So David departed and went into the forest of Hereth.(nasb) 1Sa 22:5 καὶ εἶπεν Γαδ ὁ προφήτης πρὸς Δαυιδ μὴ κάθου ἐν τῇ περιοχῇ πορεύου καὶ ἥξεις εἰς γῆν Ιουδα καὶ ἐπορεύθη Δαυιδ καὶ ἦλθεν καὶ ἐκάθισεν ἐν πόλει Σαριχ (lxx) 1Sa 22:5 Dixitque Gad propheta ad David: Noli manere in præsidio: proficiscere, et vade in terram Juda. Et profectus est David, et venit in saltum Haret.(vulgate) 1Sa 22:5 Aber der Prophet Gad sprach zu David: Bleibe nicht verborgen, sondern gehe hin und komm ins Land Juda. Now Saul was sitting in Gibeah, under the tamarisk tree on the height with his spear in his hand, and all his servants were standing around him.(nasb) 1Sa 22:6 καὶ ἤκουσεν Σαουλ ὅτι ἔγνωσται Δαυιδ καὶ οἱ ἄνδρες οἱ μετ᾽ αὐτοῦ καὶ Σαουλ ἐκάθητο ἐν τῷ βουνῷ ὑπὸ τὴν ἄρουραν τὴν ἐν Ραμα καὶ τὸ δόρυ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ πάντες οἱ παῖδες αὐτοῦ παρειστήκεισαν αὐτῷ (lxx) 1Sa 22:6 Et audivit Saul quod apparuisset David, et viri qui erant cum eo. Saul autem cum maneret in Gabaa, et esset in nemore quod est in Rama, hastam manu tenens, cunctique servi ejus circumstarent eum,(vulgate) 1Sa 22:6 Und es kam vor Saul, daß David und die Männer, die bei ihm waren, wären hervorgekommen. Und Saul saß zu Gibea unter dem Baum auf der Höhe und hatte seinen Spieß in der Hand, und alle seine Knechte standen neben ihm.(dhs) 1Sa 22:6 When Saul heard that David and the men who were with him had been discovered--now Saul was staying in Gibeah under a tamarisk tree in Ramah, with his spear in his hand, and all his servants standing about him--(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 22:7 ============ 1Sa 22:7 Saul said to his servants who stood around him, "Hear now, O Benjamites! Will the son of Jesse also give to all of you fields and vineyards? Will he make you all commanders of thousands and commanders of hundreds?(nasb) 1Sa 22:7 καὶ εἶπεν Σαουλ πρὸς τοὺς παῖδας αὐτοῦ τοὺς παρεστηκότας αὐτῷ καὶ εἶπεν αὐτοῖς ἀκούσατε δή υἱοὶ Βενιαμιν εἰ ἀληθῶς πᾶσιν ὑμῖν δώσει ὁ υἱὸς Ιεσσαι ἀγροὺς καὶ ἀμπελῶνας καὶ πάντας ὑμᾶς τάξει ἑκατοντάρχους καὶ χιλιάρχους (lxx) 1Sa 22:7 ait ad servos suos qui assistebant ei: Audite nunc, filii Jemini: numquid omnibus vobis dabit filius Isai agros et vineas, et universos vos faciet tribunos et centuriones?(vulgate) 1Sa 22:7 Da sprach Saul zu seinen Knechten, die neben ihm standen: Höret, ihr Benjaminiter! wird auch der Sohn Isais euch allen Äcker und Weinberge geben und euch alle über tausend und über hundert zu Obersten machen,(dhs) 1Sa 22:7 then Saul said to his servants who stood about him, "Hear now, you Benjamites! Will the son of Jesse give every one of you fields and vineyards, and make you all captains of thousands and captains of hundreds?(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 22:8 ============ 1Sa 22:8 For all of you have conspired against me so that there is no one who discloses to me when my son makes a covenant with the son of Jesse, and there is none of you who is sorry for me or discloses to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me to lie in ambush, as it is this day."(nasb) 1Sa 22:8 ὅτι σύγκεισθε πάντες ὑμεῖς ἐπ᾽ ἐμέ καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν ὁ ἀποκαλύπτων τὸ ὠτίον μου ἐν τῷ διαθέσθαι τὸν υἱόν μου διαθήκην μετὰ τοῦ υἱοῦ Ιεσσαι καὶ οὐκ ἔστιν πονῶν περὶ ἐμοῦ ἐξ ὑμῶν καὶ ἀποκαλύπτων τὸ ὠτίον μου ὅτι ἐπήγειρεν ὁ υἱός μου τὸν δοῦλόν μου ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ εἰς ἐχθρὸν ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη (lxx) 1Sa 22:8 quoniam conjurastis omnes adversum me, et non est qui mihi renuntiet, maxime cum et filius meus fœdus inierit cum filio Isai. Non est qui vicem meam doleat ex vobis, nec qui annuntiet mihi: eo quod suscitaverit filius meus servum meum adversum me, insidiantem mihi usque hodie.