(nasb) ======= Hosea 8:4 ============ Hos 8:4 They have set up kings, but not by me: they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.(KJV) Hosea 8:4 They haue set vp a King, but not by me: they haue made princes, and I knew it not: of their siluer and their gold haue they made them idoles: therefore shall they be destroyed.(Geneva) Osée 8:4 Ils ont établi des rois sans mon ordre, Et des chefs à mon insu; Ils ont fait des idoles avec leur argent et leur or; C'est pourquoi ils seront anéantis.(FR) 4 ׃8 הֵ֤ם הִמְלִיכוּ֙ וְלֹ֣א מִמֶּ֔נִּי הֵשִׂ֖ירוּ וְלֹ֣א יָדָ֑עְתִּי כַּסְפָּ֣ם וּזְהָבָ֗ם עָשׂ֤וּ לָהֶם֙ עֲצַבִּ֔ים לְמַ֖עַן יִכָּרֵֽת׃ Hosea Hos 8:4 They have set up kings, but not by Me; They have appointed princes, but I did not know it. Ma colère s'est enflammée contre eux. Jusques à quand refuseront-ils de se purifier?(FR) 5 ׃8 זָנַח֙ עֶגְלֵ֣ךְ שֹֽׁמְר֔וֹן חָרָ֥ה אַפִּ֖י בָּ֑ם עַד־מָתַ֕י לֹ֥א יוּכְל֖וּ נִקָּיֹֽן׃ Hosea Hos 8:5 He has rejected your calf, O Samaria, saying, "My anger burns against them!" How long will they be incapable of innocence? (nasb) ======= Hosea 8:6 ============ Hos 8:6 For from Israel was it also: the workman made it; therefore it is not God: but the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.(KJV) Hosea 8:6 For it came euen from Israel: the workeman made it, therefore it is not God: but the calfe of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.(Geneva) Osée 8:6 Il vient d'Israël, un ouvrier l'a fabriqué, Et ce n'est pas un Dieu; C'est pourquoi le veau de Samarie sera mis en pièces.(FR) 6 ׃8 כִּ֤י מִיִּשְׂרָאֵל֙ וְה֔וּא חָרָ֣שׁ עָשָׂ֔הוּ וְלֹ֥א אֱלֹהִ֖ים ה֑וּא כִּֽי־שְׁבָבִ֣ים יִֽהְיֶ֔ה עֵ֖גֶל שֹׁמְרֽוֹן׃ Hosea Hos 8:6 For from Israel is even this! A craftsman made it, so it is not God; Surely the calf of Samaria will be broken to pieces. (nasb) ======= Hosea 8:7 ============ Hos 8:7 For they have sown the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: it hath no stalk; the bud shall yield no meal: if so be it yield, the strangers shall swallow it up.(KJV) Hosea 8:7 For they haue sowne the winde, and they shall reape the whirlewind: it hath no stalke: the budde shall bring foorth no meale: if so be it bring forth, the strangers shall deuoure it.(Geneva) Osée 8:7 Puisqu'ils ont semé du vent, ils moissonneront la tempête; Ils n'auront pas un épi de blé; Ce qui poussera ne donnera point de farine, Et s'il y en avait, des étrangers la dévoreraient.(FR) 7 ׃8 כִּ֛י ר֥וּחַ יִזְרָ֖עוּ וְסוּפָ֣תָה יִקְצֹ֑רוּ קָמָ֣ה אֵֽין־ל֗וֹ צֶ֚מַח בְּלִ֣י יַֽעֲשֶׂה־קֶּ֔מַח אוּלַ֣י יַֽעֲשֶׂ֔ה זָרִ֖ים יִבְלָעֻֽהוּ׃ Hosea Hos 8:7 For they sow the wind And they reap the whirlwind. The standing grain has no heads; It yields no grain. Should it yield, strangers would swallow it up. (nasb) ======= Hosea 8:9 ============ Hos 8:9 For they are gone up to Assyria, a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.(KJV) Hosea 8:9 For they are gone vp to Asshur: they are as a wilde asse alone by himselfe: Ephraim hath hired louers.(Geneva) Osée 8:9 Car ils sont allés en Assyrie, Comme un âne sauvage qui se tient à l'écart; Ephraïm a fait des présents pour avoir des amis.(FR) 9 ׃8 כִּֽי־הֵ֙מָּה֙ עָל֣וּ אַשּׁ֔וּר פֶּ֖רֶא בּוֹדֵ֣ד ל֑וֹ אֶפְרַ֖יִם הִתְנ֥וּ אֲהָבִֽים Hosea Hos 8:9 For they have gone up to Assyria, Like a wild donkey all alone; Ephraim has hired lovers. (nasb) ======= Hosea 8:10 ============ Hos 8:10 Yea, though they have hired among the nations, now will I gather them, and they shall sorrow a little for the burden of the king of princes.(KJV) Hosea 8:10 Yet though they haue hired among the nations, nowe will I gather them, and they shall sorowe a litle, for the burden of the King and the princes.