Today's Date: ======= Deuteronomy 7:1 ============ Deu 7:1 "When the Lord your God brings you into the land where you are entering to possess it, and clears away many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and stronger than you,(nasb) Deu 7:1 ἐὰν δὲ εἰσαγάγῃ σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου εἰς τὴν γῆν εἰς ἣν εἰσπορεύῃ ἐκεῖ κληρονομῆσαι καὶ ἐξαρεῖ ἔθνη μεγάλα ἀπὸ προσώπου σου τὸν Χετταῖον καὶ Γεργεσαῖον καὶ Αμορραῖον καὶ Χαναναῖον καὶ Φερεζαῖον καὶ Ευαῖον καὶ Ιεβουσαῖον ἑπτὰ ἔθνη πολλὰ καὶ ἰσχυρότερα ὑμῶν (lxx) Deu 7:1 Cum introduxerit te Dominus Deus tuus in terram, quam possessurus ingredieris, et deleverit gentes multas coram te, Hethæum, et Gergezæum, et Amorrhæum, Chananæum, et Pherezæum, et Hevæum, et Jebusæum, septem gentes multo majoris numeri quam tu es, et robustiores te:(vulgate) Deu 7:1 Wenn dich der HERR, dein Gott, in das Land bringt, darein du kommen wirst, es einzunehmen, und ausgerottet viele Völker vor dir her, die Hethiter, Girgasiter, Amoriter, Kanaaniter, Pheresiter, Heviter und Jebusiter, sieben Völker, die größer und stärker sind denn du,(dhs) Deu 7:1 "When the Lord your God brings you into the land which you go to possess, and has cast out many nations before you, the Hittites and the Girgashites and the Amorites and the Canaanites and the Perizzites and the Hivites and the Jebusites, seven nations greater and mightier than you,(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:2 ============ Deu 7:2 and when the Lord your God delivers them before you and you defeat them, then you shall utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them and show no favor to them.(nasb) Deu 7:2 καὶ παραδώσει αὐτοὺς κύριος ὁ θεός σου εἰς τὰς χεῖράς σου καὶ πατάξεις αὐτούς ἀφανισμῷ ἀφανιεῖς αὐτούς οὐ διαθήσῃ πρὸς αὐτοὺς διαθήκην οὐδὲ μὴ ἐλεήσητε αὐτούς (lxx) Deu 7:2 tradideritque eas Dominus Deus tuus tibi, percuties eas usque ad internecionem. Non inibis cum eis fœdus, nec misereberis earum,(vulgate) Deu 7:2 und wenn sie der HERR, dein Gott, vor dir dahingibt, daß du sie schlägst, so sollt ihr sie verbannen, daß du keinen Bund mit ihnen machest noch ihnen Gunst erzeigest.(dhs) Deu 7:2 and when the Lord your God delivers them over to you, you shall conquer them and utterly destroy them. You shall make no covenant with them nor show mercy to them.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:3 ============ Deu 7:3 Furthermore, you shall not intermarry with them; you shall not give your daughters to their sons, nor shall you take their daughters for your sons.(nasb) Deu 7:3 οὐδὲ μὴ γαμβρεύσητε πρὸς αὐτούς τὴν θυγατέρα σου οὐ δώσεις τῷ υἱῷ αὐτοῦ καὶ τὴν θυγατέρα αὐτοῦ οὐ λήμψῃ τῷ υἱῷ σου (lxx) Deu 7:3 neque sociabis cum eis conjugia. Filiam tuam non dabis filio ejus, nec filiam illius accipies filio tuo:(vulgate) Deu 7:3 Und sollst dich mit ihnen nicht befreunden: eure Töchter sollt ihr nicht geben ihren Söhnen, und ihre Töchter sollt ihr nicht nehmen euren Söhnen.(dhs) Deu 7:3 Nor shall you make marriages with them. You shall not give your daughter to their son, nor take their daughter for your son.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:4 ============ Deu 7:4 For they will turn your sons away from following Me to serve other gods; then the anger of the Lord will be kindled against you and He will quickly destroy you.