~(vulgate) 1Sa 22:8 daß ihr euch alle verbunden habt wider mich und ist niemand, der es meinen Ohren offenbarte, weil auch mein Sohn einen Bund gemacht hat mit dem Sohn Isais? Ist niemand unter euch, den es kränke meinethalben und der es meinen Ohren offenbare? Denn mein Sohn hat meinen Knecht wider mich auferweckt, daß er mir nachstellt, wie es am Tage ist.(dhs) 1Sa 22:8 All of you have conspired against me, and there is no one who reveals to me that my son has made a covenant with the son of Jesse; and there is not one of you who is sorry for me or reveals to me that my son has stirred up my servant against me, to lie in wait, as it is this day."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 22:9 ============ 1Sa 22:9 Then Doeg the Edomite, who was standing by the servants of Saul, said, "I saw the son of Jesse coming to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.(nasb) 1Sa 22:9 καὶ ἀποκρίνεται Δωηκ ὁ Σύρος ὁ καθεστηκὼς ἐπὶ τὰς ἡμιόνους Σαουλ καὶ εἶπεν ἑόρακα τὸν υἱὸν Ιεσσαι παραγινόμενον εἰς Νομβα πρὸς Αβιμελεχ υἱὸν Αχιτωβ τὸν ἱερέα (lxx) 1Sa 22:9 Respondens autem Doëg Idumæus, qui assistebat, et erat primus inter servos Saul: Vidi, inquit, filium Isai in Nobe apud Achimelech filium Achitob sacerdotem.(vulgate) 1Sa 22:9 Da antwortete Doeg, der Edomiter, der neben den Knechten Sauls stand, und sprach: Ich sah den Sohn Isais, daß er gen Nobe kam zu Ahimelech, dem Sohn Ahitobs.(dhs) 1Sa 22:9 Then answered Doeg the Edomite, who was set over the servants of Saul, and said, "I saw the son of Jesse going to Nob, to Ahimelech the son of Ahitub.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 22:10 ============ 1Sa 22:10 He inquired of the Lord for him, gave him provisions, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine."(nasb) 1Sa 22:10 καὶ ἠρώτα αὐτῷ διὰ τοῦ θεοῦ καὶ ἐπισιτισμὸν ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ καὶ τὴν ῥομφαίαν Γολιαδ τοῦ ἀλλοφύλου ἔδωκεν αὐτῷ (lxx) 1Sa 22:10 Qui consuluit pro eo Dominum, et cibaria dedit ei: sed et gladium Goliath Philisthæi dedit illi.(vulgate) 1Sa 22:10 Der fragte den HERRN für ihn und gab ihm Speise und das Schwert Goliaths, des Philisters.(dhs) 1Sa 22:10 And he inquired of the Lord for him, gave him provisions, and gave him the sword of Goliath the Philistine."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 22:11 ============ 1Sa 22:11 Then the king sent someone to summon Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father's household, the priests who were in Nob; and all of them came to the king.(nasb) 1Sa 22:11 καὶ ἀπέστειλεν ὁ βασιλεὺς καλέσαι τὸν Αβιμελεχ υἱὸν Αχιτωβ καὶ πάντας τοὺς υἱοὺς τοῦ πατρὸς αὐτοῦ τοὺς ἱερεῖς τοὺς ἐν Νομβα καὶ παρεγένοντο πάντες πρὸς τὸν βασιλέα (lxx) 1Sa 22:11 Misit ergo rex ad accersendum Achimelech sacerdotem filium Achitob, et omnem domum patris ejus, sacerdotum qui erant in Nobe, qui universi venerunt ad regem.(vulgate) 1Sa 22:11 Da sandte der König hin und ließ rufen Ahimelech, den Priester, den Sohn Ahitobs, und seines Vaters ganzes Haus, die Priester, die zu Nobe waren. Und sie kamen alle zum König.(dhs) 1Sa 22:11 So the king sent to call Ahimelech the priest, the son of Ahitub, and all his father's house, the priests who were in Nob. And he answered, "Here I am, my lord."