Today's Date: 4/2/2025 ======= Hosea 13:1 ============ Hos 13:1 When Ephraim spake trembling, he exalted himself in Israel; but when he offended in Baal, he died.(KJV) Hosea 13:1 When Ephraim spake, there was trembling: hee exalted him selfe in Israel, but he hath sinned in Baal, and is dead.(Geneva) Osée 13:1 Lorsqu'Ephraïm parlait, c'était une terreur: Il s'élevait en Israël. Mais il s'est rendu coupable par Baal, et il est mort.(FR) 1 ׃13 כְּדַבֵּ֤ר אֶפְרַ֙יִם֙ רְתֵ֔ת נָשָׂ֥א ה֖וּא בְּיִשְׂרָאֵ֑ל וַיֶּאְשַׁ֥ם בַּבַּ֖עַל וַיָּמֹֽת׃ Hosea Hos 13:1 When Ephraim spoke, there was trembling. He exalted himself in Israel, But through Baal he did wrong and died. (nasb) ======= Hosea 13:2 ============ Hos 13:2 And now they sin more and more, and have made them molten images of their silver, and idols according to their own understanding, all of it the work of the craftsmen: they say of them, Let the men that sacrifice kiss the calves.(KJV) Hosea 13:2 And nowe they sinne more and more, and haue made them molten images of their siluer, and idoles according to their owne vnderstanding: they were all the woorke of the craftesmen: they say one to another whiles they sacrifice a man, Let them kisse the calues.(Geneva) Osée 13:2 Maintenant ils continuent à pécher, Ils se font avec leur argent des images en fonte, Des idoles de leur invention; Toutes sont l'oeuvre des artisans. On dit à leur sujet: Que ceux qui sacrifient baisent les veaux!(FR) 2 ׃13 וְעַתָּ֣ה ׀ יוֹסִ֣פוּ לַחֲטֹ֗א וַיַּעְשׂ֣וּ לָהֶם֩ מַסֵּכָ֨ה מִכַּסְפָּ֤ם כִּתְבוּנָם֙ עֲצַבִּ֔ים מַעֲשֵׂ֥ה חָרָשִׁ֖ים כֻּלֹּ֑ה לָהֶם֙ הֵ֣ם אֹמְרִ֔ים זֹבְחֵ֣י אָדָ֔ם עֲגָלִ֖ים יִשָּׁקֽוּן׃ Hosea Hos 13:2 And now they sin more and more, And make for themselves molten images, Idols skillfully made from their silver, All of them the work of craftsmen. They say of them, "Let the men who sacrifice kiss the calves!"(nasb) ======= Hosea 13:3 ============ Hos 13:3 Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney.(KJV) Hosea 13:3 Therefore they shall bee as the morning cloude, and as the morning dewe that passeth away, as the chaffe that is driuen with a whirlewind out of the floore, and as the smoke that goeth out of the chimney.(Geneva) Osée 13:3 C'est pourquoi ils seront comme la nuée du matin, Comme la rosée qui bientôt se dissipe, Comme la balle emportée par le vent hors de l'aire, Comme la fumée qui sort d'une fenêtre.(FR) 3 ׃13 לָכֵ֗ן יִֽהְיוּ֙ כַּעֲנַן־בֹּ֔קֶר וְכַטַּ֖ל מַשְׁכִּ֣ים הֹלֵ֑ךְ כְּמֹץ֙ יְסֹעֵ֣ר מִגֹּ֔רֶן וּכְעָשָׁ֖ן מֵאֲרֻבָּֽה׃ Hosea Hos 13:3 Therefore they will be like the morning cloud And like dew which soon disappears, Like chaff which is blown away from the threshing floor And like smoke from a chimney. (nasb) ======= Hosea 13:4 ============ Hos 13:4 Yet I am the LORD thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt know no god but me: for there is no saviour beside me.(KJV) Hosea 13:4 Yet I am the Lord thy God from the land of Egypt, and thou shalt knowe no God but me: for there is no Sauiour beside me.(Geneva) Osée 13:4 Et moi, je suis l'Eternel, ton Dieu, dès le pays d'Egypte. Tu ne connais d'autre Dieu que moi, Et il n'y a de sauveur que moi.