(nasb) Deu 7:4 ἀποστήσει γὰρ τὸν υἱόν σου ἀπ᾽ ἐμοῦ καὶ λατρεύσει θεοῖς ἑτέροις καὶ ὀργισθήσεται θυμῷ κύριος εἰς ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐξολεθρεύσει σε τὸ τάχος (lxx) Deu 7:4 quia seducet filium tuum, ne sequatur me, et ut magis serviat diis alienis: irasceturque furor Domini, et delebit te cito.(vulgate) Deu 7:4 Denn sie werden eure Söhne mir abfällig machen, daß sie andern Göttern dienen; so wird dann des HERRN Zorn ergrimmen über euch und euch bald vertilgen.(dhs) Deu 7:4 For they will turn your sons away from following Me, to serve other gods; so the anger of the Lord will be aroused against you and destroy you suddenly.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:5 ============ Deu 7:5 But thus you shall do to them: you shall tear down their altars, and smash their sacred pillars, and hew down their Asherim, and burn their graven images with fire.(nasb) Deu 7:5 ἀλλ᾽ οὕτως ποιήσετε αὐτοῖς τοὺς βωμοὺς αὐτῶν καθελεῖτε καὶ τὰς στήλας αὐτῶν συντρίψετε καὶ τὰ ἄλση αὐτῶν ἐκκόψετε καὶ τὰ γλυπτὰ τῶν θεῶν αὐτῶν κατακαύσετε πυρί (lxx) Deu 7:5 Quin potius hæc facietis eis: aras eorum subvertite, et confringite statuas, lucosque succidite, et sculptilia comburite:(vulgate) Deu 7:5 Sondern also sollt ihr mit ihnen tun: ihre Altäre sollt ihr zerreißen, ihre Säulen zerbrechen, ihre Haine abhauen und ihre Götzen mit Feuer verbrennen.(dhs) Deu 7:5 But thus you shall deal with them: you shall destroy their altars, and break down their sacred pillars, and cut down their wooden images, and burn their carved images with fire.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:6 ============ Deu 7:6 For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.(nasb) Deu 7:6 ὅτι λαὸς ἅγιος εἶ κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σου καὶ σὲ προείλατο κύριος ὁ θεός σου εἶναί σε αὐτῷ λαὸν περιούσιον παρὰ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη ὅσα ἐπὶ προσώπου τῆς γῆς (lxx) Deu 7:6 quia populus sanctus es Domino Deo tuo.~ Te elegit Dominus Deus tuus, ut sis ei populus peculiaris de cunctis populis, qui sunt super terram.(vulgate) Deu 7:6 Denn du bist ein heiliges Volk dem HERRN, deinem Gott, Dich hat der HERR, dein Gott erwählt zum Volk des Eigentums aus allen Völkern, die auf Erden sind.(dhs) Deu 7:6 "For you are a holy people to the Lord your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Himself, a special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:7 ============ Deu 7:7 "The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples,(nasb) Deu 7:7 οὐχ ὅτι πολυπληθεῖτε παρὰ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη προείλατο κύριος ὑμᾶς καὶ ἐξελέξατο ὑμᾶς ὑμεῖς γάρ ἐστε ὀλιγοστοὶ παρὰ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη (lxx) Deu 7:7 Non quia cunctas gentes numero vincebatis, vobis junctus est Dominus, et elegit vos, cum omnibus sitis populis pauciores:(vulgate) Deu 7:7 Nicht hat euch der HERR angenommen und euch erwählt, darum daß euer mehr wäre als alle Völker, denn du bist das kleinste unter allen Völkern;(dhs) Deu 7:7 The Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples;(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:8 ============ Deu 7:8 but because the Lord loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, the Lord brought you out by a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.(nasb) Deu 7:8 ἀλλὰ παρὰ τὸ ἀγαπᾶν κύριον ὑμᾶς καὶ διατηρῶν τὸν ὅρκον ὃν ὤμοσεν τοῖς πατράσιν ὑμῶν ἐξήγαγεν κύριος ὑμᾶς ἐν χειρὶ κραταιᾷ καὶ ἐν βραχίονι ὑψηλῷ καὶ ἐλυτρώσατο ἐξ οἴκου δουλείας ἐκ χειρὸς Φαραω βασιλέως Αἰγύπτου (lxx) Deu 7:8 sed quia dilexit vos Dominus, et custodivit juramentum, quod juravit patribus vestris: eduxitque vos in manu forti, et redemit de domo servitutis, de manu Pharaonis regis Ægypti.