(nasb) 1Sa 22:12 καὶ εἶπεν Σαουλ ἄκουε δή υἱὲ Αχιτωβ καὶ εἶπεν ἰδοὺ ἐγώ λάλει κύριε (lxx) 1Sa 22:12 Et ait Saul ad Achimelech: Audi, fili Achitob. Qui respondit: Præsto sum, domine.(vulgate) 1Sa 22:12 Und Saul sprach: Höre, du Sohn Ahitobs! Er sprach: Hier bin ich, mein Herr.(dhs) 1Sa 22:12 And Saul said, "Hear now, son of Ahitub!" And he answered, "Here I am, my lord."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 22:13 ============ 1Sa 22:13 Saul then said to him, "Why have you and the son of Jesse conspired against me, in that you have given him bread and a sword and have inquired of God for him, so that he would rise up against me by lying in ambush as it is this day?"(nasb) 1Sa 22:13 καὶ εἶπεν αὐτῷ Σαουλ ἵνα τί συνέθου κατ᾽ ἐμοῦ σὺ καὶ ὁ υἱὸς Ιεσσαι δοῦναί σε αὐτῷ ἄρτον καὶ ῥομφαίαν καὶ ἐρωτᾶν αὐτῷ διὰ τοῦ θεοῦ θέσθαι αὐτὸν ἐπ᾽ ἐμὲ εἰς ἐχθρὸν ὡς ἡ ἡμέρα αὕτη (lxx) 1Sa 22:13 Dixitque ad eum Saul: Quare conjurastis adversum me, tu et filius Isai, et dedisti ei panes et gladium, et consuluisti pro eo Deum, ut consurgeret adversum me, insidiator usque hodie permanens?(vulgate) 1Sa 22:13 Und Saul sprach zu ihm: Warum habt ihr einen Bund wider mich gemacht, du und der Sohn Isais, daß du ihm Brot und Schwert gegeben und Gott für ihn gefragt hast, daß du ihn erweckest, daß er mir nachstelle, wie es am Tage ist?(dhs) 1Sa 22:13 Then Saul said to him, "Why have you conspired against me, you and the son of Jesse, in that you have given him bread and a sword, and have inquired of God for him, that he should rise against me, to lie in wait, as it is this day?"(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 22:14 ============ 1Sa 22:14 Then Ahimelech answered the king and said, "And who among all your servants is as faithful as David, even the king's son-in-law, who is captain over your guard, and is honored in your house?(nasb) 1Sa 22:14 καὶ ἀπεκρίθη τῷ βασιλεῖ καὶ εἶπεν καὶ τίς ἐν πᾶσιν τοῖς δούλοις σου ὡς Δαυιδ πιστὸς καὶ γαμβρὸς τοῦ βασιλέως καὶ ἄρχων παντὸς παραγγέλματός σου καὶ ἔνδοξος ἐν τῷ οἴκῳ σου (lxx) 1Sa 22:14 Respondensque Achimelech regi, ait: Et quis in omnibus servis tuis sicut David, fidelis, et gener regis, et pergens ad imperium tuum, et gloriosus in domo tua?(vulgate) 1Sa 22:14 Ahimelech antwortete dem König und sprach: Und wer ist unter allen deinen Knechten wie David, der getreu ist und des Königs Eidam und geht in deinem Gehorsam und ist herrlich gehalten in deinem Hause?(dhs) 1Sa 22:14 So Ahimelech answered the king and said, "And who among all your servants is as faithful as David, who is the king's son-in-law, who goes at your bidding, and is honorable in your house?(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 22:15 ============ 1Sa 22:15 Did I just begin to inquire of God for him today? Far be it from me! Do not let the king impute anything to his servant or to any of the household of my father, for your servant knows nothing at all of this whole affair."(nasb) 1Sa 22:15 ἦ σήμερον ἦργμαι ἐρωτᾶν αὐτῷ διὰ τοῦ θεοῦ μηδαμῶς μὴ δότω ὁ βασιλεὺς κατὰ τοῦ δούλου αὐτοῦ λόγον καὶ ἐφ᾽ ὅλον τὸν οἶκον τοῦ πατρός μου ὅτι οὐκ ᾔδει ὁ δοῦλος ὁ σὸς ἐν πᾶσιν τούτοις ῥῆμα μικρὸν ἢ μέγα (lxx) 1Sa 22:15 num hodie cœpi pro eo consulere Deum? absit hoc a me: ne suspicetur rex adversus servum suum rem hujuscemodi, in universa domo patris mei: non enim scivit servus tuus quidquam super hoc negotio, vel modicum vel grande.