(Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:1 وكان في الشهر السابع ان اسماعيل بن نثنيا بن اليشاماع من النسل الملوكي جاء هو وعظماء الملك وعشرة رجال معه الى جدليا بن اخيقام الى المصفاة واكلوا هناك خبزا معا في المصفاة. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:1 In the seventh month Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, the son of Elishama, of the royal family and one of the chief officers of the king, along with ten men, came to Mizpah to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam. While they were eating bread together there in Mizpah,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:2---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:2 فقام اسماعيل بن نثنيا والعشرة الرجال الذين كانوا معه وضربوا جدليا بن اخيقام بن شافان بالسيف فقتلوه هذا الذي اقامه ملك بابل على الارض. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:2 Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and the ten men who were with him arose and struck down Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, the son of Shaphan, with the sword and put to death the one whom the king of Babylon had appointed over the land.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:3---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:3 وكل اليهود الذين كانوا معه اي مع جدليا في المصفاة والكلدانيون الذين وجدوا هناك ورجال الحرب ضربهم اسماعيل. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:3 Ishmael also struck down all the Jews who were with him, that is with Gedaliah at Mizpah, and the Chaldeans who were found there, the men of war.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:4---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:4 وكان في اليوم الثاني بعد قتله جدليا ولم يعلم انسان -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:4 Now it happened on the next day after the killing of Gedaliah, when no one knew about it,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:5---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:5 ان رجالا أتوا من شكيم ومن شيلو ومن السامرة ثمانين رجلا محلوقي اللحى ومشققي الثياب ومخمشين وبيدهم تقدمة ولبان ليدخلوهما الى بيت الرب. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:5 that eighty men came from Shechem, from Shiloh, and from Samaria with their beards shaved off and their clothes torn and their bodies gashed, having grain offerings and incense in their hands to bring to the house of the Lord.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:6---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:6 فخرج اسماعيل بن نثنيا للقائهم من المصفاة سائرا وباكيا. فكان لما لقيهم انه قال لهم هلم الى جدليا بن اخيقام. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:6 Then Ishmael the son of Nethaniah went out from Mizpah to meet them, weeping as he went; and as he met them, he said to them, "Come to Gedaliah the son of Ahikam!"(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:7---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:7 فكان لما اتوا الى وسط المدينة ان اسماعيل بن نثنيا قتلهم والقاهم الى وسط الجب هو والرجال الذين معه. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:7 Yet it turned out that as soon as they came inside the city, Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and the men that were with him slaughtered them and cast them into the cistern.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:8---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:8 ولكن وجد فيهم عشرة رجال قالوا لاسماعيل لا تقتلنا لانه يوجد لنا خزائن في الحقل قمح وشعير وزيت وعسل. فامتنع ولم يقتلهم بين اخوتهم. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:8 But ten men who were found among them said to Ishmael, "Do not put us to death; for we have stores of wheat, barley, oil and honey hidden in the field." So he refrained and did not put them to death along with their companions.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:9---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:9 فالجب الذي طرح فيه اسماعيل كل جثث الرجال الذين قتلهم بسبب جدليا هو الذي صنعه الملك آسا من وجه بعشا ملك اسرائيل. فملأه اسماعيل بن نثنيا من القتلى. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:9 Now as for the cistern where Ishmael had cast all the corpses of the men whom he had struck down because of Gedaliah, it was the one that King Asa had made on account of Baasha, king of Israel; Ishmael the son of Nethaniah filled it with the slain.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:10---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:10 فسبى اسماعيل كل بقية الشعب الذين في المصفاة بنات الملك وكل الشعب الذي بقي في المصفاة الذين اقام عليهم نبوزرادان رئيس الشرط جدليا بن اخيقام سباهم اسماعيل بن نثنيا وذهب ليعبر الى بني عمون -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:10 Then Ishmael took captive all the remnant of the people who were in Mizpah, the king's daughters and all the people who were left in Mizpah, whom Nebuzaradan the captain of the bodyguard had put under the charge of Gedaliah the son of Ahikam; thus Ishmael the son of Nethaniah took them captive and proceeded to cross over to the sons of Ammon.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:11---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:11 فلما سمع يوحانان بن قاريح وكل رؤساء الجيوش الذين معه بكل الشر الذي فعله اسماعيل بن نثنيا -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:11 But Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces that were with him heard of all the evil that Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had done.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:12---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:12 اخذوا كل الرجال وساروا ليحاربوا اسماعيل بن نثنيا فوجدوه عند المياه الكثيرة التي في جبعون. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:12 So they took all the men and went to fight with Ishmael the son of Nethaniah and they found him by the great pool that is in Gibeon.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:13---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:13 ولما رأى كل الشعب الذي مع اسماعيل يوحانان بن قاريح وكل رؤساء الجيوش الذين معهم فرحوا -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:13 Now as soon as all the people who were with Ishmael saw Johanan the son of Kareah and the commanders of the forces that were with him, they were glad.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:14---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:14 فدار كل الشعب الذي سباه اسماعيل من المصفاة ورجعوا وساروا الى يوحانان بن قاريح. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:14 So all the people whom Ishmael had taken captive from Mizpah turned around and came back, and went to Johanan the son of Kareah.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:15---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:15 اما اسماعيل بن نثنيا فهرب بثمانية رجال من وجه يوحانان وسار الى بني عمون. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:15 But Ishmael the son of Nethaniah escaped from Johanan with eight men and went to the sons of Ammon.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:16---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:16 فاخذ يوحانان بن قاريح وكل رؤساء الجيوش الذين معه كل بقية الشعب الذين استردهم من اسماعيل بن نثنيا من المصفاة بعد قتل جدليا بن اخيقام رجال الحرب المقتدرين والنساء والاطفال والخصيان الذين استردهم من جبعون -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:16 Then Johanan the son of Kareah and all the commanders of the forces that were with him took from Mizpah all the remnant of the people whom he had recovered from Ishmael the son of Nethaniah, after he had struck down Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, that is, the men who were soldiers, the women, the children, and the eunuchs, whom he had brought back from Gibeon.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:17---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:17 فساروا واقاموا في جيروت كمهام التي بجانب بيت لحم لكي يسيروا ويدخلوا مصر -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:17 And they went and stayed in Geruth Chimham, which is beside Bethlehem, in order to proceed into Egypt(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 41:18---- (Arabic) ءﺎﻴﻣﺭﺃ 41:18 من وجه الكلدانيين لانهم كانوا خائفين منهم لان اسماعيل بن نثنيا كان قد ضرب جدليا بن اخيقام الذي اقامه ملك بابل على الارض -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Jer 41:18 because of the Chaldeans; for they were afraid of them, since Ishmael the son of Nethaniah had struck down Gedaliah the son of Ahikam, whom the king of Babylon had appointed over the land.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Jeremiah 42:1 ---- written 627-585 B.C.