(vulgate) Deu 7:8 sondern darum, daß er euch geliebt hat und daß er seinen Eid hielte, den er euren Vätern geschworen hat, hat er euch ausgeführt mit mächtiger Hand und hat dich erlöst vom Hause des Dienstes, aus der Hand Pharaos, des Königs in Ägypten.(dhs) Deu 7:8 but because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:9 ============ Deu 7:9 Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps His covenant and His lovingkindness to a thousandth generation with those who love Him and keep His commandments;(nasb) Deu 7:9 καὶ γνώσῃ ὅτι κύριος ὁ θεός σου οὗτος θεός θεὸς πιστός ὁ φυλάσσων διαθήκην καὶ ἔλεος τοῖς ἀγαπῶσιν αὐτὸν καὶ τοῖς φυλάσσουσιν τὰς ἐντολὰς αὐτοῦ εἰς χιλίας γενεὰς (lxx) Deu 7:9 Et scies, quia Dominus Deus tuus, ipse est Deus fortis et fidelis, custodiens pactum et misericordiam diligentibus se, et his qui custodiunt præcepta ejus in mille generationes:(vulgate) Deu 7:9 So sollst du nun wissen, daß der HERR, dein Gott, ein Gott ist, ein treuer Gott, der den Bund und die Barmherzigkeit hält denen, die ihn lieben und seine Gebote halten, in tausend Glieder,(dhs) Deu 7:9 Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments;(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:10 ============ Deu 7:10 but repays those who hate Him to their faces, to destroy them; He will not delay with him who hates Him, He will repay him to his face.(nasb) Deu 7:10 καὶ ἀποδιδοὺς τοῖς μισοῦσιν κατὰ πρόσωπον ἐξολεθρεῦσαι αὐτούς καὶ οὐχὶ βραδυνεῖ τοῖς μισοῦσιν κατὰ πρόσωπον ἀποδώσει αὐτοῖς (lxx) Deu 7:10 et reddens odientibus se statim, ita ut disperdat eos, et ultra non differat, protinus eis restituens quod merentur.(vulgate) Deu 7:10 und vergilt denen, die ihn hassen, ins Angesicht, daß er sie umbringe, und säumt sie nicht, daß er denen vergelte ins Angesicht, die ihn hassen.(dhs) Deu 7:10 and He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:11 ============ Deu 7:11 Therefore, you shall keep the commandment and the statutes and the judgments which I am commanding you today, to do them.(nasb) Deu 7:11 καὶ φυλάξῃ τὰς ἐντολὰς καὶ τὰ δικαιώματα καὶ τὰ κρίματα ταῦτα ὅσα ἐγὼ ἐντέλλομαί σοι σήμερον ποιεῖν (lxx) Deu 7:11 Custodi ergo præcepta et cæremonias atque judicia, quæ ego mando tibi hodie ut facias.~(vulgate) Deu 7:11 So halte nun die Gebote und Gesetze und Rechte, die ich dir heute gebiete, daß du darnach tust.(dhs) Deu 7:11 Therefore you shall keep the commandment, the statutes, and the judgments which I command you today, to observe them.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:12 ============ Deu 7:12 "Then it shall come about, because you listen to these judgments and keep and do them, that the Lord your God will keep with you His covenant and His lovingkindness which He swore to your forefathers.(nasb) Deu 7:12 καὶ ἔσται ἡνίκα ἂν ἀκούσητε πάντα τὰ δικαιώματα ταῦτα καὶ φυλάξητε καὶ ποιήσητε αὐτά καὶ διαφυλάξει κύριος ὁ θεός σού σοι τὴν διαθήκην καὶ τὸ ἔλεος ὃ ὤμοσεν τοῖς πατράσιν ὑμῶν (lxx) Deu 7:12 Si postquam audieris hæc judicia, custodieris ea, et feceris, custodiet et Dominus Deus tuus pactum tibi, et misericordiam quam juravit patribus tuis:(vulgate) Deu 7:12 Und wenn ihr diese Rede hört und haltet sie und darnach tut, so wird der HERR, dein Gott, auch halten den Bund und die Barmherzigkeit, die er deinen Väter geschworen hat,(dhs) Deu 7:12 "Then it shall come to pass, because you listen to these judgments, and keep and do them, that the Lord your God will keep with you the covenant and the mercy which He swore to your fathers.