(vulgate) 1Sa 22:15 Habe ich denn heute erst angefangen Gott für ihn zu fragen? Das sei ferne von mir! Der König lege solches seinem Knecht nicht auf noch meines Vaters ganzem Hause; denn dein Knecht hat von allem diesem nichts gewußt, weder Kleines noch Großes.(dhs) 1Sa 22:15 Did I then begin to inquire of God for him? For your servant knew nothing of all this, little or much."(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 22:16 ============ 1Sa 22:16 But the king said, "You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you and all your father's household!"(nasb) 1Sa 22:16 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεὺς Σαουλ θανάτῳ ἀποθανῇ Αβιμελεχ σὺ καὶ πᾶς ὁ οἶκος τοῦ πατρός σου (lxx) 1Sa 22:16 Dixitque rex: Morte morieris Achimelech, tu et omnis domus patris tui.(vulgate) 1Sa 22:16 Aber der König sprach: Ahimelech, du mußt des Todes sterben, du und deines Vater ganzes Haus.(dhs) 1Sa 22:16 And the king said, "You shall surely die, Ahimelech, you and all your father's house!"(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 22:17 ============ 1Sa 22:17 And the king said to the guards who were attending him, "Turn around and put the priests of the Lord to death, because their hand also is with David and because they knew that he was fleeing and did not reveal it to me." But the servants of the king were not willing to put forth their hands to attack the priests of the Lord.(nasb) 1Sa 22:17 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τοῖς παρατρέχουσιν τοῖς ἐφεστηκόσιν ἐπ᾽ αὐτόν προσαγάγετε καὶ θανατοῦτε τοὺς ἱερεῖς τοῦ κυρίου ὅτι ἡ χεὶρ αὐτῶν μετὰ Δαυιδ καὶ ὅτι ἔγνωσαν ὅτι φεύγει αὐτός καὶ οὐκ ἀπεκάλυψαν τὸ ὠτίον μου καὶ οὐκ ἐβουλήθησαν οἱ παῖδες τοῦ βασιλέως ἐπενεγκεῖν τὰς χεῖρας αὐτῶν ἀπαντῆσαι εἰς τοὺς ἱερεῖς κυρίου (lxx) 1Sa 22:17 Et ait rex emissariis qui circumstabant eum: Convertimini, et interficite sacerdotes Domini, nam manus eorum cum David est: scientes quod fugisset, et non indicaverunt mihi. Noluerunt autem servi regis extendere manus suas in sacerdotes Domini.(vulgate) 1Sa 22:17 Und der König sprach zu seinen Trabanten, die neben ihm standen: Wendet euch und tötet des HERRN Priester! denn ihre Hand ist auch mit David, und da sie wußten, daß er floh, haben sie mir's nicht eröffnet. Aber die Knechte des Königs wollten ihre Hände nicht an die Priester des HERRN legen, sie zu erschlagen.(dhs) 1Sa 22:17 Then the king said to the guards who stood about him, "Turn and kill the priests of the Lord, because their hand also is with David, and because they knew when he fled and did not tell it to me." But the servants of the king would not lift their hands to strike the priests of the Lord.(nkjv) ======= 1 Samuel 22:18 ============ 1Sa 22:18 Then the king said to Doeg, "You turn around and attack the priests." And Doeg the Edomite turned around and attacked the priests, and he killed that day eighty-five men who wore the linen ephod.(nasb) 1Sa 22:18 καὶ εἶπεν ὁ βασιλεὺς τῷ Δωηκ ἐπιστρέφου σὺ καὶ ἀπάντα εἰς τοὺς ἱερεῖς καὶ ἐπεστράφη Δωηκ ὁ Σύρος καὶ ἐθανάτωσεν τοὺς ἱερεῖς κυρίου ἐν τῇ ἡμέρᾳ ἐκείνῃ τριακοσίους καὶ πέντε ἄνδρας πάντας αἴροντας εφουδ (lxx) 1Sa 22:18 Et ait rex ad Doëg: Convertere tu, et irrue in sacerdotes. Conversusque Doëg Idumæus, irruit in sacerdotes, et trucidavit in die illa octoginta quinque viros vestitos ephod lineo.(vulgate) 1Sa 22:18 Da sprach der König zu Doeg: Wende du dich und erschlage die Priester! Doeg, der Edomiter, wandte sich und erschlug die Priester, daß des Tages starben fünfundachtzig Männer, die leinene Leibröcke trugen.(dhs) 1Sa 22:18 And the king said to Doeg, "You turn and kill the priests!"
