7 For the sons of Athaliah, that wicked woman, had broken up the house of God; and also all the dedicated things of the house of the LORD did they bestow upon Baalim.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 24:7 For wicked Athaliah, and her children brake vp the house of God: & all the things that were dedicate for the house of the Lord, did they bestowe vpon Baalim.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 24:7 Car l'impie Athalie et ses fils ont ravagé la maison de Dieu et fait servir pour les Baals toutes les choses consacrées à la maison de l'Eternel.(FR) 7 ׃24 כִּ֤י עֲתַלְיָ֙הוּ֙ הַמִּרְשַׁ֔עַת בָּנֶ֥יהָ פָרְצ֖וּ אֶת־בֵּ֣ית הָאֱלֹהִ֑ים וְגַם֙ כָּל־קָדְשֵׁ֣י בֵית־יְהוָ֔ה עָשׂ֖וּ לַבְּעָלִֽים׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 24:7 For the sons of the wicked Athaliah had broken into the house of God and even used the holy things of the house of the Lord for the Baals. Thus they did day by day, and gathered money in abundance.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 24:11 And when it was time, they brought the chest vnto the Kings officer by the hand of the Leuites: and when they saw that there was much siluer, then the Kings Scribe (and one appoynted by the hie Priest) came and emptied the chest, and tooke it, & caried it to his place againe: thus they did day by day, and gathered siluer in abundance.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 24:11 Quand c'était le moment où les Lévites, voyant qu'il y avait beaucoup d'argent dans le coffre, devaient le livrer aux inspecteurs royaux, le secrétaire du roi et le commissaire du souverain sacrificateur venaient vider le coffre; ils le prenaient et le remettaient à sa place; ils faisaient ainsi journellement, et ils recueillirent de l'argent en abondance.(FR) 11 ׃24 וַיְהִ֡י בְּעֵת֩ יָבִ֨יא אֶת־הֽ͏ָאָר֜וֹן אֶל־פְּקֻדַּ֣ת הַמֶּלֶךְ֮ בְּיַ֣ד הַלְוִיִּם֒ וְכִרְאוֹתָ֞ם כִּי־רַ֣ב הַכֶּ֗סֶף וּבָ֨א סוֹפֵ֤ר הַמֶּ֙לֶךְ֙ וּפְקִיד֙ כֹּהֵ֣ן הָרֹ֔אשׁ וִיעָ֙רוּ֙ אֶת־הָ֣אָר֔וֹן וְיִשָּׂאֻ֖הוּ וִֽישִׁיבֻ֣הוּ אֶל־מְקֹמ֑וֹ כֹּ֤ה עָשׂוּ֙ לְי֣וֹם ׀ בְּי֔וֹם וַיַּֽאַסְפוּ־כֶ֖סֶף לָרֹֽב׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 24:11 It came about whenever the chest was brought in to the king's officer by the Levites, and when they saw that there was much money, then the king's scribe and the chief priest's officer would come, empty the chest, take it, and return it to its place. Thus they did daily and collected much money.(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 24:12 ============ 2Ch 24:12 And the king and Jehoiada gave it to such as did the work of the service of the house of the LORD, and hired masons and carpenters to repair the house of the LORD, and also such as wrought iron and brass to mend the house of the LORD.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 24:12 And the King and Iehoiada gaue it to such as did the labour and worke in the house of the Lorde, and hyred masons and carpenters to repayre the house of the Lorde: they gaue it also to workers of yron and brasse, to repayre the house of the Lord.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 24:12 Le roi et Jehojada le donnaient à ceux qui étaient chargés de faire exécuter l'ouvrage dans la maison de l'Eternel, et qui prenaient à gage des tailleurs de pierres et des charpentiers pour réparer la maison de l'Eternel, et aussi des ouvriers en fer ou en airain pour réparer la maison de l'Eternel.