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:13 ============ Deu 7:13 He will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your herd and the young of your flock, in the land which He swore to your forefathers to give you.(nasb) Deu 7:13 καὶ ἀγαπήσει σε καὶ εὐλογήσει σε καὶ πληθυνεῖ σε καὶ εὐλογήσει τὰ ἔκγονα τῆς κοιλίας σου καὶ τὸν καρπὸν τῆς γῆς σου τὸν σῖτόν σου καὶ τὸν οἶνόν σου καὶ τὸ ἔλαιόν σου τὰ βουκόλια τῶν βοῶν σου καὶ τὰ ποίμνια τῶν προβάτων σου ἐπὶ τῆς γῆς ἧς ὤμοσεν κύριος τοῖς πατράσιν σου δοῦναί σοι (lxx) Deu 7:13 et diliget te, ac multiplicabit, benedicetque fructui ventris tui, et fructui terræ tuæ, frumento tuo, atque vindemiæ, oleo, et armentis, gregibus ovium tuarum super terram, pro qua juravit patribus tuis ut daret eam tibi.(vulgate) Deu 7:13 und wird dich lieben und segnen und mehren und wird die Frucht deines Leibes segnen und die Frucht deines Landes, dein Getreide, Most und Öl, die Früchte deiner Kühe und die Früchte deiner Schafe in dem Lande, das er deinen Vätern geschworen hat dir zu geben.(dhs) Deu 7:13 And He will love you and bless you and multiply you; He will also bless the fruit of your womb and the fruit of your land, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flock, in the land of which He swore to your fathers to give you.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:14 ============ Deu 7:14 You shall be blessed above all peoples; there will be no male or female barren among you or among your cattle.(nasb) Deu 7:14 εὐλογητὸς ἔσῃ παρὰ πάντα τὰ ἔθνη οὐκ ἔσται ἐν ὑμῖν ἄγονος οὐδὲ στεῖρα καὶ ἐν τοῖς κτήνεσίν σου (lxx) Deu 7:14 Benedictus eris inter omnes populos. Non erit apud te sterilis utriusque sexus, tam in hominibus quam in gregibus tuis.(vulgate) Deu 7:14 Gesegnet wirst du sein über alle Völker. Es wird niemand unter dir unfruchtbar sein noch unter deinem Vieh.(dhs) Deu 7:14 You shall be blessed above all peoples; there shall not be a male or female barren among you or among your livestock.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:15 ============ Deu 7:15 The Lord will remove from you all sickness; and He will not put on you any of the harmful diseases of Egypt which you have known, but He will lay them on all who hate you.(nasb) Deu 7:15 καὶ περιελεῖ κύριος ἀπὸ σοῦ πᾶσαν μαλακίαν καὶ πάσας νόσους Αἰγύπτου τὰς πονηράς ἃς ἑώρακας καὶ ὅσα ἔγνως οὐκ ἐπιθήσει ἐπὶ σὲ καὶ ἐπιθήσει αὐτὰ ἐπὶ πάντας τοὺς μισοῦντάς σε (lxx) Deu 7:15 Auferet Dominus a te omnem languorem: et infirmitates Ægypti pessimas, quas novisti, non inferet tibi, sed cunctis hostibus tuis.(vulgate) Deu 7:15 Der HERR wird von dir tun alle Krankheit und wird keine böse Seuche der Ägypter dir auflegen, die du erfahren hast, und wir sie allen deinen Hassern auflegen.(dhs) Deu 7:15 And the Lord will take away from you all sickness, and will afflict you with none of the terrible diseases of Egypt which you have known, but will lay them on all those who hate you.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:16 ============ Deu 7:16 You shall consume all the peoples whom the Lord your God will deliver to you; your eye shall not pity them, nor shall you serve their gods, for that would be a snare to you.(nasb) Deu 7:16 καὶ φάγῃ πάντα τὰ σκῦλα τῶν ἐθνῶν ἃ κύριος ὁ θεός σου δίδωσίν σοι οὐ φείσεται ὁ ὀφθαλμός σου ἐπ᾽ αὐτοῖς καὶ οὐ λατρεύσεις τοῖς θεοῖς αὐτῶν ὅτι σκῶλον τοῦτό ἐστίν σοι (lxx) Deu 7:16 Devorabis omnes populos, quos Dominus Deus tuus daturus est tibi. Non parcet eis oculus tuus, nec servies diis eorum, ne sint in ruinam tui.