(FR) 4 ׃13 וְאָנֹכִ֛י יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהֶ֖יךָ מֵאֶ֣רֶץ מִצְרָ֑יִם וֵאלֹהִ֤ים זֽוּלָתִי֙ לֹ֣א תֵדָ֔ע וּמוֹשִׁ֥יעַ אַ֖יִן בִּלְתִּֽי׃ Hosea Hos 13:4 Yet I have been the Lord your God Since the land of Egypt; And you were not to know any god except Me, For there is no savior besides Me. (nasb) ======= Hosea 13:5 ============ Hos 13:5 I did know thee in the wilderness, in the land of great drought.(KJV) Hosea 13:5 I did knowe thee in the wildernesse, in the land of drought.(Geneva) Osée 13:5 Je t'ai connu dans le désert, Dans une terre aride.(FR) 5 ׃13 אֲנִ֥י יְדַעְתִּ֖יךָ בַּמִּדְבָּ֑ר בְּאֶ֖רֶץ תַּלְאֻבֽוֹת׃ Hosea Hos 13:5 I cared for you in the wilderness, In the land of drought. (nasb) ======= Hosea 13:6 ============ Hos 13:6 According to their pasture, so were they filled; they were filled, and their heart was exalted; therefore have they forgotten me.(KJV) Hosea 13:6 As in their pastures, so were they filled: they were filled, and their heart was exalted: therefore haue they forgotten me.(Geneva) Osée 13:6 Ils se sont rassasiés dans leurs pâturages; Ils se sont rassasiés, et leur coeur s'est enflé; C'est pourquoi ils m'ont oublié.(FR) 6 ׃13 כְּמַרְעִיתָם֙ וַיִּשְׂבָּ֔עוּ שָׂבְע֖וּ וַיָּ֣רָם לִבָּ֑ם עַל־כֵּ֖ן שְׁכֵחֽוּנִי׃ Hosea Hos 13:6 As they had their pasture, they became satisfied, And being satisfied, their heart became proud; Therefore they forgot Me. (nasb) ======= Hosea 13:7 ============ Hos 13:7 Therefore I will be unto them as a lion: as a leopard by the way will I observe them:(KJV) Hosea 13:7 And I wil be vnto them as a very lyon, and as a leopard in the way of Asshur.(Geneva) Osée 13:7 Je serai pour eux comme un lion; Comme une panthère, je les épierai sur la route.(FR) 7 ׃13 וָאֱהִ֥י לָהֶ֖ם כְּמוֹ־שָׁ֑חַל כְּנָמֵ֖ר עַל־דֶּ֥רֶךְ אָשֽׁוּר׃ Hosea Hos 13:7 So I will be like a lion to them; Like a leopard I will lie in wait by the wayside. (nasb) ======= Hosea 13:8 ============ Hos 13:8 I will meet them as a bear that is bereaved of her whelps, and will rend the caul of their heart, and there will I devour them like a lion: the wild beast shall tear them.(KJV) Hosea 13:8 I will meete them, as a beare that is robbed of her whelpes, and I will breake the kall of their heart, and there will I deuoure them like a lion: the wilde beast shall teare them.(Geneva) Osée 13:8 Je les attaquerai, comme une ourse à qui l'on a enlevé ses petits, Et je déchirerai l'enveloppe de leur coeur; Je les dévorerai, comme une lionne; Les bêtes des champs les mettront en pièces.(FR) 8 ׃13 אֶפְגְּשֵׁם֙ כְּדֹ֣ב שַׁכּ֔וּל וְאֶקְרַ֖ע סְג֣וֹר לִבָּ֑ם וְאֹכְלֵ֥ם שָׁם֙ כְּלָבִ֔יא חַיַּ֥ת הַשָּׂדֶ֖ה תְּבַקְּעֵֽם׃ Hosea Hos 13:8 I will encounter them like a bear robbed of her cubs, And I will tear open their chests; There I will also devour them like a lioness, As a wild beast would tear them. (nasb) ======= Hosea 13:9 ============ Hos 13:9 O Israel, thou hast destroyed thyself; but in me is thine help.(KJV) Hosea 13:9 O Israel, one hath destroyed thee, but in me is thine helpe.