Esther 2:1 Pasadas estas cosas, sosegada ya la ira del rey Asuero, se acordó de Vasti, y de lo que hizo, y de lo que fue sentenciado contra ella.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:1 After these things when the anger of King Ahasuerus had subsided, he remembered Vashti and what she had done and what had been decreed against her.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:2---- Esther 2:2 Entonces dijeron los siervos del rey, sus oficiales: Busquen para él jóvenes vírgenes de buen parecer;(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:2 Then the king's attendants, who served him, said, "Let beautiful young virgins be sought for the king.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:3---- Esther 2:3 y ponga el rey personas en todas las provincias de su reino, que junte todas las jóvenes vírgenes de buen parecer en Susán residencia regia, en la casa de las mujeres, al cuidado de Hegai, eunuco del rey, guarda de las mujeres, y que les den sus atavíos para purificarse;(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:3 Let the king appoint overseers in all the provinces of his kingdom that they may gather every beautiful young virgin to the citadel of Susa, to the harem, into the custody of Hegai, the king's eunuch, who is in charge of the women; and let their cosmetics be given them.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:4---- Esther 2:4 y la joven que agradare a los ojos del rey, reine en lugar de Vasti. Y esto agradó a los ojos del rey, y lo hizo así.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:4 Then let the young lady who pleases the king be queen in place of Vashti." And the matter pleased the king, and he did accordingly.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:5---- Esther 2:5 Había un varón judío en Susán, residencia regia, cuyo nombre [era] Mardoqueo, hijo de Jair, hijo de Simi, hijo de Cis, benjamita;(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:5 Now there was at the citadel in Susa a Jew whose name was Mordecai, the son of Jair, the son of Shimei, the son of Kish, a Benjamite,(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:6---- Esther 2:6 el cual había sido trasportado de Jerusalén con los cautivos que fueron llevados con Jeconías rey de Judá, a quien hizo trasportar Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:6 who had been taken into exile from Jerusalem with the captives who had been exiled with Jeconiah king of Judah, whom Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon had exiled.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:7---- Esther 2:7 Y había criado a Hadasa, que [es] Esther, hija de su tío, porque no tenía padre ni madre; y la joven [era] de hermosa figura y de buen parecer; y como su padre y su madre murieron, Mardoqueo la había tomado por hija suya.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:7 He was bringing up Hadassah, that is Esther, his uncle's daughter, for she had no father or mother. Now the young lady was beautiful of form and face, and when her father and her mother died, Mordecai took her as his own daughter.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:8---- Esther 2:8 Sucedió, pues, que como se divulgó el mandamiento del rey y su acuerdo, y siendo reunidas muchas jóvenes en Susán, residencia regia, a cargo de Hegai, Esther también fue llevada para la casa del rey, al cuidado de Hegai, guarda de las mujeres.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:8 So it came about when the command and decree of the king were heard and many young ladies were gathered to the citadel of Susa into the custody of Hegai, that Esther was taken to the king's palace into the custody of Hegai, who was in charge of the women.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:9---- Esther 2:9 Y la joven agradó en sus ojos, y halló gracia delante de él; por lo que hizo que prestamente se le diesen sus atavíos para purificarse y sus raciones, y siete doncellas escogidas de la casa del rey; y la llevó con sus doncellas a lo mejor de la casa de las mujeres.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:9 Now the young lady pleased him and found favor with him. So he quickly provided her with her cosmetics and food, gave her seven choice maids from the king's palace and transferred her and her maids to the best place in the harem.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:10---- Esther 2:10 Esther no declaró cuál era su pueblo ni su parentela; porque Mardoqueo le había mandado que no lo declarase.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:10 Esther did not make known her people or her kindred, for Mordecai had instructed her that she should not make them known.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:11---- Esther 2:11 Y cada día Mardoqueo se paseaba delante del patio de la casa de las mujeres, para saber cómo le iba a Esther, y qué se hacía de ella.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:11 Every day Mordecai walked back and forth in front of the court of the harem to learn how Esther was and how she fared.