~(vulgate) Deu 7:16 Du wirst alle Völker verzehren, die der HERR, dein Gott, dir geben wird. Du sollst ihrer nicht schonen und ihren Göttern nicht dienen; denn das würde dir ein Strick sein.(dhs) Deu 7:16 And you shall destroy all the peoples whom the Lord your God delivers over to you; your eye shall have no pity on them; nor shall you serve their gods, for that will be a snare to you.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:17 ============ Deu 7:17 "If you should say in your heart, 'These nations are greater than I; how can I dispossess them?'(nasb) Deu 7:17 ἐὰν δὲ λέγῃς ἐν τῇ διανοίᾳ σου ὅτι πολὺ τὸ ἔθνος τοῦτο ἢ ἐγώ πῶς δυνήσομαι ἐξολεθρεῦσαι αὐτούς (lxx) Deu 7:17 Si dixeris in corde tuo: Plures sunt gentes istæ quam ego: quomodo potero delere eas?(vulgate) Deu 7:17 Wirst du aber in deinem Herzen sagen: Dieses Volk ist mehr, denn ich bin; wie kann ich sie vertreiben?(dhs) Deu 7:17 "If you should say in your heart, 'These nations are greater than I; how can I dispossess them?'--(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:18 ============ Deu 7:18 you shall not be afraid of them; you shall well remember what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt:(nasb) Deu 7:18 οὐ φοβηθήσῃ αὐτούς μνείᾳ μνησθήσῃ ὅσα ἐποίησεν κύριος ὁ θεός σου τῷ Φαραω καὶ πᾶσι τοῖς Αἰγυπτίοις (lxx) Deu 7:18 noli metuere, sed recordare quæ fecerit Dominus Deus tuus Pharaoni, et cunctis Ægyptiis,(vulgate) Deu 7:18 so fürchte dich nicht vor ihnen. Gedenke, was der HERR, dein Gott, Pharao und allen Ägyptern getan hat(dhs) Deu 7:18 you shall not be afraid of them, but you shall remember well what the Lord your God did to Pharaoh and to all Egypt:(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:19 ============ Deu 7:19 the great trials which your eyes saw and the signs and the wonders and the mighty hand and the outstretched arm by which the Lord your God brought you out. So shall the Lord your God do to all the peoples of whom you are afraid.(nasb) Deu 7:19 τοὺς πειρασμοὺς τοὺς μεγάλους οὓς εἴδοσαν οἱ ὀφθαλμοί σου τὰ σημεῖα καὶ τὰ τέρατα τὰ μεγάλα ἐκεῖνα τὴν χεῖρα τὴν κραταιὰν καὶ τὸν βραχίονα τὸν ὑψηλόν ὡς ἐξήγαγέν σε κύριος ὁ θεός σου οὕτως ποιήσει κύριος ὁ θεὸς ἡμῶν πᾶσιν τοῖς ἔθνεσιν οὓς σὺ φοβῇ ἀπὸ προσώπου αὐτῶν (lxx) Deu 7:19 plagas maximas, quas viderunt oculi tui, et signa atque portenta, manumque robustam, et extentum brachium, ut educeret te Dominus Deus tuus: sic faciet cunctis populis, quos metuis.(vulgate) Deu 7:19 durch große Versuchungen, die du mit Augen gesehen hast, und durch Zeichen und Wunder, durch mächtige Hand und ausgereckten Arm, womit dich der HERR, dein Gott, ausführte. Non poteris eas delere pariter: ne forte multiplicentur contra te bestiæ terræ.(vulgate) Deu 7:22 Er, der HERR, dein Gott, wird diese Leute ausrotten vor dir, einzeln nacheinander. Du kannst sie nicht eilend vertilgen, auf daß sich nicht wider dich mehren die Tiere auf dem Felde.(dhs) Deu 7:22 And the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you little by little; you will be unable to destroy them at once, lest the beasts of the field become too numerous for you.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:23 ============ Deu 7:23 But the Lord your God will deliver them before you, and will throw them into great confusion until they are destroyed.