(Geneva) Osée 13:9 Ce qui cause ta ruine, Israël, C'est que tu as été contre moi, contre celui qui pouvait te secourir.(FR) 9 ׃13 שִֽׁחֶתְךָ֥ יִשְׂרָאֵ֖ל כִּֽי־בִ֥י בְעֶזְרֶֽךָ׃ Hosea Hos 13:9 It is your destruction, O Israel, That you are against Me, against your help. (nasb) ======= Hosea 13:10 ============ Hos 13:10 I will be thy king: where is any other that may save thee in all thy cities? and thy judges of whom thou saidst, Give me a king and princes?(KJV) Hosea 13:10 I am: where is thy King, that shoulde help thee in al thy cities? and thy iudges, of whom thou saidest, Giue me a King, and princes?(Geneva) Osée 13:10 Où donc est ton roi? Qu'il te délivre dans toutes tes villes! Où sont tes juges, au sujet desquels tu disais: Donne-moi un roi et des princes?(FR) 10 ׃13 אֱהִ֤י מַלְכְּךָ֙ אֵפ֔וֹא וְיוֹשִֽׁיעֲךָ֖ בְּכָל־עָרֶ֑יךָ וְשֹׁ֣פְטֶ֔יךָ אֲשֶׁ֣ר אָמַ֔רְתָּ תְּנָה־לִּ֖י מֶ֥לֶךְ וְשָׂרִֽים׃ Hosea Hos 13:10 Where now is your king That he may save you in all your cities, And your judges of whom you requested, "Give me a king and princes"? (nasb) ======= Hosea 13:11 ============ Hos 13:11 I gave thee a king in mine anger, and took him away in my wrath.(KJV) Hosea 13:11 I gaue thee a King in mine anger, and I tooke him away in my wrath.(Geneva) Osée 13:11 Je t'ai donné un roi dans ma colère, Je te l'ôterai dans ma fureur.(FR) 11 ׃13 אֶֽתֶּן־לְךָ֥ מֶ֙לֶךְ֙ בְּאַפִּ֔י וְאֶקַּ֖ח בְּעֶבְרָתִֽי׃ ס Hosea Hos 13:11 I gave you a king in My anger And took him away in My wrath. (nasb) ======= Hosea 13:12 ============ Hos 13:12 The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; his sin is hid.(KJV) Hosea 13:12 The iniquitie of Ephraim is bound vp: his sinne is hid.(Geneva) Osée 13:12 L'iniquité d'Ephraïm est gardée, Son péché est mis en réserve.(FR) 12 ׃13 צָרוּר֙ עֲוֺ֣ן אֶפְרָ֔יִם צְפוּנָ֖ה חַטָּאתֽוֹ׃ Hosea Hos 13:12 The iniquity of Ephraim is bound up; His sin is stored up. (nasb) ======= Hosea 13:13 ============ Hos 13:13 The sorrows of a travailing woman shall come upon him: he is an unwise son; for he should not stay long in the place of the breaking forth of children.(KJV) Hosea 13:13 The sorowes of a trauailing woman shall come vpon him: he is an vnwise sonne, els would he not stande still at the time, euen at the breaking forth of the children.(Geneva) Osée 13:13 Les douleurs de celle qui enfante viendront pour lui; C'est un enfant peu sage, Qui, au terme voulu, ne sort pas du sein maternel.(FR) 13 ׃13 חֶבְלֵ֥י יֽוֹלֵדָ֖ה יָבֹ֣אוּ ל֑וֹ הוּא־בֵן֙ לֹ֣א חָכָ֔ם כִּֽי־עֵ֥ת לֹֽא־יַעֲמֹ֖ד בְּמִשְׁבַּ֥ר בָּנִֽים׃ Hosea Hos 13:13 The pains of childbirth come upon him; He is not a wise son, For it is not the time that he should delay at the opening of the womb. (nasb) ======= Hosea 13:14 ============ Hos 13:14 I will ransom them from the power of the grave; I will redeem them from death: O death, I will be thy plagues; O grave, I will be thy destruction: repentance shall be hid from mine eyes.(KJV) Hosea 13:14 I wil redeeme them from the power of the graue: I will deliuer them from death: O death, I wil be thy death: O graue, I will be thy destruction: repentance is hid from mine eyes.