(FR) 12 ׃24 וַיִּתְּנֵ֨הוּ הַמֶּ֜לֶךְ וִֽיהוֹיָדָ֗ע אֶל־עוֹשֵׂה֙ מְלֶ֙אכֶת֙ עֲבוֹדַ֣ת בֵּית־יְהוָ֔ה וַיִּֽהְי֤וּ שֹׂכְרִים֙ חֹצְבִ֣ים וְחָרָשִׁ֔ים לְחַדֵּ֖שׁ בֵּ֣ית יְהוָ֑ה וְ֠גַם לְחָרָשֵׁ֤י בַרְזֶל֙ וּנְחֹ֔שֶׁת לְחַזֵּ֖ק אֶת־בֵּ֥ית יְהוָֽה׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 24:12 The king and Jehoiada gave it to those who did the work of the service of the house of the Lord; and they hired masons and carpenters to restore the house of the Lord, and also workers in iron and bronze to repair the house of the Lord.(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 24:13 ============ 2Ch 24:13 So the workmen wrought, and the work was perfected by them, and they set the house of God in his state, and strengthened it.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 24:13 So the workemen wrought, and the worke amended through their hands: & they restored the house of God to his state, & strengthened it.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 24:13 Ceux qui étaient chargés de l'ouvrage travaillèrent, et les réparations s'exécutèrent par leurs soins; ils remirent en état la maison de Dieu et la consolidèrent.(FR) 13 ׃24 וַֽיַּעֲשׂוּ֙ עֹשֵׂ֣י הַמְּלָאכָ֔ה וַתַּ֧עַל אֲרוּכָ֛ה לַמְּלָאכָ֖ה בְּיָדָ֑ם וַֽיַּעֲמִ֜ידוּ אֶת־בֵּ֧ית הָֽאֱלֹהִ֛ים עַל־מַתְכֻּנְתּ֖וֹ וַֽיְאַמְּצֻֽהוּ׃ Chronicles2 2Ch 24:13 So the workmen labored, and the repair work progressed in their hands, and they restored the house of God according to its specifications and strengthened it.(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 24:14 ============ 2Ch 24:14 And when they had finished it, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada, whereof were made vessels for the house of the LORD, even vessels to minister, and to offer withal, and spoons, and vessels of gold and silver. And they offered burnt offerings in the house of the LORD continually all the days of Jehoiada.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 24:14 And when they had finished it, they brought the rest of the siluer before the King and Iehoiada, and he made thereof vessels for the house of the Lorde, euen vessels to minister, both morters and incense cuppes, and vessels of golde, and of siluer: and they offred burnt offrings in the house of the Lorde continually all the dayes of Iehoiada.(Geneva) 2 Chroniques 24:14 Lorsqu'ils eurent achevé, ils apportèrent devant le roi et devant Jehojada le reste de l'argent; et l'on en fit des ustensiles pour la maison de l'Eternel, des ustensiles pour le service et pour les holocaustes, des coupes, et d'autres ustensiles d'or et d'argent. Et, pendant toute la vie de Jehojada, on offrit continuellement des holocaustes dans la maison de l'Eternel.(FR) 14 ׃24 וּֽכְכַלּוֹתָ֡ם הֵבִ֣יאוּ לִפְנֵי֩ הַמֶּ֨לֶךְ וִֽיהוֹיָדָ֜ע אֶת־שְׁאָ֣ר הַכֶּ֗סֶף וַיַּעֲשֵׂ֨הוּ כֵלִ֤ים לְבֵית־יְהוָה֙ כְּלֵ֣י שָׁרֵ֔ת וְהַעֲל֣וֹת וְכַפּ֔וֹת וּכְלֵ֥י זָהָ֖ב וָכָ֑סֶף וַ֠יִּֽהְיוּ מַעֲלִ֨ים עֹל֤וֹת בְּבֵית־יְהוָה֙ תָּמִ֔יד כֹּ֖ל יְמֵ֥י יְהוֹיָדָֽע׃ פ Chronicles2 2Ch 24:14 When they had finished, they brought the rest of the money before the king and Jehoiada; and it was made into utensils for the house of the Lord, utensils for the service and the burnt offering, and pans and utensils of gold and silver. And they offered burnt offerings in the house of the Lord continually all the days of Jehoiada.(nasb) ======= 2 Chronicles 24:15 ============ 2Ch 24:15 But Jehoiada waxed old, and was full of days when he died; an hundred and thirty years old was he when he died.(KJV) 2 Chronicles 24:15 But Iehoiada waxed olde, and was ful of dayes and dyed.