(Geneva) Osée 8:10 Quand même ils font des présents parmi les nations, Je vais maintenant les rassembler, Et bientôt ils souffriront sous le fardeau du roi des princes.(FR) 10 ׃8 גַּ֛ם כִּֽי־יִתְנ֥וּ בַגּוֹיִ֖ם עַתָּ֣ה אֲקַבְּצֵ֑ם וַיָּחֵ֣לּוּ מְּעָ֔ט מִמַּשָּׂ֖א מֶ֥לֶךְ שָׂרִֽים׃ Hosea Hos 8:10 Even though they hire allies among the nations, Now I will gather them up; And they will begin to diminish Because of the burden of the king of princes. (nasb) ======= Hosea 8:11 ============ Hos 8:11 Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sin, altars shall be unto him to sin.(KJV) Hosea 8:11 Because Ephraim hath made many altars to sinne, his altars shalbe to sinne.(Geneva) Osée 8:11 Ephraïm a multiplié les autels pour pécher, Et ces autels l'ont fait tomber dans le péché.(FR) 11 ׃8 כִּֽי־הִרְבָּ֥ה אֶפְרַ֛יִם מִזְבְּחֹ֖ת לַחֲטֹ֑א הָיוּ־ל֥וֹ מִזְבְּח֖וֹת לַחֲטֹֽא׃ Hosea Hos 8:11 Since Ephraim has multiplied altars for sin, They have become altars of sinning for him. (nasb) ======= Hosea 8:12 ============ Hos 8:12 I have written to him the great things of my law, but they were counted as a strange thing.(KJV) Hosea 8:12 I haue written to them the great things of my Lawe: but they were counted as a strange thing.(Geneva) Osée 8:12 Que j'écrive pour lui toutes les ordonnances de ma loi, Elles sont regardées comme quelque chose d'étranger.(FR) 12 ׃8 *אכתוב־**אֶ֨כְתָּב־ל֔וֹ *רבו **רֻבֵּ֖י תּֽוֹרָתִ֑י כְּמוֹ־זָ֖ר נֶחְשָֽׁבוּ׃ Hosea Hos 8:12 Though I wrote for him ten thousand precepts of My law, They are regarded as a strange thing. (nasb) ======= Hosea 8:13 ============ Hos 8:13 They sacrifice flesh for the sacrifices of mine offerings, and eat it; but the LORD accepteth them not; now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins: they shall return to Egypt.(KJV) Hosea 8:13 They sacrifice flesh for ye sacrifices of mine offerings, and eate it: but the Lorde accepteth them not: now will he remember their iniquitie, and visite their sinnes: they shall returne to Egypt.(Geneva) Osée 8:13 Ils immolent des victimes qu'ils m'offrent, Et ils en mangent la chair: L'Eternel n'y prend point de plaisir. Maintenant l'Eternel se souvient de leur iniquité, Et il punira leurs péchés: Ils retourneront en Egypte.(FR) 13 ׃8 זִבְחֵ֣י הַבְהָבַ֗י יִזְבְּח֤וּ בָשָׂר֙ וַיֹּאכֵ֔לוּ יְהוָ֖ה לֹ֣א רָצָ֑ם עַתָּ֞ה יִזְכֹּ֤ר עֲוֺנָם֙ וְיִפְקֹ֣ד חַטֹּאותָ֔ם הֵ֖מָּה מִצְרַ֥יִם יָשֽׁוּבוּ׃ Hosea Hos 8:13 As for My sacrificial gifts, They sacrifice the flesh and eat it, But the Lord has taken no delight in them. Now He will remember their iniquity, And punish them for their sins; They will return to Egypt. (nasb) ======= Hosea 8:14 ============ Hos 8:14 For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and buildeth temples; and Judah hath multiplied fenced cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the palaces thereof.(kjv) Hosea 8:14 For Israel hath forgotten his maker, and buildeth Temples, & Iudah hath increased strong cities: but I will sende a fire vpon his cities, and it shall deuoure the palaces thereof.(Geneva) Osée 8:14 Israël a oublié celui qui l'a fait, Et a bâti des palais, Et Juda a multiplié les villes fortes; Mais j'enverrai le feu dans leurs villes, Et il en dévorera les palais.(FR) 14 ׃8 וַיִּשְׁכַּ֨ח יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל אֶת־עֹשֵׂ֗הוּ וַיִּ֙בֶן֙ הֵֽיכָל֔וֹת וִֽיהוּדָ֕ה הִרְבָּ֖ה עָרִ֣ים בְּצֻר֑וֹת וְשִׁלַּחְתִּי־אֵ֣שׁ בְּעָרָ֔יו וְאָכְלָ֖ה אַרְמְנֹתֶֽיהָ׃ ס Hosea Hos 8:14 For Israel has forgotten his Maker and built palaces; And Judah has multiplied fortified cities, But I will send a fire on its cities that it may consume its palatial dwellings.
