================================================================================ ---- Numbers 17:1 ---- written 1450-1410 B.C.---- Num 17:1 Et locutus est Dominus ad Moysen, dicens:(Latin-405AD) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 17:1 Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 17:2---- Num 17:2 Loquere ad filios Israël, et accipe ab eis virgas singulas per cognationes suas, a cunctis principibus tribuum, virgas duodecim, et uniuscujusque nomen superscribes virgæ suæ.(Latin-405AD) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 17:2 "Speak to the sons of Israel, and get from them a rod for each father's household: twelve rods, from all their leaders according to their fathers' households. Thus I will lessen from upon Myself the grumblings of the sons of Israel, who are grumbling against you."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 17:6---- Num 17:6 Locutusque est Moyses ad filios Israël: et dederunt ei omnes principes virgas per singulas tribus: fueruntque virgæ duodecim absque virga Aaron.(Latin-405AD) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 17:6 Moses therefore spoke to the sons of Israel, and all their leaders gave him a rod apiece, for each leader according to their fathers' households, twelve rods, with the rod of Aaron among their rods.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 17:7---- Num 17:7 Quas cum posuisset Moyses coram Domino in tabernaculo testimonii,(Latin-405AD) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 17:7 So Moses deposited the rods before the Lord in the tent of the testimony.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 17:8---- Num 17:8 sequenti die regressus invenit germinasse virgam Aaron in domo Levi: et turgentibus gemmis eruperant flores, qui, foliis dilatatis, in amygdalas deformati sunt.(Latin-405AD) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 17:8 Now on the next day Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi had sprouted and put forth buds and produced blossoms, and it bore ripe almonds.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 17:9---- Num 17:9 Protulit ergo Moyses omnes virgas de conspectu Domini ad cunctos filios Israël: videruntque, et receperunt singuli virgas suas.(Latin-405AD) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 17:9 Moses then brought out all the rods from the presence of the Lord to all the sons of Israel; and they looked, and each man took his rod.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 17:10---- Num 17:10 Dixitque Dominus ad Moysen: Refer virgam Aaron in tabernaculum testimonii, ut servetur ibi in signum rebellium filiorum Israël, et quiescant querelæ eorum a me, ne moriantur.(Latin-405AD) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 17:10 But the Lord said to Moses, "Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony to be kept as a sign against the rebels, that you may put an end to their grumblings against Me, so that they will not die."(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 17:11---- Num 17:11 Fecitque Moyses sicut præceperat Dominus.(Latin-405AD) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 17:11 Thus Moses did; just as the Lord had commanded him, so he did.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 17:12---- Num 17:12 Dixerunt autem filii Israël ad Moysen: Ecce consumpti sumus, omnes perivimus.(Latin-405AD) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Num 17:12 Then the sons of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, "Behold, we perish, we are dying, we are all dying!(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Numbers 17:13---- Num 17:13 Quicumque accedit ad tabernaculum Domini, moritur.