(Geneva) Osée 13:14 Je les rachèterai de la puissance du séjour des morts, Je les délivrerai de la mort. O mort, où est ta peste? Séjour des morts, où est ta destruction? Mais le repentir se dérobe à mes regards!(FR) 14 ׃13 מִיַּ֤ד שְׁאוֹל֙ אֶפְדֵּ֔ם מִמָּ֖וֶת אֶגְאָלֵ֑ם אֱהִ֨י דְבָרֶיךָ֜ מָ֗וֶת אֱהִ֤י קָֽטָבְךָ֙ שְׁא֔וֹל נֹ֖חַם יִסָּתֵ֥ר מֵעֵינָֽי׃ Hosea Hos 13:14 Shall I ransom them from the power of Sheol? Shall I redeem them from death? O Death, where are your thorns? O Sheol, where is your sting? Compassion will be hidden from My sight. (nasb) ======= Hosea 13:15 ============ Hos 13:15 Though he be fruitful among his brethren, an east wind shall come, the wind of the LORD shall come up from the wilderness, and his spring shall become dry, and his fountain shall be dried up: he shall spoil the treasure of all pleasant vessels.(KJV) Hosea 13:15 Though he grewe vp among his brethren, an East winde shall come, euen the winde of the Lord shal come vp from the wildernesse, and drie vp his veine, and his fountaine shalbe dryed vp: he shal spoyle the treasure of all pleasant vessels.(Geneva) Osée 13:15 Ephraïm a beau être fertile au milieu de ses frères, Le vent d'orient viendra, le vent de l'Eternel s'élèvera du désert, Desséchera ses sources, tarira ses fontaines. On pillera le trésor de tous les objets précieux.(FR) 15 ׃13 כִּ֣י ה֔וּא בֵּ֥ן אַחִ֖ים יַפְרִ֑יא יָב֣וֹא קָדִים֩ ר֨וּחַ יְהוָ֜ה מִמִּדְבָּ֣ר עֹלֶ֗ה וְיֵב֤וֹשׁ מְקוֹרוֹ֙ וְיֶחֱרַ֣ב מַעְיָנ֔וֹ ה֣וּא יִשְׁסֶ֔ה אוֹצַ֖ר כָּל־כְּלִ֥י חֶמְדָּֽה׃ Hosea Hos 13:15 Though he flourishes among the reeds, An east wind will come, The wind of the Lord coming up from the wilderness; And his fountain will become dry And his spring will be dried up; It will plunder his treasury of every precious article. (nasb) ======= Hosea 13:16 ============ Hos 13:16 Samaria shall become desolate; for she hath rebelled against her God: they shall fall by the sword: their infants shall be dashed in pieces, and their women with child shall be ripped up.(kjv) Hosea 13:16 (14:1) Samaria shalbe desolate: for she hath rebelled against her God: they shal fall by the sworde: their infants shalbe dashed in pieces, & their women with childe shalbe ript.(Geneva) Osée 13:16 Samarie sera punie, parce qu'elle s'est révoltée contre son Dieu. Ils tomberont par l'épée; Leurs petits enfants seront écrasés, Et l'on fendra le ventre de leurs femmes enceintes.(FR) 1 ׃14 תֶּאְשַׁם֙ שֹֽׁמְר֔וֹן כִּ֥י מָרְתָ֖ה בֵּֽאלֹהֶ֑יהָ בַּחֶ֣רֶב יִפֹּ֔לוּ עֹלְלֵיהֶ֣ם יְרֻטָּ֔שׁוּ וְהָרִיּוֹתָ֖יו יְבֻקָּֽעוּ׃ פ Hosea Hos 13:16 Samaria will be held guilty, For she has rebelled against her God. They will fall by the sword, Their little ones will be dashed in pieces, And their pregnant women will be ripped open. (nasb) ======= Hosea 14:1 ============ Hos 14:1 O israel, return unto the LORD thy God; for thou hast fallen by thine iniquity.(KJV) Hosea 14:1 (14:2) O Israel, returne vnto the Lord thy God: for thou hast fallen by thine iniquitie.(Geneva) Osée 14:1 Israël, reviens à l'Eternel, ton Dieu, Car tu es tombé par ton iniquité.(FR) |