(nasb) Deu 7:23 καὶ παραδώσει αὐτοὺς κύριος ὁ θεός σου εἰς τὰς χεῖράς σου καὶ ἀπολέσει αὐτοὺς ἀπωλείᾳ μεγάλῃ ἕως ἂν ἐξολεθρεύσῃ αὐτούς (lxx) Deu 7:23 Dabitque eos Dominus Deus tuus in conspectu tuo: et interficiet illos, donec penitus deleantur.(vulgate) Deu 7:23 Der HERR, dein Gott, wird sie vor dir dahingeben und wird sie mit großer Schlacht erschlagen, bis er sie vertilge,(dhs) Deu 7:23 But the Lord your God will deliver them over to you, and will inflict defeat upon them until they are destroyed.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:24 ============ Deu 7:24 He will deliver their kings into your hand so that you will make their name perish from under heaven; no man will be able to stand before you until you have destroyed them.(nasb) Deu 7:24 καὶ παραδώσει τοὺς βασιλεῖς αὐτῶν εἰς τὰς χεῖρας ὑμῶν καὶ ἀπολεῖται τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῶν ἐκ τοῦ τόπου ἐκείνου οὐκ ἀντιστήσεται οὐδεὶς κατὰ πρόσωπόν σου ἕως ἂν ἐξολεθρεύσῃς αὐτούς (lxx) Deu 7:24 Tradetque reges eorum in manus tuas, et disperdes nomina eorum sub cælo: nullus poterit resistere tibi, donec conteras eos.(vulgate) Deu 7:24 und wird dir ihre Könige in deine Hände geben, und du sollst ihren Namen umbringen unter dem Himmel. Es wird dir niemand widerstehen, bis du sie vertilgst.(dhs) Deu 7:24 And He will deliver their kings into your hand, and you will destroy their name from under heaven; no one shall be able to stand against you until you have destroyed them.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:25 ============ Deu 7:25 The graven images of their gods you are to burn with fire; you shall not covet the silver or the gold that is on them, nor take it for yourselves, or you will be snared by it, for it is an abomination to the Lord your God.(nasb) Deu 7:25 τὰ γλυπτὰ τῶν θεῶν αὐτῶν κατακαύσετε πυρί οὐκ ἐπιθυμήσεις ἀργύριον οὐδὲ χρυσίον ἀπ᾽ αὐτῶν καὶ οὐ λήμψῃ σεαυτῷ μὴ πταίσῃς δι᾽ αὐτό ὅτι βδέλυγμα κυρίῳ τῷ θεῷ σού ἐστιν (lxx) Deu 7:25 Sculptilia eorum igne combures: non concupisces argentum et aurum, de quibus facta sunt, neque assumes ex eis tibi quidquam, ne offendas, propterea quia abominatio est Domini tui:(vulgate) Deu 7:25 Die Bilder ihrer Götter sollst du mit Feuer verbrennen, und sollst nicht begehren des Silbers oder Goldes, das daran ist, oder es zu dir nehmen, daß du dich nicht darin verstrickst; denn solches ist dem HERRN, deinem Gott, ein Greuel.(dhs) Deu 7:25 You shall burn the carved images of their gods with fire; you shall not covet the silver or gold that is on them, nor take it for yourselves, lest you be snared by it; for it is an abomination to the Lord your God.(nkjv) ======= Deuteronomy 7:26 ============ Deu 7:26 You shall not bring an abomination into your house, and like it come under the ban; you shall utterly detest it and you shall utterly abhor it, for it is something banned.(nasb) Deu 7:26 καὶ οὐκ εἰσοίσεις βδέλυγμα εἰς τὸν οἶκόν σου καὶ ἔσῃ ἀνάθημα ὥσπερ τοῦτο προσοχθίσματι προσοχθιεῖς καὶ βδελύγματι βδελύξῃ ὅτι ἀνάθημά ἐστιν (lxx) Deu 7:26 nec inferes quippiam ex idolo in domum tuam, ne fias anathema, sicut et illud est. Quasi spurcitiam detestaberis, et velut inquinamentum ac sordes abominationi habebis, quia anathema est.(vulgate) Deu 7:26 Darum sollst du nicht in dein Haus den Greuel bringen, daß du nicht wie dasselbe verbannt werdest; sondern du sollst einen Ekel und Greuel daran haben, denn es ist verbannt.(dhs) Deu 7:26 Nor shall you bring an abomination into your house, lest you be doomed to destruction like it.