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:12---- Esther 2:12 Y cuando llegaba el tiempo de cada una de las doncellas para venir al rey Asuero, después de haber estado ya doce meses conforme a la ley acerca de las mujeres (porque así se cumplía el tiempo de sus purificaciones, [esto es], seis meses con óleo de mirra, y seis meses con perfumes aromáticos y afeites de mujeres),(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:12 Now when the turn of each young lady came to go in to King Ahasuerus, after the end of her twelve months under the regulations for the women--for the days of their beautification were completed as follows: six months with oil of myrrh and six months with spices and the cosmetics for women--(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:13---- Esther 2:13 entonces la doncella venía así al rey. Todo lo que ella pedía se le daba, para venir con ello de la casa de las mujeres hasta la casa del rey.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:13 the young lady would go in to the king in this way: anything that she desired was given her to take with her from the harem to the king's palace.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:14---- Esther 2:14 Ella venía por la tarde, y a la mañana se volvía a la casa segunda de las mujeres, al cargo de Saasgaz eunuco del rey, guarda de las concubinas; no venía más al rey, salvo si el rey la quería, y era llamada por nombre.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:14 In the evening she would go in and in the morning she would return to the second harem, to the custody of Shaashgaz, the king's eunuch who was in charge of the concubines. She would not again go in to the king unless the king delighted in her and she was summoned by name.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:15---- Esther 2:15 Y cuando vino el turno de Esther, hija de Abihail, tío de Mardoqueo, que él se había tomado por hija, para venir al rey, ella no pidió cosa alguna, sino lo que le dijo Hegai, eunuco del rey, guarda de las mujeres; y ganaba Esther el favor de todos los que la veían.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:15 Now when the turn of Esther, the daughter of Abihail the uncle of Mordecai who had taken her as his daughter, came to go in to the king, she did not request anything except what Hegai, the king's eunuch who was in charge of the women, advised. And Esther found favor in the eyes of all who saw her.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:16---- Esther 2:16 Fue, pues, Esther llevada al rey Asuero a su casa real en el mes décimo, que [es] el mes de Tebet, en el año séptimo de su reinado.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:16 So Esther was taken to King Ahasuerus to his royal palace in the tenth month which is the month Tebeth, in the seventh year of his reign.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:17---- Esther 2:17 Y el rey amó a Esther sobre todas las mujeres, y halló gracia y benevolencia delante de él más que todas las vírgenes; y puso la corona real sobre su cabeza, y la hizo reina en lugar de Vasti.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:17 The king loved Esther more than all the women, and she found favor and kindness with him more than all the virgins, so that he set the royal crown on her head and made her queen instead of Vashti.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:18---- Esther 2:18 Hizo luego el rey un gran banquete para todos sus príncipes y sus siervos, el banquete de Esther. Y alivió de impuestos a las provincias, e hizo y dio presentes conforme a la generosidad del rey.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:18 Then the king gave a great banquet, Esther's banquet, for all his princes and his servants; he also made a holiday for the provinces and gave gifts according to the king's bounty.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:19---- Esther 2:19 Y cuando fueron reunidas las vírgenes la segunda vez, Mardoqueo estaba sentado a la puerta del rey.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:19 When the virgins were gathered together the second time, then Mordecai was sitting at the king's gate.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:20---- Esther 2:20 Y Esther, según le tenía mandado Mardoqueo, [aún] no había declarado su nación ni su pueblo; porque Esther hacía lo que decía Mardoqueo, como cuando con él se educaba.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:20 Esther had not yet made known her kindred or her people, even as Mordecai had commanded her; for Esther did what Mordecai told her as she had done when under his care.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:21---- Esther 2:21 En aquellos días, estando Mardoqueo sentado a la puerta del rey, dos eunucos del rey, Bigtán y Teres, de la guardia de la puerta, se enojaron y procuraban poner mano en el rey Asuero..(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:21 In those days, while Mordecai was sitting at the king's gate, Bigthan and Teresh, two of the king's officials from those who guarded the door, became angry and sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:22---- Esther 2:22 Mas entendido que fue esto por Mardoqueo, él lo denunció a la reina Esther, y Esther lo dijo al rey en nombre de Mardoqueo.(Spanish) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Est 2:22 But the plot became known to Mordecai and he told Queen Esther, and Esther informed the king in Mordecai's name.(NASB-1995) ================================================================================ ---- Esther 2:23---- Esther 2:23 Se hizo entonces indagación del asunto, y fue hallado cierto; por lo que ambos fueron colgados en una horca.
